The thing is that countries see that one cannot dispose of their Euros as they wish if they have saved them in Europe. It is doubtful if even Turkey will be so eager to have a European currency reserve.

How will Russia wage war without oil? Now they have pipelines, of course, but still. Even the locomotives largely run on diesel, right? I didn’t find any figures on the exact percentage, but here it says (2021) that they will stop buying diesel locomotives by 2025.
