Zelenskyy and Trump met yesterday, but it remains to be seen if the meeting actually led to anything. Nothing concrete has emerged that seems likely to bring an end to the war in Ukraine in the near future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The press conference held after the meeting did not provide much information. They claimed to agree on many things, such as the importance of security guarantees, etc. but nothing concrete. Donbas was also discussed, and it was said that it is a question that remains to be resolved. Trump emphasized that significant progress was made, and Zelenskyy also expressed positivity. It is harder to grasp what this progress actually consisted of. Of course, Trump took the opportunity to once again claim that the election he lost was rigged, that there would have been no war if he had been president, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We were spared a repeat of the meeting when Trump and his staff embarrassed themselves by doing everything they could to humiliate Zelenskyy, so I would say that the meeting was at least positive as both parties seemed happy and positive this time.
