Previous reports were 800-1000 tanks in northern Luhansk if I remember correctly so it is going downhill fast with the armored vehicles.
Add to that the CAA that were brought down to Avdiivka so it is a rather thin Russian line in northern Luhansk right now.

Then we have the “southern” group which apparently includes Bakhmut and Avdiivka, i.e. the Donetsk area and it would have 500 tanks and 1600 IFVs. We all know how the miracle at Avdiivka is going in real time so this number probably needs to be revised down sharply.
According to him, 8 CAA attacked in Avdiivka with 20th and 150th MRD as well as a mosaic of DPR units.
150th MRD is located in Bakhmut so weakened there for Avdiivka and 20th MRD was already in the Donetsk area.
Conclusion that the area around Donetsk has been significantly weakened after the fiasco in Avdiivka.

Further to the southern front, should be around 100,000 with 590 tanks and 1275 IFVs and APCs.

Surprisingly many armored vehicles at the Dnipro actually (not listed them) and only 12,000 soldiers in Crimea – Erik14 was right, again… as usual.

We can all sum this up and what remains of MBTs is quite meager now and not to forget that hundreds are T62 and T54-55 or older without later modification T72 – Yes, they are seriously short on armor.

The figure for armored personnel carriers includes MTLB and all sorts so it is not 4500 BMP-3s left.

I believe UA has more MBTs in absolute numbers and that they have better vehicles and that UA has more armored vehicles overall, ptgb, APC and IFV.

Then probably 30%-40% of the Russian vehicles have technical faults and on the UA side the workshops all over Europe are working themselves to death to service the vehicle fleet.

Let’s hope Dengamle gets back in time to nail a – “Tonight the tanks roll ✊”

There is quite a lot of doubt about the ambition level but when you send in SOF and reconnaissance which are among the most protected resources you have to clear defense systems – then you have aimed high.

Then we have the whole peak discussion – also completely wrong but we have to wait until it is disproved by increased intensity.
UA would never have crossed the Dnipro if it had peaked, right?

Sure, Ukraine had planned to break through at the southern front this summer but it simply did not work.
They have now carried out the preparations they need to make to be able to get their breakthroughs.
After New Year, RU has new fresh CAA to send to the fronts so the time between now and New Year is the low point they have to relate to.

Now we are also entering a period of rain and cold, I am now taking a wild guess but I believe that mobilized units have worse equipment than previous cold periods and that this time autumn and winter can hit the Russians hard.

Ukraine’s SOF, partisans and reconnaissance are a constantly growing group.
Even territorials now have their own capabilities.
While the Russians’ counterparts die in the ditches at the front as infantry.
Darkness is their friend and they will ravage one more season with the newly mobilized Russians.

Evidence 827 – Kremlin representatives admit that RU actively supported H..as attack, end of the tie, boxers and windows for this person. Except in Turkey, where the weapon used was an angry mob.

Then you can believe what you want about the American destroyer and the two missiles and drone that were shot down. Does anyone believe that the Houthi rebels sent a drone against I..el from Yemen, are they world leaders in long-range drones?

A small indication of where this is heading is that the US has just announced that their citizens should leave several MENA countries.

To summarize, the war in Ukraine is heading towards an eventful late summer that will make Putin binge on omeprazole, but Russia and China managed to escalate anyway despite a rather shaky start, but the West sitting on its hands and pretending nothing was happening was just enough.

If the West had sent everything at the low point in 2022, this would never have happened; if Ukraine had received everything before its spring offensive so it had crushed the Russians, this would never have happened (sure, doubt the last one because the mines would have been there anyway…).

After 2014, Putin was welcome in the fine rooms of the West – that was our Chamberlain moment.

Now we stand on the brink of a global conflict, and from where I sit in my parents’ basement room, it looks like it will continue to escalate.

Here is a video from Iran where heavy rockets are being moved.
https://twitter.com/maks_nafo_fella/status/1715100673602163087?s=46&t=0khXAR5__UGVduwrGWaHdQ

We must not forget Africa in the middle of all this and that Russia is actively destabilizing some of the world’s most fragile countries and that no one cares.

A reflection on the West’s passivity here – if I, in my job in Africa where we are tasked with monitoring contractors, had seen my colleague dining with the contractor’s PM – I would have acted immediately on suspicion of irregularities.
If you, working in the Green Party, had seen your colleague having lunch with a representative from the SD – you would have acted immediately.
And so on.
It is such an obvious betrayal by Orban, who has EU and NATO membership to manage, that it is completely incomprehensible that it has no consequences when he sits in cozy meetings with Putin.
Yes, I know that you cannot just throw out clauses, but we didn’t need to pay Hungary all the grants, and why is he still invited to everything as an honored head of state in the West.

Reaching the point where this will not de-escalate does not mean that we will be standing at a mob armory fingering AK4s in about half a year.

Ukraine will push Russia back to the 1991 borders, and Russia will no longer be able to threaten Europe in this war.
