Iran says it is preparing for the largest and most intense missile attack in history on Israeli soil | Iran has announced preparations for what it claims will be the largest and most intense missile attack ever launched on Israeli soil, signaling a significant escalation in …

It became the smallest ever, they managed with 10 pieces.
Israel has air superiority.
The USA has moved a lot of air tankers to Europe.
Trump has called for a meeting in the situation room and urged the population to leave Tehran.
Is it over for Iran now?
Here it is claimed that there were 30 of them. but that is not particularly many either.
You get a feeling that it could be over quite soon.
“Multiple Iranian missiles struck targets in Israeli territory. Israeli broadcaster Kan confirms a direct hit on a building in the Greater Tel Aviv area. A building in Herzliya was reportedly also hit. In total, 30 missiles would have been launched.”

Now it really seems like Donald is leaning towards attacking Iran with bombs and missiles. Too bad he vetoed when the Israelis wanted to grill him with a turban, they seem to be able to do whatever they want.
I don’t think he really wants to, and he also doesn’t want to be seen as weak. After his cocky statements in the past few days, the die is cast.
Not that he really cares, but he doesn’t want to disappoint the Kremlin, and now on the other hand, he feels the internal pressure to act and support Israel. Especially after the very large campaign contribution from Miriam Adelson. She can probably make life difficult for him before the midterm election.
Ben Hodges also gave his view on the developments in Iran in the latest Jake Broe Podcast.

“Missiles were launched towards Israel. There are preliminary reports of explosions in Ramat Hasharon, near Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, air defense in operation.”
The USA claims they are not involved in the war between Israel and Iran, yet Trump is in such a hurry to return home that he cuts his visit short by one day, thus also skipping the meeting with Zelenskyy.
“President Trump left the G7 summit in Canada early, skipping a planned meeting with Zelensky, citing urgent developments in the Middle East. “I have to get back as soon as I can,” Trump said, praising host PM Mark Carney but calling the situation “very important.” Marco Rubio returned with him.”

DeepStateMap reported yesterday about four areas where the Russians have advanced again, but as usual, it’s not that many meters of ground they take. Over time, of course, it adds up.
“The enemy advanced near Yablunivka, Hrodivka, Komar, in Zaporizhzhia and Fedorivka.”
“In the area under responsibility of the 3rd Brigade of Operational Assignment “Spartan” in the Pokrovsk direction, Russians attempted to break through by foot, motorcycles, and even electric scooters.”

“The war is evolving into a series of endless pockets. Russia tested its drone-oriented strategy in Sudzha and is now scaling it across the entire front in the shadow of the drone ”swarm”.
Ukraine relies on fortified strongholds. But the joints between these defensive zones create weak noman points. Russia identifies and exploits these seams with systematic uneven pressure.
By applying steady pressure across the entire line, Russia prevents Ukraine from executing effective countermeasures, one way missions insures that the point will be secured. This allows incremental gains on the flanks and creates multiple protrusions – the “claws.”
There’s no rush to close the pockets. Instead, Russia slowly squeezes them, minimizing its own losses, compared to the Wagner brute force. The terrain favors this approach, as Russian forces control much of the high ground along the front.
Currently, nine such pockets are developing. The Russian pattern is clear: Find weakness on joints Push in manpower to create a salient Deploy drones to increase pressure Once stable, cut off logistics and starve defenders
Ironically, Ukraine pioneered many of these drone tactics early in the war. But they failed to scale fast enough. Russia adapted, refined, and now applies them with growing efficiency.
The outcome is a slow, grinding campaign where tactical adaptation and massed drone usage give Russia the upper hand in shaping the battlefield.
The battle remains dynamic. Technology and Tactical adaptation, not just mass meat, will determine who controls the tempo in the next phase.”

Is the Russian population starting to get tired of having to contribute to the war?
“Grassroots fundraising for the Russian military slowed significantly during the third year of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, according to an analysis by the exiled news outlet Vyorstka.
In the early days of the invasion, support for the war effort surged across the country as reports of undersupplied and underequipped soldiers being sent to the front made national headlines. Over three years later, that momentum is fading even as the supply problems largely persist.”

Iran probably has robots and Israel has taken some hits – a bit difficult to know what is true in all the disinformation from everyone right now 😀
The USA, led by McDonald’s Gandhi, is preparing to intervene – evidently.
It will probably end quickly when the opposition and the population rise up. Right there, I have a bit of difficulty sorting out what is true, but we know which flag they will wave at least, and the t-shirts will probably have the same colors, right?
When the population rises, it can happen quickly, at the same time they may be waiting for Israel to clear out as many as possible from the top layer first so that it will be easier to start a revolution.
It is said that Israel cannot access an important location for the nuclear program and that they need US help for it – all rumors on Twitter that I always believe in 😳
Yes, it should be buried so deep that one would need the US bunker buster, because apparently Israel does not have such powerful weapons themselves.
I believe those rumors could be true.
The Iranians probably have a good idea of Israel’s capabilities and that they can reach almost anywhere, so it wouldn’t be surprising if they have buried themselves deeply.
It is obvious that Israel needs help with something otherwise Trump would not withdraw from the G7.
MXT’s guess on bunker busters is good, the question is whether they won’t cause too much damage if they are still going to strike.
Trump needs to flex his muscles in front of the audience and show that he can push through a deal.
The Israeli military claims to have killed Iran’s top military commander Ali Shadmani, several media outlets report.
Israeli fighter jets are said to have attacked a command center in Tehran where Shadmani was located.
“After a sudden opportunity during the night, the Air Force fighter jets attacked a manned headquarters in the heart of Tehran,” the military said according to Sky News.
Putin, he cannot say anything bad about, but it’s completely okay to claim that Macron is always wrong?
“Donald Trump left the ongoing G7 meeting in Canada during the night, a day early. But it’s not to work on a ceasefire between Israel and Iran, he writes on Truth Social.
“He (Macron) has no idea why I am now on my way to Washington, but it really has nothing to do with a ceasefire. It’s something much bigger than that,” Trump writes.
“Whether it’s intentional or not, Emmanuel is always wrong,” he concludes.”
https://omni.se/trump-marcron-har-fel-lamnade-inte-for-vapenvila/a/lwxXeG
It seems like JohanNo1 has a bad influence on Trump, who has managed to adopt the often sarcastic descriptions of Macron here on the blog. Or have I read it wrong?
But it’s not a ceasefire we’re talking about, as you yourselves have stated earlier. Israel needs help to destroy the nuclear facility they have placed in/under a mountain. Moreover, one does not fly over twenty tanker planes, etc., to Europe for a ceasefire.
So in this case, Macron is wrong if he thinks so.
I don’t think Macron is always wrong, but he speaks out to not lose interest in his role in the EU. Even high-ranking politicians can make educated guesses and sense things.
😂
😂
Someone surprised that both The Greatest President ever Trump and Président Fantastique et Grandiloquent Macron both want to be in the spotlight?
Both are narcissists.
Trump, I think you’ve misunderstood. It’s only you who cares if Putin was insulted.
The point of excluding someone from a group is not for the one being expelled to feel loved and popular.
“US President Donald Trump says it was a mistake to kick Russia out of the G8 group after the annexation of Crimea in 2014. He argues that the war in Ukraine would never have started if Russia had remained in the group.
– Putin talks to me, he doesn’t talk to anyone else because he was insulted when he was thrown out of the G8, says Trump during a meeting with Canada’s Prime Minister Mark Carney according to Politico.”
https://omni.se/trump-misstag-att-sparka-ut-ryssland-fran-g8/a/25OJ7v
Macron; “Trump, dogs don’t talk!”
Trump; “He’s talking to me!”
Meloni; “Mama Mia, the dog is talking to Trump!”
😂👍
Has anyone figured out Meloni?
There were fears of a new fascist state with close ties to Russia when she won the election, but that didn’t happen. It seems like emotions were allowed to rule.
She is quite sharp and fearless, but I’m not sure where she really stands in relation to others in Italy.
Meloni is valuable and national conservative and emphasizes “law and order”, limited immigration, and traditional family values in her politics. Sounds like a mix between SD and KD if translated to Swedish parties.
😂👍🏻
I think he is right.
Ukraine probably wished they still had their nuclear weapons, and it wouldn’t surprise me if, in the long run, they will ensure to acquire them, and several other countries are probably starting to seriously consider if it might be time.
“Israel states that they are attacking Iran to prevent the country from acquiring nuclear weapons. Several experts warn that the attack could ultimately have the opposite effect, reports NBC News. The channel has spoken with professor and nuclear expert Robert Kelly, who says that nuclear weapons are an effective way to deter an enemy.
– If you don’t have nuclear weapons, you get bombed, he says, using Iran as an example.
He warns both that countries with nuclear weapons will acquire even more, and that countries without them will try to acquire their own.”
https://omni.se/expert-risk-att-fler-vill-ha-karnvapen-efter-de-israeliska-attackerna/a/zABbXO
“Israel claims they acted in self-defense in their major attack against Iran during the night to Friday last week. However, international law expert Jann Kleffner assesses that it would not hold up in court, reports TT.
– There is no legal basis in international law for such an armed attack, most people including myself believe.
Israel argued self-defense in such a way that Iran is a threat feared to be building nuclear weapons. But that danger is not acute enough to be considered self-defense, according to Kleffner.”
https://omni.se/expert-att-israel-havdar-sjalvforsvar-haller-inte/a/EyP5BK
—-
Whether Kleffner is right or not, it doesn’t matter for Israel. The USA supports them, which means that no matter what they do, it will not result in anything other than occasional sanctions. No country dares to seriously oppose the USA. Additionally, anyone who criticizes Israel risks being called anti-Semites.
It’s like with Russia, but there they instead threaten with nuclear weapons, etc., and that is enough for them to get away with just about anything. Ukraine, of course, receives a lot of support, but not enough to affect Russia to the extent that they are deterred from continuing.
Of course, Israel must wait until Iran sends a nuclear-armed missile at them. Or Israel may not wait for this and act beforehand.
“When AI and defense company Helsing raises an additional 600 million euros, close to 6.6 billion Swedish kronor, Spotify founder and major shareholder Daniel Ek becomes the largest buyer in the new share issue. This is reported by Financial Times.
According to the newspaper’s sources, Helsing’s valuation has more than doubled to 12 billion euros, around 131 billion Swedish kronor. This means that Helsing is now one of Europe’s most highly valued startups.”
Must be “fake news”, Israel is just like Russia, they only attack military targets, right? *irony*
(Of course, it’s difficult to know what is true or not, but to believe that Israel has not killed thousands of civilians in Palestine is naive.)
“At least 45 people have been killed when Israeli tanks opened fire in Khan Yunis in southern Gaza, according to the Palestinian health authorities, Reuters reports.
According to medics, tanks fired at a crowd waiting for aid shipments on their way to the city. Dozens of people are said to have been injured and the death toll is feared to rise.
Nearly 40 people were killed on Monday in connection with the food distributions in Gaza, controlled by Israel and the USA.”
https://omni.se/ny-attack-vid-hjalpsandning-i-gaza-minst-45-doda/a/B0LnVl
HAMAS should simply shut down and release the hostages. If they cared about the rest of the Palestinians, it would be obvious.
Now they only care about themselves, and then one can also understand why they don’t want to release the hostages. Without the hostages, there is a great risk that there will be nothing to stop Israel from continuing until they have wiped them all out.
However, HAMAS should have thought about that earlier.
In the end, it will result in their annihilation and along with them, many innocents as well.
There is also a great risk that Israel will simply take control over the entire Gaza Strip and possibly expel everyone.
HAMAS is not just a despicable terrorist organization; they are also idiots who believed that the attack on October 7th would benefit them and Palestine.
It’s like with Russia; they are their own worst enemy where their actions cause the most harm to themselves.
Israel, on the other hand, has the right to defend itself, but there is still a limit to how far one should take it and how many civilians should have to die along the way. They should behave more humanely, proceed more cautiously, and definitely ensure that civilians receive food, water, and medicine even if some of it ends up with HAMAS.
Perhaps not a completely successful decision by Hamas, Iran, and Russia to stage this attack to divert attention from Ukraine.
Perhaps it will end with both Hamas and the Mullahs only existing in history books.
It would not be a great loss for humanity, just hope that Putin and his entourage go the same way.
Wished that the USA were willing to help Ukraine as steadfastly as they stand by Israel’s side.
Once again cluster ammunition against civilians.
“Russian terrorists attacked Kyiv with a missile carrying cluster munitions in order to kill as many people as possible. “This can only be described as genocide,” the capital’s mayor, Vitalii Klychko, said. The number of people injured in Kyiv has risen to 114. 68 people were taken to hospitals.”

“Iran’s Revolutionary Guard claims to have hit Israel’s military intelligence headquarters and the national intelligence agency Mossad’s operational center during this morning’s attacks. Reuters reports, citing state-run Iranian media.”
Iron dome is not aimed at stopping ballistc missiles and ballistic missiles are not precise enough.
They dont hit Mossad headquarters, in best case they fall at 500m from the target.
Geolocation from 4 points
They may have a broad definition of what they call its “operational center”.
Does everything within a mile radius have to belong to the center?
They might be driving with an alternative truth?
Well, it could be propaganda to try to make it appear that they have a chance against Israel.
On the other hand, the image you link to where someone has drawn four red fires and drawn four lines, anyone could have put together when there is no basis.
But I looked around a bit and found this:

I think the second comment is correct regarding it being on the other side of the road, but on the other hand, it is probably not the Mossad headquarters and maybe not even something related to them. Unfortunately, there are too few street view images on Google Maps to make a correct localization and I don’t have the energy to spend more time on it.

Then one can probably conclude that it is clear that the USA is withdrawing completely.
“The American Trump administration has dissolved a working group that has been tasked with putting pressure on Russia to reach a peace agreement in Ukraine, reports Reuters. The group, which includes representatives from various agencies, was created earlier this year.
However, the group’s work is said to have stalled when it became clear that Donald Trump was not interested in a more confrontational strategy against Russia, according to sources from the news agency.
During the election campaign, Trump promised to end the war in Ukraine within a day, but has recently become increasingly frustrated with the lack of progress. Instead, he has opened up to the possibility that the USA may completely withdraw as a mediator.”
https://omni.se/usa-skrotar-arbetsgrupp-som-skulle-pressa-ryssland/a/o3gPbm
To the best of my knowledge, on an annual basis, we have probably provided more than the USA overall, except perhaps at the beginning of the war? However, if they only count on a monthly basis, it may of course be true for certain periods.
“Europe has surpassed the USA as the largest provider of military and financial support to Ukraine, reports SvD.
New figures from the Kiel Institute for World Economy show that Europe contributed $10.4 billion in military support and $9.8 billion in humanitarian and financial support. At the same time, there was not a single new aid package from the American side during March and April.”
https://omni.se/europa-har-gatt-om-usa-skickar-mest-stod-till-ukraina/a/Jb9GdR
If I understand correctly, the numbers are what have been promised, the USA promised a lot in December, which is probably still pending delivery. Denmark, which often appears as a major donor, has a horizon of several years ahead when they promise contributions.
Not entirely easy to compare.
I think one should also consider that these amounts, in the American context, refer to the acquisition value rather than the actual value, so the figures should be seen in a slightly different light.

The question is whether this is the right way to go. Risk of people overborrowing again.
I would like to see more pressure on developing more efficient construction methods and simplifying regulations. In addition, the handling of municipal water and electricity needs to be streamlined as well. Today, it can cost several hundred thousand if you want to connect a new plot even though the infrastructure is already in place along the road.
A neighbor of mine wanted to build a small house on his plot.
Then they demanded that he install an additional electrical panel, which would cost over 60,000 to set up. The cables were already laid along the plot boundary where it would be placed, and it was not included to extend the electricity to the actual building. A completely unnecessary cost. If he had expanded the existing house, it would not have been required.
“The government wants to raise the mortgage cap from 85 to 90 percent and remove the stricter amortization requirement introduced in 2018. This was announced during a press conference on Tuesday.

https://omni.se/regeringen-foreslar-nya-regler-for-bolan/a/B0Lnpv
Now one almost becomes a bit nostalgic when thinking back to the time when municipalities, authorities, and the state cared about electricity and sewage networks, that the railway worked, that we had a good basic power supply. It was long before politicians realized they could use tax money for parades and communicators.
Housing prices have dropped by 10-12% since 2022, which means that those with high mortgages may already be hitting the ceiling if they were to increase their borrowing from 85 to 90%. A difficult balance, we need to boost the economy while facing significant defense investments ahead.
I think it’s good that the tightened amortization requirement, introduced in 2018, which means that households must amortize an additional 1 percent on loans exceeding 450 percent of gross income, is being removed. People can become unemployed or experience a worse financial situation for a period, and it’s not right to impose additional requirements on them.
I also believe that it would be better to keep it as it is.
Besides the fact that one can encounter things that lead to a decrease in income, interest rates can soar, etc.
Most people seem to think short-term and believe that what is relevant right now will last forever.
Trying to sell our house, no one is coming to viewings. The real estate agent says there are 0-1 interested parties per viewing. Acquaintances in other places in Stockholm are experiencing the same thing. The moving chains have come to a halt.

During the night of June 17 (from 8:00 p.m. on June 16), the enemy launched 472 air attacks:
– 440 combat UAVs of Shahed type and various types of imitation drones from the directions towards: Kursk, Shatalovo, Orel, Bryansk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk – Russian Federation, approximately 280 of them were Shaheds;
– 2 X-47M2 “Kinzhal” aeroballistic missiles from the airspace in the Tambov region – Russian Federation;

The air attack was repelled by air forces, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare, unmanned system units, and mobile firing groups from the Ukrainian defense forces.
💥 According to preliminary data as of 10:00, the air defense neutralized 428 hostile air attack vehicles, 262 were shot down by firepower, and 166 were lost locally:
– 239 hostile UAVs of Shahed type (other types of drones) were shot down by firepower, 163 were lost locally/suppressed by electronic warfare;
– 2 ballistic air-to-air missiles of the X-47 M2 “Dagger” type (1 lost locally);
– 15 X-101 cruise missiles;
– 8 X-59/69 guided missiles (1 lost);

One can probably be quite certain that the USA shares its information with Israel, the question then is whether the USA’s assessment is correct. Three years is not a particularly long time, but if it is true, Israel should at least have been able to wait for the negotiations between the USA and Iran.
(Maybe it was still a job commissioned by Putin via Trump to raise oil prices! 😀)

Journalists always want one (1) answer to why a war starts so they nag until they get it and then convey it triumphantly to their readers/viewers. They do not understand that the real reason is actually more complex, and they will continue to chew on the bone they were given.
However, in this case, Israel themselves have come out and said that this was what they wanted to prevent, then it doesn’t necessarily have to be the actual reason but then it’s not so strange if the debate is about that?
I know which bone of contention Israel threw out for the journalists to pounce on.
It becomes a bit silly when the debate focuses on one of the reasons when in reality there are several domestic, foreign, and security-related decisions behind Israel’s and the USA’s decision to go after Iran.
Especially when we do not know but receive information from Israel and CNN referring to some unnamed source. Especially when CNN does not have a good eye for Israel after their attack in Gaza.
Well, it’s difficult to get a comprehensive picture and everything gets colored along the way.
Personally, I would have thought that Israel would have wanted to deal with one problem at a time and not be the ones to strike first. On the other hand, of course, Iran may have been a threat (even without nuclear weapons) and they have had intelligence indicating that they intended to become more active in supporting the Palestinians.
Then it fits well to give the excuse that it’s because they want to prevent them from acquiring nuclear weapons because it’s something that everyone agrees must be prevented.
Israel may want to uproot the weed completely and not just pick Hamas and the 40 or so other terrorist groups supported by Iran.
“Kim Jong Un has decided to send 1,000 sappers and 5,000 military construction personnel to assist in the reconstruction of Russia’s Kursk region, according to secretary of the Security Council Sergey Shoigu during his visit to North Korea.”
“The destruction of Russian chemical weapons that were loaded into BM-21 Grad MLRS rockets. In their communications, Russian soldiers urge each other to take cover and put on gas masks, as the targeted Grad was “loaded with chemicals.””
Must be a war crime to destroy chemical weapons near the Russians who intended to use them. Where is Amnesty?
Dashed red is the seven-day average for KAB and dashed yellow for regular air attacks.
The bars and Min and Max apply to air attacks.
Well, at least not in this data, there is no clear sign of a summer offensive. Is the offensive actually about a redistribution of resources between sectors?
If one only interprets the situation from the casualty figures, everything points a bit downwards. As you write, it does not indicate any offensive action.
On the other hand, the decline could be due to Ukraine not having the ability to strike back, the fact that the Russians are actually gaining ground could also indicate that.
Looking instead at Combat engagement, it is actually on the rise. However, it was even higher at New Year’s, then fell sharply until February and is now slowly working its way back up.
Of course, this could indicate an offensive.
However, it could also simply mean that the Russians are attacking more frequently and with smaller groups, and that the decreased losses are actually due to the Russians overall attacking with fewer soldiers.
Ukraine retreating may also not be due to a lack of ability but a conscious tactic to reduce their own losses and wear out the Russians.
It constantly feels like missing puzzle pieces to draw well-founded conclusions, so it’s a matter of guessing one’s way through.
I never got around to doing a monthly summary for May with a review of all the figures, but it will probably be done for June in a couple of weeks.

It shouldn’t be enough to just get the “driver’s license” through the cereal box when you’re going to steer oil tankers!
“Two oil tankers collide in Gulf of Oman. ❗️The oil tanker Adalynn, flagged by Antigua and Barbuda, which Ukraine imposed sanctions against for belonging to the shadow fleet of Russia, is burning after colliding with the oil tanker Front Eagle, flagged by Liberia.”

Seems like framing oil tankers is a new Russian invention, they tried it in the English Channel a few months ago. It’s just a matter of finding a debt-ridden captain who is a bit risk-prone.

I know, just seeing Hellden’s name is enough to lose the concept 🤣

🇪🇸🇵🇹 The massive blackout in Spain and Portugal on April 28 was not related to a cyberattack, but rather a lack of voltage control capacity in the grid led to the outages, Spanish Energy Minister was quoted as saying by Reuters.

Spain and Portugal are living dangerously when they have to rely on French nuclear power to maintain stability in the grid.
Unnecessary stress for them…
Now there has been a new update on Trump’s (un)popularity figures.
It had turned around but now it suddenly goes backwards again.
41% for, 53% against, and 5% who do not know. Previously, there have been 6% who have not taken a position.
It will be interesting to see the curve if he bombs the targets,

Johan was right as always!
If the USA goes in and helps Israel bomb the hell out of the mullahs, it will get tense in the Kremlin. There’s a risk of a serious escalation, but also a chance that Russia realizes what the USA is capable of.
China will of course act mature and talk about how stupid the USA is.
And the anti-Semitic leftists together with the Hamas supporters will cry in chorus with Greta.

Tasteless. I wonder if there will be any consequences. The Erdogan doll was reported to the police, but as far as I know, nothing more happened in that case.
“During the Gaza demonstration in Stockholm over the weekend, an attack was staged against a person dressed as Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson. Several ministers are strongly criticizing the act, reports DN. But now I did it again. Should have been on my own.
