      So, if I understand correctly:
      Step 1) Freeze the front line and stop fighting.
      Step 2) Russia withdraws its military from Ukraine and provides Ukraine with security guarantees.

      Doesn’t sound like a plan that Putin will be jumping for joy over, and hasn’t Trump said that Ukraine should be armed to the teeth?

      The most interesting thing about “arming Ukraine to the teeth” would be if they could use the air force more. Drones and trenches are all well and good, but this war would have looked different if UA had had a really strong air force.

        Sounds good with the replenishment of F-16, maybe it will eventually make a difference, hoping they get the robots, etc. they need.

        Yes, that peace plan is unlikely to be approved. Freezing the fronts while Russia is supposed to withdraw? Then it might as well be that Ukraine gets back all its land. I think like you, Putin will not accept that unless it is backed up by such a powerful threat from Trump that he has no other choice. Trump seems to have megalomania, so you never know what he will threaten with.

          The Gripen is not ruled out! After the CDS meeting Syrskyi-Claesson, among other things, this came from UA’s Facebook: “They agreed to continue the dialogue on addressing the request from the Ukrainian Air Force, especially regarding the delivery of Swedish-made aircraft.”
          Can it be interpreted as the issue being reopened in hopes of a new policy from Mango and Co?

          The Bloomberg article is behind a paywall, and I’m stingy, but if I understand it correctly, there should be a ceasefire for Russia to be able to leave Ukraine without further losses. However, Zelensky was out now and said that there was no nailed-down plan from Trump. That doesn’t mean that Trump doesn’t have an idea of how he wants a peace settlement to proceed.

    Well done with this page! Those of you with IT skills, could you automate the inclusion of yesterday’s weather as well? That would be a great addition to the Russian loss reports.

      It should be possible to solve, perhaps it’s just a lack of time that’s causing the issue. It’s also important to find a weather API where historical data can be retrieved. It’s probably most common that one wants to present forecasts. Then, of course, one would prefer to have it on the same page as the loss report.
      We’ll see if anything comes of it!

      I wish I had collected the “loss data” myself so I had it in a database, then one could, for example, make comparisons with current weather to see if any correlations could be found.
