In reply to johan No.1. I was mainly thinking about private trips, and then first Turkey as a sunny holiday destination, vote with your wallet also ahead of the World Cup in Mexico, the USA, and Canada. Go and watch matches in Mexico and Canada, skip the USA.

Prune recommends an interesting (Russian!) article about the dire state of Russia’s National Welfare Fund – many of the funds are liquid and rapidly decreasing:
“It turns out that the liquid part of the national welfare fund decreased by 2.5 trillion rubles from December 2024 to March 2025: it was 5.8 trillion rubles and became less than 3.3 trillion rubles. It is easy to calculate that if it continues like this, the liquid part of the national welfare fund could be reduced to zero by early 2026. The situation could improve somewhat if additional oil and gas revenues are taken into account for 2024, but the problem will still persist.”

It’s sick that they celebrate October 7th.
Sometimes it feels like the Palestinian demonstrators around the world are often more extreme than ordinary people in Gaza, where many seem to prefer to avoid Hamas.
It’s understandable that they get angry about Israel committing war crimes time after time, but if you celebrate October 7th where Hamas started everything with its heinous acts, you don’t have much sense.

At this pace, Trump might resign before they have finished negotiating with everyone, and then it doesn’t seem 100% clear when they don’t even dare to mention which country.
