-Barbarians highest month in the entire war, they have diligently run across the fields towards their death in May 2024

\n-UAV highest month in the war.
\n-Artillery highest single month in the war by a good margin.
\n-Shrapnel protection second highest month in the war and almost a first.

For my part, I keep track of the daily death toll and see where it heads after the middle of the month sometime but when going through the reports on Twitter, one hasn’t exactly gotten the impression that this by a good margin has been the bloodiest month in a war that has lasted 2.5 years, but hard numbers never lie \u2013 May 2024 is probably the worst month Putin has ever had.<\/p>\n

There have also been a total of seven (7) attacks on refineries during May 2024 and unfortunately, I don’t keep track of oil depots but there have been many attacks on those as well.<\/p>\n

It is hard to draw any other conclusion than that the Russian empire is going downhill and that the red storm is slowly starting to become weak and worried.<\/p>\n

Now we are back to 4 expats again so full staffing which is good \u2013 then I can work less and hang out more in the thread.<\/p>\n

There are other things the West hasn’t done if we are to complain a little longer, of the 18 countries that promised to pay for the Czech alternative, only 4\/18 have paid. It has nothing to do with ammunition shortage but is payment for existing ammunition. What exciting explanation model do we have for the West not even being able to pay for ammunition that can be picked up tomorrow, a few million shells?<\/p>\n

Then I\u2019ll do a quick one to MRF again, it\u2019s no secret that US policy has been driven by fear of escalation, they have stated that themselves \u2013 can be quickly googled. We can reasonably assume they had Germany with them on that line, partly it has been hinted at but then Scholz has also pushed the same talking points.<\/p>\n

Now in 2024 most things have changed and now it seems we have reached the point where Ukraine gets what they need and without lots of geographical restrictions or other things that hinder them in their job of killing Russians.<\/p>\n

We know for sure that the West has protested since 2023 against raids in Belgorod, drone attacks on oil depots, drone attacks on refineries and LV against targets in Russia. Zelensky has confirmed it and we have also read it in the newspapers.
\nIt has nothing to do with NATO\u2019s defense capability or does it?<\/p>\n

Then there is the UN. The oil organization. IEA(?), Amnesty and the Pope have also gone out repeatedly and condemned Ukraine\u2019s constant escalations \u2013 most recently it was the Pope\u2019s spokesperson who thought it was a bad idea to shoot at targets in Russia.<\/p>\n

Very few of these and all others condemned Russia when they blew up the Khakovka dam.<\/p>\n

But that -certain countries- in the West have held back on materiel earlier has to do with this and not defense capability and the other explanatory models are my opinion.<\/p>\n

That line is also actually contradicted by the fact that Poland, Czechia and the Baltics have drastically reduced their defense capability by sending everything they could to Ukraine because they are part of the buffer zone. These countries probably intuitively understood that they were next in line and then they know exactly what it is like to live under the Soviet Union. If it had been about maintaining capability, they probably wouldn\u2019t have reduced the defense of the buffer zone to near zero in some places?<\/p>\n

This one is big, the Red Cross betrayed its promise with the Mariupol prisoners and this woman has been in captivity for two years. Prisoners who return rarely mention rapes but men and women are subjected to it countless times and one can only guess how many times this woman has been raped during two years of captivity. The betrayal from the Red Cross is absolutely total but again nothing that is discussed, previously released prisoners have confirmed that the RC did not visit them at all, others that it was Russian representatives who hated Ukrainians and contributed to them being treated badly. This organization tricked Ukraine to surrender simply by using its international reputation as a guarantee. Apparently, there are 1500 Mariupol prisoners still in captivity.

Your last paragraph is the key \u2013 every country’s Chief of Defense has a job description for national defense and now the increased threat level and it is well known that the entire West has rushed and taken contracts on all the equipment that can be manufactured so Ukraine could not buy anything when they finally got funds.<\/p>\n

They ABSOLUTELY look after their own house first and that is why I have been so angry throughout the whole war, the flawed thinking is monumental.<\/p>\n

The Russian threat that everyone perceives as rising is actually falling, and if Portugal needs its national defense, it is already game over.<\/p>\n

Then you have to learn to distinguish between DEPLOYED EQUIPMENT and STORED EQUIPMENT. Taking from the deployed lowers the capability.<\/p>\n

If you can win the war by sending stored equipment, as France and many other countries do, you have not lowered your capability at all.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
