Thank you MTX! Interesting to see the outcome after last night’s drones……
Violent losses for the Russian bastards 💥💥💥
Perspective, the full-scale invasion has been going on for about 1070 days if my head counts correctly. Calculate the average Russian losses per day and place today’s losses in parentheses.
Russian military personnel
826820/1070 ≈ 773 (1500)
Tanks
9852/1070 ≈ 9.2 (2)
Combat vehicles, etc.
20508/1070 ≈ 19.2 (11)
Artillery
22295/1070 ≈ 20.8 (39)
Soft vehicles
34992/1070 ≈ 32.7 (87)
In itself, no news if you have been following the loss figures for a while, but still think they say something, namely that now should be a golden opportunity to provide support to Ukraine that would be the final blow for Russia.
👍 It’s always interesting to compare numbers with each other!
I completely agree with you that it’s time to increase, it has been for a long time, but I think Russia is starting to struggle to keep up, if one increases now, they would probably have to give up by spring/summer.
Here’s another example that provides perspective:
The average losses of personnel at the beginning of the war, from Feb 24, 2022, to July 31, 2022, were 198/day.
Between August 1, 2024, and today, Jan 24, 2025, the average is 1405/day.
So far this year, the average is 1552/day. Many of us thought it was completely unsustainable in the long run when it exceeded 500/day in the fall of 2022.
Now it’s three times as unsustainable!
