Our brains – and our languages, fyi – wire us to read both East and West without getting high on either story. Yes, it should be possible to move Ukrainian production to other European countries. There shouldn’t be a shortage of space or machinery after all the manufacturing that has moved to China. Skilled workers are surely available as well, and financing can be arranged from the oligarch money.

Exactly. The threat that the Russians can disrupt production in Ukraine seems to be ignored by everyone. The Russians are not stupid, of course their intelligence in Ukraine does everything they can to find valuable targets.
