It is probably a bit too early, but very soon we can finally write “and so it has begun” and this time it\u2019s for real \u2013 the best five words to write this year.
\nSince history is being written, it must have a date too \u2013 we\u2019ll have to agree later whether it was now or later.<\/p>\n

What I think we see is a continuation of the reconnaissance battles that have been going on for the past month or so, and each time UA gets further than they expected, and that also makes the rounds in the media \u2013 with increased intensity.<\/p>\n

I also think I see a trend break, which is that RU losses increase without direct offensive operations from the Russian horde, so I wonder if it could be related to increased UA intensity?<\/p>\n

There are also videos circulating of overloaded vehicles leaving the area behind the southern front, so it\u2019s actually approaching the status of “Twitter-confirmed with lots of footage”.
\nRats leaving a sinking ship are usually a good indicator of what\u2019s to come.<\/p>\n

UA is probably keeping quiet as usual, and suddenly we are right in the middle of Russian retreats and UA breakthroughs all over with gradually increasing intensity until Putin\u2019s sad house of cards collapses.<\/p>\n

Every day is one day too many \u2013 may Ukraine\u2019s offensive be as fast as a tuned teenage scooter and as tough as an over-grilled ICA chicken.<\/p>\n

I get the impression that UA has distributed the new equipment supplied to a large number of brigades.<\/p>\n

They didn\u2019t pool the Western equipment and fully equip 4-6 armored or mechanized brigades as I thought they might. Then they would take the better Soviet equipment and equip 6-8 brigades with the best of that, and the rest got what was left over.<\/p>\n

My feeling is that they seem to have topped up a much larger number of brigades with Western equipment, what do you think?<\/p>\n

For a while, the Airmobile got Challengers, then Leo2 to armored brigades, Bradley to mechanized, and so on.
\nAnd every time we get information, it\u2019s a new brigade.<\/p>\n

Advantages or disadvantages with this, I think it\u2019s only advantages \u2013 each brigade has been able to submit a wish list of what they need to get the best out of that brigade, and they have tried to distribute as fairly as possible and put together a puzzle that makes as many brigades as possible as combat effective as possible.<\/p>\n

We know that Territorial has now received T62 tanks, and that tells me at least that all other brigades have what they need including the National Guard. I summed up the total to 100 brigades in total including Territorial, and they are becoming lightly mechanized with BMP-1 and T62.<\/p>\n

Yesterday I gave some figures on delivered equipment and it is astronomical. If you check Oryx, which is epicly behind actual losses, UA has captured a very large amount of IFVs and tanks that all of Europe has helped get into good condition.<\/p>\n

If you add confirmed losses with confirmed captured and delivered, they today have a higher capability in the tank branch than they had on February 24, 2022.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s almost dizzying but we saw this already last spring and then started talking about the critical mass and that it was to Ukraine\u2019s advantage if you remember?<\/p>\n

So it has continued and in the middle of an ongoing war, they have managed to build up several mechanized divisions while the Russians have managed to torpedo their entire army.<\/p>\n

According to Today\u2019s Gregg, the offensive is resourced with ammunition and fuel, the ground bearing capacity is almost okay now too, so more and more pieces have fallen into place.<\/p>\n
