One thing I may have never voiced in my criticism of Russians’ passivity towards the war and Russian war crimes is the large group of forcibly mobilized. Now that discussion is behind us, so maybe it becomes a bit irrelevant and can be disregarded. But at the same time, we have boxes of dental gold found in Lyman, now all that’s missing are pictures of piles of glasses and dolls and the circle is completely closed. Still, I see some logic in this dental gold thing\u2014when you’ve killed the people anyway, you probably don’t want the gold to go to waste; it becomes whole boxes full when you torture-murder thousands of people. What really hits deep is always the quantity, the enormous pile of dolls\u2026
\nLet’s see if they’ve been creative with hygiene products and lampshades too (maybe that was crossing the line but I’m quite frustrated about these abuses that never end, it just keeps getting worse).<\/p>\n

Right now, a not insignificant part of those left behind as rear troops to not break Putin’s presumed general order of no retreat are LPR and DPR units, and a not insignificant part of them are forcibly mobilized.
\nA not insignificant part of the imperialist Russian army will henceforth consist of (forcibly) mobilized soldiers caught up in this latest round of partial mobilization.
\nContract soldiers and volunteers are becoming a smaller and smaller part of the fighters, and above all, they will send DPR\/LPR\/newly mobilized first and leave them last \u2013 dog-eat-dog society.<\/p>\n

First, on a moral level, there is no reason to take out frustration on these people; they are truly forced.
\nThen they are an excellent opposition to Putin aka the Hypnopad. In DPR and LPR after the war, they will be driving normalization because they have seen the dark inner workings of the Russian imperialist army from the stands and can slap the ideologists in the two provinces who think the ends justify the means. They also have street cred that beats everything since they have been in combat units; that group cannot be ignored and will become influential and ensure that LPR and DPR seek Ukraine, EU membership, and a bright future.
\nThe same probably applies when Russian soldiers return home to Russia, maybe not influential but a capable opposition.<\/p>\n

But this only works if they are captured and then get to sit and nibble on a Shawarma and puff on some brand-name cigarette and feel that this was oceans better than serving in the imperialist Russian army where you get desecrated by Kadyrov Chechens just because they can and get to hunt swans on the Dnieper for food.
\nIf Ukraine wanted to hang every Russian, I wouldn’t protest; who are we to judge them after this, but if they have chosen to act correctly \u2013 very good.<\/p>\n

Then we have the group openly critical of the war in Russia who are punished and then have to suffer collectively anyway. Unfortunately, the world is not fair, but in a perfect world, if you can prove that you openly criticized the war and seek asylum, in my view, that is grounds for asylum (not just that you wanted to save your own skin but protested when you didn’t have to).
\nA very simple way for exiled Russians to distance themselves from the war is to have been openly critical of the war, I think? If you have a Twitter, any Twitter, that you have login to and have criticized the war since February 24, you are, so to speak, free from collective guilt in the West’s eyes because then you are active opposition?
\nYou can also go around your workplace and say how much you hate Putin all the time just to be on the safe side?<\/p>\n

Finally, I think almost the entire West would turn on a dime if the Russian people decided on democracy; the support would be enormous. It is passivity paired with what is happening in Ukraine that creates Russophobia; that can very quickly turn into great support. Think Ukraine\u2026<\/p>\n

If the Russian people continue to be passive at the level we have seen so far, there is another risk that has nothing to do with the West. If they continue in the same footsteps, the Russian rulers, whoever takes over after the Hypnopad, will seek China and not the West. Then Russia becomes a poor vassal province and raw material colony to China rather than democratized. A big loss for the Russian people, so there is more at stake than just being judged for the Ukraine war here.<\/p>\n

Then you have this with fleeing from Russia; the country is too big and the risk of subversive elements too high, so the West will always hit the brakes if there is any kind of larger migration.<\/p>\n

The Russian people either have to do a Ukraine or they will have a pretty dark future, a bit like the Middle Ages right after the plague, going forward, and there is really nothing the free West can do here. If they choose China, it becomes China; the free West will not go to a liberation war against China for that, at least not after this.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

They did something that casts a bit of a shadow \u2013 first Zelensky who announces “we will never forgive, we will prosecute you,” and then a reporter who confirms that 20 have been executed so far.<\/p>\n

The program makes the connection that Zelensky has approved executions in an ugly way; these are partisans who murder, everyone captured is prosecuted according to Ukrainian law, and that is what Zelensky means.<\/p>\n

Then someone who got five days in prison and is not allowed to speak about politics \u2013 what oppression compared to castration and a gas mask with an elephant trunk to control breathing during torture.<\/p>\n

I think it leans towards criticizing Ukraine. There is probably cause for that, but we do that when the Russians are thrown out.<\/p>\n

Then they are completely united on the big strokes: Russia is the aggressor, Russia must change, and they will lose.<\/p>\n

I understand how they think, but they should have been able to shave off that bit of criticism that exists for Ukraine. Pro-Russian forums\/psyops will cut and paste and use it for PR purposes that this is what Swedish state TV says.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Have you seen the latest videos from the offensive east of the Oskil River and in Kherson where the Ukrainian soldiers look whole, clean, and very charged. They have an adrenaline rush that would make any addict jealous.
\nThese are frontline combat units.<\/p>\n

Compare that to the staggering circus that, when captured, have a thousand-mile stare and clothes in tatters, not something you get from three days of fighting directly but from 7 months under terrible conditions.<\/p>\n
