  1. “This is what fog does to Ukraine’s drone advantage. All of this territory fell to Russia in a single weekend when thick fog blinded Ukrainian surveillance 300+ Russian troops now inside Pokrovsk. They didn’t fight their way in—they drove in while drones couldn’t see:”

“Ukrainian drones couldn’t see through the fog. Russian troops poured in on bikes and light vehicles by the hundreds. Ukraine’s tech edge vanishes when drones can’t see.”

    1. Hmm. It makes me wonder.

Why can’t Ukraine take advantage of the fog as well? I don’t think the Russian drones see any better through the fog.

Why is the road open? It should at least have been mined and barbed wire fenced to at least make it more difficult for the Russians.

Where are the guards who should shoot those who pass by, are they off duty? I thought that when it’s foggy and drone-free, Ukraine should also move forward their positions, not just the Russians.

Or maybe that’s what they have done, but in some other place… One can hope.

      1. Agree, the fog should, as you write, be able to be exploited from both sides but it may be a little more beneficial for the attacker than the defender, and that’s why Ukraine should take the opportunity to go on the counterattack.

We’ll see how it looks when the “fog lifts”.

  2. Interesting if this article is correct, in that case it will hit Russia hard within a year or two. The USA will also be affected where there are expectations of having to warn if the low prices persist or drop further.

My guess is that this is the main reason why Trump is trying to freeze out Russian oil from the world market because it would raise prices and increase the profitability of the more expensive American oil. The interests of the USA and Ukraine coincide.

“It really depends on China when the oil price crashes. The country has built up enormous oil reserves that have prolonged the downturn, but the question is when it will finally come to an end.

This means that the world’s oil reserves are being filled up and the price of oil will be pushed down, which is good for consumers who will, among other things, be able to refuel their cars more cheaply. It also appears that the surplus is growing faster than demand, further pushing prices down.”

    1. Words don’t trap any Russian.

The issue is “If we so decide”, it won’t happen as long as Hungary and Slovakia get to participate in the decision-making.

    1. Kenneth Gregg
Our friends inform us that our forces now completely control the town of Krasnyi Lyman south of Rodynske. This means that we have a wide corridor in and out of Myrnohrad and Pokrovsk, as well as a stable barrier against any future Russian encirclement attempts.

        1. Yes! It’s difficult to keep up with what is noise based on risky propaganda. That’s when it’s good to have Kenneth who gets facts directly from Tabak, who has eyes on the front line!

  5. Now when apparently fog is the most important thing for being able to wage war.

You agree that night combat capability then weighs even heavier because that can be relied upon.

    1. Unfortunately saw a post where Ukrainians complained that the Russians now had good night vision with their drones. It’s probably the Chinese who have arranged it for them.

  6. Unfortunately, I have to disappoint those of you who were hoping to give away the Spear Shaft Coin as a Christmas present.

I received an email from Klamra stating that their production is fully booked for the rest of the year. However, they can start working on the design before that so that everything is ready for production after the new year.

Here you can find the latest design sketches and you are welcome to provide any feedback:

      1. Tried to Swish back exactly the amount you paid for the seventy coins but Swish apparently doesn’t accept sending 0 SEK! 🤷‍♂️

        Hope it’s okay anyway? 😂

  7. The 28-year-old border guard Yevhenii Sholudko survived Russian captivity, where his kidnappers tore the skin off his back while he was still alive. During the torture, they stripped him naked and beat him with an iron rod with metal balls on the ends. With each blow, the balls were squeezed together, tearing off strips of skin.

Yevhenii says that some men could not endure the pain. Some fainted, others lost control of their bowels. He tried to lift those who had lost consciousness – and for that, he was beaten even harder.

More quotes from an interview: “There was a guard named Nikita, a former soldier. He could kick a person twice in the same spot – and the person doubled over. He killed guys, just with his feet. He crushed all their internal organs.”

“We went to the dining hall in formation and sang songs like ‘Katyusha’ and ‘Den Pobedy’. If your voice faltered or you lost the rhythm, they would hit you. They could run in during lunch and start hitting everyone.”

“In the Kizel prison, there was a ‘standing regime’. You stood all day: head down, hands behind your back. Talking was forbidden. If you turned your head for a second – it meant you were ‘talking’.”

“There was a ‘rubber room’ – no windows, no toilet, no water. They stripped you naked and left you standing there. If you needed to go to the bathroom, you did it where you stood. At night, you could hear people screaming: ‘Please, let me out, I’m freezing, I feel sick.’ They would open the door, hit them, and lock it again.”

“In ten months, I lost 29 kilos. When they started preparing us for exchange, they suddenly stopped hitting us. They started giving us porridge swimming in oil so we would gain some weight.”

“When we were taken to Chernihiv, my family didn’t recognize me at first. Then my mom said, ‘It’s him – I recognize his eyebrows.'”

“The first few weeks after I came back, I couldn’t stop eating. We barely slept at the hospital – we just ate. Only a few weeks ago did I finally feel full again.”

    1. “we can defeat Russia if we want” says Europe.

That is not the worst – a whole bunch of old Azov have come back castrated and men are raped daily for several years.

The number of captured who return dead is also increasing – they have been tortured to death.

infants and toddlers receive the same treatment.

Unbelievable that Europe still manages to half-sleep, absolutely incredible.

      1. “IF we want to”… you can’t really say, why wouldn’t you want to defeat Russia? Why wouldn’t you want to defeat a sadistic regime. Anyone who says otherwise must be bribed or just plain stupid.

Russia proves time and time again that deep down they are the same as they were in the 1700s, if they hadn’t had Ukraine they wouldn’t have been industrialized yet.

      1. Actually, this shouldn’t be a minimal issue, not because it’s proportionally a small Ukrainian issue, but above all, because Ukraine is defending Europe. Who hasn’t sent a single soldier for its own defense?

        1. Didn’t I mention in a recent post that Europe hasn’t embraced voluntary service as something positive?

          It is UNBELIEVABLE.

Furthermore, we now know that no countries except possibly France will send troops to Ukraine, Poland and Germany have backed out.

          Forget about the UK.

No one else has troops to send.

If we had solved it through a strong stream of volunteers instead, the problem would have disappeared.

        2. The constant fear of being killed by a drone strike or having a FAB crash through the roof must be dreadful. Surely the knowledge of prisoners being tortured to death also contributes.

It’s probably a difficult situation, it has been going on for so long, that it’s hard for normal people with feelings to endure. It’s easier for the Russian soldiers who seem to lack a large part of what makes people human, there several hundred years of suppressing their own will and normal empathy and morality have succeeded.

          1. Not just peace through strength. With a joint effort, strength can be built up large enough to not eliminate but significantly reduce one’s own losses, not only in percentage terms, but also in terms of manpower. A worn and exhausted defense force suffers greater losses.

            —

            Right?

            1. Of course, soldiers must be present in sufficient numbers so that they have the opportunity to get leave to rest. If the shifts at the front are too long, they suffer both mentally and physically, and then death is not far away.

      1. Then we will probably have to give him the Nobel Peace Prize after all, then he will probably also expand the oval room so he can fit his ego.

  8. WTF ?!
If the accusations are true, it is completely horrific, and the same if they are not true and the USA sanctions them anyway.

“US sanctions Ukrainian firms accused of helping supply parts for Iran’s Shahed drones used by Russia
Two companies registered in Ukraine that allegedly helped supply components for Iran’s Shahed drones were among 32 people and entities sanctioned by the U.S. Treasury on Nov. 12.”

    1. That sounds like something Russia “planted”, but of course, there are always those who don’t let morals affect business. Hopefully they will be brought to justice.

  9. “Ryska kanaler rapporterar att en rysk Su-27 kraschade i skogarna nära Petroskoi (Petrozavodsk) i republiken Karelen, för närvarande Ryssland. Händelsen inträffade nära den regionala flygplatsen. Besättningsinformation är ännu inte tillgänglig.”

  10. “The Pokrovsk direction remains the most important in connection with the enemy’s offensive. Therefore, special emphasis is placed on strengthening the units in this direction, providing our soldiers with all necessary supplies, and reinforcing the logistics routes.

In the city of Pokrovsk and its surroundings, Ukrainian defenders from mechanized military units, brigades from ground forces, units from the 425th separate storm regiment, operators from unmanned systems forces, and other soldiers from Ukraine’s defense forces are effectively operating.

The enemy continues to suffer significant losses – both in terms of personnel and equipment. The occupiers’ assault groups and their assembly points are being detected and destroyed.

Our active operations also continue in the Ocheretinsky direction, forcing the enemy to spread their forces and preventing them from concentrating their main efforts in the Pokrovsk area. A total of 189 km² have been liberated during the operation, and 257.7 km² have been cleared from enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups.

In the directions towards Huliaipole and Orikhiv, the enemy continues to try to wear out our units with massive shelling and actions from small assault groups. Ukraine’s defense forces are taking actions to block and conduct extensive shelling against the occupiers near the populated areas of Jablukove, Vesele, and Solodke.

Our units also carry out search and attack operations to detect and destroy hostile sabotage groups attempting to infiltrate our defense.

Just in the last day, the enemy has lost 239 dead and wounded, as well as 43 units of various military equipment in the South grouping operations area.

With Ukrainian weapons, we are increasing attacks on targets in Russian territory and in the temporarily occupied areas of Ukraine. Since the beginning of November, 33 objects belonging to the Russian aggressor have been successfully hit at the strategic level (Deep Strike) and 41 at the operational level (Middle Strike).

For complex attacks, domestically developed long-range weapons such as Flamingo, Bars, and Lyuty are also used.

I thank the Ukrainian defenders for every destroyed Russian occupant, for their endurance and professionalism.

The fight continues. Glory to Ukraine!” – Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine / CinC AF of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrskyi

  11. Now an old Azov chief has completely sawn through Europe as well, starting with Magyar.

So we are not ready and shout “we have air superiority” in response to everything.

  12. Michael Burry has closed his fund Scion and is returning the capital by the end of the year.

At the same time, he is privately shorting Palantir.

Feels like he’s pulling a 2008 with the difference that he’s not planning to take risks with other people’s money.

And that he’s using his celebrity status to try to speed up the process 😀

He’s not wrong but the timing is the difficult part AND what kills.
