Ukraine daily update May 26, 2025

Everything is always relative – this is one of the most important pieces in the war in Ukraine and must never be forgotten.

It seems like the Russians have gotten organized after a rather shaky start, but if you give them endless time and chances, it was bound to happen sooner or later.

It’s clear that they have supplied the fronts with older equipment and are holding back new ones – which in itself signals that they have a strategic reserve that we roughly know what they can produce per year.

This shooting frenzy seems to be working surprisingly well, and now Ukraine has also tried the Turtle tank and motorcycle shooting – which is excellent even though we have mocked the Russians for it.

FAB is back, and their drone weapons are ready now, so defense is difficult – shooting swarms forward, drones log firing positions, FAB falls towards the targets, and FPV drones then suppress all movements.

This is exactly how Ukraine has been fighting since they attacked into Kursk minus the FAB bombs but with other indirect capabilities.

Probably RU and UA still have focal points where they have the upper hand, and on other fronts, they do not.

Putin has announced that they intend to take a buffer zone along the northern front, and it’s underway. They have also dropped FAB bombs over Vovchansk.

The night to Sunday was the war’s largest operation over Kiev, by the way, and the second operation in a short time.

While RU is holding back Ukraine with a larger prisoner exchange, a little more than half has been exchanged now.

And peace negotiations dangle in front of Trump and the European troika – which is only there to pacify us in the West.

It seems reasonable that RU is about to start offensive operations.

Saturday night, there was a flash on credible Twitter that 10 government planes had left Moscow for Samara and Kazan (thus highly unconfirmed so far and a Twitter rumor😀).

If we put the pieces together, it’s probably not a coup in Moscow but rather that RU intends to significantly increase the pressure in the strategic air war and on the ground.

Merz also promised Taurus if RU did not respect the ceasefire – have you heard anything from him about it?

It’s been a while since RU did not respect the ceasefire on May 12, almost exactly two weeks ago…

It’s still five to twelve here, but we don’t hear much – my constant hobbyhorse.

Trump has his reasons, and we have guessed everything, but European leaders are actually backing down in the face of Russian escalation right now.

Because we don’t hear strong words from Starmer, Macron, and Merz, who promised biblical consequences if Putin did not accept the ceasefire.

Putin has just made the largest bombing of Kiev in the war, and it’s quiet – are Starmer, Macron, and Merz starting to feel a bit difficult when Putin runs circles around them?

Didn’t they think they wouldn’t have to do anything, that threats would work?

Have they not learned a damn thing in three whole years?

It’s a fact that Ukraine has received a lot of equipment K4 2024 and K1-K2 2025, and according to all figures, they should have ammunition – there is no stop in the equipment pipeline at all now. We also don’t hear Ukraine loudly complaining about it as they usually do when the US and Europe are supposed to punish Ukraine for things going too well and for stopping the delivery of equipment.

According to Ukraine themselves, they have solved the personnel issue by reallocating +200,000 from the rear to the spearhead, and they should have solved mobilization as well.

Then they have opened up for non-Ukrainians in more brigades and made it easier to apply – the problem there is whether they are Russian spies or not, so I don’t know the lead time until one is investigated and can start killing Russians.

A hell of a lot of mine-clearing equipment, aircraft, amphibious combat equipment, new IFVs, new turrets for IFVs, decent tanks, and so on have been delivered.

Now it’s the end of May, and we’ve had weather for offensive operations since mid-April maybe?

We have several reasons why Ukraine has not started offensive operations –

1-Trump and Europe want a restrained Ukraine to not provoke Putin in this sensitive time because he is very close to signing a ceasefire and saving all the children. Ukraine’s violent fighting makes him scared, and he then retreats back into the shell he has just started to come out of and cautiously looks around because he trusts us.

2-RU has kept the initiative, and Ukraine must therefore act defensively because they cannot wrest the initiative from RU and are fully occupied with defending against the shooting swarms.

3-Ukraine is preparing for a violent offensive and has learned to keep quiet after the US leaked all their battle plans to Putin for three years.

4-Ukraine does not have the capability for an offensive – after three years of constant disappointments, the motivation in the defense forces is starting to wane, and to carry out a violent offensive, the defense forces must be prepared for quite a number of casualties and wounded, but the will to do so is not there.

Trump can never keep quiet, so early in the peace negotiations, he said, “Ukraine wants to continue to fight, and I will let them do that.”

We also know that Ukraine had a plan for 2024 to retake the entire country, but the US and Europe probably put a stop to it by ceasing to send equipment and likely also applying pressure.

Has Ukraine then completely changed its mind five months later?

Probably not if we know them at all after following their every move for three years.

However, we can reasonably assume that Ukraine has been kept passive in various ways since the turn of the year.

Then it remains that they are either preparing for a huge slap in the face and have operational security, or they have been caught that everything is always relative.

The Russian barbarian horde is simply too strong now, and where they could attack up at the northern front, they are not allowed to attack.

Of course, I assume a big bang because UA has prepared for AND wants to carry out, but if we don’t see any offensive at all during the summer, it’s hard to ignore that they don’t feel strong enough relative to the Russians.

Also count on the 11th AC from the bandworms taking up defensive positions at the northern front and closing that door quite soon.

Then Russian units in training will soon be moved to Belarus and up to the tin sheds at the border with Finland – probably this year’s conscripts and training units.

There will also be an exercise with a few companies of Chinese SOF in Belarus this summer.

And Pskov will probably be lively.

The US believes that RU, all else being equal, can continue at the current pace for another two years.

Regardless of what Putin says, he has two goals – to take all the terrain east of the Dnieper or to bring down Ukraine. He will not stop until this is achieved.

Sometimes you get pretty tired, and here we are again – Trump and European leaders have held back Ukraine since the turn of the year, and now RU is finally well prepared for their summer offensive.

Any advantage Ukraine had probably been worked away by RU in this relative calm they’ve had.

-RU apparently has better robots that are harder to shoot down.

-I guess China has provided LV protection for targets inside Russia, so they are better protected today than at the turn of the year. Probably Trump’s strong stance against China in early February made them change their minds.

-North Korea’s 11th AC is presumably on the move so that all units on the northern front become an offensive reserve.

-RU has developed drone weapons to catch up and become harder to disrupt with EW for Ukraine.

-RU has had time to establish new guidelines on how to conduct ground attacks.

-The mobilization has surprisingly gone well.

-The country of Russia has had much less pressure on it since the turn of the year, so Putin’s position is strengthened. It’s difficult to oppose Putin when 29 countries, including China, attended the parade on May 9. Putin looks strong, and Russia looks strong (Ukraine could have made them look weak, but Trump and Europe don’t want that).

-Putin has sized up Europe – we are not ready, we set up red lines that Putin stood on and then laughed as he ran circles around us, and we haven’t taken our threats seriously – as far as Putin is concerned, they were empty threats.

-Putin has enough control over Trump (he thinks).

To describe it in the simplest terms, Putin has managed to talk down the West.

But you might think of EU sanction packages immediately, the shadow fleet has +650 ships, and in this round, the EU is banning 200 of them, whereas in previous sanction packages, they had around 20-50, but there are still maybe 300 ships left that RU can replace these 200 with. The ships on the list take a different route, the EU doesn’t include the new ships on the sanctions list, and can’t do anything – 6 months go by, and then we play the same rope trick again.

However, the sanction package hits hard against China.

When is it documented enough for the UN – in Mariupol, there are now graves for 80,000 deceased persons. Maybe they can update their civilian death toll a bit?

By the way, China is considering cutting off the water supply to India.

  1. Good morning!
Russian losses in Ukraine on 2025-05-26:

    • 1000 KIA
    • 4 Tanks
    • 8 APVs
    • 51 Artillery systems
    • 1 MLRS
    • 2 Anti-Aircraft systems
    • 264 UAVs
    • 53 Cruise missiles
    • 92 Vehicles and Fuel tanks

    SLAVA UKRAINI!

    1. Thoughts: High vehicles are probably more vulnerable and are lost in connection with the gunfire and reflect high KWIA. Part of the artillery may be rear but also front because even though the assault groups are small, they require artillery for advancement and there is a high number of attacks that need support. That is, artillery combat in connection with firing.

    2. Something has happened – high intensity, lots of areas lost but lower losses.

Do you think you were right in your analysis MXT from a week ago

  2. AFU: “In total, over the past day, 180 fighting were recorded.”

According to the information, the zagarbniki inflicted one rocket and 112 aviation strikes, using 84 rockets and dropping 189 controlled aviation bombs. In addition, the Russians engaged 3005 kamikaze drones and carried out 4961 shelling at the positions of our troops and settlements.”

  3. “Trump warns of Russia’s downfall if Putin attempts to take over Ukraine. “I’ve always said that (Putin) wants all of Ukraine, not just a piece of it, and maybe that’s proving to be right, but if he does, it will lead to the downfall of Russia!” Trump wrote in his post on Truth Social on May 25.”

    1. “❗️Trump: “I’m not happy with what Putin is doing. He’s killing a lot of people and I don’t know what the hell happened to Putin. I’ve known him a long time … we’re in the middle of talking and he’s shooting rockets into Kyiv and other cities. I don’t like it at all. I’m surprised.”https://bsky.app/profile/militarynewsua.bsky.social/post/3lpzxzk4aes2l

    2. Of course, he can’t help but complain about Zelensky, and apparently he, like Biden, is just as guilty of the war as Putin.”Likewise, President Zelenskyy is doing his Country no favors by talking the way he does. Everything out of his mouth causes problems, I don’t like it, and it better stop. This is Zelenskyy’s, Putin’s, and Biden’s war, not “Trump’s”.”https://bsky.app/profile/kyivpost.com/post/3lq2ftqkb7c2w

      1. Yes, it hurts when buds burst, and to be betrayed by the one you love. He doesn’t want to believe it’s true, must be Biden’s and Zelensky’s fault. We can only hope he gets angry when he realizes he’s been exploited by Putler.

  4. “Swedish king Carl XVI Gustaf visited Latvia and inspected the Swedish mechanized 71st battalion, part of the Latvian NATO contingent. Among other things he watched as the recoilless gun bearing his name was fired, but declined to fire one himself. The gun has seen extensive use in Ukraine.”

Over the past day, the aviation, missile forces and artillery of the Defence Forces 🇺🇦 struck eight areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, one UAV control point and one enemy 🇷🇺 artillery system.

  6. Johan is right when it comes to gang criminality.
It has gone too far when politicians think it’s normal to hire gang members to resolve financial disputes.

“SD politician Erik Vessby in Vänersborg sought help from Hells Angels when a former business colleague tried to collect an alleged debt with the help of a criminal suburban gang. Three men from Hells Angels then attended a meeting on Vessby’s behalf but were beaten up, leading to a significant escalation in the gang conflict. This was reported by Expressen.

‘I don’t see anything particularly strange about this,’ says Vessby, who is the SD representative in the democracy and gender equality committee, the children and youth committee, and the building committee.”

    1. SEVEN parties are directly responsible for the mess that has now hit the fan, the same SEVEN parties now want us to vote for them to solve the problems they themselves have created. The eighth exacerbates it all by thinking they are rebels but are just stupid.

I will not cast my vote for any of these spineless, groveling crap politicians sitting in the Swedish parliament! Red-green mess or Tidölaget are the same crap that wants to remain with the ladle in the power pot, they can all go in one direction!

      1. Feeling a bit the same, there’s no party that one feels is worth one’s vote.
I wish that one could cast negative votes, there are some parties that one feels are worse than others but none that reach above the zero line.

It feels like politics has become a way to pursue a career for most.

The only ones who actually seem passionate about their issues are the extremists at the far ends of both sides, and those are definitely not the ones you want to have a say.

    2. If one is to be a control freak, it is not entirely uncommon to use criminals as politicians in order to control the citizens – no one has reinvented the wheel in Sweden.

We have a hell of a problem on our hands.

  7. “By the way, Merz promised Taurus that if Russia did not respect the ceasefire – have you heard anything from him about it?”
Yes! He promised to stop advertising what they are giving to Ukraine!

  8. Peter Den Större

Unusually gloomy start by No.1 but also fully reasonable given the situation on the ground – and in the air. Both sides are now expected to carry out some kind of offensive, but no one knows where, when, or with what. If the West really does not long for a Russian/Chinese future, it is now that they should deliver thunder that immediately makes a difference = combat aircraft.

    1. Yes, I’m thinking along those lines as well. Drones and Taurus/equivalents are all well and good, but I believe that if/when Ukraine gets control of the airspace, it will definitely tip the scales.

  9. 16th of October 2025, that’s when today’s Russia is awake…. got that from the coffee grounds this morning, though it was brewed coffee so maybe not 100% accurate.

  10. Westley Richard

China has launched the first twelve satellites in a new project that will enable advanced data processing directly in orbit. This is reported by the South China Morning Post, citing Chinese state media. The system is ultimately intended to consist of nearly 3,000 satellites and have a computing capacity that can rival the world’s most powerful supercomputers. Unlike today’s satellites, which send data down to Earth for analysis, this new network will be able to process the information directly in space, saving both time and resources. Additionally, it is advantageous that the system does not require large amounts of water for cooling, as ground-based data centers do, writes Futurism.

Interesting, as I have figures showing that just over 1/3 of the energy in a data center is used for operating the chips, 2/5 for cooling, and the rest for lighting, ventilation, backup, etc. MXT or someone else with better insight is welcome to correct the figures.

How low pressure affects cooling then requires a little brain exercise.

    1. Hm, vacuum poorly conducts heat, so a thermos works. The cooling probably has to happen through heat radiation from the outside of the satellite.

      1. According to Stefan-Boltzmann’s law, the radiation from a body in free space is proportional to the temperature raised to the fourth power, so it cools very quickly up there, as long as you can conduct the heat to the surface of the satellite.

  11. Good analysis by Anders Puck Nielsen on how Putin thinks. It’s about Russia’s role as a great power. And the country’s need for a sphere of influence. A result in Ukraine that only concerns the 21 percent of Ukraine’s territory is not enough for Putin. His fear is that Russia will only become a regional player. The expanded NATO with Finland, the Baltics, Sweden, and Poland, plus Ukraine’s approach to the West, diminishes his sphere of influence. It’s better for Putin to continue the war and nurture his great power dreams. Worth listening to.

    1. Wasn’t there an American president who called Russia a regional superpower? Putler, and even Trump, completely lack the ability to see the consequences of their actions. Putler does not understand that countries can ally themselves voluntarily, and that it can be beneficial for both countries. For Putler, there is never any talk of mutual agreements; alliances are built with threats and violence. Therefore, it is impossible to negotiate any long-term agreement with Russia. Violence is the only thing he understands, and this war has escalated to the point where the possibilities for a negotiated peace are exhausted. Whatever Trump and the Europeans say, it is on the battlefield that this will be decided. So it is just a waste of time and energy to discuss. The war is getting closer all the time, so it’s time to act. Putler’s regime can only be brought down by force; nothing else is respected in Russia.

      1. I agree, they seem to understand nothing other than military defeat.

Like the bully on the schoolyard who won’t stop until he gets beaten up.

  12. Such lines show very well how difficult it is to report genuine figures! Ukraine does not include everyone because they report visibly visualized figures!
“Over the past day, the aviation, missile forces and artillery of the Defence Forces 🇺🇦 struck eight areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, one UAV control point and one enemy 🇷🇺 artillery system.”

    1. When Finland starts mobilizing reserves, all of Europe should do the same – everyone should look at Finland.

Now we are not there, but according to me soon

    1. “The spokesman for the State Border Service of Ukraine Andriy Demchenko emphasizes that the Russians have become most active in the areas of the villages of Basivka and Zhuravka. He also confirms the movement of assault groups in the areas of Veselivka and Volodymyrivka.””They are trying to break through the border into our territory – but the Armed Forces of Ukraine are repelling and restraining the enemy.”

    2. That’s how it is and it will be very FAB, drones, hustle mixed with some mechanical failures on all fronts again now.

North Luhansk is starting to look hairy.

  13. I believe this will be the decisive summer.

    Win or lose for Putin.

But is he known for going all in or does he have some global escalation up his sleeve – I’m guessing the latter.

Furthermore, the UK is now investigating whether the arson attacks on Kier Starmer’s residences were of Russian influence – you might understand why politicians are so wary of RU.

    1. Don’t think he’s disappearing yet, but damn he’s not winning either.
But the West must step up and show determination, the Russian bastard has gained more hope since the Trump hell settled in the White House. Even though Trump has now, for the second time, expressed himself weakly negatively about the sweetheart in the bunker, it’s nothing to rely on.
Strangle the shadow fleet in the Baltic Sea, and speak to Putler in a language he understands. Where is the barking German when we need him?

    1. “Iran will not consider temporarily stopping uranium enrichment to secure a nuclear energy agreement with the USA. This is stated by a spokesperson for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs according to Reuters.
Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian tells state media that the country will survive even if there are no talks with the USA and more sanctions are imposed, according to Reuters.”
      https://omni.se/iran-om-att-stoppa-uranrikning-kommer-aldrig-acceptera/a/wg2q8A

    2. If he says it’s very good, it may be that they have given him something he wants. However, it’s not necessarily good for the USA. Maybe they bought Trump coins for a few hundred million.

  14. “Fidias Panayiotou, an internet personality from Cyprus, unexpectedly entered the EU Parliament in 2024 as an independent candidate after an online campaign, writes DN.

He became popular on YouTube through harmless videos, but soon after taking office as an EU parliamentarian, he began spreading a Russian narrative.

In February 2025, he released the video “How the USA forced Russia to invade Ukraine,” where the controversial economist Jeffrey Sachs claims that NATO and Western countries are behind Russia’s war in Ukraine. He also traveled to Moscow during Putin’s victory day.”
    https://omni.se/influerare-sprider-ryskt-narrativ-i-eu-parlementet/a/3M0Amd

  15. “It was shortly after the Russian annexation of the Crimean Peninsula that Sergei and Tatiana Voronkov decided to leave Russia, writes the BBC. The couple had long been critical of Vladimir Putin, and finally settled in a small village in the southeastern Zaporizhia region of Ukraine in 2019.

But just three years later, their peaceful existence changed when Russian forces entered the country. When a Russian convoy passed by their house, they decided to take action and contacted acquaintances with connections to the security service in Kyiv.”

  16. “Israel has attacked Gaza over 200 times in the last 48 hours, according to the Israeli military IDF, as reported by the Times of Israel.

Rescue workers in Gaza told AFP that at least 52 people have been killed on Monday, including 33 in a school used as a shelter.”

  17. Russia carried out the largest drone attack against Ukraine during the war’s over three years last night, according to the Ukrainian air defense for AFP. According to Ukraine, it involves 355 so-called Shahed drones and nine cruise missiles. Nightly explosions are said to have been heard around the country, including in the capital Kyiv and the major city of Kharkiv.

  18. “Donald Trump claiming that Vladimir Putin has ‘completely lost it’ could be due to emotional overload. This is stated by Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, according to Reuters. At the same time, the Russian administration thanks the US president for his help in initiating peace talks with Ukraine.

‘Of course, this is a very crucial moment, which is naturally associated with emotional overload for everyone and with emotional reactions,’ Peskov said at a press conference.”

    1. So apparently Putin is perceived internally, among the youth. Feared. The question is whether this is also an image that Putin wants to convey outward? Could it be that Putin is trying to provoke a reaction that does not materialize? And why? Does Putin want something to point to in order to justify X (X=escalation)?
The blog: “It’s still five to twelve here but we don’t hear much – my constant nagging.
Trump has his reasons and we have guessed at everything but Europe’s leaders are actually backing down in the face of Russian escalation right now.
Because you don’t hear harsh words from Starmer, Macron, and Merz who promised biblical consequences if Putin did not accept a ceasefire.
Putin has just carried out the largest bombing of Kiev in the war and it’s quiet – are Starmer, Macron, and Merz starting to feel a bit challenged when Putin runs circles around them?
Didn’t they think they wouldn’t have to do anything, that threats would work?
Haven’t they learned a damn thing in three whole years?“)

      1. It is probably the image they want to convey. That’s how it has been since the Middle Ages. Jump on some neighboring country that is being stubborn, rob, rape, and kill, “others as a warning”. Russian diplomacy in a nutshell.

        1. Westley Richard

I pondered a bit about the news that Putin’s helicopter was said to have been under heavy attack during his recent visit to Kursk. It felt like it was a made-up story to portray Putin as macho.

  19. The whole area east of Vovchansk – west of Kupiansk is starting to look a bit worrying.

The Donets River runs south from Vovchansk and then in a semicircle towards Kupiansk.

If we have 50,000 loose Russians running around, that’s an area they’re interested in…

    1. It’s not impossible that the Russians are trying something there. Ukraine should have had plenty of time to set up defense lines, so let’s hope they have done so.

  21. Just checked out some different blogs, including one blog, and they don’t have automatic language translation 😀

World’s best also on the IT side thus ✊✊

    1. There is still some fine tuning left. The translation sometimes refuses to obey orders, when posted in English it seems to want to translate it backwards so that Swedish ends up on English pages. 😂

    2. I guess it’s probably quite unique with automatic translation of comments in the way we do now. Google Translate-like solutions where it is translated “on the fly” exist in many variations, but then it is only translated in the browser for each visitor.

  22. Phew!

Now I have batched through over 300 posts and almost 13,000 comments (200 at a time).
Lucky it was done now and not in a year!

I have burned nearly 7 million tokens. Hopefully, I have interpreted their price list correctly so it doesn’t end in bankruptcy when the bill from Open AI arrives. 😱

There are probably some mistakes in some of the translations, but I boldly choose not to care about that!

An interesting but time-consuming project, I think I’ve been down every rabbit hole and dug before getting it to work. WPML is a pretty good language management plugin, but not if you want to handle things yourself via code. One problem has been that you can’t do certain things before WPML is done, but it can take anywhere from 1 second to never (if the site doesn’t get visitors). WordPress’s built-in scheduler is as stable as Trump’s tariffs, so I simply had to put together my own queue management that runs checks to ensure everything that needs to be in place is there before it can be translated.

It may not be completely perfect, but that’s mostly because Open AI doesn’t want to follow the instructions.
For example, it managed to translate 205 nice posts today! 😢
    Ended up copying it manually.
I’ll see if I can make some adjustments to get it to work.

Hopefully, we’ll at least get a couple of English-speaking visitors so it hasn’t been a complete waste! 😂

    1. Join the tribute choir and don’t forget to swish if MXT has miscalculated on any zero for the price per comment 😶

Not the way I thought I would go bankrupt on 🤣🤣

A Joseph Fritzl has apparently visited the site – the first one has arrived 👍

History is written – you won’t find this on the other blogs, I can promise you that.

  23. My constructive proposal from the EU!

The EU will not support, cooperate with, or legitimize any sanction relief from the USA towards Russia until Russia has declared an end to all forms of aggression, initiated disarmament, and signed a new international binding agreement on respect for borders and non-interference, with security guarantees similar to those once promised to Ukraine 😉

      1. Ukraine is allowed to target any objectives all over Russia with Western weapons.

Which automatically means that they are also allowed to do it with their homemade long-range weapons.

Russia took this so seriously that the entire leadership has moved to the war bunkers.

        1. 👍 Finally! The thick blue line became thin when it stretched far and wide to the east! Time for train wrecking in southeastern Russia, or why not all the way into North Korea? Has anyone donated submarines to Ukraine by the way?

    1. “Ukraine’s key allies no longer set any limits on how far into Russian territory the Ukrainian army can use the weapons provided to them. This is according to Germany’s Chancellor Friedrich Merz, as reported by AFP. Neither the Germans, the British, the French, nor the Americans have any such limits anymore, according to Merz.”
      https://omni.se/a/1MJ2je

Then Peskov comes and complains! 😂

“The fact that Ukraine’s most powerful allies have lifted the limit on how far into Russian territory their weapons can be used is ‘quite dangerous,’ says Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, according to news agencies. Such a decision would hinder efforts towards a political solution to the war, he adds, after Putin has repeatedly rejected proposals from the West for negotiations and a ceasefire.”

      1. Tjohoo, finally something concrete from the German.
Probably why they moved out of Moscow yesterday.
“90 degrees we’re almost there, Perkele! he was on fire, yeah” obscure pop cultural reference.

  24. Now DAMN.

And that’s also why the entire RU leadership has been flown to the bunkers, they found out the day before 🧐

    Game on RUSSIAN DEVILS ✊✊💥💥💥💥🪼

  25. “The moderate profile and former Minister of Defense Mikael Odenberg, who SvD describes as a lifelong friend of Israel, believes that Israel is committing war crimes and that Netanyahu should be brought to justice.
“Population displacement/ethnic cleansing and waging war by starving the civilian population is not what I expected from the Israel I have long admired. It is not in line with international law. It is a war crime,” he wrote, among other things.”

    1. “Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson (M) wants to increase pressure on Israel, among other things by pushing for sanctions within the EU against the country. He tells this to TT. – The Swedish cabinet secretary will summon the Israeli ambassador in Sweden, he says.”

    2. Westley Richard

Odenberg makes it easy for himself when he accuses Israel of war crimes. Easy to get caught up in the media’s Hamas hugging and overlook that they and their tunnels must go away, which is Israel’s primary goal. As long as Hamas does not agree to a controlled demolition of these tunnels, the release of hostages, and a handover of power for the establishment of a democracy, Israel has reasonable grounds to continue a war it did not start itself.

  26. It’s just a shame that they couldn’t intercept all the government planes when they flew to the Urals.

Maybe that’s where the western border went?

      1. That they knew about the decision, we know at least.

Then there’s something about Ukraine trying to drone Putin’s helicopter in Kursk.

  27. The Nordic leaders meet on Monday in Turku, Finland to discuss the region’s security policy and increased preparedness cooperation. They are joined by Germany’s new Chancellor Friedrich Merz. Åland, Greenland, and the Faroe Islands are also considered part of the Nordic community and are represented by their leaders.
The fact that the autonomous regions are now included on the guest list sends a certain signal about the region’s needs.
“A good decision and an important message,” says Denmark’s Mette Frederiksen ahead of the meeting.

  28. Israel rejects the latest US proposal for a ceasefire in Gaza, states a high-ranking Israeli official to the Times of Israel. “Hamas is making impossible demands that would result in the failure of military objectives and the hostages not being released,” the source says. The proposal, presented by US Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff, involves a 70-day ceasefire and the release of ten Israeli hostages.

  29. Sounds like they are desperate to make Trump coin take off.
Put in a few billion and when all the gullible people go crazy and sell their belongings to buy coins, it’s just a matter of selling off.

Trump media is making huge losses, I also don’t understand who is supposed to invest money there? Putin and Russian oligarchs?

“The Trump family’s media company Trump Media, which owns the app Truth Social, is planning to raise $3 billion in new capital. Six sources told the Financial Times. The money is reportedly intended to be used to invest in cryptocurrencies.”
    https://omni.se/a/PpJ1AX

    1. Surely a lot of Russian money, but also maybe Iranian, he was so euphoric about the recent discussions.
Now it’s probably time for Putler to chip in some pocket money again so Trump can “forget” about that killing over the weekend.

  30. Putin needs a war, a new and real war according to him and the Moscow state. All to mobilize the masses and temporarily improve the economy.

  31. Translated: “Germany plans to transfer its old PAC-2 Patriot missiles to Ukraine, which unlike PAC-3 are not as effective against ballistic missiles, – The Washington Post, citing an unnamed European diplomat.

The day before, German Defense Minister Pistorius said that Berlin would transfer Patriot missiles to Ukraine along with four IRIS-T air defense systems.”

  32. 📉👀 Trump’s criticism of Putin has caused the Russian stock market to collapse. Gazprom shares fell by 3.5%, — Forbes Ukraine.

❗️Sberbank (-1.5%) and VTB (-2.4%) were in the red zone against the background of information about the EU’s plans to disconnect another 20 Russian banks from SWIFT.

  33. “Den lettiska försvarsministern Sprūds meddelade att Lettland skickar ytterligare 1 500 stridsdronar till Ukraina. Detta är en del av ett bredare åtagande, där två lettiska företag planerar att leverera totalt 12 000 drönare under första halvåret 2025 inom ramen för den internationella Drone Coalition-initiativet.”

  34. Why has no one pointed out that the menu is terrible on mobile?
I have to be ashamed now when I discovered that one menu has white text on a white background.
    Horrible!
