]]> During the night, Ukraine attacked both sides of the Kerch Strait, and both an oil terminal and port infrastructure were set on fire. Read more at Kyiv Independent. It is remarkable if they managed to reach both sides of the strait considering that the bridge is supposed to be well protected by air defenses. There is no information about that, but it is not impossible that Ukraine also tested approaching the bridge to see how well it was guarded.

Russia also attacked Ukraine during the night, and in Zaporizhzhia at least five were killed and twelve injured, and in Poltava eleven injured are reported, including five children. Read more here and here.

]]> Ukraine has carried out a major attack on the Gazprom-owned refinery in Moscow, and several fires have broken out. Apparently, the refinery has been hit at least seven times according to this post “We are now at up to 7 impacts on the Kapotnya refinery in Moscow, Russia.” which also shows an overview image of the refinery. In this post, you get a sense of the scale “The sky over Moscow, Russia, has darkened” and also in this one.

Here is a spectacular video where you can see the “lid” of a tank being lifted “Close call for those guys when the silo of Russia’s Kapotnya refinery in Moscow exploded and launched the roof into the air.“, but there are plenty of videos.

Russia recently issued a ban on drones and small aircraft around Moscow and has also concentrated much of its air defense in and around the city. Nothing seems to matter much, Ukraine still reaches its targets.

Belgorod has also been visited. Here something is burning heavily and here a truck is being attacked.

]]> The G7 meeting appears to have been successful for Ukraine. It involves, among other things, arms deliveries, primarily in air defense, surveillance, and long-range weapons.
There is also talk of granting Ukraine expanded manufacturing licenses for military production, but this is somewhat vague, with officials saying they are “ready to consider” it.
They also plan to take a tougher stance on sanctions, mainly concerning oil and gas. They will continue to support Ukraine’s energy security ahead of the coming winter. Regarding Ukraine’s EU membership, formal accession negotiations are now set to begin.

Everything sounds good, of course; it remains to be seen what it will yield in practice. Not much was said about possible upcoming peace negotiations; Trump says he thinks Putin should make an agreement, but how that agreement is supposed to look was not clarified.

]]> Ukraine attacked several targets in Russia overnight, and a chemical factory in the Tula region as well as an oil depot in the Yaroslavl region reportedly caught fire.
The Azot chemical factory in the Russian city of Novomoskovsk in the Tula region, which was attacked, is located 395 kilometers from Ukraine. Russian authorities have confirmed that an attack took place but have not stated that the factory was hit, and any damage was presumably caused by debris.
The Yaroslavl region, where the oil depot was set on fire, is northeast of the Moscow region, about 700 km from Ukraine. Read more here.

Russian losses in Ukraine

Feeling like I’m repeating myself, but today’s report on Russian losses shows that they continue to suffer heavy losses. In addition to many killed and wounded soldiers, we have unusually high losses of armored vehicles compared to how it has looked recently. Twice since the turn of the year, it has been as high or higher with 11 and 13 respectively. 424 Soft vehicles is the fifth highest reporting for the entire war.

]]> Ukraine has carried out massive attacks against Russia, one of the targets was the naval shipyard at the historic port city of Kronstadt near Saint Petersburg. A fitting target since today is the last day of the economic forum held in Saint Petersburg. Here Kyiv Independent writes about the attacks and here is a post.
It seems that the attacks continue this morning. Another target hit during the attacks is an oil depot in Krasnodar Krai.
