Everyone has different situations but for my part, bills, higher prices, and interest rates are not a problem, but the unknown around the electricity price is unpleasant. A cold December \u2013 February pulls kWh and if there is an average price of 4-6 SEK and all surcharges then it becomes a sum if you don&#8217;t want ice on the floor\u2026<\/p>\n<p>I read an article today in the newspaper that district heating companies have approached customers with a one-time payment of 400,000 SEK in S\u00f6dert\u00f6rn. Otherwise, the queue for installation is quite long so I hope for La Nina so the frost doesn&#8217;t set in this winter and they can work.<\/p>\n<p>Now Johan also understands that some players are doing a Portugal (when they joined the EUR) and driving up prices even though they don&#8217;t need to if they can. District heating companies are partly affected by higher electricity prices but when electricity companies carve gold without new investments, there is probably no reason for them to stay for 2-3 years then?<br \/>\nAs a company, you come up with hard-to-control explanatory models and increase the price.<\/p>\n<p>Do you remember how the grid companies behaved a couple of years ago and doubled the fees every year with justifications about maintenance when you had both paid taxes to them and paid fees. Now it was not ongoing maintenance but deferred maintenance we had to pay for. Irresponsible to create this situation.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"import-comment import-comment-level-0\">\n<h2>10:05<\/h2>\n<p>Forgot to write that the cost for district heating where we live is 400 SEK\/month in fixed cost + summer half-year 30 \u00f6re and winter half-year 40 \u00f6re total cost per kWh. It probably costs about 80,000 SEK to connect.<br \/>\n(maybe tax and VAT on that I don&#8217;t know?)<\/p>\n<p>Have checked with them and there is backup power, they are scaling up and there are two plants, one that burns everything like garbage etc. and the other burns wood chips from the forest industry \u2013 so no shortage of fuel.<\/p>\n<p>Now the only thing that is a bit unfortunate is that they have received double the number of connection requests compared to a normal year and that they have problems with materials but they are working on it. If one guesses, we will be connected by summer at the latest.<\/p>\n<p>Then if you want to be environmentally friendly, they have filters that minimize emissions.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"import-comment import-comment-level-0\">\n<h2>10:16<\/h2>\n<p>Now I am out in deep water but if you have district heating, what is the rest of the electricity need, +5000 kWh?<\/p>\n<p>Is there any way to provide this with a battery solution and solar cells so you can disconnect from the power grid?<br \/>\nThis is probably spread evenly over the year, right, so there isn&#8217;t a spike in winter.<\/p>\n<p>There has started to be talk about battery solutions and that solar cells are becoming more and more efficient and the by far biggest electricity thief is heating and shower \u2013 if you get rid of that you don&#8217;t have much left or is the unit (or whatever it is) for district heating an electricity thief?<br \/>\nCan&#8217;t you also have a big UPS battery for the TV that charges during the day and works 6 hours in the evening (don&#8217;t know\u2026)?<\/p>\n<p>I could quite easily run the dishwasher and washing machine during the day as well as a more energy-efficient fridge and lamps that use less and the need at night becomes low?<br \/>\nIf you then have a garage full of batteries it must work I think or have I missed something here \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>Surely you have to get some output from the solar cells even in Dec-February so you can run household equipment?<br \/>\nIf not, shout otherwise it&#8217;s probably time to start thinking in that direction I think because the electricity grid fee is also quite high.<\/p>\n<p>I saw it as unfeasible when you also had the heating
