  1. Rumors are circulating that the Iranian leadership is sending their families abroad.

Shaky mobile camera footage of expensive SUVs driving up to private jets at airports in Iran.

It would be exciting if we start seeing the same colored t-shirts.

  2. Meanwhile in Russia… “Businessman Dies in St. Petersburg After Falling on Chainsaw” 😳 “According to preliminary information, the former owner of a private security company fell from a ladder directly onto a running chainsaw.”

    1. No one should come and claim that the Russians are not creative. Sure, there are a lot of accidents, but apparently, there is still a lot of room for variation within that guild.

      1. It sounds like something MAGA would come up with to twist the story since the victims were Democrats. If they can make it seem like the perpetrator shot them because they voted for Republicans, they suddenly manage to change his political affiliation.

“Police said they are still investigating a motive for the attacks. The names on the list, which CNN obtained, are largely Democrats or figures with ties to Planned Parenthood or the abortion rights movement. The list included prominent lawmakers like Rep. Ilhan Omar and Sen. Tina Smith as well as Planned Parenthood leaders. Police said Boelter also had fliers for anti-Trump protests in his car, raising fears that he may also have intended to target those rallies.”

“A list discovered in the vehicle named prominent abortion rights advocates in Minnesota, including many Democratic lawmakers who have been outspoken about the issue, according to a person who had seen the list and spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to publicly discuss the ongoing investigation.”
        https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2025/06/14/vance-boelter-shooting-suspect-minnesota-lawmakers/

“Dozens of Minnesota Democrats were on a target list written by the gunman, according to law enforcement sources.

Those on the list included Gov. Tim Walz, U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar, U.S. Sen. Tina Smith, and state Attorney General Keith Ellison, according to law enforcement sources familiar with the matter.”
        https://abcnews.go.com/US/gov-walz-rep-omar-dozens-minnesota-democrats-gunmans/story?id=122847427

So, have all these actually voted with the Republicans?

          1. Feel free to link to the interview, the only one I can find is this, doesn’t look particularly stressed out?
            https://youtu.be/xjxaF7aKTqU?si=7FDyhFII4u8b7GfK&t=171

Can’t see any connection to her being murdered because of that?

Then it’s more likely that she was murdered because she wanted to legalize abortions since more on the list were also in favor of it.

“After the 2022 midterm elections, Hortman told CNN affiliate WCCO ‘choice, climate, gun violence prevention and protecting democracy’ would be priorities for the Minnesota state legislature. Legislation on abortion protections, she said at the time, would be ‘one of the first if not the first bill passed.’

            https://edition.cnn.com/2025/06/14/us/melissa-hortman-minnesota-assassination

Everyone on the list also seems to be Democrats, and if your theory is correct, shouldn’t that mean that all of them voted with R?”

          2. Now I think I found the one you were referring to?

            https://www.kttc.com/2025/06/10/minnesota-legislature-finalizes-budget-cutting-healthcare-immigrants-funding-statewide-bonding-bill/

And sure, that could have been the reason if it was just about her, she was the only Democrat who voted with the Republicans.

BUT the perpetrator also shot another Democrat at the same time and had, as mentioned, a whole list of other Democrats, and since she was the only one voting for the proposal, that motive cannot apply to the others.

    1. “Vance Boelter was also an outspoken evangelical Christian who traveled to Africa to tell his faith story and, in at least one sermon, pointedly questioned American morals on sexual orientation, according to videos and social media posts reviewed by CNN.”

“Records also show that Boelter once launched a Christian nonprofit called Revoformation Ministries. An archived website under that name includes a biography of him, describing Boelter as having traveled extensively to preach Christianity, including in the Middle East, where the site says he had sought out “militant Islamists in order to share the gospel and tell them that violence wasn’t the answer.”

  3. AFU: “In total, 203 combat clashes took place during the past day.
The enemy launched one rocket and 58 aviation strikes on the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements, using one rocket and dropping 78 controlled bombs. In addition, carried out 5367 shells, 82 of them – from jet fire systems, and deployed 3145 kamikaze drones.”

    1. Thank you! 👍

Novopavlivka has established itself at a higher level and the Russians have unfortunately managed to take some ground there. Hope Ukraine can resist and stop them.

This is how it looked on 2025-06-04:

And this is how it looked yesterday 10 days later, on 2025-06-14:

        1. Well, I guess so. They seem to be quite successful in inserting wedges and creating enclosures that they then slowly manage to close. Now they are on their way to get another one where Ukrainian soldiers risk getting trapped in a pocket and eventually have to withdraw.

The overall goal is probably to eventually reach the border of the entire Donbass. An argument against their demands for the four regions has been that they haven’t even managed to occupy them.

  5. “Donald Trump threatens retaliation if Iran were to attack the USA ‘in any way’.

‘If we are attacked by Iran in any way, the full force and might of the American military will hit you at levels that have never been seen before,’ he writes in a post on Truth Social.

He also states that the USA had nothing to do with the attack on Iran during the night.”

  6. The risk of the oil price remaining at a higher level is now increasing.

“Israel has attacked a large oil depot northwest of the Iranian capital Tehran during the night, several media outlets report. Images and videos show a large fire and smoke rising into the sky.

The Iranian Oil Ministry confirms the Israeli attack and says that the “situation is under control,” writes the Times of Israel.”

    1. “Israel has attacked one of the world’s largest natural gas fields with drones, according to state-run Iranian media. The area is known as South Pars and is located near the Persian Gulf in western Iran. Images on social media, verified by the New York Times, show intense fires at the refinery.

‘We have entered a second, and extremely dangerous and destructive, phase of the war,’ says Abdollah Babakhani, a Germany-based expert on Iran’s energy sector, to the newspaper.”

    1. The big problem right now is the area around Pater near Oskil in northern Luhansk.

It will be difficult to retake and seems to be on the verge of being lost.

    1. Well, one might say that we do.

Iran and Russia signed a 20-year security agreement earlier, although I doubt that Iran will receive any help from there, but the whole region could be dragged into war if it is prolonged.

  7. “Ukraine’s Air Force reports a major missile and drone attack. Shot down:
159/183 Shahed and other types of UAVs
    2/2 Kh-47M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles
    0/1 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missile
    3/4 Iskander-K cruise missiles
    3/4 Kalibr cruise missiles”

  8. Europe’s support for Ukraine has lost momentum and commitment since the USA took a more withdrawn role, says Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Zelensky believes that the “coalition of volunteers,” led by France and the United Kingdom, is dragging its feet.

    – Europe has not yet decided what to do if the USA withdraws.

  9. The Israeli military, IDF, is urging civilians in Iran to leave residential areas near weapon facilities and weapon factories across the country.

“For your safety, we ask you to evacuate these areas immediately and refrain from returning until further notice. The proximity to these facilities puts your life in danger,” wrote the military spokesperson Avichay Adraee in a post on X.

  10. A bit of European cynicism and egotism, one might hope that the situation in the Levant/Orient escalates enough for RU to have to withdraw from UA in order to support Iran.

The USA is likely walking on a very thin line now, how will they be able to balance this situation? They shouldn’t interfere but will be forced to if US targets are attacked. What will the relationship with RU be like if Iran goes all in and threatens the USA, escalating in Israel? How will they handle China, which will likely meddle even more?

Russia and Iran have very different views on life and little that holds them together except for their hatred towards the Western world.

  11. Lammis watching ruzzian empire go BOOM

Thought-provoking from Jake Broe regarding the Trump administration’s rather peculiar stance in the war between Ukraine and Russia – that Israel “sold” its attack on Iran to the Trump camp already during the presidential election (Netanyahu met Trump and (hm) Witkoff at Mar-a-Lago in July 2024). The message to Russia – you let us “handle” Iran, we let you take care of Ukraine.

  12. Iran now wants to back down as they realize that not only Israel can wipe them out, but they are also starting to provoke the USA.
All other Iran lovers in the region are keeping quiet right now. Everyone knows that this can never go Iran’s way. I hope the regime falls so that the Iranian people regain the freedom they had before 1979.

    1. Yes, Iran is probably in a bad situation and they are unlikely to receive any serious help.

Do like you and keep your fingers crossed that something good can come out of this for the Iranian population.

  13. “French President Emmanuel Macron made a stopover in Greenland on his way to the G7 meeting in Canada. He was welcomed by Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen when he landed around 2:30 pm.

When Macron landed, applause broke out among a small group of Greenlanders who had gathered at the airport in the capital Nuuk, writes Danish Radio.

Macron says he wants to get an impression of Greenland and show solidarity with the island, which has been shaken for several months by Donald Trump’s desire to take control.

    – That’s not what friends do, Macron said about Trump’s comments.”

    1. Westley Richard

He could have brought some from the Foreign Legion with him and left them there, they need to exchange the nightlife in Marseille for Nuuk.

  14. The bombings by Israel in Iran have caused major damage to the country’s nuclear energy program. Satellite images recently published reveal extensive devastation at the two key facilities in Natanz and Isfahan, writes the BBC.

From the images, it appears that the uranium enrichment facility in Natanz has been destroyed. In Isfahan, several important buildings have also been destroyed, including the factory where fuel plates are manufactured.

  15. Ukrainian spies infiltrated Russia’s exclave of Kaliningrad and destroyed a major power station — Ukrainian news outlets. The intelligence agents drained cooling fluid from an electrical transformer on 14 June and set it on fire, cutting electricity to Russian military facilities.”

Interesting analysis, I have gathered everything below so that it didn’t just become another link that not everyone clicks on.

The war is evolving into a series of endless pockets. Russia tested its drone-oriented strategy in Sudzha and is now scaling it across the entire front in the shadow of the drone “swarm”.

Ukraine relies on fortified strongholds. But the joints between these defensive zones create weak noman points. Russia identifies and exploits these seams with systematic uneven pressure.

By applying steady pressure across the entire line, Russia prevents Ukraine from executing effective countermeasures, one way missions insures that the point will be secured. This allows incremental gains on the flanks and creates multiple protrusions – the “claws.”

There’s no rush to close the pockets. Instead, Russia slowly squeezes them, minimizing its own losses, compared to the Wagner brute force. The terrain favors this approach, as Russian forces control much of the high ground along the front.

Currently, nine such pockets are developing. The Russian pattern is clear: Find weakness on joints Push in manpower to create a salient Deploy drones to increase pressure Once stable, cut off logistics and starve defenders

Ironically, Ukraine pioneered many of these drone tactics early in the war. But they failed to scale fast enough. Russia adapted, refined, and now applies them with growing efficiency.

The outcome is a slow, grinding campaign where tactical adaptation and massed drone usage give Russia the upper hand in shaping the battlefield.

The battle remains dynamic. Technology and Tactical adaptation, not just mass meat, will determine who controls the tempo in the next phase.
