  1. AFU: “In total, 175 combat clashes took place during the past day.
The enemy launched 4 rockets and 54 aviation strikes at the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements, using 11 missiles and dropping 99 controlled aviation bombs. In addition, carried out 5852 shells, 67 of them – from jet systems of salvage fire, and involved 3081 kamikaze drones for impression.”
  2. “A large number of 🇺🇸US Air Force KC-135R/T Stratotanker (17 aircraft) and KC-46A Pegasus (4 aircraft) tanker aircraft were recorded taking off from air bases in the United States towards 🇪🇺Europe.”

  3. Tatarigami has a point.

“The Trump administration was right to criticize the EU, treating it less as a geopolitical subject and more as an object. Despite restraint, the US still supports its ally in the Middle East. Meanwhile, Europe is unable to take comparable action in Ukraine, for its own interests.

Europe remains weak – Germany backpedalled on Taurus, both the UK and France walked back earlier statements about troop deployment, yet people respond with listing historical excuses. Saying that Trump is bad or that the EU isn’t organized only proves my point: you are still looking over the shoulder”

    1. 👍.

Some say that the EU is not a nation, like the USA, but first of all, as stated above and as clarified by Tatarigami on X, it is enough to look at the largest countries/economies of the EU or rather Europe 🇩🇪 🇫🇷 🇬🇧.

Those who claim that Europe (or the EU if the UK rejoins and more countries join) cannot be united due to various factors such as language barriers/cultures have no basis for such a claim. First of all, all significant countries have been on the same side since the start of the invasion. Something similar has not happened in world history, in any previous war where a country in Europe has been attacked. Regarding language barriers, see Canada, which is more aligned with Europe than with the USA despite the absence of language barriers with the USA but several with Europe.

No, there is no reason why Europe should not stand up as a partner in war to Ukraine.

    1. Pokrovsk in last night’s 22-report indicates low Russian losses in the sector despite many attacks. But a high kill-ratio of 84/136=60%.

      According to preliminary data in the 22-report at 39↘️(⏱️45, 44, 44, 58, 36, 33, 41, 55, 56, 46, 34, 37) of 133↘️(⏱️178, 175, 168, 195, 167, 124, 144, 155, 164, 189, 115, 134) combats, AFU🇺🇦 killed 84(⏱️-, -, 107, 139, 138, 87, 99, 179, -, 121, 126, 81) occupants and wounded another 52(⏱️-, -, 62, 135, 107, 59, 58, 138, -, 50, 127, 52), for a total of 136↘️(⏱️210, 287, 169, 274, 245, 146, 157, 317, 210, 171, 243, 133, 142, 285) KWIA in this sector. In addition, two vehicles and one Russian armoured combat vehicle.

    2. Thank you! 👍

It goes up and it goes down.

Let’s see what DeepStateMap says in its next update.

Yesterday, there were only minor areas where the Russians expanded:
“The enemy advanced near Burlatske and in Novopil.
      10:00 PM”

    3. Not something that was included in this morning’s report, but Sumy will in the future be treated as a separate sector.

ATTENTION! Due to the enemy’s intensification in the border area of Sumy region and the importance of informing the public about the progress of repulsing the large-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will report on the progress of hostilities in another direction – North-Slobozhansky – in its daily reports from 16 June 2025.

In addition, the Kharkiv direction has been renamed to the South-Slobozhansky direction.

We would like to remind you that the latest information on the Russian invasion is published on the official pages of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine three times a day – at 08.00, 16.00 and 22.00.

  5. I know that there are those who do not like JVM, but he is appreciated in Ukraine and is doing a good job down there and has been awarded two medals.

“After spending more than three years and 50 trips to help the Ukrainian military, I have now been awarded with two medals in Ukraine.
The first one is from the Minister of Defence of Ukraine, Rustem Umjerov, who awarded me the medal “For Assistance to Defence”.

The 2nd one is from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrskyi, who awarded me the medal “For supporting the military”.
I would like to dedicate these medals to all the people out there helping Ukraine with donations. Without your donations, there would no help.

For significant personal contrib to the org. and provision of comprehensive assistance to the personnel of mil units and subdivisions of the AFU, fruitful coop. with the AFU, maintaining the fighting spirit of def. of state sovereignty and territorial integrity of UA, and active volunteer activities”

Jonas is doing his thing that is appreciated by Ukraine, there are many who do a lot in silence without receiving medals. Jonas has done a lot and deserves some appreciation.

  6. “Conflicting unverified reports: → Iranian dictator Khamenei fled to Russia. → Iranian dictator Khamenei has been killed in east Iran. Even if neither is true, the rumors are loud enough to potentially destabilize his Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).”

  7. “BREAKING: Vance Boelter, wanted for assassinating Democratic state politicians has been captured alive near Green Isle, Minnesota. – 5 Eyewitness News”

“57-year-old Vance Boelter, suspected of shooting two politicians, one of whom died, in Minnesota, USA, has been arrested. This was confirmed by the state governor Tim Waltz on Monday morning, reported by AP. Police stated that he was armed when arrested, but the operation was said to have been calm.

According to ABC News, the arrest took place near Boelter’s home in Green Isle, Minnesota.”

  8. “Sequence of Events: 1. Putin called Trump 2. Trump asked Zelensky not to strike Russian energy infrastructure. 3. Putin launched a massive attack on Ukrainian energy infrastructure with hundreds of drones, ballistic missiles and cruise missiles, causing significant damage.”
    https://bsky.app/profile/igorsushko.bsky.social/post/3lrou7sge722w

(Couldn’t it have been Trump who asked Zelensky to stop bombing oil refineries? It must have been Biden, right?🤔 )

    1. Westley Richard

I prefer when the USA was governed by a mentally impaired president who was unable to make decisions, resulting in fewer wrong decisions.

Perhaps it’s time to abolish the presidency.

  9. Ukrainian agents cause millions in damage during secret sabotage operation in Russia, HUR source says. Ukraine’s military intelligence (HUR) ignited an electrical substation during a sabotage operation in the Russian city of Kaliningrad, causing $5 million in damage and cutting electricity to a military production site, a source in HUR told the Kyiv Independent.

    1. We’ll see if anything sensible comes out of there. I doubt that we will get any clear messages from the USA. Trump probably wants to continue waiting, because he probably doesn’t want to do anything at all.

      1.  Sounds okay, but since he doesn’t like the person Zelensky, I don’t think much will happen. A few statements about how good the meeting was, then he consults his good friend in Russia, complains a bit about Ukraine, and it’s back on the same track.

    2. Westley Richard

      Trump

      Fantastic meeting with great guys.

      Well organized by Canada.

I think I’ll offer them to become the 51st state.

Unfortunately, I didn’t get the appreciation I deserved.

    1. Peter Den Större

Which of course leads to decreasing opportunities for Ukraine to withstand the Russians, which in turn leads to the need for a massive effort from Europe to be made immediately here and now while the chance exists. I become furious hearing that Europe’s leaders are discussing whether they should possibly take tougher actions against Russia. What are they waiting for? What are they afraid of, not being able to afford the campaign promises for the next election? Can’t they prioritize between shorter working hours or national security, and are we in deep trouble.

      1. Oh, but how selfish you are! Reduced working hours are surely the most important thing there is!? So important that one gladly shows that it works by setting a good example oneself! (Some irony may occur)

Europe’s politicians are spineless and suffer from some kind of historical self-flagellation for what they have done in the past, so they do nothing preventively.

      2. Unfortunately, it seems that one is both cowardly and to some extent stingy, hoping that the problems will resolve themselves without having to risk anything serious.

        Tragic.

    2. Westley Richard

The EU’s budget is €2000 trillion and if the US support to Ukraine ceases, it involves over €30 trillion extra.

Start by shutting down the office in Strasbourg, which only exists for President Fantasic Bombastic’s ego, there we save a lot of money.

      1. What has the USA actually donated?

30 G€? Based on purchase cost or replacement cost?

Expired weapons that the USA saves on destruction costs, should they be counted as savings?

All donations are good, but there can be quite a bit of manipulation with economic value.

        1. Westley Richard

I think this also applies to Europe, which has sent a lot of old material but also some new. For example, the Himars that the USA has sent was hardly old junk.

  10. ⚡️ 125 ENEMY UAVS NEUTRALISED

On the night of 16 June (from 21.00 on 15 June), the enemy attacked with 138 Shahed-type attack UAVs and various types of imitator drones from the following directions: Bryansk, Kursk, Orel, Shatalovo – rf.

❗️ The main direction of the attack was Donetsk region.

The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defence Forces.

💥 As of 08.00, air defence defence neutralised 125 enemy Shahed-type UAVs (and other types of drones) in the north, east, south and centre of the country. 84 were shot down by firepower, 41 were locally lost/suppressed by electronic warfare.

  11. “With the help of a new method, Iran managed to penetrate Israel’s air defense, claims Iran’s Revolutionary Guard after the attacks during the night to Monday, writes Reuters.

According to Iran, the new tactic caused Israel’s multi-layered defense system to target each other, which allowed more missiles to reach their targets.

The Iranian attacks show that the country’s military has capabilities despite several high-ranking officials being killed by Israel, says Middle East expert Trita Parsi to CNN.”

    1. “Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz promises revenge after last night’s deadly attacks from Iran. The residents of Tehran will ‘pay the price, and soon,’ writes Katz on Telegram, reports Reuters.

At least five people have been killed in the attacks, which targeted Tel Aviv and Haifa, among other places. Search and rescue operations are still ongoing in the rubble where residential buildings have been hit and collapsed.”

    2. Westley Richard

Svt had a segment yesterday where they mocked Israel for having spent billions on their air defense and yet some missiles were still able to penetrate.

The informed viewer naturally asked themselves how many would have penetrated if they didn’t have their air defense.

Politicians are very much for zero visions regardless of whether it concerns deaths in traffic or through attacks with missiles from a foreign power. Those of us who can think for ourselves know that it is extremely difficult and costly to achieve.

  12. The EU countries will not be able to afford to invest in their defense if the union at the same time is to engage in a trade war with the USA. That was the message from EU leaders Ursula von der Leyen and António Costa as the G7 meeting in Canada began, reports Politico.

“This is not the right time to create economic uncertainty or trade problems, because we need to strengthen our economic base and the USA needs to strengthen theirs,” said Costa.

  13. Saab has initiated a collaboration with General Atomics Aeronautical Systems to develop a solution for unmanned aerial surveillance. The company writes about it in a press release.

    – The collaboration lays the foundation for us to be able to offer a complement to our reconnaissance and command aircraft in the future with an innovative unmanned aerial surveillance capability, says Carl-Johan Bergholm, head of Saab’s Surveillance business area.

  14. Israel has full air superiority over Iran’s capital Tehran. This was stated by Effie Defrin, spokesperson for the Israeli military IDF, at a press conference on Monday.

According to Defrin, Israel has destroyed a third of Iran’s ballistic missile launch pads.

  15. “It is claimed that the 🇺🇦Ukrainian kamikaze drone based on the A-22 light aircraft is towing another UAV. It was this combination that attacked the Russian Shahed kamikaze drone production plant in 🇷🇺Yelabuga (Tatarstan) yesterday.”

  16. The above about Zelenskyy reminded me that I haven’t checked how Trump is doing.
He continues to slowly rise, 44% for and 51% against, so a total of -8% (compared to Zelenskyy’s +35%).

  17. “Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says that the country is “close to victory” in the conflicts with Iran. The country is well on its way to achieving the two goals set before last week’s attacks: to ward off the Iranian nuclear and missile threat.

Netanyahu’s comments came during a visit to an Israeli airbase, where he thanked for the efforts in Iran which have, among other things, led to Israel having air superiority over the capital Tehran.”

  18. Darth Putin:
“OTD 1940 USSR invaded Latvia to prevent them “forming an anti-Soviet alliance” in an operation that had absolutely nothing to do with a secret clause in our first treaty with Nazis. Imagine us today invading smaller neighbours for completely made up reasons…”

  19. “Before captivity — a proud, strong defender of Ukraine. After captivity — tired, hungry, tortured… but not broken. This is what Russian captivity looks like. And what is most painful? The world pays almost no attention to it. 👇”

  20. “Ryska Telegram-kanaler rapporterar att ett ryskt Superjet-100-plan som opererades av Azimuth Airlines förlorade motorhuven på högra motorn under starten från Vnukovo Airport. Flygningen, som var på väg till Batumi, gjorde en nödåtergång till avgångsflygplatsen – en “blå” varningskod utropades.”

  21. “Rök stiger nära Imam Khomeini International Airport i Teheran. Iranska källor hävdar att ‘infiltratörer’ har tänt eld på gummidäck.”
