Russia attacked, among other places, Khmelnytskyi and Lutsk last night.

Russia attacked the city of Khmelnytskyj during the night, damaging a shopping center, while reports from Lutsk indicate damage to residential buildings and a postal terminal. Read more here and here.

Possibly, Ukraine has attacked Khanskaya airport, or perhaps it is due to a fire, as FIRMS reports unusually high temperatures on the runways. Link here.

SLAVA UKRAINI

Woke up to an SMS last night, it was from Trump. “BUY!!!!” it said.
I had just gone to bed and had just fallen asleep, so I didn’t bother and fell back asleep. Dreamt of burning oil tankers, but I don’t know if it was in the Black Sea or off the coast of Iran.

Reading this morning that the USA is now planning to leave Iran in a couple of weeks, as they have achieved the goal of ensuring they do not have nuclear weapons (which they already achieved last summer when they bombed them). They don’t care about the strait, let everyone else deal with it.

Saw that the stock market took a jump this morning, of course I wouldn’t have fallen asleep but would have placed early buy orders on the stock market.
Still wondering who Trump was thinking of texting, it sure wasn’t me! 😄

Now the messages from the USA are changing from day to day, but if that really ends up being the result of the war, that the USA declares victory and goes home, without actually achieving any real goal, and leaves it to others to sort out the aftermath, it fits very well to write about it today.

Trump comes with new announcements every other day, so one should probably take his latest statement with a grain of salt. More and more people are beginning to suspect that it’s all really about stock market manipulation.

    1. It should be possible to return with the one that was not needed, so it is completely right to send both two and three per goal. Or can’t the sting-housewife-drones land again?

      1. I agree, even though they may only cost 400-600 USD in materials, it is still money since it requires many of them and still takes a little time to put together, they should try to avoid wasting them.

It may be that the batteries are not sufficient to land again and one might then prefer the safe option over the unsafe one rather than letting a Shahed get away and possibly hit its target.

If it depends on the batteries, one should be able to develop a simple small parachute so that unused ones can land safely and then be reused.

  2. 🇺🇦 Liman direction: The enemy does not slow down and continues to increase its presence in the frontline zone. There is a systematic build-up of manpower – in small groups, with constant changes of positions. The main focus is on camouflage and dispersion: the enemy creeps into plantations, abandoned buildings, any shelters that give a chance to survive our drones’ attacks.

🇺🇦 In fact, they are trying to form staging areas as close as possible to the line of combat engagement, in order to suddenly increase the pressure or launch assault operations at the right moment. But they work cautiously.

🇺🇦 On our side, the situation is under full control. The UAV operators of the 66th Motor Rifle Brigade keep the area under close surveillance: any movement of the enemy is detected even on the approaches. As soon as the enemy is spotted, he is immediately hit. 🌚 Every attempt to build up forces turns into a risk of losses even before the start of active actions. This significantly disrupts their preparation and exhausts resources at the stage of forming strike groups.

“Donald Trump and several of his ministers have become angry since allies within NATO did not help during the war against Iran. But U.S. expert Jan Hallenberg tells DN that the American administration only has itself to blame.

He points out that the U.S. started the war together with Israel without first consulting with Europe.

    – If you want loyal allies, you consult with them for real. And he has been extremely bad at that, he has even threatened to invade one of the allies, he says.

American Secretary of State Marco Rubio said in an interview with Fox News that the U.S. will now need to “reassess” its relationship with NATO.

Hallenberg argues that the situation represents a crisis for the alliance. At the same time, he points out that the U.S. cannot leave the alliance if the decision does not receive two-thirds support in Congress.” https://omni.se/usa-expert-trump-har-bara-sig-sjalv-att-skylla/a/9ppQP5

    1. We’ll see if there will be another SMS tonight..

“US President Donald Trump promises an ”important update” on the Iran war during a speech to the nation overnight to Thursday. This is written by his press secretary Karoline Leavitt in a post on X.

Trump’s speech begins at 9:00 p.m. local time, or 3:00 a.m. on Thursday morning Swedish time.

The war in Iran has been going on for a little over a month. Trump has always said that everything is going great but has recently signaled that some form of agreement is about to be reached. At the same time, oil prices continue to soar and there are no signs that Iran’s Islamist regime is about to collapse.

There is currently no information on what Trump will talk about in the speech.”

    2. “The United Arab Emirates is ready to help the USA and other allies to forcibly open the Strait of Hormuz, according to Arab officials speaking to The Wall Street Journal. This would make it the first country around the Persian Gulf to join the war.

Since the beginning of the war, the Gulf states have been attacked by Iranian drones and missiles, which have severely impacted the countries’ economy, tourism, and air traffic. Up until now, attempts have been made to respond to the attacks by putting pressure on the Iranian economy. But now, the United Arab Emirates is working on a resolution in the UN Security Council to obtain approval to participate in the conflicts over Hormuz and occupy strategically important positions for Iran.

The Gulf state’s diplomats have also urged the USA and military forces in Europe and Asia to form a coalition to forcibly open the strait.”

      1. My prediction that the Strait of Hormuz will be open on April 1st seems to be taking a hit. But it appears that things are moving in the right direction, a closed strait is costly, eventually the world will open it.

    1. I read in my “house organ” Evangelii Herald that Pope Leo XIV has hit the emergency brake regarding the Last Anointing. This is due to the high oil prices. Out of approximately 1.4 billion Catholics, about 700,000 are in need of this healing sacrament every day. Since the anointing resembles grease for carriages, it contains a lot of heavy oil, and the Vatican has to pay dearly for it. Only when the oil price drops to normal levels can we anoint the needy again, states the Swedish cardinal Anders Arborelius. The Swedish church has only three sacraments: baptism, communion, and church coffee. Due to declining population growth and thus fewer baptisms, there is consideration to merge baptism with church coffee (Coffee with Baptism). Communion will now also be available for purchase at the liquor store for a trial period starting today (April 1st). Feel free to talk to your favorite cashier about this. Yes, even the churches must review their finances in these times.

  5. Trump Approval Rating

I thought we had hit rock bottom last time I reported, but it seems there is still room to fall.

The Economist now reports the lowest support for Trump yet at -20%.
That is the weighted result, the latest poll seems to be closer to -23%.

The same goes for the New York Times, which also hits the lowest at -17%.
The percentage of dissatisfied has previously been up to 57%, so it’s not the worst there, but instead it’s the first time the percentage of satisfied has dropped to -39%.

Is it simply that Americans are too dumb to understand that Trump is doing what is best for the USA?🤔

    1. Flurrevuppen

The fact that they seem to ignore the development of the opinion polls makes one wonder if they feel secure with a solution to manipulate/abolish the midterm election….?

      1. Or they had hoped that it would turn around through a quick and successful war against Iran where Trump would triumph by quickly defeating the great enemy (and everyone would forget about Epstein).

When it then turns out that it wasn’t quite enough to just take out the leadership to scare those who would take over and the war now became prolonged and the numbers continue to decline as gasoline prices rise, they realize that they must end it if they are to have a chance in the midterm elections.

Although I must admit that I am a little worried that the election will not go completely right, but I don’t think they can “cheat” too much. Even if they intend to do what they can to manipulate it, they probably can’t completely ignore how the election actually goes.

    2. Was going to shut down NYT but then saw that it had been updated, right now 57% dissatisfied and 39% satisfied = -18%.

  6. ALL Krasnov does turns to shit. It only makes sense if you look at what benefits the Russian devils.
Just like most military analysts have pointed out, he had neither strategy nor plan.
Already after last summer, he confidently stated that he had made it impossible for Iran to develop nuclear weapons. Now he has created an energy crisis, destabilized the region, and laid the foundation for large refugee flows to the EU.
And to top it all off, he has strengthened the regime that will escalate its activities. Israel is in danger.
Some in his entourage have surely made a fortune on yesterday’s stock market gains.

    1. Why do we have to rely on the USA all the time? I agree with Trump that we should be able to stand up for our own cause. The fact that NATO is based on all members responding to an attack north of the Tropic of Cancer makes the Baltics a good litmus test.

If Ryz wants a two-front war, they can give it a try, it won’t be fun for any party NATO-Ryz, even if the USA only participates with a tricycle. In that case, the USA would have fulfilled “according to their own abilities” or whatever it says in the NATO documents.

Most likely, we will feel the impact of numerous drones, but even if it hurts, I believe that closing off the Baltic Sea and sinking the Ryzhian fleet will hurt Ryzh even more.

      1. Flurrevuppen

Agree on the goal of independence from the USA.

However, there aren’t many signs that we are there at the moment, at least not from my perspective. Just look at the energy supply…. the window for an attack on a weak Europe is now open… will be closed in a few years… so… ?

      2. Well, it has been a big mistake to assume that the USA will step in. Now, there haven’t really been any direct issues except when Trump was in power, but we should still aim to be able to defend ourselves.

Purchasing American equipment may have been difficult to avoid, could also be part of trade agreements, etc.

The strange thing is that despite four years having passed since the war in Ukraine started, we have barely made any progress. Sure, it takes time and most countries have increased defense budgets and started rearmament, but the pace is far too slow.

Ukraine is obviously willing to provide drone defense for a fee, it feels very strange that Europe has not acted on this, instead it seems that the countries around Iran are set to become the first major customers.

Even there, despite it being a relatively cheap technology available at consumer prices, we have not made any progress. Very strange.

        1. big mistake to assume that the USA will step up. It hasn’t really been any direct issues except when Trump has been in power

Noted objection that Biden hasn’t always stepped up either. Perhaps here on this blog, by one of the blog writers.

          1. When it comes to Ukraine, I can agree that he could have done much more, but he hasn’t frequently threatened to leave NATO or disobeyed when any NATO country has needed help, right?

Or is there something I’ve missed?

            1. However, I do not believe Europe would have had anything to lose by joining the USA in Iran. Even if we are not obligated. We are not getting involved militarily in Ukraine anyway, and it is good to gain experience in modern warfare. At the very least, we could let the USA use their own bases in Europe. I can understand if the Americans think we are pathetic for wanting to be right, a little, when it comes to our own security being at stake. Now Europe has painted itself into a corner where it is forced to act alone against the blockade in the Strait of Hormuz since we are not helping the USA and therefore are not a belligerent party. Blockading maritime traffic to non-belligerent countries violates international law. This means European military intervention regardless. We cannot escape. Better to have done it together with the USA. Who is not responsible for Iran blocking non-belligerent countries. Then it is Europe’s security. It is Europe’s war. Zelensky has understood that the war in Iran is their war. But Europe is burying its head in the sand. We do not even send troops to Ukraine. Of course, the administration does not admire us for our actions. Which are cowardly.

              1. You have a point, it would have been in our own interest to help, and if it ends with the USA withdrawing and Iran continuing to be difficult, there is a risk that we have put ourselves in a difficult situation.

At the same time, there is a point in showing Trump that he may need to tighten up if he wants others to cooperate with him. He behaves as if he believes he owns the world, and considering the little support the USA gives to Ukraine now compared to Europe, maybe it is fair that the USA focuses on its own affairs.

But at the same time, when it comes to Ukraine, I agree with you 110%, there we would need to dare to do much more actively.

We provide a lot of money and equipment, but I have argued for several years now that at the very least we should relieve Ukraine by securing the border with Belarus, and preferably also the border with the northern part towards Russia.
In addition to sending Gripen, Taurus, and other things that we are dragging our feet on.

        2. Since 2022, I have been screaming so loudly that I became quite unpopular on the other blog for my biting criticism 😀

          Not entirely new behavior, therefore

          1. Blame everything stupid that Trump does on you! 😄

If the Democrats had won, they would hardly have cut back on aid to Ukraine, and if they had won big enough so they didn’t have to care about the Republicans at all, it would surely have increased.

  7. “Satellite images from Russia’s Ust-Luga export facilities show constantly expanding fires, after almost a week of Ukrainian strikes.”

  8. Flurrevuppen

CNN had some guy yesterday who speculated that the US is trying to gain energy dominance as a card to play against China’s REE dominance.

In a way, it sounds like a reasonable strategy.

However, China is still, so far, a “friendly” nation that continues to pass through the strait and even receives direct deliveries from Iran…?

So… to achieve this strategic goal, further escalation is required… to knock out Iran’s own exports and/or find a pretext to block ships heading to China.

    1. I suspect that he is aiming for general energy dominance, Europe will probably be the first to be affected. Otherwise, of course, the idea is good to try to tackle China, but then he might not lift Russian sanctions and as you suggest, stop deliveries to China.

      1. Absolutely and a few more cards that we don’t see as a bonus.
I am completely convinced that oil-China is number 1. What I don’t fully understand is why he is not investing in eastern Ukraine. And he seems to be forgetting precious metals, etc. But I have come to the conclusion that
        1. He thinks he has already tried but it was too complicated
        2. There is a lot to do so he must focus on the easiest ones that yield the most returns first
        3. Regarding precious metals, it is too long-term. If you are 80 years old and have six months left until the new congress, time is a factor

        1. He probably has his sights set on eastern Ukraine as well, but through Putin.

It was mentioned here when the “peace” negotiations were ongoing that Putin has offered Trump a good deal on extracting the riches in Donbass as they belong to Russia.

Even Zelensky had a similar deal in progress, but since Trump prefers Putin, he chooses to make a deal with him instead.

  9. UAE is ready to become the first Gulf state to fight Iran militarily — lobbying for a UN mandate to force Hormuz open, offering F-16s, ports & mine-clearing support. Iran’s answer: 50 missiles on Dubai in one day.”

  10. “Russia’s Rubicon Drone Center FPV drones destroyed a Ukrainian assault group near Pokrovsk, hitting an M1A1 Abrams tank, M1117 APC and BMP-2 as the unit tried to advance near Hryshyne under fog cover.”

  11. “Donald Trump tells The Telegraph that he is considering ending the USA’s NATO membership because he believes that member countries have not helped him with his war in Iran.

    – I would say that I am more than considering it. I have never been convinced by NATO. I have long known that it is a paper tiger. By the way, Putin also knows that, he says.

The USA and Israel attacked Iran without consulting the other NATO members, and the interest in joining the war afterwards has been lukewarm among NATO countries. NATO is a defense pact, and countries are not obligated to help the USA, regardless of how much Trump claims that the attacks on Iran were defensive.

    – If NATO is only about us defending Europe if they are attacked, while denying us basing rights when we need them, it is not a very good order, he says.

Since 2023, the US president cannot unilaterally terminate the country’s NATO membership. If Trump wants to proceed with his wish, he needs the support of two-thirds of the Senate members or a congressional decision.”

    1. On one hand, I think they could have access to the NATO bases, after all, we are allies, but it is up to each country to decide on that, but on the other hand, it was not Iran that attacked the USA, and I have not heard the USA invoke Article 5.

It’s Putin’s ideas over and over again. Russia has complained about NATO’s expansion and accused NATO of being an extension of the USA, which has traditionally been their enemies. Now he has convinced Trump to follow the same line, that NATO is a common army that the USA can use for its own wars, and that should buy “NATO compatible” weapons from the USA, for a constantly increasing share of GDP.

So far, we have been incredibly slow to scale up our own production, as far as I know, but it will come, when we just feel forced enough. Unfortunately, Trump is also waging his economic war against us, so we will probably have to sacrifice some of the comfort we have built up to build a military force that would not be needed if we did not have a neighbor to the east who is mentally ill, and now also a neighbor across the Atlantic who has been affected by the same sickness.

    1. It’s a bit like the Japanese during WW2, they have a mission, and that is to die for the leader, and try to take as many of the enemies as possible with them.

It’s tragic that there are still countries in the 2000s that are like that.

  12. Flurrevuppen – it was like hell when the rumors were confirmed that the drones traveled through the Baltics 😳

if RU logs a formal protest.

One point – now the threat level is so high that our brigades should have been there according to the agreements made, just saying…

      1. Ukrainian drones have been raining down in the Baltics the past few days, so they must be flying over there all the time 😀

        The puzzle, sir, the puzzle.

  13. The reason everyone was behaving strangely was that they were flying through the Baltics so I might as well give in. Felt like something was off a long way but it was definitely not out of fear of the drone which is good.

  14. No one else but the flurrevuppen is stressing out NATO about the connection between the Baltics vs USA?

This should have triggered troops into the Baltics already because it’s urgent.

Do you think the USA will leave the Baltics during the spring?

      1. It could of course be that they want to avoid losses. It would also be a bit embarrassing and of course maybe in combination with Trump having become sour towards us.

      2. It is quite possible that Trump will try to withdraw from NATO as soon as possible as it does not serve his purposes.

He may also have insider information about Putin’s plans.

  16. “Donald Trump claims that Iran has requested a ceasefire in the war.

“We will consider it when the Strait of Hormuz is open,” he writes on Truth Social.

Until then, the USA will “bomb Iran into oblivion, or as they say, back to the Stone Age,” the president writes.

In the post, Trump asserts that Iran’s “new regime” has requested the ceasefire. Despite the power system being the same as before the war, Trump has described Iran’s new leaders as a new regime in recent days.”

    1. Surely a demet from Iran will arrive soon.

Maybe Trump is talking to a “shadow government”, a bit like when the Soviet Union had appointed a shadow government for Finland in Terijoki during the Continuation War.

Now 20 minutes after I wrote, I saw the demet in Aftonblaskan, as guessed

  17. Bunker or Ballroom?

“Donald Trump claims he wants to build a new ballroom in the White House for security reasons and therefore should be allowed to proceed with his multi-billion dollar project despite a federal judge ruling the opposite on Tuesday. This is reported by the New York Times.

Speaking to a group of reporters in the Oval Office, Trump listed several security benefits of the ballroom. Drone-proof roof, bulletproof glass, safe room, bomb shelter, secure communication lines, and “biological protection everywhere” are mentioned as some of them.

    – We have all of this. So it’s decided. I have the right to build as needed, said Trump.

The judge ruled that Trump must have Congress’s approval to continue building the ballroom. The construction must also undergo an independent review. However, Trump has already demolished the old wing and has a habit of finding loopholes in court decisions against him.

In this case, reference is made to a provision in the judge’s decision stating that exceptions can be made for things “necessary to ensure the security and protection of the White House.”

  18. Yesterday it was a Center Party politician who praised Russia, and today it is Sweden Democrats politicians who do not want to donate a 35-year-old fire engine to Ukraine.

During Monday evening, the municipal council of Markaryd decided to donate a fire engine to Ukraine. It is a decommissioned fire engine from 1991 that has been deemed no longer needed within the municipality and therefore can be donated.

In the council, only the Sweden Democrats opposed.

  19. 🇪🇺 The EU has found a completely legal way to combat illegal Russian oil exports, — Kaja Kallas to RBC-Ukraine

▪️ The UN Convention on the Law of the Sea (Article 110) allows European services to legally board such vessels.
▪️ Sweden, Belgium and France have already moved from words to deeds and are physically stopping Russian tankers.

▪️ They are acting with maximum caution, because old Russian “troughs” carry huge environmental risks for European waters.”

        1. It’s a tangled legal situation and Finland was indeed sued (wonder how it went) for the first ship they seized and forced into port. That’s why I was a bit surprised when we in Sweden dared to do roughly the same thing.

Really hope that this is now resolved so we can see many more ships stopped and inspected.

  20. Trump is speaking tonight. Expect it to be about Iran. And a little about Biden. Some about Europe, NATO, maybe something about Ukraine, but doubtful. Ukrainian interceptors save millions of dollars every day when they can replace expensive Patriot missiles with Ukrainian housewives’ drones, which they send to the Gulf states*

    *where Europe doesn’t even send a 🌭1.

    1. Here are some guesses on what he will perform.

He will probably explain that the war in Iran is won, the rest is Europe’s problem, and then suddenly the price of American LNG rose, as they need it themselves.

The Iran war is Biden’s fault, as he did not crack down on them during his term, and Obama’s, who wrote such a bad nuclear deal that Trump had to break it, and then we have Europe that has also made bad deals with Iran.

Trump announces that the USA is leaving NATO, even though he cannot do so formally. He has his own “Board of Peace” which is much prettier. American soldiers will start withdrawing from Europe, starting from the Baltics.

Putin has just demanded that Ukraine withdraw from Donbass, now Trump will demand the same, because then there will be peace in our time.

And yes, it is probably time for Europe to look after its interests in the Middle East, even though it was the USA and Israel that started this chain of events.

      1. Ah, hadn’t had time to read your comment, saw that you also mentioned Obama, but for a different reason.

I think most of your points are probably valid.

    2. Tonight (Swedish time) they are going to send a rocket on a round trip around the moon. I think that’s a typical thing to talk about to divert attention from things that are going badly.

        1. Not impossible, is that perhaps the plan from the beginning?

Look, now I have stopped yet another major war, I must receive the Nobel Peace Prize, no one has stopped as many wars as I have!

  21. My proposal to the Swedish Minister of Defense and our Chief of Defense.

I think it’s time for Sweden to dare to take the first step and send down a company or two or however many are needed along with a couple of giraffes. Then they can safely, far from the front line, practice intercepting drones from the Shaheds, perform alternating regroupings, and connect with Ukraine’s defense. Essentially completely harmless activities, moreover not in any way aggressive towards Russia.

Either nothing more happens than Russia protesting loudly as usual. They would almost appear ridiculous if they see it as an act of war from Sweden’s side.
If nothing more happens, we have once again crossed a red line, and then everyone knows that we can continue to heat the frog and send in more troops. Eventually, we may have reached a point where we can relieve Ukraine while securing the border against Belarus.

Or Russia completely loses it and declares that they are now at war with Sweden. Then suddenly we can do whatever we want with all Russian ships. All civilian ships are stopped, and our submarines take care of the military ones.
Russia understands this, so they won’t dare, they are too dependent on oil.
Moreover, we are also in NATO, so if they declare war on us not only on paper but actually commit acts of war, they are probably in a pretty bad position.

The EU dares absolutely nothing, so I think we must take the lead and show the way!

    1. Yes, it’s time now, it’s especially time for Europe to start learning war 2026 from Ukraine.

      Good idea 👍

I never understood why you thought it was good to have Jimmie as Minister of Migration, this idea was better.

      1. As an atheist, I’m starting to get tired of all the religious people who can’t get along. Apparently, Jimmie has realized that religion comes before everything else for them (because he surely can’t mean that it only applies to Muslims, that would actually be a bit racist and discriminatory, and SD has assured everyone that they absolutely are not).

I assume he will take on the role as both Minister of Immigration and Minister of Emigration so that we can prevent all religious people from entering Sweden, but also so that we can deport all religious people who are already here (regardless of their origin or whether they have been Swedish for ten generations, of course).

When only us atheists are left, it will finally be a bit more peaceful here in Sweden.

Furthermore, I have secured first dibs on Uppsala Cathedral, I’m thinking of moving in there when it is no longer needed for its original purpose. Incredibly beautiful building.
Say what you want about religions and especially their leaders, when it comes to draining the population in order to build impressive structures, they were masters!
Trump is way behind in that regard, a measly ballroom when the Egyptians could build mighty pyramids thousands of years ago!

Note! The above comment may contain traces of irony.

        1. Uppsala Cathedral is grand. But Strängnäs is my favorite. It is more ominous and rugged in its architecture, but it suits my temperament. Inlaid runestones in the foundation make it look very old. Stylish church.

        2. Sending out religious people is quite expensive now with higher gasoline prices for jet fuel.

Can’t we have them in camps or shoot them?

  22. Well, something like that from Trump I also believe as you write – I know that no one believes me when I write that this is by design but the USA has been pressing every damn button on the keyboard since the turn of the year, and they didn’t do that before. They are rushing towards something we haven’t seen yet, which I guess is the financial crash.

There is a lot of planning behind Venezuela, Cuba, and Iran + all the other decisions that need to be made. Officials in key positions are probably getting tired of all-nighters and takeout pizza.

The problem is that when you press ten buttons at the same time, the outcome becomes completely unpredictable, and if you continue the style of immediately pressing another 10 without stopping to evaluate – isn’t there reason to suspect that the hidden agenda is to create chaos in the systems?

I’m starting to feel it anyway, and now when the sh*t hits the fan, the USA backs off and starts selling everything they have at five times the market price and threatening anyone who doesn’t want to buy with a Maduro-perp walk.

By the way, do you see that the Tidö Agreement is in order – there is hope for the next four years with a bit of luck.

Stability and predictable politics seem to be as close as when the man who says that Muslims should be deported apparently becomes the Minister of Migration, do you think he can become the Minister of Culture instead and spend four years arguing about museum opening hours, or do we need to push him into an area where he can cause harm?

Everyone agrees that Islamists are undesirable, but he has shifted to Muslims, which is nonsense but with a chance of becoming a minister, it is also a threat to large groups in Sweden – there has to be a limit after all, or should we start with a crescent moon on the jacket so they can be identified?

    1. I think you see a hidden agenda that doesn’t exist. If it did, it would have happened long before Trump came to power. The chaos started with him, and not even the Americans themselves seem to appreciate it.

At the end, isn’t that what many (far from everyone understands) SD supporters really want? Once they have gotten rid of all Muslims, they can go back to disliking Jews again.

I haven’t had time to check much other media than about Ukraine and Iran, but one would think that his statements should receive the right amount of attention (but maybe they have?). Otherwise, one must start to assume that the boundaries have been shifted (again) and that this view is beginning to be normalized and considered acceptable.

I intend to cast a blank vote, but those kinds of statements risk making me vote for a left-wing party even though I don’t really want to.

Discrimination and preconceived opinions are completely foreign and un-Swedish to me.

      1. MXT – because I have spent four long years screaming about Biden and Sullivan’s betrayal of Ukraine, it’s downright dishonest of you to write that way 😀

I actually don’t know what attracts most voters, but yeah, you probably have a point that if Jimmie starts talking about Muslims, it’s because he thinks it will attract votes?

Now, SD has been very much in Israel and received criticism for it before, so the Jews are probably overreacting?

And when it comes to anti-Semitism, they are not exactly alone in that – the idea that only the right wouldn’t like Jews must have been a long time ago – now no Jews are liked?

I haven’t read much else other than the statement, and yes, it should get a bit more attention, especially since they have just agreed on SD in the government. We have already made the mistake with the Green Party in the government and know that one is even worse when in power than before 😀

Unfortunately, we still have democracy and if SD and Jimmie are voted in, the pendulum will probably swing too far in that direction, one might guess. If he starts talking about repatriation for Muslims even before the election, it’s probably just the first point on his secret list.

But just as the Social Democrats are willing to co-govern with the Green Party and the Left Party, the Moderates are willing to let in SD – no matter how we vote, we end up with a government of fringe parties 😀

  23. Swedish construction company with a good reputation and local presence where I live, so not a “best price” situation where I tried to get the lowest price against my better judgment and got ripped off, but these are really expensive guys + VAT for some who are known for doing a good job.

We have them for a small job that has taken longer than they invoice for, in our opinion, and when I pointed it out, they went through the job and specified everything – completely reasonable according to them. Since they have done small jobs for us before, we are a returning customer and they live a street away, we went for hourly billing as one should and also let them come and go as they pleased – no time pressure at all. We also started the job because they asked us when another project was stopped to be a bit fair.

Johan No.1 has really been honest here since we are still the Stockholmers in the eyes of society and keen to integrate into the “community”.

Now I’ve had enough – for five days I have gone through thousands of camera logs for entries and exits, and especially one carpenter disappears for 4 hours over lunch and then on the invoice, you get 8 hours for that day.

On top of that, the 07:29 start and 15:42 exit cut another 45 minutes, so the overbilling amounts to about four hours per day when he is alone, and when there are two of them, it’s just 2X1 hour that goes to waste + an extra half-hour of lunch that I pay for.

I will have a phone call with the owner tomorrow and we’ll see if he takes the criticism or goes on the defensive – it will somewhat determine how I proceed with this because now I’m quite upset. We don’t have money, so four times 550 SEK is a lot, and multiplied by many days, it’s a lot to give away to someone who is sitting at home playing PlayStation even though he sees a camera every time he enters the house…

Where is the world heading 😐

  24. And now Lukashenko has given a speech to the military that Belarus will go to war.

I think this is starting to become overly obvious now, but maybe we should pretend for a while longer?

      1. hahaha 🤣🤣🤣

I see a very clear thread in what everyone perceives as chaos during 2026.

Soon Europe will stand and watch as the USA withdraws all its troops from the Baltics and Germany, wait and see it will happen.

If Trump doesn’t leave NATO, he will come up with something else that gives him the right not to help anyone.

It’s starting to be Defcon 1 for Europe now.

  25. Trump hotade att stoppa vapenleveranserna till Ukraina om Europa inte ansluter sig till koalitionen i Hormuzsundet.

    En fralla alla frön.

    @heroiam_slava

  26. Apparently, the speech will be tonight at 9 – I hope our leaders are glued to the TV and ready to send the brigades to the Baltics if Trump says the wrong things.

By the way, Belarus has been having military exercises almost continuously since Zapad 25.

I just want to be right, so of course, I’m a bit biased, but I think all signs point to the Baltics now.

  27. Now MXT probably wrote it, but RU seems determined to carry out an offensive this spring.

It’s excellent because then they expose themselves and the defensive hunting becomes easier than if you have to throw tank mines into every bunker opening.

Then at some point Ukraine will start a broad offensive – I can’t reveal exactly when yet, but it’s between the last day of April and the first of May.

The U.S. Department of Defense said Wednesday it reached a long-term agreement with Boeing (BA) and Lockheed Martin (LMT) to significantly expand production capacity for a key component of the Patriot missile system, part of a broader effort to strengthen the defense industrial base.

The seven-year framework aims to triple output of missile seekers used in the Patriot Advanced Capability-3 Missile Segment Enhancement, or PAC-3 MSE, a system designed to intercept incoming threats such as ballistic missiles. The agreement follows a separate arrangement with Lockheed Martin, the prime contractor for the PAC-3 system, to boost overall missile production.

Michael Duffey, the Pentagon’s acquisition chief, said the agreement is part of a broader push to accelerate weapons production and improve supply chain resilience. The department has increasingly emphasized speed and scalability in response to rising global security demands.
