Russia once again carried out nighttime terror attacks against Ukraine. Zaporizhzhia was hit hard with at least 5 dead and 8 injured. Civil infrastructure and at least five residential buildings were also hit. The Russians used KAB in the attacks, and one of the bombs fell right in the middle of a marketplace.

The Russian-American surrender plan<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The plan put forward by Russia and the USA to end the war in Ukraine is entirely dictated by Putin and would mean Ukraine simply surrendering without any benefits. It would legitimize and reward Russia’s illegal war as they would both keep the land they have taken, avoid prosecution for war crimes, and pay no compensation. All concessions would harm Ukraine, which would have to halve its army, not join NATO, and not allow any foreign peacekeeping forces. Instead, all sanctions against Russia would be lifted, etc.
It is a unilaterally unfair and grotesque peace plan, and even though it’s not surprising that Putin is behind it, it is deeply unworthy of the USA to be a part of it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The US stance on the war in Ukraine has been based on “America first” and not getting involved in wars that do not concern them. Therefore, support for Ukraine has essentially dropped to zero, stating that it is up to Europe to solve it. However, when it comes to Israel, they have had no problem delivering weapons and support despite being on a different continent. The double standard is obvious.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But if they don’t want to get involved in supporting Ukraine and despite not being involved in any other way in the war, why are they in such a hurry to end the war in Ukraine? The answer is obvious. Trump’s approval ratings are getting worse and worse, risking losing the majority in the midterm elections. He simply needs something big that can turn things around, and he believes that ending the war in Ukraine, where he can take credit for it, will solve his problems. He only thinks of himself.
I haven’t had much respect for Trump before, but now I’m starting to feel a deep contempt for him when he is willing to sell out Ukraine to Russia just to get a propaganda victory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is unlikely that the horrible and deeply unfair plan will materialize. At least not as it is currently formulated.
Ukraine has responded and criticized the peace plan, the response is:
“We will never approve Ukrainian territories as Russian. Our country is not for sale”. Video from the statement in the UN Security Council<\/a>.
I have also seen other statements and, among others, an interview with a Ukrainian woman, and she is convinced that they will not agree to the plan. Zelenskyy has no right to sign an agreement abandoning Ukrainian land to Russia, and he is also aware that he would have a large part of the population against him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
