      The question is whether Fico believes in religious forgiveness or if he is a charlatan. Slovakia is a strong society where religion has gained greater importance after the fall of communism, which Fico has taken advantage of in his campaigns where he has portrayed that he was raised in a strict Catholic home. This has not been able to be verified, however, it is verified that Fico stated he was an atheist when he applied for membership in the Communist Party in Czechoslovakia in 1980. 

      So, Fico is an old pro-Russian communist who jumped from one extreme to the other on the political horseshoe.

    Canada withdraws digital tax on American companies. This is to reach a trade agreement with the USA, several news media report.

    Canada’s Finance Minister François-Philippe Champagne stated in a release that Canada is lifting the digital service tax to achieve a “mutually beneficial trade agreement with the USA.”

    It is also stated that Trump and Canada’s Prime Minister Mark Carney “have agreed to resume negotiations with the aim of reaching a settlement by July 21, 2025.”

        Yes, that’s of course BUT it’s still damn stupid to sow doubt, there are more member countries and for example if your prophecy is fulfilled and the Russians test article 5 in connection with Zapad 2025, it would be sad if everyone just picked their navels and looked in another direction, because according to Trump, you can interpret it as you wish.

          I don’t think he will let the USA respond to article 5 if it doesn’t benefit his interests. So in the Baltics, I don’t think there will be any American boots on the ground, possibly they could extend to intelligence, maybe some air support.. 

          If Russia were to attack England, then maybe the USA would come to the rescue, or Hungary and Slovakia. The rest of Europe, I don’t think he cares that much about. The EU is a competitor, so in his world, it wouldn’t be a disadvantage if we were to have some problems.

      Good idea!

      I always check the “Keep me logged in” box and then I almost always log in to the actual administration interface first, so it rarely happens to me, but you are right that it IS annoying. Especially late in the day when many comments have come in and you may not even remember roughly where in the feed you were when you intended to comment.

      The current behavior is according to WordPress’s built-in standard, but there should probably be a solution for it. However troublesome it may be, it depends on whether it is possible to hook in or manipulate the redirection that occurs after logging in (as it is now, you end up on the right page anyway).

      I’ll look into it and see if it’s relatively simple; if it looks like it will take several hours, I might skip it.

    ⚡ 74 ENEMY UAVs NEUTRALISED

    On the night of 30 June (from 22:00 on 29 June), the enemy attacked with 107 Shahed-type strike UAVs and various types of dummy drones from the following directions: Bryansk, Kursk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk – Russian Federation, Gvardeyskoye – TOT Crimea.

    ❗️The main direction of the strike was Donetsk and Kharkiv regions!

    The air attack was repelled by aviation, electronic warfare units and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defence Forces.

    💥 As of 09:00, air defence forces had destroyed 74 enemy Shahed-type UAVs (and other types of drones) in the north, east and south of the country. 64 were shot down by firepower, 10 were lost/suppressed by electronic warfare.

        I remember when I arrived in Rome once during a heatwave there, going directly from the plane’s comfortable AC-regulated environment right out into the heat, a bit of a “climate shock” to face 35-40 degrees of heat.

          Heat is one thing, scents another, airplanes have very low humidity, about 20%, which makes scents almost disappear. You barely notice that the person next to you has overused their perfume purchased at duty-free and immediately had to test it. When you then disembark the plane, especially directly on the tarmac, you are struck by all the scents, especially when it is hot and humid.

    Now they’re thinking that NATO funds should go towards bridge construction?

    If I remember correctly, they have already tried to secure funds from the EU to build that bridge and it seems that large sums have been embezzled and disappeared in connection with planning and design. (Unclear if the EU has contributed at that stage). They have been contemplating that bridge since the 60s and a major concern is that the mafia will benefit the most from the construction, but now it actually sounds like it will happen, although it’s insane if they are going to count it as NATO rearmament to reach 5%.

      Now 1.5% will go to civil defense, including the construction of bridges.           Then if that bridge is important I do not know.

    Russia has gathered 50,000 soldiers around the regional capital Sumy in northern Ukraine. This is reported by the Wall Street Journal. The troops are located about two miles north of the city.

    The newspaper writes that Russia is using its manpower advantage to put pressure on Ukraine in more and more locations along the front, and that Sumy has become a new strategic target for Moscow.

    General Oleksandr Syrskyj, Ukraine’s top military commander, says that Russia’s goal is to “wear out” the Ukrainian soldiers.

      A government must take into account foreign powers even if they do not agree and cannot engage in activism in foreign countries. Especially if both countries are members of cooperative organizations such as the EU and NATO. 

      Members of parliament and EU parliamentarians have a freer role.

      The opposition is well aware of this but sees an opportunity to attack the government for not doing anything, and if they had done something, Sweden’s reputation would have been damaged.

    On 25 June, there were some pretty big arrests in Armenia. The authorities said they uncovered a network that was planning a “violent takeover.”

    Among those arrested were several priests of the Armenian Apostolic Church (AAC) and even Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, who was the leader of the anti-government protests involving thousands of people that took place last year. And this is just one component of the very acute political struggle currently underway in Armenia.

    The day before, Russian oligarch Samvel Karapetyan, who is of Armenian origin, was detained. The issue of nationalising the strategic company Electric Network of Armenia, which is part of his holding company, is currently being decided.

    At the same time, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan entered into a fierce conflict with the leadership of the Armenian Apostolic Church, demanding the resignation of its leader, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II.

    All these events appear to be part of a single scenario and are directly related to the upcoming parliamentary elections, which are scheduled to take place next year.

    However, a number of questions remain unanswered.

    Or perhaps, on the contrary, this is simply an attempt by Pashinyan to crack down on the opposition in advance and guarantee his victory in the next elections? And what impact could these events have on Armenia’s foreign policy? According to this plan, the coup was being prepared by the opposition movement “Holy Struggle,” which had been fighting the authorities by legal means, primarily by organising large-scale protest rallies. According to the investigation, representatives of the “Holy Struggle” were going to form about 200 strike groups, each consisting of 20-25 people, primarily former military personnel.

    On that day, strike groups were supposed to carry out a series of terrorist attacks, which would lead to an “uncontrollable situation” in the country. The Investigative Committee indicates that about a thousand people had already been recruited for this purpose. What was supposed to happen next is not specified in the plan.     Fourteen people have been officially declared detained. Subsequently, by decision of the Yerevan court of general jurisdiction, they were remanded in custody for two months. Last year, it was the Tavush region, where demarcation work began on the border with Azerbaijan, that became the centre of large-scale anti-government protests. Archbishop Bagrat became the leader of these protests. He subsequently resigned from his position as head of the diocese, but received special permission from the Catholicos to enter politics and announced his ambition to become the new prime minister.
