I have posted some open posts but don’t forget to hurry to substack for a sizzling fresh paid subscription, there are a few spots left 👍
It’s an extremely toxic cocktail being mixed now to try to divide the West, and here’s a fairly fresh angle – if China conquers Taiwan, it’s good for the fight against Zionism.

China has launched its dollar-killer CIPS where they buy and sell products to each other in yuan – oil, for example.
This means they don’t need to go through the dollar, and highly paid experts believe that the dollar’s dominance is therefore over, and it will drop to its real value, whatever that may be.
Quick question – Europe and EUR?
Haven’t we also enjoyed some “world currency” status?
China is upset with the USA so they are halting some exports that could risk crashing entire sectors – but they are also halting it for Europe even though we haven’t done anything. Most recently, VW had to stop car production, for example.
If they combine their new trading platform CIPS with sabotaging our industrial production, and perhaps allow Russia to continue its sabotage activities in Europe – isn’t there a risk that capital might also flee the EUR and Europe?
Where to then becomes the question, and my earlier thought was that the USA is trying to get the capital to flee to the USA when Trump was at his worst 😀
Europe’s leaders have solved this predicament by secretly going to China and pledging eternal loyalty to Xi Jinping and asserting that they don’t really support the EU and USA’s hard lines – I don’t know exactly how many continent traitors there are and which countries are throwing the rest of us under the bus, but the word plural is used by those in the know.
Since China and Russia would like to see a weak Europe, this essentially confirms to these despots that this path taken by China is working well, and it will probably continue to increase 😐
Now, there was Hurricane Melissa here in the Caribbean, so maybe I’m not thinking clearly, but I’m seriously starting to consider whether Scandinavia, the Baltics, Poland, and Ukraine should have closer cooperation in most things, not just security issues and the Russia problem?
Maybe it will be another post about that.
Now that Milei won big in the midterms in Argentina and criticism of Nobel Prize winner Maria Machado is spreading like wildfire, it’s time to reflect a bit on this fresh phenomenon of goodness.
Anyone with a bit of insight expects at least a major financial crash (or whatever it may be), and at most a global conflict.
Donald Tusk has probably read Johan No.1 and is speaking very frankly.

So we are definitely in a time when one should give a little extra beer to their friends on Fridays to keep them in a good mood because you need it when you’re eventually going to burn down the neighbor’s house.
When I asked my Peruvian colleague I worked with in Lagos about Bukele, he just said, “the citizens love him.”
About Milei, he said, “The USA gives money” in response to whether he will fix the economy or not.
The colleague absolutely hated the USA because he grew up with all of the US’s support for various dictators in South America and the wars they started for economic gain or strategic control – he also has every right to do so as they wreaked havoc in South America after World War II.
There is no law that says you have to like those who have spent decades sabotaging your homeland.
All of his children had, in fact, attended American schools where they worked, then at universities in the USA, and now all three worked in the USA – two were even dollar millionaires. His family was a true success story, American dream and all that 😀
That’s why the acknowledgment about Bukele was interesting coming from him, it couldn’t be downplayed, Bukele is simply a true father of the nation in El Salvador.
We are already in a cold war where we have BRIICS on one side controlled by China and Russia, and on the other side, we have the “West” as you know who they are.
In addition, there are many countries that are “neutral,” i.e. they don’t belong to any “block” yet, and both sides are trying to win over these countries.
The USA is trying to win over El Salvador and Argentina, and the USA is trying to overthrow dictator Maduro to be able to win over Venezuela.
China and Russia have, of course, entered Venezuela in recent years, so both blocks are trying to snatch the country, and the fact that they have the world’s largest oil reserves and are close to the USA may possibly play a role because no one seems to want to invade where I live in the Caribbean, which is even closer to the USA.
It is now reported that Russia has landed Wagner in Venezuela, so there is a high risk of things heating up. There has been a string of Russian transport planes in the past week.

So what are Argentina, El Salvador, and Venezuela really?
El Salvador had almost the highest murder rate in the world, and Bukele campaigned on eradicating crime, which he did in his own unconventional way – and the entire country except the gangs votes for him term after term. He is as popular as it gets in a country, meaning the whole country likes him except the gangs who sit sourly in prison complaining about human rights violations.
Argentina was so ridiculously rich as a country around the beginning of the 20th century that they looked down on Europe – an Argentine was simply a higher-standing person, and they preferred not to see the poor, beer-drinking Europeans.
Their steaks were top of the line but then they started with all sorts of fun stuff (you can google it 😀) that got them to where they are today – a country that goes bankrupt every ten years so you can set your clock by them.
Milei, who has now strengthened his position in the midterm elections, has campaigned on improving the country – and the voters apparently like what he’s doing.
If you read about all that Milei has done because if they vote him up in a midterm election, he must have done a lot of good in the past two years?
This is what Aftonbladet in Sweden writes about Milei

Bukele in El Salvador won the runoff in February 2024 in almost a landslide

And El Pais had this to say about him this past summer

This is what SVT thought about Bukele’s reelection in 2024.

I also asked my Peruvian colleague in Lagos about Venezuela, and he said that all of South America went to Caracas in the 80s to see this modern marvel of a city.
Then he said that Peru now has a problem with a million criminals from Venezuela and that his country is no longer safe.
Maduro is an absolute villain and dictator
We fast forward to 2025 and when Trump wanted the Nobel Peace Prize 🤣🤣
Just like Obama didn’t deserve it, Trump doesn’t deserve the Nobel Peace Prize at all, but sometimes it becomes political, now it didn’t.
Everyone starts praising Maria Machado for then starting to criticize her after she dedicated her award to Trump and expressed support for Israel.

Moreover, she will not receive a torchlight procession as is customary at the award ceremony because the nomination is “controversial.”

What do you think is best for Venezuela – that Russia and China own the country or that they get Argentina-style deals with the USA and can start working their way out of the hole they dug for themselves?
Here, somewhere, Swedish media makes geopolitics out of countries’ misery, and when the citizens themselves want to rise up, we think it’s bad – because Milei and Bukele are very popular in their countries, any Swedish politician would sacrifice a designer shirt to have their approval ratings. It’s the grassroots and the silent majority who vote 100% for Bukele and Milei.
Then we come to question two – do you generally feel better under Russian/Chinese influence or by seeking refuge in the USA and Europe?
No one says, but what happened when Europe and then the USA withdrew their claws after the end of the Cold War – well, China and Russia came in immediately and advanced their positions.
So your perfect world doesn’t exist without choosing a side, and if you don’t choose a side, someone else will choose for you.
The question is not entirely easy to answer because the USA has been trying to export democracy through war since the 90s without succeeding at all – just a lot of dead people, and Afghanistan is possibly even worse off today than before the USA tried to democratize them, which can be considered a bit of a record.
Women are no longer allowed to see with both eyes in public – one eye must now be covered when they are out and about. Where are the demonstrations in the streets of Europe for the Afghan women, by the way?
There were quite a few demonstrations for the USA to leave Afghanistan, but now it’s quiet – we’ve seen this before if you remember my posts 🧐
One man’s freedom fighter is another man’s terrorist, they say – but the countries that see us as freedom fighters, should we really push them away as we do with Argentina and El Salvador?
Someone expressed it very nicely – the countries that have been colonizers in Europe and now have problems with migration and crime from the formerly colonized countries – can’t they blame themselves?
It’s called karma, isn’t it, and I can definitely agree with that because colonization was not very pretty at all – they can well continue to pay off for a few hundred more years. But there are also many countries in Europe that have not colonized any other country and absolutely do not deserve the problems we have now.
I think we can establish one thing at least – under Russian peace, one is exterminated, it is a common thread through all of the Soviet Union’s and Russia’s peace efforts to spread their joy. They seem to rejoice in torture, child murder, and ethnic cleansing.
China is a bit more deceptive because they paint a picture of never starting wars themselves, but a quick Google search brands them as really big liars. Go to Wikipedia and read about all of China’s wars – many.
They started warring before Europe even existed on the maps 😀
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_wars_and_battles_involving_China
China has always been at odds with its neighbors to begin with, but before, during, and after WW2, they had a civil war instead of interstate wars, while during WW2, they were invaded by Japan.
The winning side, which was the communists, suffered much fewer losses in the battles with the Japanese than the nationalists did.
In fact, before Japan invaded, the communists were in bad shape in China and on the verge of losing, but in 1945, the communists gained the upper hand to stand as winners in 1949, and the nationalists fled to Taiwan.
You don’t need to be a history professor to understand that the communists built up their strength until 1945 and that the nationalists weakened during the same period – the nationalists took the brunt of the Japanese invasion by shouldering the responsibility of trying to defend the homeland against Japan.
The communists agreed to a ceasefire in the civil war and conducted guerrilla warfare, but history is clear that the communists took advantage of the situation to their benefit.
Until the 1970s, Mao had plenty of fresh ideas that almost invariably resulted in mass killings of Chinese, even though they were given beautiful names like the Cultural Revolution or the Great Leap Forward.
So yes – China has a very bloody history in the 20th century, and the only reason we can’t brand them as Russian sexual sadist murderers yet is because they were first busy with civil war and then mass killings within the country, so they haven’t had the chance to start many interstate wars yet.
Actually, just looking at the Wikipedia page above is enough to understand how the Chinese mindset works, and in Africa, they absolutely know what kind of evil soul the Chinese have now – the Chinese are real arch-racists who treat the local employees very poorly. In many African countries, citizens are fed up with the Chinese, and there are violent expressions of discontent.
A fun fact, in my projects with Chinese entrepreneurs, they always have a party member who is above everyone, drinks and eats like a god, and does nothing – if he doesn’t receive a lot of gifts, he fires the project management, so they are constantly bowing deeply to him with some expensive watch they bought in Dubai on the way back from vacation. Party membership is still important, and Mao’s little red book is in the office.
We are in a global situation where you are either with Russia/China or with us in the West.
This is interesting, a guy in Australia who probably gets paid by China, but what he writes echoes what China and Russia now perceive Europe and the USA as.

“Why China & Russia No Longer Fear the West?
The era when Washington barked and the world trembled is over. The “rules-based order” has lost its monopoly on fear.
China and Russia no longer fear the West because the balance of power, economic, military and psychological, has shifted for good.
For centuries, Western dominance was enforced through wars, sanctions and the dollar. Now? The US is drowning in $35 trillion of debt, Europe is regulating itself into economic stagnation and BRICS+ now outproduces the G7 in real economic terms. The empire can’t sanction half the world when half the world no longer needs it.
Sanctions didn’t collapse Russia; they forced it to rebuild itself and strengthen trade with Asia. “Isolate China”? Good luck. Every Western gadget, from smartphones to solar panels, still depends on Chinese supply chains. After Iraq, Afghanistan and Libya, the myth of Western “invincibility” is gone. The bark is now louder than the bite.
China builds the green tech, batteries and chips the West can’t live without. Russia sells record oil and gas, just not to Europe anymore. When your rivals depend on you to keep their economies alive, fear becomes optional.
Militarily, deterrence now runs both ways. China’s hypersonics and naval reach make any Pacific war suicidal for global trade, while Russia’s nuclear arsenal ensures NATO never dares cross a red line. They don’t need to outgun the US, only make war unwinnable.
Meanwhile, Africa, Latin America and Asia now trade more with China than with the West. The Belt & Road Initiative, SCO and BRICS+ have built entire parallel systems outside Western control. For the first time in 500 years, nations have a choice and they’re choosing balance over obedience.
The West, meanwhile, is collapsing under its own contradictions, political chaos, record debt, culture wars and moral confusion. Hard to lecture the world on democracy when your own cities are burning and your governments can’t pass a budget.
China thinks in centuries. Russia thinks in survival. The West thinks in election cycles.
That’s why the East is rising and the West is tweeting about it.
The simple truth:
China and Russia don’t fear the West anymore because the West no longer knows what it stands for. They’ve out-built it, out-planned it and out-lasted it.
Welcome to the multipolar century “
Yes, I probably violated copyright law but I hope you dared to read anyway.
What I really want to discuss in this post – why is our media like attack dogs against the countries and people who choose us in the world?
Why?
I could sit here all day feeding you negative articles about Bukele, Milei, and Machado.
The ONLY ones benefiting from how the media operates are China and Russia.
We have already criticized the media in Sweden for constantly, for almost four years, getting it completely wrong in the Ukraine war and more often than not managing to promote Russian talking points.
But here we are talking about the future of other countries, if the citizens want Bukele and Milei because the countries will be much better, shouldn’t we support that and try to establish relationships with them?
Not through our media trying to portray them as the “chainsaw president” or the president who “declares himself the winner” – implying that he cheated his way to power.
The last thing Bukele did was cheat his way to power, he has delivered on campaign promises and the citizens idolize him for it.
The Russian and Chinese influence is obviously deep, and you have already seen Bildt and Reinfeldt promote Chinese talking points in a previous post.
Who else has taken Chinese money?
Mark Carney, before becoming Canada’s top dog, took large loans from China for his company, for example.
Now that China is about to have an even greater presence in Canada – can we trust that Mark Carney will do what is best for Canada and not just for himself?
Biden kept them going for a long time, investigated, and in the end, it was probably concluded that Biden as a person did not receive Chinese bribe money directly into his own personal bank account anyway 😀
China has been involved in creative setups since the 90s to influence US presidents.
One must not forget Trump either – he has taken bribes to completely new heights in all sorts of setups beyond his “pump and dump” of the stock markets.
Can we really trust that our leaders have full integrity towards China?
Russia is too infected now so no one can really afford to be caught taking Russian money anymore, but Chinese money is still relatively risk-free, right?
Anyway, I am curious about what the Trump – Xi meeting will result in and the big bribe that we should immediately get a handle on.
The next question now is whether the media is also subject to the same bribery attempts and takes the money so that by 2025 they fail to unequivocally stand on our side in the upcoming global conflict, which would be quite a record otherwise?
Those who want to be our allies are ridiculed and dragged through the mud in our media – why is that?
The media seems to have nicer articles about China than about Argentina and El Salvador.
The global positioning is in full swing, and now we must try to bring in as many as we can on our side in the upcoming global conflict, which currently seems likely to kick off in Venezuela of all places.
The question is whether there are Russian or Chinese anti-ship missiles in the Russian transport planes together with Wagner, there will be a difference in how this will turn out depending on the cargo 😄
And the next question is what is the biggest threat to the USA, that China and Russia steal Venezuela or that Russia sends in little green men to the Baltics 🧐
Considering how it went for Europe last time and how we have acted since 2022, I am less and less hopeful that Europe will emerge victorious from this.
And as a European, that is ultimately what I want, I do not want a new Cold War, a global conflict, or for China to buy up all of Europe as they are now planning to do with Canada.
Europe needs to boost electricity production, manufacturing, extraction, food production, and establish a strong bond with Africa through fair trade agreements.
We need to sever ties with Russia and China seriously this time and then reopen the door to the USA.
Only then will Europe thrive and be the continent we all believe we are – the self-image versus reality is starting to drift very far apart.
Don't forget to donate, Ukraine's cause is ours! Support Ukraine!

Remember the Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962. On black and white TV, you could follow the Russian armada with warships, refueling tankers, and cargo ships with nuclear missile launchers on their way to Cuba. The USA responded with a large fleet, and many believed that a third world war was about to break out. It didn’t happen that way, the Russians turned back, if the USA dismantled its nuclear weapons in Turkey.
Now the Russians are essentially repeating the same maneuver in Venezuela, and it can only mean one thing: Suicide. The USA is not backing down this time. If this is true after all, it feels like Putin’s final hours are approaching.
I forgot to answer your question 205. When it comes to whether it’s best for Venezuela to belong to the “backyard of the USA” or the Russian/Chinese sphere of interest. Of two evils, one chooses the lesser evil. That is, the West.
Thank you Proxima, I would have chosen that too. Forwarding your reply to @JohanNo1 who originally asked the question.

Every other day the pressure rises only to drop the next day, a kind of pulsating pressure. This is especially true for Kostiantynivka-Pokrovsk-Oleksandrivskij, where the pressure surged back up enormously. One might imagine that after a major offensive, there is some logistics to take care of, damaged equipment, etc.

In the Prydniprovskij direction, Ukrainian units successfully repelled four assaults from the 🇷🇺AFRF towards the Antonivskij bridge.
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, no signs of the formation of hostile attack groups have been detected.
👍 The alternating pulse may be due to the fact that it is the Russians who are attacking while Ukraine is more passive and only defending itself. The Russians are attacking and as you write, they may need a day to bring in new supplies before the next attack.
If Ukraine were more active and had resources, they would take the opportunity to counterattack immediately after the Russian attacks are over, when they are at their weakest. At the same time, it would also lead to their own losses, so the tactic is probably what we have seen for a long time, conserving their own resources and choosing to retreat instead. At some point, Russia will run out of supplies and manpower, but unfortunately it seems to be taking a while.
What do you think of this peace plan?
“❗️European peace plan for Ukraine will consist of 12 points, – Radio Svoboda.
▪️Ceasefire to begin 24 hours after the parties accept the plan
▪️Freezing of the current front line
▪️Monitoring begins immediately under the leadership of the US
▪️Ukraine and Russia agree on a “non-aggression pact”
▪️ Zaporizhzhia NPP is transferred to a “third party” with the subsequent return of Ukraine
▪️Lifting of “symbolic sanctions” against Russia
▪️Agreement on the final line of contact to agreements on the management of the occupied territories by the Russian Federation
▪️Start of negotiations on the management of the occupied territories
▪️Gradual lifting of sanctions against Russia as the plan is implemented
▪️Ukraine and Russia agree on compensation, and the West unfreezes assets.”

Flamingos!👍🔥 (the only sanctions that really have an effect are Ukraine’s long-range targeting of war-financing industries in Russia. These “sanctions” can be lifted (stop lifting) when Russia has left Ukraine and started paying reparations. Then other sanctions can also be lifted)

Incredibly stupid way to go if you want to show off. It would have been better to advertise a new program for intercontinental robots or something else. The reason for stopping test explosions is that it is completely unnecessary today and, of course, contaminates the ground and involves other risks.
Hopefully, Trump is not thinking of advocating air detonations in any case, but it wouldn’t surprise me because it is, of course, more impressive. The remnants from previous test explosions are still present.
Today, one measures, among other things, those remnants to date objects to see if they are forgeries. If the color in the painting, or the wine, or whatever it is being tested contains radioactive traces, it is known that they were not manufactured before ~1950, and it is also possible to date more accurately. Genuine older items from before we started test explosions are not contaminated.
“The resumption of nuclear weapons test explosions by the USA will lead to a ‘new era of unpredictability,’ says Russian parliament member Andrei Kartapolov, according to the Russian news agency RIA.
The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that they hope the USA will not undermine global stability but continue to adhere to international agreements not to test nuclear weapons.
Japan, which was bombed by nuclear weapons by the USA in 1945, said in a brief statement that they “will continue to work towards a world without nuclear weapons” after Trump’s announcement.
Donald Trump announced last night that he has ordered new nuclear weapon tests, without providing further details. No country except North Korea has tested nuclear weapons since 1998.”
“Donald Trump has ordered new tests of nuclear weapons for the first time in 33 years, but doesn’t seem to really know what he’s talking about. That’s according to The Atlantic’s Tom Nichols in an analysis.
Not least, the functionality of nuclear weapons to test is perfectly fine without conducting explosions, he writes. That’s also the case – and the weapons work perfectly.
‘There is no one considering an attack on the USA with the insane assumption that the response would be a rain of duds.’
Macarena Vidal Liy writes in El País that the purpose is more likely to ‘flex muscles in front of its rivals’. However, she agrees that Trump’s statement is confused.
Not least, it’s strange that he says he has given the order to the Pentagon, even though it’s the energy authority that stores and manages US nuclear weapons, she writes.”

Considering that Putin’s intimidation with the same has stuck in the throats of Western leaders and made them inclined to obediently keep a good margin to Russia’s red lines, this could symbolically be of value, create counterbalance, and unlock..

Just one way to avoid the sanctions when Gunvor and Törnqvist are not on the sanctions lists.
Let’s hope they are added as soon as the deal is finalized.
“The Russian oil giant Lukoil is selling its international assets to the Swedish-owned commodity company Gunvor, with oil billionaire and CEO Torbjörn Törnqvist at the helm, according to a press release.
The price tag for the deal is not disclosed and depends on certain conditions being met.

BUT I thought that Johan, you would mention more clearly this thing about Swedish Peace First praising the Nobel laureate but after some thought (i.e. the boss has pointed out that Maduro actually has “protection”), then changes its mind. Maybe a bit too obvious and not so fun for that reason, but still important to highlight.

Trump has dropped 1% in both surveys and is now at -18% in The Economist (worst so far) and ties the worst so far with -11% in NYT.
We will see next week if things turn around if the deal with China is appreciated, at least the dollar has strengthened a bit.
Otherwise, ICE will probably continue its unpopular work, the government apparatus is still shut down. Any peace in Ukraine seems far away and the peace between Israel and Palestine seems fragile.
There are rumors that inflation is rising (although no one knows for sure since there is no reliable data), but despite that, the decision was made to lower the interest rate, which may be due to the job numbers not looking so good (those numbers are also slowing down).
