  1. AFU: “In total, 166 combat clashes were recorded for yesterday.
The enemy caused 78 aviation strikes at the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements, dropped 141 controlled bombs. In addition, he carried out more than 5,400 shells, 103 of them were from jet fire systems, and deployed 3058 kamikaze drones to impress.”
  2. A slightly lower number of attacks in Kursk in recent days. Continued intensity in Pokrovsk and Novopavlivka, while the attacks in Toretsk seem to have subsided lately.

Trump and family reap the benefits of their travels
“When Donald Trump visits the Gulf states this week, he is seeking investments from oil-rich Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates. His family business and close associates have already been doing business at a furious pace in the region, writes WSJ.
The embrace of the sitting president is evident in the region’s new Trump skyscrapers, Trump golf course, and a luxury jet from Qatar’s government that sources say will be used first by the administration, and then privately by Trump’s foundation. Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner’s venture capital fund has received $3.5 billion in investments from the countries, which have also dug deep into their pockets to sponsor Elon Musk’s AI project.”

Analysis: Trump celebrates white flag as if it were a victory

Strategist: “100 percent a retreat from the USA”
“Chinese leaders, influencers, and state media in Beijing are now celebrating the 90-day tariff truce between the USA and China as a victory, CNBC reports.

In the USA, the agreement has been praised on Wall Street. But Scott Kennedy, China and economy expert at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, argues that the Trump administration had no choice but to ease its demands to avoid risking significant harm to the American economy.

    – This is 100 percent a retreat from the USA, not a Chinese capitulation, says Kennedy to Reuters.”

Experts on the deal with China: USA chickened out
“Donald Trump declared victory after the USA and China cut their tariffs against each other – but experts side with China: It wasn’t Beijing that chickened out, writes the Financial Times.

    – The USA blinked first, says Natixis’ Asia-Pacific chief Alicia García-Herrero to the newspaper.

Analysis firm Trivium China’s co-founder Trey McArver is on the same track, according to Bloomberg.

    – This is without a doubt the best outcome China could have hoped for – the USA backed down, he tells the news agency.”

Trump on white South Africans: “A genocide is taking place”
“About 50 white South Africans from the minority Afrikaner group landed in the USA on Monday, after Donald Trump granted them refugee status.

On Monday, Trump was asked by reporters in the White House why white South Africans are prioritized when there is war and starvation in other parts of the continent.

    – It’s a genocide that’s taking place, the president responds without providing any evidence.”

South Africa: There is no oppression of whites
“The white South Africans from the minority Afrikaner group who have been granted refugee status in the USA have not been subjected to any form of discrimination in their home country. This is according to South Africa’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as reported by AFP.

    – They cannot present any evidence of persecution because there is no persecution taking place, says Foreign Minister Ronald Lamola.”

    1. “Analysis: Trump’s Qatar gift raises questions about corruption

Donald Trump wants to accept the ”flying palace”, worth 400 million dollars, offered as a gift by the Qatari royal family. This is the latest example of the increasingly ”unbounded atmosphere” in Washington during ”Trump 2.0”, writes Charlie Savage in an analysis for the New York Times.

He describes it as remarkable that the president and those close to him ”unabashedly exploit his position to gain personal advantages”.

The Washington Post’s Aaron Blake writes in an analysis that the gift not only raises significant concerns about security, but also about corruption.

”Here we have a president accepting a historically and unusually expensive gift from a foreign government with extensive interests in his administration’s actions”, writes Blake.”

    2. Westley Richard

South Africa has started to do what Mugabe did in Zimbabwe and take over agriculture and land without providing any compensation, especially to the Afrikaners who own the land.
There is no organized genocide taking place even though murders of white landowners occur.
However, there is a lot of incitement against the Afrikaner ethnic group, much more than the corrupt government in South Africa admits.
For example, Malema, who leads the ruling party ANC’s youth league, has made the old struggle song “Ayasab’ amagwala” his own signature and sung it at public meetings repeatedly. The chorus of the song goes “Dubula ibhunu”, which means “shoot the Boer”. Boer is the old name for Afrikaners, who make up just over half of South Africa’s approximately five million white population.

      1. Yes, the percentage of white people is around 7% in South Africa but the percentage of murdered white people is around 2% (so if there is a genocide, it is against black people).

There are examples of land seizures, but in those cases, it has been those who could prove that they owned the land from the beginning, and the state has bought the land at market price in those cases.

The law does allow for taking over without compensation, but there are a lot of reservations. It should be unused land, etc.

I cannot find anything at all about someone actually taking someone’s land without compensation and without there being a previous legitimate owner. If you have an example, please feel free to add a link.

Even here in Sweden, the state can forcibly redeem properties if it deems there are sufficient reasons.

The presence of conflicts and other directly inappropriate statements and behaviors from politically engaged individuals, especially young people, is not uncommon but very rarely does it actually mean that they go from words to actions.

        Trivia:
Ebba Grön made the tasteless song “shoot a cop” out of pure frustration, but as far as I know, no one followed their advice. On the contrary, where the police shoot a punk, has indeed occurred.

        1. Westley Richard

In South Africa, 27,000 murders are committed every year. Assuming that 2% of the victims are white, this means that 540 white people are murdered. The population is 57 million, with 7% being white, which is around 4 million.

In Sweden, there were 113 murders in 2024, with a population of approximately 10.5 million. It is difficult to find statistics on whether 9 or 10 million are white, but let’s say 10 million. 80% of all murders in Sweden are committed by individuals with at least one foreign-born parent. The same applies to the number of victims.

Therefore, the risk of being murdered as a white person in Sweden is approximately 2 per million, and in South Africa, it is around 135 per million.

Approximately 400 farms are attacked each year, with about 50 white farmers killed in these attacks. This accounts for 10% of the murdered white individuals, and the risk of being murdered is 4-5 times higher if you are a farmer compared to being an old man sitting in an office. How many Swedish farmers are murdered each year, it’s not 800 per million.

The risk of being murdered is quite significant, and one probably doesn’t feel supported by the authorities who are at the same time taking away their land. They call it “uncultivated land,” who decides this? Greedy civil servants and politicians.

          1. Yes, South Africa is a dangerous place.

It is one of the world’s most unequal countries with a wealthy elite (mostly white but not only) while many live in poverty. The country also has high unemployment, struggles to maintain law and order due to lack of proper police funding (which is then understood to be corrupt to a larger extent besides the low risk of getting caught).

High inequality, poverty, and a weak rule of law are the perfect breeding ground for high crime rates, gang crime, and murder.

Whites, who are about 7-8% of the population, own > 70% of all agricultural land, while blacks own about 4%. It’s difficult to find data, but I found a study from 2003. Back then, 61% of the victims in farm attacks were white and 33% black. Comparing it with ownership, it can’t be claimed that those attacks are specifically targeting whites but rather the farms themselves, although more of them happen to be owned by whites.

Many of the poorest in South Africa suffer from malnutrition. One might think that it would actually be good if unused land is handed over to someone who can make good use of it.

However, it’s not so simple according to their own laws to just take over land.
And as I said, I can’t find a single example of it happening.

In 2017, ~72% of agricultural land was owned by whites, in 2022 it was ~78%.
Recently, whites have thus increased their share.

            1. I do NOT believe that the number of white farmers has increased since 2017 – you should probably check that again.

Unfortunately, the South African government is involved in this issue, and one must be cautious with official figures, but it has never increased.

      2. The concept of genocide is often used very loosely. The definition of genocide is linked to the Holocaust and essentially assumes that a large part of an ethnic group has been murdered, like 60% or more.

      1. Yes, I think so, but then it’s still strange if they are given priority.
Certainly, the situation is difficult for many, but there are probably other parts of the world that have it worse.

  4. “Kristersson dismisses criticism: ‘Not about sexual orientation’

Ulf Kristersson (M) wants to review the Government Office’s security checks following the story about Tobias Thyberg, reports Aftonbladet. The Prime Minister rejects criticism that it would be about sexual orientation and homophobia.

    – It’s not about anything like that. It’s just important to ensure that security procedures work, that security discussions work, that all information that could be problematic is brought to the table.”

    1. Westley Richard

Kristersson has obviously known Thyberg well and knew that he was gay, it may even have been an advantage when he could show the world that he was not homophobic by choosing him. However, the problem remains that Kristersson and those who conducted the background check failed.

    2. If you want a job that requires passing the highest level of security clearance, you should not conceal anything during the security screening. By doing so, you only show that you are not suitable.

Those who think Thyberg has been treated unfairly tiptoe around this fact, making the discussion feel quite forced.

    3. If this was an old account (don’t know) maybe Thyberg didn’t think it was active?

      Maybe closed?

“someone” then saved the images when he was being mapped and now wanted to get rid of him?

  5. The work ahead of the summit is underway – Erdogan in talks with both sides

Considering that Turkish toilets are usually just a hole in the floor, I understand him. Has anyone tried one of those after a Friday night out?

      1. As a resident in Turkey, I can say that the A la Turka toilets are fortunately on their way out, even if you come across them here and there… 🙂

        1. But they have still managed to infest the whole of Montenegro with these toilets, even though Montenegro was never conquered by the Ottoman Empire. Or maybe the Russians have been there too 😱.

          1. Westley Richard

            Jodå!
The difference between Turks and Russians is that Turks bring toilets with them where they conquer, while Russians bring them back to the motherland.

  6. “NATO has deployed three E-3A Airborne Warning & Control System (AWACS) aircraft to Šiauliai Air Base, Lithuania, to support enhanced Vigilance Activities in the Baltic region.”

    1. I read somewhere that Switchblade is much harder to fly than quadcopters, which dominate among drones, so it may also be that it is simply seen less often because operators want something that is easier to handle.

  7. “Trump doesn’t drink the local coffee offered to him during his visit to Saudi Arabia: spiced Arabic coffee is a staple of Saudi hospitality.”

  8. “Kaunis Iron is allowed to expand its mining operations in Pajala. This is stated in a press release from the Land and Environment Court.

According to the court, the requirements set in the consideration rules of the Environmental Code, the environmental quality standards for water, and the so-called Natura 2000 provisions are met.

According to SVT News Norrbotten, the Gabna Sami village has objected that the truck transports between the Kaunisvaara and Svappavaara mines would disturb reindeer husbandry.”

    1. Westley Richard

Our children’s future vs 10 reindeer owners 1-0.
Shouldn’t the costs for reindeer husbandry be within SIDA? They seem to live on another planet.

  9. Young people in Russian-occupied Mariupol in Ukraine are being trained in “blog schools” with connections to the Russian state. Through them, they learn to produce pro-Russian content for Ukrainian citizens, reports CNN.

    – Look at what Russia is doing in Mariupol. They are building, they are not destroying […] This is Mariupol, our Russian city! says one of the blog school teachers in a Tiktok video.

  10. What do you think, will the USA step up and accept refugees?

“The Israeli army will enter Gaza ‘with full force’ in the coming days. This is stated by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu according to AFP.

“There will not be a situation where we stop the war. A temporary ceasefire may occur, but we are going all the way,” he writes in a statement.

Netanyahu also says that Israel is working to find countries willing to accept refugees from Gaza.”

    1. Ha, never would Trump let a Palestinian set foot in the USA, they are far too poor, also not white enough, heathens, and none of his cronies are from there.

      1. Jo, the line between defending oneself and it starting to resemble ethnic cleansing is about to be crossed.

On the other hand, Hamas has not yet returned everyone in the hostage…

  11. Trump will have to make sure to stay in power a little longer if he is to benefit from that agreement. Or wait, on second thought, he is of course making sure to have a hand in the companies that will be involved.

“FT: Trump’s Ukraine minerals deal expected to yield no output before 2035 Kyiv ratified Trump’s mining accord, but analysts warn it’ll take a decade before any returns due to major logistical obstacles.”

    1. Putin of course counts everyone as volunteers, so for him it’s just a number, if he wants 100,000, the militia will probably fetch the right number.

      1. So it is, of course. Probably everything is in that number, surely one or two unhappy guest workers that one simply wants to get rid of.

  12. “Punishment for the “500th” among Russian troops remains brutal. In the 15th MRB, deserters are buried up to their necks in a “tight pit.” In the 9th MRB, they’re locked in metal barrels without food or water for days, often leading to death. If they die, they’re declared missing in action.”

    1. There is probably a delay in selling off existing inventory that makes it look okay, just wait as some cartoon character said in my childhood

  13. The Security Service suspects that there may be a connection between the suspected spy diplomat in Stockholm and Tobias Thyberg’s sudden resignation as national security advisor, according to information from SVT News.

The diplomat is being held in custody on suspicion of espionage, a criminal classification that requires the suspicions to involve crimes linked to a foreign power.

According to SVT, it is evident from the prosecutor’s decision to detain that the suspected espionage crime occurred during the final phase of the process of finding a new security advisor.

  14. A little bit about South Africa, I believe the term is Afrikaners for the group Trump has pointed out as having asylum reasons?

Now, I have worked in Angola for 10 years and simply learned a bit over time.

Also, be careful with your words so you don’t mix up the groups; Afrikaners went into agriculture and English descendants were in charge of the financial aspects and owned a lot of the country’s assets – banks, properties, companies, infrastructure.

Now there is a law aimed at the business sector as well, so a mix of English-South Africans and Afrikaners, but today’s discussion will focus on the Afrikaner group because that’s where the debate is happening right now.

Indians are also included in the diversity initiative called BEE, so it’s only the country’s largest minority, who are ethnically white, that are being targeted.

    – the government can now take land from farmers without paying. Only if necessary, but the law is loosely written, and in practice, it’s clear what is meant, attempts to downplay this have an agenda.

Previously, land was expropriated by force but payment was made (presumably) at a fair price – then those who sold it emigrated and were able to start anew in another country. It’s not easy – you should get paid, get a visa to another country, get a passport, and move your money out of South Africa, but it has been working quietly for quite some time. Afrikaners were 2.7 million in 1990 and are 2.7 million today.

In 1989, the population was 40 million, and today it is 65 million. Indians were 880,000 and today are 1.7 million.

Afrikaners have not followed the curve at all, and there is no reliable statistics on how many have left.

In practice, the law is only applied to the Afrikaner community because the purpose is to distribute land to the country’s non-white population. So, the new law to take land without payment will only affect the minority group of Afrikaners.

“73% of farmland is owned by whites” is what has been making the rounds in the media to give legitimacy to the new law. Approximately 10% of South Africa’s land is agricultural, of 114 million hectares, farmers own 26 million hectares (grazing land + farmland). And it’s over 72% of this land that is owned by whites.

I believe the figure comes from the report below, and it has not clearly investigated everything, for example, the ethnic breakdown of all land in South Africa, but I only managed to read the first few pages…

It’s also not entirely clear if the figure is accurate or if it has been adjusted a bit – I don’t know, but the risk is probably high that falsehoods are spread when it serves a purpose.

It’s not difficult to see that the purpose is to seize functioning farmland from the elite in South Africa, and now they have finally legislated to make it easier and cheaper – presenting it as a good purpose doesn’t make it more fair, does it?

Previously, when you had to pay to take over a farm – do you think the poor without money could buy the farms?

-especially Malema is open about targeting Afrikaners and has a political platform that is not very pretty. Armed revolution to “nationalize” everything and aimed at the minority in the country. Or to speak plainly – stealing other people’s money and enriching oneself, Malema is now worth a few million dollars from a background of nothing when he fights for the poor in South Africa, who are becoming poorer and he richer.

-farm murders are quite numerous, often very brutal with elements of torture and rape before murder, poorly investigated by the police and incorrect statistics are provided (things circulating on social media down there are not included). They are an easy group to attack as they live isolated on a farm and are a family.

Farm murders have also been used as a tool to intimidate potential sellers who wanted to stay on their farms – a rich elite simply hires criminals to get a good price and a quick sale.

It’s harder to attack a rich English descendant living in a gated community with a private army and good contacts – money protects everywhere.

-Australia saw its chance to attract dissatisfied Afrikaners, and the South African government has accused them of racism.

-A group of Afrikaners has bought land and formed a community in Orania (I think that’s what it’s called) – also considered racism by the South African government. There are about 2,500 people living there in total, with their own barter economy and have turned previously arid plains into farmland through irrigation from the Orange River, and they make a good living from it. All land has been legally purchased, starting in 1991.

(has Sweden areas where groups of the same ethnicity have sought to live and are they racists in that case?)

So attempts by the minority group of Afrikaners to move either to their own community or to emigrate to create security are being thwarted by the government under the pretext of racism. I would guess they are underrepresented in higher education – today – and they have BEE against them (because it is explicitly against them 😀) – they simply have to create their own jobs, which they do in agriculture, for example, and now that has been legislated away.

The problem with statistics in South Africa is that it likes to divide into whites-blacks but doesn’t break it down further, so it’s not possible to use statistics to show how different subgroups are faring.

Yes – South Africa is extremely crime-ridden and often very violent, I have never accepted a job there for that reason.

They have had major problems with racism against immigrants from other African countries, which have been pure pogroms.

The government is massively corrupt, and the country is functioning poorly today in 2025.

The problem Afrikaners have is that they cannot leave because they are not financially strong, and it is politically charged to accept them. In South Africa, they are a strong minority and have politics and the legal system against them.

And since the divider is ethnicity, by definition, it is racism, right?

Other immigrants who have been targeted can go home in the worst case, they have passports from their home country (one would assume) but the Afrikaner group does not – they are stuck where they are.

Are they a group deserving of protection – absolutely, by all standard measures, they are a vulnerable group with asylum reasons.

Are they an attractive group to try to attract – they are experts in agriculture, and Australia of all places understood that early and has never regretted it, even if they are a bit sneaky about how many Afrikaners are in their statistics, possibly up to 2%.

Considering that Afrikaners are a minority and crime is extremely high in the country AND politics are against them – whose statements are being reported in Western media about this group, Afrikaners telling about their vulnerable situation or from the South African government/legal system that is explicitly against them?

Apartheid ended in 1990 – do you inherit sin?

The average age of the group is 45 years.

The English group all get British passports, and those who wanted to have left, and they were able to retain much of the financial value when they left. That was the deal Mandela made. Money also protects, which the English descendants have more of than the Afrikaners.

The Indians, who are probably the next largest group, are doing very well – 1.6 million.

Out of the 4.5 million “whites” in South Africa, Afrikaners are down to 2.7 million, in a country of 63 million.

At certain times, the good side shows its true face, the mockery of the Ukrainian refugees, that they were not real refugees and the women were prostitutes was one such instance, the silence around the Yazidis another, and this is definitely in the same category.

It would probably be easiest if the group emigrated to Australia or somewhere – I think the Australians gave up when it became too politically sensitive.

It probably needs the UN to address this at some point, and one can really wonder why the Netherlands hasn’t done as the UK and automatically given them passports, but they haven’t – 43,000 Afrikaners live there out of +4.5 million of foreign origin.

The USA as a country would surely benefit from taking in the whole group, or any country with large-scale agriculture and plenty of unused farmland – maybe Sweden?

In my professional life, I have almost always encountered Afrikaners, and they are always desperate to leave, so international jobs become a family move, and they never sleep and work constantly.

The central issue to consider in the above reasoning is equal treatment. Not thinking that the Afrikaner group has asylum reasons because they are white – that is racism. Just as it is hypocrisy not to think that Ukrainians have asylum reasons because they are not “real refugees”.

Then the question is how these 45 managed to seek asylum in the USA because that must be done at the “port of entry,” and Trump has closed the southern border to asylum applications 😀

I don’t know how the system works in the USA and if Trump can legally make such a decision within an executive order – it’s apparently about the “refugee plan.”

It’s pretty obvious that this is another item on Elon Musk’s list to support Trump, which he is now ticking off.

But that doesn’t make the group any less in need of protection, even though I can understand why it becomes a political weapon.

If you haven’t understood it yet – in South Africa, a new elite has under the pretext of good reasons stolen a lot of value, and the poor are still poor. Because there were boycotts during apartheid, the population has increased, and it’s a new world, so it’s difficult to compare, but one should not think that it is anything other than a land grab by a new elite that has seen its chance to enrich itself.

There were probably a few dollar millionaires in South Africa who were not white during apartheid, I guess, but not easy to find.

Out of the 6 billionaires, 5 are white, and one is a black South African.

In 2016, 45% of dollar millionaires were black South Africans. The number has not changed since then, but I can’t find out if the number of black South African millionaires has increased or decreased. However, the guess is that the number of dollar millionaires will increase significantly in the future.

The group of extremely poor South Africans seems to have increased marginally since 1990 and is now at 65%.

As I said, the statistics are difficult in South Africa, but I did find out that even 10% of Afrikaners live below the poverty line.

    1. Thank you for all the info, one knew that it was bad down there, with crime and corruption and stuff, but it’s almost Mugabe class apparently.
That’s how it goes when the oppressors hand over power to the oppressed. The structures built by the oppressors will be destroyed, and new ones will be built. And in the meantime, it will be a time of chaos and misery.

    2. Saw that there was a discussion above so this became my two cents 😀

Well now with this law we are not far from Zimbabwe’s ill-considered land distribution program that led to acute starvation and 90% unemployment.

In Zimbabwe, a small group has stayed behind and part of that group includes everyone who has money and can continue to navigate the country.

Not unlikely that we are heading towards the same in South Africa – the lion’s share of the Afrikaner group is leaving.

Of the six richest people living in Zimbabwe, three are still white for example.

    3. What I react to is that the USA seems to have stopped all refugees but welcomes Afrikaners and justifies it by saying that a genocide is taking place.
Would you call what is happening in South Africa a genocide?

      1. I believe that if the criterion is genocide, there wouldn’t be many with asylum reasons in the world 😀

No, it’s definitely not genocide but the group has asylum reasons.

Then Trump should just fulfill his promise to Musk of course and do it his way.

Now you brought it up with one point but the whole social media is in a state of dissolution over Trump favoring an already privileged group and lots of debaters dealing with direct lies right now.

Found a link below that was interesting and I think I’ve fact-checked it.

  15. Above – Thyberg’s account was therefore CLOSED.

Which means that someone saved the images when it happened in a mapping of Thyberg.

    Who?

        1. Westley Richard

The Swedish top diplomat who has been arrested on suspicion of espionage denies the charges and has reported the police after the operation where he was apprehended, reports Aftonbladet. The report concerns assault and misconduct. The diplomat does not share the Security Service’s view that it has been calm. “There we have a significantly different picture,” says his lawyer Anton Strand to SVT News. The lawyer does not want to comment on the information that there is a connection between the case and Tobias Thyberg’s resignation as national security advisor, but refers to a non-disclosure agreement.

The arrested individual has been ambassador in Pyongyang 2019-2021 and Kuala Lumpur 2021-2024. Considering that Thyberg was ambassador in Afghanistan, they have definitely met and been colleagues in some way. Embassies in different continents usually cooperate.

        2. Westley Richard

It becomes a bit special when it is our former ambassador in North Korea who is suspected of espionage.
Sweden is the principal for a number of countries in North Korea – the country has been the protecting power for the USA since 1995, and it has consulates representing, among others, Canada, Australia, and the Nordic countries.
It is unclear what is behind his leaking of the images. Is it personal or is it the Russians behind it? The Russians probably have no problem sacrificing a spy if it means questioning Sweden’s role as the protecting power for the USA.

      1. Putin has spun himself fast to the mast. There is only total victory as Hitler would have said. War is his child. My hope is a palace coup of some kind in Russia that sidelines Putin.

  16. I have now googled this source, and it is supposed to be a serious publication leaning towards the left, so not written with a hidden agenda even though it goes against South Africa’s official figures.

It claims with facts that South Africa has already redistributed 24% of “land owned by whites” and will reach the previously set goal of 30% by 2030.

Since 2% is redistributed each year anyway, and then the distribution had continued from whites to blacks as before for another five years.

So there were no direct reasons to push through the controversial law – other than presumably being able to grab more land.

Then there are 2600 farms that generate 97% of the incomes, and there is a completely different problem – those running the farms are competent and doing a good job. They also create almost all the jobs in the agricultural sector.

The problem is probably just like in Zimbabwe that it is these profit machines they are after, and they have refused to sell until today and can probably protect themselves. So now that it has been legislated, they can start seeking help from the military and police.

High risk of a Zimbabwe scenario if one were to guess.

Washington and its European allies are prepared to impose the most severe sanctions yet on Russia if it refuses to agree to a ceasefire with Ukraine, according to Keith Kellogg, the US President’s special envoy to Ukraine.

Speaking during an interview on Fox Business, Kellogg said the proposed sanctions—currently under review by the US Congress—could target key elements of Russia’s economy, including the Central Bank and the so-called “shadow fleet” used to export Russian oil outside formal channels.

According to Kellogg, over 70 US senators support the draft legislation, which is designed to tighten pressure on Moscow through a new wave of restrictions. A primary focus would be disrupting Russia’s oil exports, nearly 70% of which are transported via the Baltic Sea using vessels operating outside conventional tracking systems.

  18. Johan No.1:

Here is the source of why whites should own 78%. I wrote the wrong year, it should have been 2022.

Since Wandile is not employed by the state but works with a private interest organization for companies etc. active in agriculture in South Africa and is open to everyone regardless of skin color, I believe he should be attributed high credibility, both in terms of access to facts and impartiality between blacks and whites.

(However, he is certainly not impartial in matters that benefit or disadvantage agriculture in general and probably will not write articles about murdered farmers, for example.)

It is in this article where he “debunks” myths on both sides that the information is included.
    https://wandilesihlobo.com/2022/12/04/land-reform-in-south-africa-5-myths-about-farming-debunked/

Wandile Sihlobo is the Chief Economist of the Agricultural Business Chamber of South Africa (Agbiz) and the author of three books, “The Uncomfortable Truth About South Africa’s Agriculture (2025)“, “A Country of Two Agricultures: The Disparities, The Challenges, The Solutions (2023)“, and “Finding Common Ground: Land, Equity and Agriculture (2020)“.
