{"id":6504,"date":"2022-08-19T09:41:05","date_gmt":"2022-08-19T07:41:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/johanno1.se\/2022-08-19-2\/"},"modified":"2026-09-21T16:29:53","modified_gmt":"2026-09-21T14:29:53","slug":"2022-08-19-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/johanno1.se\/en\/2022-08-19-2\/","title":{"rendered":"2022-08-19"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"import-comment import-comment-level-1\">\n<h3>10:41<\/h3>\n<p>I&#8217;ve lost my edge a bit, I feel, because it\u2019s been a long time since CV90 was brought up from my side.<br \/>\nOne of the last puzzle pieces is MBT + IFV and that is almost settled at least for MBT.<br \/>\n\u2014<br \/>\nWhen it comes to IFV, we basically only have ptgb, the Renault vehicles, and the M113, the glorified milk carton.<br \/>\nWarrior sounded cool until you googled it, 7.62mm.<br \/>\n200 CV90s would make a difference on the battlefield, that would be enough for a couple of brigades and be a good complement to the armor.<br \/>\nFill them with anti-tank rockets and Carl Gustaf and drive them down with heavy transport.<br \/>\n\u2014<br \/>\nThere are always a bunch of comments like &#8220;you have to understand (any argument why they can\u2019t be sent)&#8221; or that it wouldn\u2019t make any difference.<br \/>\nI believe the opposite: the publicity for Sweden would be enormous, future exports enormous, the difference on the battlefield would be noticeable, and the vehicles would be beta-tested against what they are intended for, grilling Russians.<br \/>\n\u2014<br \/>\nWe have these in storage today and the Russian threat has probably never been lower than today\u2026 I see every reason in the world to send these to Ukraine, for once we Swedes can be on the right side of history, that would feel good.<br \/>\nAll these war reparations we paid after WW2 that we called contributions to cover up would be forgotten.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"import-comment import-comment-level-1\">\n<h3>10:48<\/h3>\n<p>First, there will be offensive operations from Ukraine and then we will probably have an indication of the timeline here.<br \/>\nThe sluggishness of the Russians has surprised the best and you can never know when the collapse will come.<br \/>\nWhat I do think you can start to sense is that Putin will not be able to freeze the conflict so it will not be a long-lasting war like in 2014.<br \/>\nWhen Ukraine steps on the gas, it will take X number of months before the country is cleared of the criminal clan.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"import-comment import-comment-level-0\">\n<h2>10:57<\/h2>\n<p>I am completely sure that ATACMS either is in Ukraine or on its way so that Ukraine fires up its last long-range missiles.<br \/>\nWe saw this with 777, they came and there were 2-3 weeks of everything exploding within 30km.<br \/>\nThen it was HIMARS and we had a fantastic month with mushroom clouds up to 100km.<br \/>\nNow we have started the first week of party up to 300km with several targets taken out every night.<br \/>\n\u2014<br \/>\nWarmonitor summarized to (something is surely wrong),<br \/>\nEvents so far<br \/>\nExplosions at munitions depot, Timonovo Belgorod<br \/>\nExplosions at Stary Oskol Airfield Belgorod<br \/>\nExplosions in Nova Kakhovka Kherson<br \/>\nExplosions near Belbek airport Crimea<br \/>\nAir defence activity near Kerch strait<br \/>\nRussian bases hit in Luhansk<br \/>\nRussian FSB base hit W Crimea<br \/>\n\u2014<br \/>\nWhat\u2019s so funny is that the Russians have worked like little weasels to move everything beyond first 30-40km, then it was the same grind to move everything beyond 100km and now they are there again \ud83d\ude42<br \/>\nThis time it\u2019s game over for the logistics because it\u2019s not possible to drive forward enough on the roads.<br \/>\nMoreover, Ukrainian SOF have spread everywhere so mines and ambushes will stop a lot and the railway tracks are like pick-up sticks by now.<br \/>\nRussian logistics is now disrupted as much as possible and they have no backup plan.<br \/>\n\u2014<br \/>\nOne wonders how much stress a Russian colonel general in combat command can take here, first it was 777 and they solved it. When HIMARS came there were probably sleep problems and panic attacks but they barely managed. Now that it\u2019s time for ATACMS, I think even a Russian careerist\u2019s limit must have been reached. They can\u2019t really call in sick like us so they probably push straight to the wall and a massive stroke.<br \/>\nOne can at least wish them a nice autumn \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"import-comment import-comment-level-1\">\n<h3>13:08<\/h3>\n<p>What chaos in that tank \ud83d\ude42<br \/>\n\u2014<br \/>\nSending a request in the thread, the first kind of months somewhere there was a video of 3-4 tanks and some MTLBs that got artillery fire, they stood between a road and a wooded grove in some field.<br \/>\nThe tanks drove front to front in a semicircle and the MTLBs stood behind and drove back and forth.<br \/>\nNow that you can save Twitter videos, I have searched like crazy for it but haven\u2019t managed to find it.<br \/>\nIf anyone recognizes it, yes that\u2019s it, please post it because it goes straight into the library to post if anyone ever breathes that Russia is a threat.<br \/>\n\u2014<br \/>\nIt gave the association to the break room in One Flew Over the Cuckoo\u2019s Nest when you looked at how they reacted under stress.<br \/>\nThis one was a bit the same I thought
