Factory on fire near Moscow<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Salyut factory, which produces engines for both the civilian and military aviation industry, is on fire. The factory is located approximately 4km from Moscow. There is no information on what caused the fire, perhaps it was a careless smoker or Ukraine. Posts with videos here<\/a> and another one here<\/a> show black smoke rising from the factory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Europe continues to contribute to the Russian economy by importing Russian gas<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

According to a report from Urgewald, the European market has imported liquefied natural gas (LNG) worth $8.4 billion solely from Yamal, Russia’s largest gas export terminal. Overall, the imports are likely slightly higher, but Yamal is the largest terminal so most likely it comes through there. Reportedly, France accounts for 42% of the imports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If the information is correct, it is certainly a failure. Europe (with a few exceptions) stands behind Ukraine and supports them in many ways, especially economically. Therefore, despite sanctions, feeding the Russian war chest by continuing to import gas deserves strong criticism. While it may take a couple of years to phase out agreements, adjust imports, etc., it is now almost four years since the war started. There is no excuse to continue.

It is worth mentioning that Urgewald is an environmental organization working for “clean energy” and against oil, gas, etc. They describe themselves as follows:

We go through annual reports, analyze databases, contact communities and non-governmental organizations in affected regions, and talk to insiders. This is how we show who is responsible for fossil fuel projects \u2013 whether it’s a coal power plant in Bangladesh, a mega-pipeline in East Africa, or LNG terminals in the Philippines.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

High Russian soldier losses in Ukraine<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

During a period, we had Russian troop losses well over 1000 per day, but recently the losses have fluctuated around 1000 per day, with an average of ~1030 in the last six months.
