  1. You are doing a great job MXT!
In the book “The Cold War” by Gunnar Wall, the following passage may be interesting in these times. A paragraph is about the TV series “The Newsroom” which aired in 2012. News anchor Will McAvoy (played by Jeff Daniels) is a guest speaker at a university and is supposed to answer questions. A student asks him to explain why the USA is the greatest country in the world.
    His answer shocks the students.
“There is absolutely no evidence to support the claim that we are the greatest country in the world. We are seventh in literacy, 27th in math, 22nd in science, 49th in life expectancy. We lead the world in only three categories: the number of citizens in prison, the number of adults who believe in angels, and military spending. So when you ask what makes us the greatest country in the world, I don’t have the slightest idea what you’re talking about.”
Found on page 49 in the book, which by the way is very worth reading.

  2. I’m in meetings with half the company and the entrepreneur for the startup so a bit short on time for a few days unfortunately.

I hate when you have to do something for the salary but that seems to be the case, will vote for the Green Party in the next election so we get basic income.

As you know, I’ve also gotten a bit stuck in things other than the UA war but you keep going.

  3. I saw your response about the electricity price yesterday MXT, does that mean I was right?

205 öre in the daily spot price in SE3 is a bit on the high side.

Now we have a normal cold winter again.

      1. Globally, January has been the fifth warmest January, despite being really cold locally in many places, and not just here in the Nordic region. The USA, Japan, and parts of Europe have also experienced abnormally cold weather.

Some other places where it has been abnormally warm instead are Svalbard, which was 15 degrees above normal in January.
Western USA, where it usually snows, has had rain instead.
        Australia is experiencing a heatwave.
Antarctica has been warmer than usual.

    1. Unfortunately, it seems that you were right.

The forecasts back when you were worried about the electricity price (it was probably already in August or maybe it was September) didn’t indicate a cold winter, but then you were counting on Russian sabotage on the electricity supply, which luckily hasn’t happened. That would be a catastrophe.
