    Since mid-May, the overall trend seems to be on the rise, but it varies quite a bit over time so it may not say much about the future.

    Since the end of the summer of 2024 and up to now, the number of conflicts has been at a significantly higher level than earlier during the war. Of course, it has fluctuated a bit since then, with a record of 292 on December 15, 2024, and a low point of only 85 on February 5, 2025.

    I am a little disappointed that there are not as many refineries and depots burning anymore, but I have to agree that it is probably a smarter strategy for Ukraine to target factories and facilities that are essential to the Russian war industry.

      Iran is on China’s side so in the bigger picture this benefits the USA.

        Yes, it does not leave much room for negotiation for the USA. From what I understand, it’s not that China owns all the rare earth mineral deposits, but they have the technology to extract them – the USA, for example, extracts some metals but sends them to China for processing. In the long run, this is something we in the EU must start considering if we are to begin extracting the deposits in Sweden and Norway to become more independent – we must also build up the technology for processing.

      A survivor has been found after the plane crash in Ahmedabad, India. That’s what the local police chief GS Malik tells the Indian news agency ANI.

      “The police found a survivor at site 11A.

      He has been taken to the hospital and is receiving care. We cannot yet say anything about the number of dead. The death toll may rise as the plane crashed in a residential area,” he says.

      The man claimed to be the survivor is Vishwash Kumar Ramesh, who himself tells about the accident to Hundustan Times.         There you can talk about luck, it was no small fireball, must have been almost fully fueled. 

        He has mentioned something about hearing a bang, could have been some issue with an engine that caused the compressor stage to stall and the engine lost thrust. If the pilot then managed to retract the flaps, there could be a problem if it stops accelerating.

    The cooperation was initiated in 2021 and currently includes Australia, the USA, and the United Kingdom. The purpose is to act as a counterforce to China in the region and to share submarine technology.

        So they will continue to harass our elected politicians, by following them, showing that they know where they live, harassing their neighbors and friends, standing in the way and shouting, filming and photographing them for provocative purposes, etc. All to provoke a reaction so that someone eventually loses patience.

            The security department of the EU Parliament has reviewed it and has clearly stated that it was the left-wing woman who launched the attack. I assume they are impartial, which is more doubtful when it comes to the parties involved or their lawyers representing them.

            I am against all forms of harassment. Now it is a fact that many of those who engage in this are left-wing. The Left Party has even had to start training for its members to combat the racism that is prevalent among their members. The Sweden Democrats also had that problem and still do to some extent, although it has improved significantly.
            The massive escalation that we are currently seeing is mainly among Palestine activists and their support groups on the left.

Those who have targeted the Minister for Foreign Affairs are Kurdish leftists who are supported by the ETC journalist who went to Turkey without being able to prove that he was working as a journalist. Those who targeted Jessica Stegrud outside the parliament are Palestinian groups that have a close cooperation with the Left Party.

                It is not good when fools on the right do the same, but it does not excuse the left for doing it, which they often and gladly emphasize as an excuse.

    War has been the mother of inventions.

    We see it in the development of drones in the war in Ukraine, not least on the Ukrainian side.

    The first jet engine to fly was developed by the German physicist Hans von Ohain in 1939. The jet engine then went on to revolutionize travel.

    Supporting innovation with tax funds is all well and good.

    Woman took care of wild leverets – convicted of hunting crime

    When the woman was out for a walk, she found two leverets next to a run-over hare which she assumed was the mother. After taking the leverets home, she was charged with hunting crime. Now the woman is fined because she appropriated wild animals on someone else’s property.

      She has no right to take game from someone else’s land or to have rabbits as pets.

      Admittedly a minor offense that makes one wonder if society should spend money investigating, such crimes should be punishable by a fine.

          I would estimate that a few hundred thousand leverets die each year, the hare population varies quite significantly and is influenced by weather, food availability, and the predator population. Hares give birth to up to 5 young, and 1-2 reach adulthood, the rest succumb to predators, weather, diseases, and food availability. That’s nature, and perhaps we have to accept it. If humans were to disrupt this, nature often strikes back; if there are too many of one species, diseases tend to spread to restore the balance.

           

          Then we have the legal aspect.

          Game belongs to the landowner (there are some exceptions), and it is not allowed to hunt game or lure game away from the landowner’s area. The legislation makes no distinction whether it’s a hare or, for example, a moose.

           

          Furthermore, you are not allowed to keep wild animals as pets without special permission, so there the woman is also breaking the law. The reason why permits for hare enclosures are not generally granted, or to my knowledge not at all, is that they must be extremely large for the hares to thrive.

           

          Now the law is written as it is, and it applies to everyone, including women with a big X. (replace X with whatever you find appropriate).

           

          Then one might ask why someone has taken the case all the way to court? Does someone want to set an example, or is the woman furious and has had a falling out with the landowner or someone else?

      The rules are incredibly rigid and do not take any circumstances into account.
      One reason why you are not allowed to take care of wild animals is to protect them, but in this type of case, it is obvious that it is not about wanting what is best for the animals involved.

      If we assume that it was the mother who was hit by a car, the person who found them would have called someone who would have come and shot them, or left them and they would have died, and the landowner would not have seen them at all. 

      Maybe not so smart of her to want to keep them, but I guess she had no idea about the rules and didn’t think about the difference between wild hares and tame rabbits.

    In the Pokrovsk sector, since the beginning of the day, the enemy has attacked in the areas of Myroliubivka, Andriivka, Lysivka, Malynivka, Myrne, Yelizavetivka, Promin, Udachne, Novosergiivka, Horikhove and in the directions of Oleksiivka, Poltavka and Muravka. Our defenders stopped 38 enemy assaults, and six more combat engagements are ongoing. The town of Kozatske came under air strikes.

Ukrainian troops destroyed one radar station, eight unmanned aerial vehicles, five vehicles, four motorcycles, a satellite communications terminal, as well as three enemy cannons and a mortar.
