5 dead and 8 injured in Zaporizhzhia after Russia’s nightly terrorist attacks

Russia once again carried out nighttime terror attacks against Ukraine. Zaporizhzhia was hit hard with at least 5 dead and 8 injured. Civil infrastructure and at least five residential buildings were also hit. The Russians used KAB in the attacks, and one of the bombs fell right in the middle of a marketplace.

The Russian-American surrender plan

The plan put forward by Russia and the USA to end the war in Ukraine is entirely dictated by Putin and would mean Ukraine simply surrendering without any benefits. It would legitimize and reward Russia’s illegal war as they would both keep the land they have taken, avoid prosecution for war crimes, and pay no compensation. All concessions would harm Ukraine, which would have to halve its army, not join NATO, and not allow any foreign peacekeeping forces. Instead, all sanctions against Russia would be lifted, etc.
It is a unilaterally unfair and grotesque peace plan, and even though it’s not surprising that Putin is behind it, it is deeply unworthy of the USA to be a part of it.

The US stance on the war in Ukraine has been based on “America first” and not getting involved in wars that do not concern them. Therefore, support for Ukraine has essentially dropped to zero, stating that it is up to Europe to solve it. However, when it comes to Israel, they have had no problem delivering weapons and support despite being on a different continent. The double standard is obvious.

But if they don’t want to get involved in supporting Ukraine and despite not being involved in any other way in the war, why are they in such a hurry to end the war in Ukraine? The answer is obvious. Trump’s approval ratings are getting worse and worse, risking losing the majority in the midterm elections. He simply needs something big that can turn things around, and he believes that ending the war in Ukraine, where he can take credit for it, will solve his problems. He only thinks of himself.
I haven’t had much respect for Trump before, but now I’m starting to feel a deep contempt for him when he is willing to sell out Ukraine to Russia just to get a propaganda victory.

It is unlikely that the horrible and deeply unfair plan will materialize. At least not as it is currently formulated.
Ukraine has responded and criticized the peace plan, the response is:
“We will never approve Ukrainian territories as Russian. Our country is not for sale”. Video from the statement in the UN Security Council.
I have also seen other statements and, among others, an interview with a Ukrainian woman, and she is convinced that they will not agree to the plan. Zelenskyy has no right to sign an agreement abandoning Ukrainian land to Russia, and he is also aware that he would have a large part of the population against him.

Below you will find the 28 points included in the plan.

Russian losses

  • 1050 KWIA
  • 3 AFVs
  • 20 Artillery systems
  • 150 UAVs
  • 65 Vehicles & Fuel tanks

Update 2025-11-21 08:22:

The 28 points of the Russian-American “peace plan”

Of course, not all points are completely unreasonable, but one understands that it is Putin who has dictated the terms and the USA has probably just nodded and accepted.

1. Ukraine’s sovereignty shall be confirmed.

2. A comprehensive and all-encompassing non-aggression agreement shall be concluded between Russia, Ukraine, and Europe. All uncertainties from the last 30 years shall be considered resolved.

3. It is expected that Russia does not invade neighboring countries and that NATO does not expand further.

4. A dialogue shall be held between Russia and NATO, with the USA as a mediator, to resolve all security issues and create conditions for relaxation, aiming to ensure global security and increase opportunities for cooperation and future economic development.

5. Ukraine shall receive reliable security guarantees.

6. The size of Ukraine’s armed forces shall be limited to 600,000 personnel.

7. Ukraine agrees to enshrine in its constitution that the country shall not join NATO, and NATO agrees to introduce a provision in its statutes that Ukraine will not be admitted in the future.

8. NATO agrees not to station troops in Ukraine.

9. European fighter jets shall be based in Poland.

10. USA’s guarantee:
The USA shall be compensated for the guarantee.
If Ukraine invades Russia, the guarantee ceases to apply.
If Russia invades Ukraine, in addition to a decisive and coordinated military response, all global sanctions shall be reinstated, and the recognition of new territory and all other benefits in the agreement shall be withdrawn.
If Ukraine fires a missile at Moscow or St. Petersburg without cause, the security guarantee becomes void.

11. Ukraine shall be entitled to EU membership and shall have short-term preferential access to the EU market while the issue is being addressed.

12. A comprehensive global action package to rebuild Ukraine shall be established, including:
A development fund for Ukraine for investments in fast-growing sectors, including technology, data centers, and artificial intelligence.
The USA shall cooperate with Ukraine to jointly rebuild, develop, modernize, and operate Ukraine’s gas infrastructure, including pipelines and storage facilities.
Joint efforts to restore war-torn areas and rebuild and modernize cities and residential areas.
 Infrastructure development.
Extraction of minerals and natural resources.
The World Bank shall develop a special financing package to accelerate these efforts.

13. Russia shall be reintegrated into the global economy:
Sanctions shall be discussed and lifted gradually and on a case-by-case basis.
The USA shall enter into a long-term economic cooperation agreement for mutual development in energy, natural resources, infrastructure, artificial intelligence, data centers, extraction of rare earth metals in the Arctic, and other mutually beneficial business projects.
Russia shall be invited to rejoin the G8 (current G7 without Russia).

14. Frozen funds shall be used as follows:
100 billion dollars of frozen Russian assets shall be invested in US-led initiatives to rebuild and invest in Ukraine. The USA shall receive 50 percent of the profit.
Europe shall contribute an additional 100 billion dollars to increase the investment volume in Ukraine’s reconstruction.
Frozen European funds shall be unfrozen.
The remaining frozen Russian assets shall be invested in a separate US-Russian investment company that carries out joint projects in specific areas.
The purpose is to strengthen relations and create common interests that counteract future conflicts.

15. A joint American-Russian working group on security issues shall be established to monitor and ensure that all parts of the agreement are followed.

16. Russia shall legislate a non-aggression policy towards Europe and Ukraine.

17. The USA and Russia shall agree to extend the validity of agreements on non-proliferation and control of nuclear weapons, including the START I agreement.

18. Ukraine agrees to be a non-nuclear state in accordance with the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).

19. The Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant shall be put into operation under the supervision of the IAEA, and the electricity produced shall be distributed equally between Russia and Ukraine – 50/50.

20. Both countries shall undertake educational programs in schools and society to promote understanding and tolerance and counteract racism and prejudice:
Ukraine shall adopt EU rules on religious tolerance and protection of linguistic minorities.
Both countries shall abolish all discriminatory measures and guarantee the rights of Ukrainian and Russian media and education.
All Nazi ideology and activities shall be rejected and prohibited.

21. Territories:
Crimea, Luhansk, and Donetsk shall be recognized as de facto Russian, also by the USA.
Cherson and Zaporizhzhia shall be frozen along the contact line, implying a de facto recognition of the line as the border.
Russia shall relinquish other agreed-upon areas it controls outside of the five regions.
Ukrainian forces shall withdraw from the part of Donetsk oblast they control. This area shall become a neutral and demilitarized buffer zone, internationally recognized as belonging to the Russian Federation. Russian forces shall not enter the demilitarized zone.

22. Once future territorial arrangements are established, both Ukraine and Russia commit not to alter them by force. Security guarantees do not apply in case of violations.

23. Russia shall not obstruct Ukraine from using the Dnieper for commercial purposes, and agreements shall be reached on the free transport of grain across the Black Sea.

24. A humanitarian committee shall be established to address remaining issues:
All remaining prisoners and bodies shall be exchanged according to the “all for all” principle.
All civilian prisoners and hostages shall be returned, including children.
A program for family reunification shall be implemented.
Measures shall be taken to alleviate the suffering of the conflict’s victims.

25. Ukraine shall hold elections within 100 days.

26. All parties to the conflict shall receive full amnesty for their actions during the war and refrain from future claims and legal demands.

27. The agreement shall be legally binding. Implementation shall be monitored and guaranteed by a peace council led by President Donald J. Trump. Sanctions shall be imposed for violations.

28. Once all parties approve this memorandum, a ceasefire shall take effect immediately after both sides have withdrawn to agreed-upon points to commence implementation.

  1. AFU reports:

    • 173 combat clashes
    • 62 aviation strikes
    • 145 KAB
    • 3674 shellings (53 from MLRS)
    • 3 470 kamikaze drones
Low figures for artillery and drones
  2. “US Embassy chief Julie Davis says peace talks between Ukraine and Russia are moving at an “aggressive pace,” calling it one of the most intense diplomatic pushes she’s seen in 30 years. In reality, this “aggressive pace” looks a lot more like extortion and a sellout.”

  3. “Russia demands a place among the G7 countries again in order to accept the US peace plan in Ukraine. This is reported by The Telegraph, which has published the 28-point peace plan.

The peace plan has been developed in secret between diplomats from the USA and Russia, without involving Ukraine, which has sparked criticism in Europe.

Among the demands are also territorial concessions, with Ukraine giving up the Donbas region and the Crimean Peninsula. In addition, they are to reduce their defense force to 600,000 soldiers and hand over long-range missiles that can reach Moscow. Similar to demands previously made by Russia, Ukraine will also not be allowed to join NATO.

Sources in Kyiv tell The Telegraph that they are very critical of the plan and that European allies have not condemned it.”

    1. I read somewhere that Ukraine would have a week to accept the so-called peace proposal and then everything would be settled before the end of the year. And I assume the urgency is because the Nobel Peace Prize nomination period for the 2026 prize applies to what has happened in 2025 and must be nominated before 31/01 2026.
What a proper shit agreement! Here they reward the perpetrator and further abuse the victim, I am so extremely fed up with Trump’s and his followers’ way of handling everything.
Europe really needs to stand by Ukraine’s side and be tough in a peace agreement. Given Russia’s track record, one may wonder why anyone believes they will keep a signed agreement…

      1. Ah, hence the hurry.

Exactly, besides the fact that the agreement is a mockery, it is indeed the USA (and some peace council) that decides if someone breaks it and then everyone knows that Russia never keeps any agreements or follows rules. In that case, they would never have attacked Ukraine because they have already signed and promised not to do so.

Trump is mentioned in the agreement, and now we know that we can’t trust him either.

“The implementation shall be monitored and guaranteed by a peace council led by President Donald J Trump.”

        1. Plus, the USA is going to make a lot of money on the reconstruction, Europe will pay, and Russia will get back most of its frozen assets… and which companies do you think will get a piece of the pie, well of course those that are part of the Trump family…
And now Trump is threatening to cut off everything to Ukraine if they don’t sign this agreement by next week. Extortion to say the least.
I wonder if there will be another televised meeting at the White House where the Trump mafia will go after Zelensky like last spring.

  4. The road that the American peace plan charts does not lead to peace in Ukraine, but to the country surrendering. That’s what Sky News’ Michael Clarke says in an analysis.

He points out that the plan means Ukraine is giving away territory without getting anything in return, is forced to reduce its defense and thus become more vulnerable to future attacks. In addition, the agreement is sweetened with questions about the status of the Russian language and the Russian church in Ukraine.

    – The plan completely undermines Ukraine’s sovereignty, he says.

“Financial Times Ukraine correspondent Christopher Miller says in a podcast interview that Donald Trump is tired of the war, would rather make big deals with Vladimir Putin, and sees an opportunity to pressure Kyiv.

He says that Zelensky is weakened by several of his allies at home being targets of a huge corruption scandal and by Russia, despite heavy losses, succeeding in its attacks on civilian and military targets.

    – Trump is not ready to pressure the aggressor Russia, something that would take time, require tough sanctions, and mean the US sending more weapons to Ukraine, which he sees as an escalation, says Miller.”

  5. Off-Topic, Israel – Palestine

It is obvious that it is not possible to force a peace when both parties are unwilling to end the conflict.

“On Thursday, Israel carried out attacks on both Khan Younis and Gaza City. According to the local health authority, at least 33 people have been killed, reports AP.

The attacks were said to be a response to Israeli soldiers being shot at in Khan Younis on Wednesday. The Israeli military (IDF) states that two Hamas members were the targets of the attacks.

Hamas, on the other hand, condemns the attacks and at the same time denies that they had fired at Israeli soldiers.

The attacks are now putting pressure on the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, writes the news agency, and come shortly after the UN Security Council gave the green light to Trump’s peace plan.”

    1. Is the USA’s peace proposal a helping hand for Putin to end the war? The USA has the world’s best intelligence operation and has a firm grip on the situation in Russia. For some reason, they do not want Putin to lose the war. Biden didn’t want that either for some reason. I think cracks are starting to show in Russia and Trump is worried that the Russians will lose the war. Unfortunately, it seems that NATO and the EU are slowly approaching the USA’s position, which is worrying. Alexander Stubb has made some statements pointing in that direction, as Johan has noted, most recently yesterday. I hope I am wrong, but right now Europe is more than justifiably quiet and hesitant.

      1. It usually takes a few days before representatives from Europe start raising their voices.

It probably needs France, Germany, and the United Kingdom to object in order for it to have an effect. We’ll see how it turns out. Feels like it could go either way.

      2. Since it is now Trump/Putin, Witkoff/Kirill who have discussed, it is likely that the USA prioritizes speed and economic gain, and in this case it is to give Russia what they want, and if Ukraine and Europe do not agree to it, the USA will withdraw.

Actually, these are the thoughts we have had here since Trump became president. He does not care about Ukrainians or Europeans in general, he just wants to have it his way so he can enrich himself and establish a dictatorship in the USA with Putin as a mentor.

        1. Deadline is apparently 27/11. On Thanksgiving Day. Couldn’t the USA have chosen a more suitable day. Thanksgivingback day does not exist (yet).

  6. The 28-point peace plan for the war in Ukraine is “stillborn”.

This is according to Ukraine expert Fredrik Wesslau speaking to TT.

A part of the plan published by The Telegraph involves territorial concessions from Ukraine’s side, where the country would be forced to give up the regions of Crimea, Luhansk, and Donetsk.

“The plan contains elements that to a very large extent accept Russia’s maximalist demands. For example, the demand that Ukraine must withdraw its troops from Donbas is a pure trap – it would undermine the country’s ability to defend itself against a future Russian attack,” says Wesslau.

He also assesses it as unlikely that either Ukraine or Europe would accept the demand for Ukraine to halve its army or stop receiving European arms deliveries.”

  7. Just as I suspected, Europe has not managed to increase its support to compensate for the US withdrawal (see image).

Most people understood that if Trump won, the US would not maintain its support based on Trump’s rhetoric. There was a small glimmer of hope that perhaps it was just something he constantly talked about to attract MAGA voters, but at the same time, it would have been very strange if he had suddenly changed course after the election, considering how strongly he pushed the issue that Ukraine should not receive a penny and how terrible Zelenskyy was for begging for money.

Now we are here with support to Ukraine that has been almost halved, and even though Europe now has the main responsibility, Trump believes he has the right to interfere and try to force peace plans.

Even if Kamala had hesitated and not dared to send long-range weapons just like Biden, weapons and other deliveries worth 30-50 billion USD per year would probably have continued, and it is not impossible that it would have increased if the Democrats had also gained power in both the Senate and the House. If it hadn’t been for the Republicans slowing down even before Trump came to power, the support would probably have been higher even earlier.

This is exactly what I was worried about before the election, and unfortunately, it is actually even worse, because I had no idea that Trump intended to pressure Ukraine to give up. I just thought he would withdraw and stop caring.

    1. Yes, this is exciting – more than you who were deceived by Trump’s turnaround last summer because UA started full asymmetric warfare.

But USA/Trump can do as they please even if it’s lousy.

It’s up to Europe to deliver consequences and stand on the UA side, which we are large and strong enough to do if there is political will.

It’s absolutely a critical situation and a Finnish deterrence peace is not far away.

Finland, the Baltics, and Poland are next in line, so maybe they will get to enjoy some freedom?

  8. If UA agrees to some peace plan in the end, there are several points there to create friction in UA.

After peace, Trump and GRU will increase the pressure and the hope is political chaos.

At the right moment, RU will try again and knows that Europe doesn’t dare to stop them, they just write angry letters.

    1. If it is signed, Russia will start arming itself along the border immediately, and when they hear that the Ukrainian army has been disarmed, they will invade and commit violence and destruction.

This is somewhat like Finland’s policy of deterrence, and we managed to avoid multiple invasions by the Soviet Union, but Russia is not the Soviet Union, Putin wants to regain what was lost when the Soviet Union fell. For us in Finland, it was mostly about limitations in foreign policy.

I don’t think Russia will treat Ukraine as well as they treated us, they talk about “brotherly people”, and if that brother according to Putin has betrayed them, he will probably be punished, so it will likely involve population transfers and bans on all Ukrainian culture, language, etc. in a Soviet-style manner.

  9. “One woman died and two residents were hospitalized following Russian drone attacks on Synelnykove district overnight in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. Three private houses were destroyed in the strikes that targeted Vasylivka and Pokrovska communities”

    1. Ah, so they have actually been given a deadline and then it also applies that they should accept the entire plan, no room for negotiations? Oh my.

  10. It was a long time ago, but here are some tips on Ukrainian music:

A lullaby that might not be so easy to fall asleep to.

(If anyone has wondered why I always insist on writing “Ukrainsk” for example, and not the correct “ukrainsk,” it is fully intentional and not out of ignorance, as I use an initial capital letter, a form of tribute according to my own personal and local language rules. 😄)

  11. Darth Putin: “Who’s going to buy US weapons in the future when it’s clear Donald & @GOP will cut you off if your invader bribes them as part of a “peace plan”. Art of the deal.”

  12. Peter Den Större

Aren’t we about to drive into the ditch now?

When Trump threatened to withdraw from NATO, insults rained down and Europe’s downfall awaited. But wasn’t the whole maneuver actually meant to make Europe’s leaders put on their boots and stand up?

Now Washington presents a peace proposal for Ukraine that is obviously unfair, and once again the cries rise to the sky.

But Trump’s unreasonable plan is of course not aimed at either Ukraine or Russia, but it is directly targeting Europe’s sluggish leaders.

That’s where our big threat lies.

    1. Sorry, I cannot in any way agree with your reasoning, but I think it’s good that you convey how you see it.

So, the USA and Trump are completely right in other words, and everything is Europe’s fault?
Perhaps it was even foolish for the USA to support Ukraine from the beginning under Biden?

Maybe it was also foolish of Japan to attack Pearl Harbor, or rather foolish of the USA to allow themselves to be provoked and enter World War II, because if they had done the right thing, they would have stayed out of it?

One can hold two thoughts in their head at the same time and criticize both the USA and Europe.
The fact that Europe is slow and cowardly is surely no excuse at all for the way the USA behaves?

Do you honestly think that the USA is completely right now under Trump and that the peace agreement should be interpreted as a challenge to Europe to do more and that it is also the best the USA can do?

Do you think it sounds like a good plan if one wants to help Ukraine?

The USA is not at risk of being dragged into a war with Russia and could easily double its military aid and help Ukraine defeat Russia without significantly affecting their military capability.

Instead, they choose to cut off support and secretly develop a peace plan with Russia that amounts to a capitulation from Ukraine’s side, but that’s nothing to worry about. It’s Europe that is the threat to Ukraine?

Yes, Europe certainly needs to do much more, but the USA should at least have been able to continue their support.

If one thinks it’s completely right for the USA to stay out, one can consider why should Britain care, or Spain, Portugal, France, Belgium, Germany, and others.

They are far from threatened by Russia and could just like the USA say that Ukraine’s closest neighbors should solve that, as they will be the next target.

Europe’s defense is significantly weaker than that of the USA (although they have themselves to blame for relying on help from the USA, but it takes time to rebuild it). Additionally, Europe is a bit closer to actively being drawn into the war. No one threatens the USA.

CHINA says several of you. The USA must be prepared to fight against China!

Yes, of course, but wouldn’t it have been much better to quickly help Ukraine defeat Russia and then demand that Europe also pitch in in case things get serious with China. Ukraine would surely have stepped up if nothing else.

Now the USA is making enemies with Europe and will not have many allies if needed.

The only positive thing is of course that Europe is slowly but surely realizing that the USA is not a friend and maybe they will find the strength to step forward. But that’s precisely because of how the USA is behaving.

I believe it would have been much better if the USA were still our friend and could be trusted.

    2. Don’t forget Bush’s “Who is not with us is against us”. That also applies here. If Trump also unilaterally initiates bilateral relations with Russia and starts importing raw materials, etc., a Europe that supports Ukraine will face a significant uphill battle.

    3. Surely Europe has ridden on the US military power after the Second World War, but I believe that was the US’s intention during the Cold War. In this way, Europe kept calm, and there was less risk of renewed conflicts in this part of the world, where they normally tend to be at odds with each other from time to time.

Now, or actually after the end of the Cold War, the need for the US to control Europe has decreased, and with the rise of China, the focus is shifting towards that side of the world. It has been suggested by more balanced American presidents that Europe should arm itself to defend its own continent, and now Europe is more than a bit slow to react, but it’s not something you can build up overnight.

What Trump is doing is probably something other than just forcing Europe to arm itself. It’s about abandoning democratic Europe and letting Russia take over what Putin considers to be his. It’s like two mafia bosses dividing up a city.

Trump thinks Europe is ungrateful. Sure, we are grateful for the help during the Second World War, and the help with the reconstruction afterwards, but they didn’t just help out of charity, they also took control, not that they colonized us, but we were in debt of gratitude, and we had the US army holding back the Soviet Union. The US acted as the world’s police force and ensured that trade, shipping, etc., could take place safely. At the same time, they micromanaged if we were at risk of doing something that wasn’t in their interest. For example, from Finland, the CIA stopped the production of submarines that Rauma Repola was building for the Soviet Union, they were better than the ones the US had, simply put. Mir 1, was the one that, among other things, discovered the Titanic.

Trump also wants to exert control, but not with carrots, or mutual benefit, but with threats and punishment. He is completely open about the fact that he and the US can do whatever they want, and there is no one who can do anything other than protest. Trump and Putin have in common that they consider themselves infallible, and that foreign policy is a zero-sum game. He should benefit from a deal, not the other party to the agreement.

Trump admires other dictators, he admires their power over the people, and strives for the same in the USA, the Ukraine issue takes time away from his main project, the American dictatorship.

One thing that can really shake up Trump’s world is Venezuela, with Russia and China on its side, it also shifts Trump’s focus away from Europe even further, he wants to get rid of that problem as soon as possible.

  13. Off-Topic, USA

A couple of signs of where the USA might be heading:

“New guidelines – swastika no longer a hate symbol

The US Coast Guard, which is subordinate to the Department of Homeland Security, will no longer consider the swastika a hate symbol. This is shown in a report reviewed by the Washington Post.

Instead, the swastika will be considered “potentially polarizing.” Other symbols such as nooses and the Confederate flag will also be downgraded in terms of how severe they are classified.

The decision is part of the agency’s efforts to adjust its policies following the guidelines of the Trump administration. …”
    https://omni.se/nya-riktlinjer-swastikan-inte-langre-en-hatsymbol/a/aJ1JMM

“France investigates Grok for Holocaust denial

French prosecutors are now investigating Grok, Elon Musk’s AI chatbot on X, after it spread claims denying the Holocaust, writes The Guardian. The comment has been added to an ongoing investigation into the platform.

In a now deleted post by a convicted French Holocaust denier, Grok claimed, among other things, that the gas chambers in Auschwitz-Birkenau were intended for “disinfection.” The post remained online for three days and had over a million views, according to French media.”

    1. Peter Den Större

Sometimes Omni is unfortunately like a mix of ETC and Kamratposten. I can’t evaluate the text but note that the articles are taken from Washington Post, BBC, and The Guardian – left-leaning media with a strong hatred for Trump.

      1. You mean that thing with the swastika would be a pure lie and that Grok didn’t write what they claim?
        FAKE NEWS simply! OK.

You can dislike Trump without being left-wing. You also don’t need to automatically love and defend him just because you are right-wing.

  14. The present is starting more and more to resemble the 30s, back then we had Hitler, Stalin, Hirohito, and Mussolini, now we have Trump, Putin, Xi, Orban+Fico

Well, Trump can’t really be compared to Hitler, a narcissist for sure, but not anywhere near the same level of evil. Putin, on the other hand, is more cunning than Stalin, but not quite the same level of cruelty, yet.

It’s pretty easy to see who has agreed on that peace treaty.

-Trump is driven by money and glory. So, 50 billion of the reconstruction funds would go to the USA, probably to companies owned by the Trump clan. This is a bit like the invasion of Iraq, except they let Russia take care of the destruction.

-Of course, Trump set a short deadline to get the Nobel Prize next year, and if he doesn’t get it, the Norwegians can probably expect an aircraft carrier in the Oslo Fjord.

-Putin will get his demands through as long as Trump gets the money and the glory.

They don’t want to talk to Ukraine and Europe, it just gets complicated.

No more complicated than that. Ukraine and Europe are now the scapegoat and warmonger for not agreeing to this brilliant proposal.

You were searching for some answers? – here you have it. From the US security council just now:

Ukraine has officially received from the American side a draft plan. We outline the fundamental principles that matter to our people. We agree to work on the plan’s provisions in a way that would bring about a just end to the war.

In this context, allow me to make several critical points.
1-First, while Ukraine stands ready to engage in meaningful negotiations to end this war — including at the leaders’ level — our red lines are clear and unwavering. There will never be any recognition, formal or otherwise, of Ukrainian territory temporarily occupied by the Russian Federation as Russian. Our land is not for sale.

Ukraine will not accept any limits on its right to self-defense or on the size and capabilities of our Armed Forces. Nor will we tolerate any infringement on our sovereignty, including our sovereign right to choose the alliances we want to join. Any genuine peace process must respect a fundamental principle: nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine, and nothing about Europe without Europe.

And let me be equally clear: we will not reward the genocidal intent that underpins Russian aggression by undermining our identity, including our language.

2- Second, support for Ukraine is indispensable. Peace requires strengthened security and sustained financial assistance to Ukraine. Reinforcing Ukraine’s defense capabilities is not an escalation — it is the only path to compelling Russia to engage constructively in international peace efforts. In this regard, we express profound gratitude to all partners and allies. This support is an investment in the rules-based international order and global peace.

3- Third, the Kremlin regime will not stop unless it is stopped through unyielding and concerted pressure. There is only one realistic path to ending this war: Russia must be compelled to retreat — economically, politically, and militarily

The anti-corruption agency has previously been accused of being close to Russia.

  17. The USA’s peace plan for Ukraine seems quite far-reaching in meeting Russia halfway, says Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson at a press conference.

    – Ukraine must be involved in negotiating about Ukraine, and Europe must be involved in negotiating about European security, he says and continues:

    – It has been Russia’s unwillingness to negotiate that is the obvious problem.

He says that he has been in contact with his Nordic-Baltic colleagues on the matter during the morning and that they will continue to be in contact in the coming days.

  18. The pressure on Ukraine from the USA to agree to the new peace plan is very high. Ukrainian sources report this to the Financial Times.

They compare it to the twists and turns around the mineral agreement earlier this year when the USA pressured Ukraine to access their natural resources.

If Ukraine agrees to the new agreement, developed by the USA and Russia, it would have meant significant concessions and abandoning red lines that have been in place for a long time.

The Trump administration has told President Volodymyr Zelensky and his team that they want to see an “aggressive” timeline and that he is expected to sign before Thanksgiving, which is next Thursday.

  19. Valerii Zaluzhnyi:

“When we talk about victory, we are talking about the destruction of the Russian Empire. When we are talking about defeat, we are talking about the complete occupation of Ukraine and its collapse.

Everything in-between is merely prolonging the war.”

  20. “Major Chinese and Indian refineries are pausing Russian oil purchases ahead of the 21 November sanctions deadline on Lukoil and Rosneft. Nearly a dozen major buyers halted December orders”

    1. We have not yet seen the day when the current American regime actually imposes sanctions, or in any way helps Ukraine of its own free will or at its own expense.

      1. The US has probably always done what they have done to promote their own interests, but Trump is extreme in the way that he is so open about it, and that everything is so thoughtless.

  21. Expect a “Ukraine has now chosen to accept this agreement so we can’t do anything” from Europe, says a slightly disillusioned Johan No.1.

Let’s see how long UA can hold out here, but the pressure is enormous.

The best scenario is of course if UA flatly refuses, but then Europe needs to pronounce the words “we fully support Ukraine” very clearly.

    1. It will be interesting to see if the far left suddenly becomes friends with America (again, they were not often positive towards the USA before the Vietnam War).

      1. Ha, ha, yes, there is a risk of some discrepancy there! 😄

(A bit like when the SD party realized where public opinion was heading and had to take a stand on Ukraine’s side despite previously favoring Russia.)

      1. I hope that only the Swedish peace will stand alone there and be ashamed.

Out in Europe, I believe the risk is significantly greater that the proposal will receive support from all possible directions, both far right and far left.

  22. Alright – we haven’t come this far yet but IF Ukraine accepts say 20 of the points, some are there to create a betrayal debate.

Then Trump and GRU will increase the pressure until it implodes in the country.

After that, Russia will move forward positions and exactly how bad it will be for us, we do not know.

Europe must help Ukraine so that they can withstand.

    High risk for us now.

  23. Yes, there it is, the threat of withdrawn support (but I wonder what support?).

“Reports: USA threatens to withdraw support if Ukraine does not sign the agreement
The pressure on Ukraine from the USA to agree to the new peace plan is very intense, several media outlets report.

According to two government sources speaking to the Washington Post, the USA will withdraw support to the country if Ukraine does not sign by Thanksgiving, which is the 27th of November.

Ukrainian sources speaking to the Financial Times compare it to the events surrounding the mineral agreement earlier this year when the USA pressured Ukraine to gain access to their natural resources.

If Ukraine agrees to the new agreement, developed by the USA and Russia, it would have meant significant concessions and abandoning red lines that have been in place for a long time.

The Trump administration has told President Volodymyr Zelensky and his team that they want to see an “aggressive” timeline.”

    1. It’s probably just as I guessed it would be. The support to be withdrawn is likely, among other things, intelligence, which they need for targeting, maybe they will be prohibited from Patriot, Himars ATACMS, etc. Maybe they will stop delivering spare parts for F16, etc.

The USA will withdraw all potential support anyway, if Ukraine surrenders no support is needed, if they do not surrender, the support will be withdrawn anyway.

    1. Yes, risk of a Russia-friendly takeover.

The population will be furious with Zelenskyy if he agrees to it and of course, some secretly Russia-controlled rival candidate will take full advantage.

Other candidates will likely be threatened or even killed.

Furthermore, this would prove that Europe is not trustworthy, which will also be exploited to the fullest.

    2. Yes, the Russian will gather troops at the border before the election and discreetly announce that the peace agreement is considered broken if a “Russophobic” candidate is elected.

  24. The capitulation agreement can be understood at best once again as a delaying tactic from Putin where he has convinced the USA to join him, but where there will be a sudden stop and then negotiations will follow, and then it will fizzle out.

  25. Lose what support? All subsequent agreements on the delivery of American weapons to Ukraine assume that the weapons are purchased (PURL) by the USA? Is it about refusing to deliver weapons that are funded?

    1. Stopping the sales won’t be a big setback, but if they stop everything that has something from the USA in it, it could probably hit quite hard. Then we don’t know how much intel they provide. It could actually be more than we know. And they have threatened to demand back what they have given.

      1. Yes, intelligence is a question. And we have Starlink which has no equivalent. But if we talk about non-military funding, I believe that Europe already by 2023/2024 far exceeded the American support, that is, already during Biden’s presidency.

        update 16:18:

        1. As I understand it, the USA was probably the larger weapons supplier while we instead provided the most support in the form of direct money. At least that’s how it was when I looked a long time ago, so it may have looked different in 2024.

      2. I assume it’s about intel, prohibition to use Patriot, ATACMS, Himars, and maybe other ammunition. Perhaps spare parts for F16, Abrams, etc.

Trump can be as nasty as he wants if he doesn’t get the respect he feels he deserves.

He can even sanction countries that support Ukraine, like, raise tariffs for Europe.

  26. Starting to wonder if the use of American ATACMs missiles in the attack on a Soviet…Russian air defense training facility the other day was really sanctioned by the USA?

    1. Or Ukraine knew which way the wind was blowing, saw something about the US threatening that they would have to return American weapons, maybe they thought it’s best if we burn what we have.

  27. “Zelensky: Ukraine stands at one of the most difficult crossroads in its history, between dignity and the risk of losing a key partner.

“Either 28 difficult points, or the harshest winter and growing threats,” he said, adding that “life without freedom, dignity, and justice” is no life at all.

He signaled that Ukraine has already given its answer, on May 20, 2019, when he swore to defend the nation’s sovereignty.

Zelensky warned of an intense week ahead, filled with political and informational pressure aimed at dividing the country. “We’re made of steel but even metal can break.”

    1. ⚡️ Zelenskyy says Europe must remember that Ukraine is the only shield standing between comfortable European life and Putin’s ambitions.

He warns Ukraine cannot face another February 24 moment of feeling alone, saying only heroic Ukrainians stopped the Russian army last time.

  28. Last Friday’s binge drinking ever? Next Friday it may be too late. Send the binge drinking into space so other civilizations can take over?

After the 27th, it may soon be Ruski Mir throughout Europe and then at best it will be drinking on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

    1. Darn Trump. Threatening even the Friday Fill!

I have started to look for all the old gold jewelry and thought about melting them down and then etching a disc with instructions on how to carry out a Friday Fill (including examples of dog videos).

Is there anyone here who might help build a rocket? Maybe we can reach some more intelligent civilization that feels that the Friday Fill is worth preserving and comes to save us from both the Russians and Trump?

  29. Off-Topic, In a Ding-Ding world.

“Federal investigators in the US continue to investigate the false claims that Venezuela helped ‘steal’ the 2020 presidential election from Donald Trump, reports The Guardian. Several individuals spreading the claims have been interviewed by district attorneys in Puerto Rico, according to the newspaper. In addition, a federal task force in Tampa investigating Venezuelan drug and eco-crimes has interviewed individuals spreading the conspiracy. The investigation could be used by Trump as an argument to continue or escalate military actions against Venezuela, the newspaper writes.”

  30. It seems like Zelenskyy is preparing the ground to say no based on the speech he has given. He has not clearly said no, maybe he is waiting for possible reactions but he is clear that he intends not to give up but to continue fighting.

  31. https://www.dn.se/direkt/ukraina/2025-11-21/expert-in-the-us-fatal-misconception/

In order for this to work, the President of the United States needs to impress his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, which in that case would be behind the plan, according to widespread criticism in the world, so one-sidedly favors Russia.

If the initiative faces too strong opposition, Trump may let party colleagues in Congress stop it.

Stop rationalizing and trying to smooth over what 🌮 is up to. Has he ever shown anything that can indicate business acumen? His recipe for success is to be born rich, swindle people, and to get himself so deep in trouble that he becomes popular to launder money through and end up so deep in the pockets of oligarchs that he is forever indebted to them.

    Ukraine’s military successes

All successful attacks on Russia’s oil industry day after day, week after week, which have now led to Russia losing large amounts of Western hard currency, have sometimes made us forget about Ukraine’s military successes. The fact that the Ukrainian military is slowly but surely retreating while Russia is getting tens of thousands of soldiers knocked out – killed or seriously wounded – has led many to believe that Ukraine is losing the war. However, I see no signs of this!

First of all, Moscow’s grotesque losses in killed and wounded soldiers make Russia’s military weaker and Russian society more hollow. Many of Russia’s problems have now also reached Western mass media in general, and the reports are becoming more numerous and more painful for Putin.

Hard facts tell us that the Putin gang cannot recruit and train enough soldiers, cannot keep industrial production up, cannot produce enough oil and other petroleum products, and cannot curb Russia’s rampant crime. Just the fact that the number of illegal “arms factories” has tripled in six years, according to the FSB, shows a society in crisis! Smuggling weapons from Ukraine or other countries does not seem to be a big problem. But the Russian Customs Authority FTS is full of former Chekists who have moved on to the SVR and FSB and who now see opportunities to earn large amounts of side income in their new positions.

Corruption really took off and then took hold under chief Andrei Yuryevich Belianinov, who worked for 20 years in the Cheka’s foreign espionage (both KGB and SVR), including in East Germany, at the same time as a certain Vladimir Putin. After his spy years, he worked, among other places, at Novikombank and Rosoboronexport. After his years as head of customs from 2006 to 2016, the FSB raided Belianinov’s dacha (1,565 sqm) located within walking distance of the SVR headquarters. The house was packed with valuables and contacts. Antique furniture and numerous valuable paintings filled the house. A bureau with three drawers was stuffed with banknotes – one drawer was full of US dollars (over $400,000), one with euros (over €300,000), and one with high-denomination ruble notes (over 10 million ₽)! The reason the FSB paid attention to the house with all its valuables was that Belianinov was subjected to two extensive burglaries in a short period of time, despite the house being located in an area monitored by the SVR.

Russian military crisis Amidst all the reports of burning oil facilities, we see more and more successful Ukrainian military attacks that obliterate Russian soldiers and Russian hardware to atoms. More and more often, we see more attacks using Ukrainian fighter jets and various homemade missiles. Russia cannot do without hardware from North Korea, China, and Iran, while also needing soldiers from North Korea, Cuba, and other countries.

Ukraine’s Neptune cruise missiles and Flamingo missiles are being used more and more frequently, but this fall they have also been complemented by Storm Shadow missiles and HIMARS. The fact that Ukraine now has a larger and more diversified toolbox makes it significantly more difficult for Russia’s military to protect both its own units and especially the many facilities of the Russian oil industry. The dark gray plumes that are signs of successful Ukrainian attacks are seen by hundreds of thousands of Russians who, of course, are also affected both psychologically and practically by all the long fuel queues and higher gasoline prices. One might dare to quote an American president with “Burn, baby burn!”.

In the past week, a drone base in Crimea, a missile installation in Donetsk, and a Russian command center have been attacked, among other targets. The port of Novorossiysk also suffered, as did a number of air defense installations in the form of S-300 and S-400 systems, and radar installations have also been targeted. In addition, a drone manufacturing plant in Donetsk went up in flames.

As of writing, 2-3 Ukrainian attacks on the Russian oil industry are taking place each day. In addition to this, an unknown number of airborne attacks on military targets inside Russia are happening, perhaps one attack per day. Unfortunately, I do not have figures on how many dozen attacks are taking place inside Ukraine from the Ukrainian side, but there are enough for me not to be able to keep track of them all.

Civil crisis for Moscow Russian factories, including the country’s defense industry, are finding it increasingly difficult to produce the products they have planned. Several important factors are at play here, with the two main ones likely being a lack of labor and inputs, machine tools, and digital components. The Kremlin is forced to import large amounts of labor from Africa and Latin America, among other places, which is hardly something that can be hidden from the Russian population, who have more and more rumors to share with each other. Despite the import of labor, many manufacturing companies still struggle to get their operations running smoothly.

Rampant crime Even though the grotesque “shootouts” of the 1990s between criminal gangs (sometimes consisting of police officers and officials from the FSB) are unlikely to return to the extent they were before, one should not conclude that crime has decreased! Instead, much of the crime has changed its character, and more and more people want to share in the profits of crime. Corruption affects larger and larger parts of Russian society, and one can repeatedly see many officers from the Russian military, MVD, and FSB having to sneak in because they have received large bundles of banknotes. No sector in Russia is free from the culture of bribery!

Increased dissatisfaction! Of course, no one should harbor any fantasies that this increased dissatisfaction will lead to a coup against Putin or in any other way overturn Russia. On the other hand, we have seen before how the Soviet Union, Eastern Europe, Syria, and several other Arab countries suddenly and with little warning lost their old regimes. What sets today’s Russia apart from ten years ago is that the police crackdown is very harsh, and long prison sentences are handed out. So despite many young people dying in Ukraine, no Russian mothers will take to the streets with protest signs.

  33. >>🔥 The occupants in Crimea are once again in trouble – GUR’s “Primary” burned down a Ka-27 helicopter and expensive air defense systems

The occupants in Crimea have once again found themselves in a predicament – the special forces unit “Primary” from the Intelligence Service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, GUR, has once again inflicted serious losses on the Russian occupation army.

As a result of the operation on the temporarily occupied peninsula, the following enemy targets have been successfully hit:

    – multifunctional helicopter Ka-27;
    – airport radar station “Lira-A10”;
    – radar station 55Ж6У “Nebo-U”;
    – dome-structured radar “Nebo-SV”;
    – radar P-18 “Terek”.

Precise hits on expensive Russian targets and a fantastic evasion maneuver from a missile from the enemy complex “Pantsir-S1” — in an exclusive video.

    Glory to Ukraine!<<

    1. Here in Finland, alcohol is so expensive nowadays, so people can’t afford as many binges per year anymore. But maybe that’s a good thing, because the attitude towards alcohol here is, or at least used to be, quite unhealthy.

    1. Impressive job by the Russians in that case. They may be incompetent in many ways, but when it comes to infiltration, they seem to be masters, they couldn’t get a better puppet than Trump.

If they didn’t resort to medieval conquest wars time after time, they would control the world without us knowing about it.

  34. Blue 🇪🇺 team 👍

European leaders said in a joint statement that the current front line should be “the starting point for any understanding and that the Ukrainian armed forces remain capable of effectively defending Ukraine’s sovereignty.

The statement .. also said that while they welcomed U.S. efforts to end the war, “any agreement affecting European states, the European Union, or NATO requires the approval of European partners or a consensus among the allies.

    https://kyivindependent.com/european-leaders-push-back-on-surprise-ukraine-peace-deal-affirm-support-for-kyiv/

  35. EU did not hold back at all in the statement above as posted by 205.

Zelensky is clear in his speech – we will lose the US as an ally if we do not agree to this, it’s a lose-lose situation.

EU – YOU HAVE US F@CK USA, F@CK THEM ALL – DUKE NUKEM.

We haven’t heard that yet but we need to hear it because Ukraine needs to hear it, not just behind closed doors but also the citizens who ultimately will do the heavy lifting.

We are probably at the end of the road for the EU when it comes to being passive and applauding what is seen as a balanced and mature strategy that is for winners.

I would probably ask Zelensky what he believes they need and then deliver on that in statements and actions. Who knows better than Zelensky what they need?

  36. Once again – GRU, which is the one behind the hot spots in the agreement, has designed them to create the greatest possible debate of betrayal in Ukraine.

And then new elections within 100 days.

All to ensure that the country is immediately plunged into chaos, so the agreement is a war strategy, not a peace agreement.

I want to claim that everything depends on us now, what we do and don’t do.

A bit sad that so many were fooled by Trump this summer, but pleased that one did not fall for it.

  37. Heard our Supreme Commander being interviewed on the news. He is asked if Ukraine could trust American security guarantees as they are currently being discussed?

Answer: Yes, I have to assume that they would have to. A bit hesitant. It is entirely up to the Ukrainian government to make that assessment, in what form they choose to accept…

Unclear what he means in my opinion. We know the value of such guarantees. Ukraine has already received such security guarantees from both the USA and Russia. (In connection with the surrender of Soviet nuclear weapons.) Such guarantees are worth absolutely nothing.

Then the fact that Ukraine should be forced to limit its defense forces is completely absurd. Why not Russia as well in that case. Although almost everyone can understand what such a limitation for Russia would be worth.

This is clearly a commissioned product from Russia. It’s hard to escape certain thoughts about Trump’s motives.
