  1. From AFU’s 156 reported battles, 142 were distributed as follows. Siversk has completely fallen, the offensive is over. Instead, an offensive is slowly emerging in the south. The prioritized fronts of Toretsk, Pokrovsk, and Novopavlivka have experienced a lower but still high intensity of attacks, counted in the reported number of assaults.

  2. “⚡️Fire erupts at electrical substation in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai after reported drone attack. Fires broke out an electrical substation in the town of Staroderevyankovskaya in southwest Russia amid a drone attack overnight on Sept. 22, the regional administration reported.”

    1. En källa uppgav för den krimtatariska nyhetskanalen Crimean Wind att “mycket viktiga gäster” bodde på semesterorten Foros vid attackens tidpunkt. The Kyiv Independent kunde inte verifiera dessa påståenden.

  3. “Ukraine’s Toloka unveiled a new line of underwater drones at Defense Tech Valley 2025. The TLK-200, TLK-400, and TLK-1000 offer ranges up to 2,000 km and payloads up to 5,000 kg. Designed for recon, minelaying, and strike missions, these AI-integrated drones mark a leap in Ukraine’s naval capability”

  4. Vilket väl betyder att det är toppen v ett isberg med tanke på att KWIA steg kraftigt 2023/2024 (uppe över 1500 i snitt var det väl?)

    More than
15,000 mobilized Russian soldiers killed in Ukraine identified by media investigation. The analysis shows that 42% of these deaths occurred within the first year after President Vladimir Putin announced Russia’s month-long “partial mobilization” in September 2022.

  5. A bit early for the energy infrastructure, I thought – it’s still warm.

But it looks like both sides have already started with a soft launch?

Will definitely come to Europe as well, definitely.

  6. It seems to be raining in Spain – they have indeed removed thousands of dams across the waterways and one consequence of that apparently became completely unexpected that during heavy rain, instead of preventing floods.

Good thing we never went for the easy option and stopped at the closed nuclear power plant.

    1. Fish migration routes or restoring to a natural state.

It was supposed to happen in Sweden as well and the first ones started to be torn down but then it was stopped.

      1. Well, the thing about restoration is often taken to extremes. There is usually a lake above the dam as Bal pointed out below. Since the dams are usually at least 50 years old, there is an ecosystem above them, but they don’t care about that. The same goes for wetlands, the forest that has grown on the drained peat dies because they think it should be as they imagine it used to be.

    2. The following text has been translated from Swedish to English:

It has also happened in Sweden that dams have been removed. However, I believe the government has managed to put a stop to it (I hope). We have one in the countryside that needs renovation before it bursts. The County Administrative Board in Värmland and the Swedish Church, which is the largest co-owner, are trying to delay the renovation. A local initiative has on its own initiative made a temporary repair to avoid a disaster. The dam has been there since the 17th century and regulates the flow in a small river. If it is removed, the water level in our large lake, 10 km long and several meters deep, will drop. The river contains freshwater pearl mussels, which are protected. During the summer, the small river will dry up and the mussels will be wiped out. The river continues for 37 miles. Do you think that what has been built in the vicinity of the river over the past 400 years has taken into account that every spring it will cause floods?

      1. Yes exactly – it was the same with the valuable flora in our farmlands and that it would die from soot if everything turned back into primeval forest.

Now when the electricity price soared, everyone started to burn in fireplaces instead – elegantly back to the London fog of the 1800s.

Or decommissioned nuclear power – turned into more oil and coal.

Restoring wetlands must make our grandfathers rotate in their graves because they worked like animals to drain the land.

Is there a shortage of wetlands in Norrland – asks a friend.

      2. I was sitting with a consultant at AFRY in Stockholm just when it was happening and those who knew about it were completely crazy about the initiative.

    1. Saab has probably also installed jamming devices on the German Tornado, if I remember correctly. About a year ago, two Tornados landed in the city where I live. Former squadron but still with some military presence. Saab has operations here anyway. When the planes eventually took off, the pilots had probably forgotten to turn off the jamming devices as the alarms in every car parked at a large shopping center nearby started blaring. A cacophony like no other. Most people still seemed amused.

  7. Zelensky is quite “cocky” right now and Ukraine is extremely street smart.

What do you think is simmering?

I can only see two – either they are convinced that Europe will soon be dragged into the war or they have far-reaching plans for a revolution in Russia.

    The USA will not intervene

    1. I don’t think UA can whip the Russian bastards at the front lines alone.

There’s something big asymmetric in the making, but exactly what we’ll have to guess for a while longer.

      1. Bombing of anti-submarine aircraft and presentation of underwater drones with a big bang, perhaps an indication of an imminent demolition of an illegal construction 🤔💥

  8. “❗️Here’s some more context on the #Ukrainian strike on the Russian Nebo-U radar station in Russian-occupied Crimea yesterday. Even if this radar was only partly damaged, this has huge significance and is a disadvantage for Russian air defense.”

  9. 🇵🇱 “We know that you disregard international law and cannot live in peace with your neighbors. Your extreme nationalism is a thirst for domination that will not end until you accept that the era of empires is over and yours will not return,” — Sikorski told the Russian representative at UN meeting.”

  10. I wonder again if Gregg has written anything about Myrnohrad lately.

On the maps, it looks like they are starting to come into the line of fire.

  11. Europe should have a “Europe-first” policy where we immediately seek cooperation with Africa.

And then deal with the USA and buy American if they buy European.

Cutting China, Russia, India, Asia, and everything else.

    We’ll get there anyway 😀

    1. 👍 India has indeed been on the brink all the time. The United Kingdom, USA, and Australia should be able to win back India. And surely, European-African cooperation would help in gaining influence over India. In Africa, China and Russia have quite a few tentacles, but India was involved in Africa long before. Synergies?

  12. I wanted to respond to Martini from my post about politics from last Saturday.

    You wrote –

“Those who live on your tax money should never have it better than you.”

How do you draw the line between those who contribute and those who benefit here? Is a police officer contributing? The police chief? Should doctors have lower salaries than me? Should the head of a hospital take a pay cut when becoming a manager instead of being a doctor?

I don’t know if you misinterpreted, but I was discussing the social contract, and what you bring up here is a part of that, and the country cannot function without doctors or police officers.

I obviously meant the big cake –

    – administrators, communicators, administrative staff, subsidies, and so on, which become quite a large group.

So, I did not mean that a specialized nurse should have a salary lower than a part-time mail sorter at a private company.

I meant those who are not part of the social services that we as citizens need but still have managed to find a way to earn a salary. We have over 300 government agencies, for example.

For some strange reason, those who truly make a difference earn less and there are more and more people on top of them in the pyramid who receive good salaries.

Soon it will probably be like in the military where there are three generals for every GRG soldier.
