Update

The Lions
Now we can, as the first in the world, after the OSINT and established media, drop the bomb that Ukraine is about to open more attack vectors along the northern front, if we are to believe the Russians.

Since the damn Russians themselves have discovered it, we no longer need to sneak around and write as in previous posts a bit unspecific.
You know, because you’ve read the posts, that the northern front, Dnepr, Belarus, and at the fronts where RU exposes itself, UA will strike. Pretty sure UA doesn’t care the least about red cards and geographical limitations anymore, except for the weapons used.
They are sinking half of the Russian merchant fleet all over the place right now

And above all – their drone weapons have COMPLETELY replaced the need for Western robots because they achieve the same results with their own production now.
The West, especially Denmark, has done the right thing and stepped in to finance UA drone weapons.
Apparently, 2/3 of RU losses are from drones.
Previously, we know that UA took 70% of losses from RU artillery, and UA inflicted 12% of losses on RU with snipers.
The drone weapon has become UA’s new black artillery simply – incredibly exciting.
But we actually knew that when we saw drones flying into horizontal openings or dropping 155mm-sized charges vertically.
No curved trajectories and mediocre accuracy there – hitting the target dead on every time.
They have experimented with “air-burst” ammunition like a claymore from above and with napalm. And now they probably have thermobaric grenades as well.
All the things the West has refused to send, like the US’s millions of DPICM 155mm shells, for example.
What is absolutely crucial in all of this that you read above is that UA can now handle this themselves if 70% of RU losses are from their drones and the strategic drone warfare is their own drones as well.

Zelensky has previously confirmed that UA is 30% self-sufficient in equipment and ammunition, which is a high figure.
If Trump chooses to continue sulking and withdraw troops and prevent support and delivery on contracts, it doesn’t matter now. And that is of course why Zelensky has chosen to fight.
Because it is now confirmed that the US has also put the brakes on delivery contracts.

And this manifests, for example, in Belgium’s F-35 being “delayed” so they can’t send their F-16s to Ukraine as promised.

SAAB’s board meeting when Biden stopped the Gripen to Ukraine was quite a dull affair, I can tell you, as they pitched it to the government and then hell-Biden comes and ruins the whole party.
But my goodness, what an opportunity that has just opened up thanks to Trump 😲
The Gripen is a fully viable alternative to the F-35, and we have hundreds of airframes standing, for example.
Yes, sending a few divisions to Ukraine isn’t a bad idea, but to make an impact, advertisement, and so on, it probably isn’t necessary because Europe will now buy the Gripen.
Finland should probably be the first with a hefty order as a thank you for the artillery shells with the wrong caliber that didn’t fit their gun barrels that we donated during WW2.
I have been advocating throughout the war that our defense industry will get massive contracts when the entire NATO is to be armed. Now it turned out to be Europe instead + Ukraine, but CV90, Carl Gustaf, Archer, radar, AWACS, Gripen, and what else are world-leading platforms, and those tested in Ukraine have been at the top of the performance pyramid.
It’s just a shame that we have sold most of the companies, but at least it will provide a lot of jobs in smaller towns for 10-15 years.
We should also launch a REMO program for the Leopard since our 122 was the Rolls Royce of that type.
Now there is probably a battalion stationed in Latvia near the Russian border, and it’s our Swedish battalion, but the EU could fortify that border with dozens of brigades in a few months without breaking a sweat.
Poland probably manages quite well on its own, and the EU should promptly move frontline aircraft, indirect capabilities, radar, and LV to the defense of the Baltic states.
I have summarized what the EU had previously when defeatism spread like wildfire that we had nothing, and it is a lot.
Now the weapons factories are running at full capacity and are red-hot.
Do you know who DOESN’T think Zelensky is a dictator?
Yes – Ukraine’s opposition candidates who have come out in support of Zelensky, including Zalizhny and Yanukovytch – in your face KRASNOV!

It has now come out – and if you have read my posts, you know that I assumed that RU-USA had talked under the table because when all the press releases came out, they were too coordinated.
USA – RU have been meeting in Switzerland for months negotiating how best to betray Ukraine.
Just that, I think, is a reason to impeach Trump when the time eventually comes, some rule in the USA?
A great betrayal by this Mango Mussolini, we won’t forget 😐

It has also emerged that the US now wants much more than raw materials – they want ports, power plants, and LNG/oil infrastructure.
The judgment will be very harsh on the US here, this is not just Mango Mussolini, but he also has the US behind him in this – greedy colonizers.

So the formal press secretary is talking about Canada becoming the 51st state – the times are out of joint, and it’s almost unbelievable. Fun that Canada beat the US bloody in hockey anyway. I joined the home guard, but they weren’t very keen on sharp missions via Zoom from the Caribbean, they could have been a bit more innovative, and I do have close proximity to Cuba… I’ve been lucky with jobs where I’ve been able to finish the day’s tasks in a few hours, but on days when I’ve had too much to do, there have been no posts. First, it was Covid so working from home, and then it was a marine job in Nigeria. Since the turn of the year, I’ve been in the Caribbean, and my more than chaotic (Italian) employer sent me down half a year before the job started, so I’ve been able to dedicate a lot of time to writing, and I’m extremely pleased with the website for its comment section, which is now lively. The first weeks were a bit like being a class parent buying chips and candy for thirty kids for a birthday party and then no one shows up 😀 In simple terms, I finish a post around lunchtime, and I’ve been working on it since I arrived at the office – the last half-hour is spent posting the article, adding the images, and then scheduling it for publication in the morning in Sweden since I have a significant time difference. Life was easier with links, but apparently, the format with images is more reader-friendly, as many grumbling DMs have explained to me. The English Friday post took a whole damn day, with a two-hour wine lunch break with the Italians and about half an hour on the site. For the rest of the day, I try to save information and build the skeleton for the next day, getting caught up in discussions with fun comments mixed with work. Then I always work on a few alternative posts. Now I can also feel that if I miss a day, I miss quite a lot because there is so much happening, and the number of saved links is about 5 times more than I can write up, around 1000… Post-war, my hope is that we have a lively comment section and can start writing the real history, not the revised lie that will come from the West where they did everything. It will take some time, but we have saved daily posts since the start of the war and thus have a skeleton. We analyze one event at a time and release a slightly more well-written article/post in the debate. Yes, I have the Skalman thread as a model 😀 There were engaged participants there as well, and when they disappeared, it quickly died out. However, I’m on my way to the point where paid work will increase significantly when the project starts, and there is a limit to how much one can entertain oneself with an unpaid hobby. Since the number of pledges/promises on Substack was a part of it, I’m trying it out so those who want to have the opportunity to subscribe or donate. I’m not sure how it looks from your end, but it should be activated anyway. With this, I want to be clear that it is entirely voluntary – if you want to donate a little, you do, otherwise you don’t, and there are no consequences, and everything is still open and accessible (maybe not the world’s best sales pitch 😲) What I want to explore is simply whether one can maintain writing over time and also broaden it a bit. I realized the other week that I should start posting previous work on submarine violations in the 80s, for example, as it’s a bit in the same sphere, and I think it would interest many. Yes, it was the Soviet Union if anyone was wondering 😂 But there is quite an exciting influence operation with a Western submarine and a prominent Swedish politician with US contacts – you can probably guess who, and I figured that out all by myself. I was very pleased with it at the time. I have a lot to say, but time is the limiting factor, kind of. Throughout life, one has waded through half-done and abandoned projects, but I think it would be sad to have to add this forum to that list – those who feel that what is written has value are welcome to press the subscribe button on Substack if they wish. If you liked the post, feel free to share it in your channels. I noticed that after Friday’s English post, there were fewer comments and a mix of English and, unexpectedly… German 😀 We have one English post per week to start with, and MXT is working like an (also unpaid) slave to find automatic language solutions that aren’t too expensive for him to acquire so he doesn’t have to sell the dog that I put up for sale. Friday’s drunkenness was in Swedish, which I saw was appreciated. Great turnout as usual for this epic event where soon it will be impossible to get tickets, so don’t miss securing access for next week. From the admin’s side, it is highly appreciated that informative posts are starting to be written in the comment section on johanno1.se – please continue if you have the energy, it’s REALLY FUN. Most of all, I steal a lot of it and rework it into my “own world-leading conclusions” the next day, so don’t stop, or the posts will become boring 😀 On Sunday, there will be a historic loss post by MXT that he has been working on all week – make sure you’re there to discuss, and it’s perfectly fine to broaden the discussion beyond different degrees of dead Russians if you want, even if it’s an uplifting topic that you can never get enough of. I saw a horrible movie with a Russian who took his own life with a knife – I maintain that the worst ticket in this war belongs to the forcibly mobilized Russians in Storm Z or whatever they’re called. Goodness, Mango Mussolini has been wreaking havoc this past week, and there is also simmering Russian influence, but much of what we’ve discussed has been direct statements from Vance, Trump, others, or confirmed by UA. It hasn’t been easy to keep up, but I don’t feel like I’ve gone completely overboard here without support from the statements made. And Rubio is the latest Trump is now pursuing the policy he wants, and his single most important issue to handle is Ukraine – either we stomp out our era’s global conflict with Ukraine or it escalates to the point where no currently sitting leader can control the situation. Trump will be judged on Ukraine, which is exactly what you saw when the EU went bananas last week. And Canada had enough Diplomacy and strategic communication exist for a reason. David D, a lifelong Republican and military enthusiast, would have wanted to wait for action before the verdict was issued, now just like me, the verdict came “impeach now” – straightforwardly, and Trump is done. The fun part is that in the end, it will be Ukraine and Europe that will bring down Trump through the dissonance that will now arise. The USA’s own little pond is a bit different, but the dissonance with us on this side of the Atlantic will be too much for him to handle, and in the end, he will be left with 4% approval ratings 😂 And Trump doesn’t back down – he continues to attack Zelensky. The sheer ABSURDITY that for a whole week we have heard representatives of the USA trash-talking Zelensky but not criticizing Putin with a SINGLE word – that is absolutely remarkable 🤬 After all, it is Putin who has violated 20 agreements since 2014 and fully invaded Ukraine, right? Game on Krasnov, have fun at the parade on May 9th in Moscow if you are president for that long 👎 NOTE: Those of you who do NOT want to allow automatic translation of your comments, please go to your profile page and set it.

What can the USA threaten with once all support has been terminated? Most recently Starlink:
https://kyivindependent.com/us-threatens-to-shut-off-starlink-if-ukraine-wont-sign-minerals-deal-sources-tell-reuters/
The red cards are becoming increasingly impossible to maintain. Soon I suspect/hope that Ukraine goes all-in and ignores the USA.
Is threatening one’s opponent a form of negotiation? Perhaps, but usually (always) more subtle.
I actually don’t like large state projects, but maybe we should _explore_ if we could build our own Starlink? I saw somewhere that Starlink had cost $10 billion, then maybe we would have to develop Esrange as well, but a civilian market and offering services to our neighbors’ defense forces should provide a better estimate.
Saab, Ericsson, GKN, and there are surely more that could contribute with expertise
It’s coming, but too late to offer an alternative to Starlink for Ukraine. Maybe it will be ready when the war reaches here?
“The EU Commission has now given the green light to SpaceRISE to start building a space-based network of satellites that will be able to transmit internet to Earth. It has been named IRIS², which stands for Infrastructure for Resilience, Interconnectivity and Security by Satellite.”
https://www.voister.se/artikel/2024/12/eu-satsar-pa-starlink-utmanare-kostar-drygt-120-miljarder/
👍
Apparently it’s supposed to be completed by 2030, as long as there aren’t a bunch of Italians taking breaks for wine drinking and Ukrainian blogging engineers carrying out the project, because then it’s likely to take a while 😂
Maybe we can pick up the pace now when Starlink obviously can’t be used without the risk of getting stabbed in the back. In any case, it is comforting that this initiative came into the world in 2024 before Trump came to power. A small sign that the EU understands the seriousness.
Esrange is expanding its capacity to be able to use a reusable spacecraft called Themis. The development of Themis is taking place within ESA and is part of the EU-funded project Salto.
Now that you mention it, I remember, am I supposed to be the first within the EU to achieve that?
I hope all of Europe goes all in and runs over the USA.
Do we really have anything to lose at this point?
Shit has gotten kinda real. I felt like walking over to the Author’s Site and asking if he hasn’t ditched both the Tesla and Starlink by now, but that would have been… counterproductive.
All environmentalists also defend their own flights.
There might be a bit too many emotions circulating right now, everywhere.

It is clear now that the Trump regime is trying to create a false narrative about Ukraine and is following Moscow’s lead when it comes to Ukraine and Europe. Therefore, it is out of the question that there will be any mineral deal, at least as long as Moscow’s hand is in play. Of course, he would ignore a deal and sell out Ukraine anyway. Exciting times now 😡.
I wrote this in yesterday’s thread (around 06:30 this morning):
“Trump accepts Russia invaded Ukraine — but says Putin ‘could have been talked out of that’”
And
“Later in the sitdown, Trump suggested he would talk to Putin about releasing thousands of Ukrainian children who have been kidnapped and taken to Russia during the fighting.”
https://nypost.com/2025/02/21/us-news/trump-reverses-course-says-russia-could-have-been-talked-out-of-invading-ukraine/
The idea that Putin could have been talked out of attacking Ukraine is about him wanting to throw dirt on Biden, Biden was a bad leader.
Hope should live on, but that doesn’t mean everything is calm.
The “war-winning” package that the European countries were supposed to give Ukraine to show the US that we mean business was rumored to be in the range of 60-100 billion EUR. What do you think it ended up being in the end? A pittance! A total failure! European countries have now agreed to contribute 20 billion EUR. It is downright pathetic. Laughable! There was a chance to show that the economically strong European countries stand behind Ukraine and fill the gaps that arise when the US leaves, but no……
https://omni.se/a/dRQAPq
The question is when the delivery will take place and when/if the next delivery will come.
€20 billion is quite a lot to scrape together just like that. Larger packages take longer time and if, for example, it were to be financed with joint loans, each parliament must approve the loan.
We do not know what the package will amount to when it is finalized because the member states are still discussing the design, it seems. There is also an election in Germany now, and I guess they cannot provide any figures until the election is over.
We probably need to have a little patience now.
The EU is going to visit Kiev on Monday. Then, I assume, they will present the support package of around 20 billion EUR. Considering the economies of the countries financing the package, it is ridiculously little. If it’s not money but military equipment that can be delivered immediately, then it’s better, but also a receipt of how little is left in the EU’s coffers.
I can’t see many bright spots right now and see that they are also absent here with Johan and in the comments. Europe failing to come up with money for Ukraine and the likely shutdown of Starlink by the USA are two major setbacks, leaving Europe helpless while the leaders of Russia, Hungary, and Slovakia toast with champagne. It’s soon too late to offer Ukraine an alternative. If there is no BIG initiative from the willing countries in Europe next week, Ukraine will probably have to dig in and resist as long as they can while Russia deploys new Chinese and American tanks to the front.
“Trump accepts Russia invaded Ukraine” now we must rejoice in the small progress being made and not collapse into despair.
Trump’s goal is to spread hopelessness so that we will accept a bad peace agreement, because it could have been worse.
Completely according to the manual for a ruthless negotiator.
“All messages about the resistance ceasing…”
Yes. It’s still holding. 👍
Free Ukraine is calling for restraint at least with panic about X (can we link to X here, what does Johan1 say?).
I actively choose to distrust journalists who spread defeatist messages in the press (even if it’s just about ignorance/clickbait), it’s a good rule even on websites and social media.
If bumblebees knew they couldn’t fly, they wouldn’t do it.
(Yes, I know that particular theory has been debunked for a couple of years now, but it’s just too good of a metaphor to let go. Plus, I love insects.)
You do know that Europe has failed to scrape together money, right?
I know that what will be delivered to Ukraine is far from sufficient and nowhere near what was trumpeted when it became clear that the USA had chosen the wrong side. However, I hope that more will come………..
It takes time. Why not borrow the money? The collateral could be a rare earth metal deal or similar. Ukraine is a rich country in resources. Liquidity is poor. It also provides an additional incentive to win the war.
This rumor is resurfacing. Significant if true. Hits at Russia’s capabilities.
https://x.com/raging545/status/1892689815176364297?s=61
A rumor that refuses to die. That of the shot down Russian TU-95 Bear over the Caspian Sea.
Which country will implode first. Russia or the USA?
And how many weeks will it take before the USA turns inward?
Russia presumably, the USA certainly has political and cultural convulsions to deal with but otherwise the country functions fine, in many respects well. Russia is a broken gas station with remnants of an army, no dynamism, no innovations, no popular engagement in anything, predestined to fail.
The question is whether it will end with a whimper or an implosion where the city-countries take advantage to leave. Now Putin apparently is going to announce Russia’s victory over Ukraine, which some see as a sign that he intends to portray UA as warmongers if they do not lay down their weapons. I choose to see it as Putin grasping for a narrative and an opportunity where he can extricate himself from the mess he started but cannot navigate through.
The moment Putin announces this, our left will immediately demand the withdrawal of all military technical orders.
Russia shows weakness by begging for peace, which should be obvious to the Western world. This must become costly for the Russians, the question is who will be the winner, UA or USA?
USA has already gained a lot from a weakened Russia, while UA has a war-torn country that needs to be rebuilt.
USA, RU, and China. Are these three going to dictate the terms and come out on top? Hahaha! What a damn joke! It’s just as likely as BRICS succeeding in creating a common currency.
The USA is now making itself completely irrelevant as RU is not someone to cooperate with. China is the big winner in this debacle.
I see on some channels that Republican Governors have now realized what is going to happen and are writing to Trump to exempt their state from various tariffs that will affect agriculture, small businesses, and ordinary people. About time, idiots!
What we are seeing now is not the beginning of WW3, it’s the beginning of a civil war in the USA and states breaking away. I used to think 2050. If this continues after the next election, it will be as early as 2030.
Sad with Trump’s strange approach to Russia. He alienates large groups of sensible conservative Europeans. Stupid is an understatement.
Update from 08:00 on 22.02.2025 regarding the Russian invasion
A total of 90↘️firefights were recorded during the past day.
#Kharkiv 2
#Kupyansk 5
#Lyman 7
#Kramatorsk 3
#Toretsk 13💥
#Pokrovsk 29💥💥
#Novopavlivka 5
#Orikhivsk 3
#Kursk 15💥
There is a decrease in the number of attacks on all fronts, with Pokrovsk and Kursk remaining the most active.
#Kursk
The Ukrainian defense forces continue their operations in the Kursk region. Yesterday, the enemy carried out 31 air strikes, released 43 drones, and fired 437 times, three of which were from multiple rocket launchers. Ukrainian defenders repelled 15 attackers’ assaults.
Map (AFU🇺🇦):
https://x.com/coxoxoffoxoffic/status/1893221328569692439?s=46
In the #Pokrovsk sector, our defenders stopped 29 attacks from the aggressor against the settlements of Vodiane Druhe, Yelizavetivka, Svyrydonivka, Promin, Pishchane, Serhiivka, Andriivka, Ulakly, Udachne, Nadiivka, and Molodetske.
Map (AFU🇺🇦):
https://x.com/coxoxoffoxoffic/status/1893221321997156819?s=46
There are some strange numbers and UAs attacks do not seem to be included in the statistics.
UA has obviously launched an attack in Pokrovsk, which is not included in the total.
Infoblocked about Pokrovsk maybe?
The army leadership primarily explains about “incoming” attacks that they repel.
It is in line with the trend of not disclosing the movements of their own troops. Information is indirectly released through maps. Now AFU🇺🇦 has its own maps that can be used to compare movements.
A repelled attack could also mean withdrawing if the position cannot be defended, right?
I believe the Ukrainian Armed Forces counterattack drone strikes from fixed defensive positions. The Russians advancing do not see any Ukrainians. But they are spotted by the Ukrainian drone operators who send off a few swarms…
Ukraine originally had 1,200 km2 in Kursk. Today, that number is 500 km2. Russia has been reclaiming 100 km2 per month. I hope that Ukraine has reached a stable defense line here or is ACTUALLY planning a new offensive into Russia.
Every month when my salary comes in, I buy medical equipment for Ukraine from Apotea. They have a fantastic initiative where they handle the delivery to Ukraine. There are several different packages to choose from. Ranging from 100 SEK to 100,000 SEK.
https://www.apotea.se/sok?q=ukraina&x=0&y=0
Visit the website, take a look, and make a contribution. Whether big or small. The more people contribute, the better.
A emergency backpack for e.g. 300 SEK contains the following:
https://www.apotea.se/akutryggsack-ukraina-300-kr
Tourniquet (stops arterial bleeding in arm or leg)
Hemostatic dressings
Clamps to close wound edges
Nasal airway tubes (keep airways open)
Resuscitation bags (oxygenation in case of breathing difficulties or respiratory arrest)
Oximeter measures blood oxygen saturation and pulse rate
Thoracocentesis needles (removes fluid or air from the pleural cavity around the lungs)
Infusion cannulas
Tourniquet
Drill (for immediate medication and/or fluid)
Intravenous catheters
Infusion set (for medication injection)
Disinfectant wipes

Great (!) ordering today.
Nice!
I believe that you buy a part of a backpack, the same list whether you give 100 SEK or 20,000 SEK.
That may be the case, but regardless, it’s an easy way to contribute with things that are constantly being used and need to be replenished!
“Trump announced for the first time the actual figures of US aid to Ukraine: America provided $67 billion in military aid and $31.5 billion in direct budget support.
So the total amount of US aid to Ukraine is less than $100 billion, and not $350 billion, as Trump previously stated.”
USA has provided a loan to Ukraine for $20 billion dollars with frozen Russian assets as collateral. Not sure if they are included in your figures.
Almost unlikely, Trump corrects himself then.
“Do you know who DOESN’T think Zelensky is a dictator?
Yes – Ukrainian opposition candidates who have come out in support of Zelensky as one man/woman.”
Ukrainians are also not worried about an election. Regardless of whether Z wins or not.
“We don’t believe in Biden’s or Trump’s promises – Russia will not stop; it’s a constant danger for Ukrainians.
We expect help from allies but only trust the Armed Forces of Ukraine.”
@heroiam_slava (x)
Did you survive Friday’s binge-drinking?
There was drunk-posting here and too much rum 😲
My new favorite topic is of course Trump because it never ends.
Yesterday he continued to talk down Zelensky on various radio channels and different representatives patronize our time’s Churchill hardcore.
Now various organizations are coming out and warning – just like I did yesterday – that Russian psyops are simmering in the background.
But…
everything we’ve posted angry emojis to are direct statements on video so no rumors or taken out of context, but what has actually been said, we’re not exaggerating.
I deliberately posted moving images where everything is said so it’s not hearsay.
Most recently, everyone started writing that the mineral deal is reaching the finish line.
Forget it, UA is saying it’s completely one-sided with just a bunch of demands on UA.
The idea that it’s in eastern Ukraine and then would mean that Trump is kicking out Putin is a rumor that would be fun if it’s true.
Now it’s the weekend and even in the USA, they’re reviewing the past week and discussing it internally, and then we’ll see next week if this is the line the USA (Trump!) wants to pursue or if they feel it didn’t go very well and that they should reconsider.
Wild guess, if it’s true that UA rejects the next proposal from the USA, then Trump will come out even harder next week and embarrass himself even more if possible.
Macron is on his way to the USA, let’s see what he can accomplish.
The intensity of this actually surprised me and tells us that this group is completely misaligned. We’ve seen it the whole war with different representatives but to come in 2025 must be considered a bit of a world record.
They thought that UA would give away all their country’s natural resources to the USA without blinking an eye and without getting anything in return – incomprehensible.
Because that’s the basis of the whole dispute – Trump is furious that Ukraine didn’t sign and then immediately thanked the USA for just losing a bunch of provinces in the east. Trump feels that Zelensky is an ungrateful bastard who makes him look bad 😲
At the same time, he calls Putin a cool guy who maybe shouldn’t have started the war but we need to understand him better 🤬
The lack of equal treatment is quite glaring and that’s kind of the cornerstone of a peace negotiator’s role if he is to be taken seriously, right?
In the real world, you own your consequences and that’s what Trump and the USA will have to do – don’t think for a second that the Military-Industrial Complex is happy with this, Trump’s polls are already plummeting and a recession is knocking on the door.
I don’t rule out impeachment because you can rest assured that everything said directly to RU from the Trump team behind closed doors is on video.
Krasnov wants the Order of Stalin 😀
“That it is in eastern Ukraine and then would mean that Trump kicks out Putin is a rumor which would be fun if true. Putin has countered this by offering Trump a share of what is on occupied land. A good ‘deal’ for Trump so maybe he will defend occupied land against Ukraine instead. The moral compass has never existed among the people who currently control American foreign policy :-(“
Watched the video yesterday with the aggressive hamster, which reminded me of when me and my friends, in some form of macho bravado, would go bear hunting in Jämtland. We didn’t encounter any bears, but I was attacked by a mountain lemming, which made my heart race as much as any teddy bear. They have as much megalomania as Trump and Putin combined.
There is so much information and misinformation that one must be careful in drawing conclusions.
I read an op-ed in SvD by Professor Erik Åsard that made me react.
https://www.svd.se/a/pPO221/erik-asard-trumps-agerande-blir-begripligt-sett-till-tesen-om-komprometterande-uppgifter
Professor Åsard takes an easy route when trying to explain why Trump is so submissive to Putin.
He presents two theories, one being that the FSB would have some sexually compromising information on Trump. I don’t understand why Trump would care about that; hardly anyone believes he is the faithful type, least of all Melania. In today’s society, everything can be fabricated with the help of AI and also dismissed by claiming it was created with the help of AI.
The next theory is that Trump was on the brink of ruin in the 80s after a failed investment in a casino in Atlantic City and was saved by Russian oligarchs.
In the 80s, there were no Russian oligarchs; it was still the Soviet Union. The Soviet Union was on the brink of collapse, so why would they save someone who was hardly seen as a future president 40 years later.
Many simplify things when trying to explain Trump’s flirtation with Putin; I am smart enough to refrain.
I don’t think it’s compromising material either, he survived everything in the USA so what more could Putin do?
And he is the president of the USA…
It’s something else, and when history is written, I want to know what.
Perhaps your enemy’s enemy is your friend?
If you have 35-40 minutes to spare, you should listen to this, it starts 2 minutes in
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=d5T70IJ2x7o
Also available as a podcast.
I haven’t heard anyone else put it all together as well, don’t agree with everything, but if you want to understand what Trump is up to, I recommend listening.
Thank you! Good exposé from an educated person and also a Trump supporter. Also eerie at times, I must admit.
A good link that was worth watching, he was obviously a Trump supporter, but I prefer to hear it straight from the horse’s mouth rather than filtered and distorted by someone else.
I remember the uproar when Ulf Adelsohn said that he visited some SD website to see what they were writing, and the media treated him worse than if he had visited a child pornography site. Seeking information for oneself was a crime against society. Hopefully, we have come further now.
I myself watch BBC, Sky, CNN, Fox, and Al Jazeera, plus a lot of geopolitics on YouTube without being ashamed, because who should care about what I watch?
A good link that was worth seeing, he was obviously a Trump supporter, but I prefer to hear it straight from the horse’s mouth rather than filtered and distorted by someone.
I remember the uproar when Ulf Adelsohn said that he visited some SD website to see what they were writing, and the media treated him worse than if he had visited a child pornography site. Seeking information for oneself was a crime against society. Hopefully, we have come further now.

Response to Magpies and WR 👍
One needs to be able to know the difference between defending and explaining. Yes, VDH supports Trump and has written the book “the case for Trump” so he defends Trump, but also explains how Trump possibly thinks.
WD, exactly, SD is a good comparison, remember that the analyses I thought were best at explaining why SD entered the parliament, the writer was accused of racism, and the result is that SD has ~20% today.
How the heck are you supposed to win against an opponent if you can’t “steelman” their arguments?
The problem is not that Trump wants to negotiate a (bad) peace, the problem is that we probably (we’ll see on Monday) cannot offer Ukraine an alternative.

I will look at Eklund’s link when I have control over the TV again, right now it’s Disney time.
Trump is not a dictator who rules entirely independently, he is the figurehead for a group of people who aim to change society and to gain some form of personal benefit, which doesn’t always have to be financial. In that aspect, they are no different from politicians in general.
Many jump to quick conclusions regarding Trump & Co’s actions when it suits their political narrative. To understand Trump, one must let go of all preconceived notions and understand the driving force behind them and what can be done to counteract this so that both Europe and Ukraine can develop without having both Russia and the USA as their enemies.
It may very well be that something is to be reborn after some form of chaos or the enemy’s enemy, who is the enemy then? Russia, China, Europe, or is it based on the hatred towards woke or something else.
Hmmm…..I totally agree with Trump and Musk when it comes to the fight against DEI and woke in the USA. That trend has also harmed Europe, which is constantly downstream from the USA. Yes, people often talk about globalism. Away with it! But one must also be able to sort out right and wrong, and good and evil. That’s where Trump has gone wrong for some reason. Sure, Americans are isolated over on their continent and seem to have difficulty understanding the world around them. But there must be some limit somewhere.
My belief is that UA will be “positive” in words towards a settlement with the US on minerals & infrastructure.
They may reach an agreement – but if so, only with a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
All to buy time, as they know they may have six months to show the world that RU is not about to prevail – quite the opposite.
There is information suggesting that the actual support from the USA was “only” 20 billion USD per year. If that is true, then the proposed package from Europe of 20 billion EUR now appears in a different light. I might have to retract my earlier statement that it is far too little. Does anyone know?
Good YouTube clip with Jonathan Fink and the journalist and Russia expert David Satter. “Russia’s ability to carry out evil acts at our expense should not be underestimated”.

The question is whether Macron’s and Starmer’s trips to the White House are to kiss the godfather’s ring, or is it to warn that they will go full force against Moscow-land?
Macron could make a symbolic wreath-laying at the Statue of Liberty as a reminder of who has donated it and what it symbolizes.
Sweden is quietly preparing with Taurus missiles!

An interesting way to prepare in silence 🙂
Nice combo, which would be interesting to test for real…
Well done 🌟!
Awesome job no1! Big thanks! Very fun to read a bit more behind the scenes, how you deliver world-leading analyses, presumably essentially for free. Everything revolves around you every day quickly, essentially world history is being made every day? Can you evaluate Trump vs Biden up to today? Trump should probably be a bigger risk for Ukraine than Biden, even if he was cowardly/braked Ukraine?
Thank you for your kind words and yes, now it’s going crazy fast 😳

In addition, have you not tried to invite Erik here on the 14th for a guest appearance? He will probably make a guest appearance right away, with the promise of getting to smell the light beer? 😀
We have extensive plans to kidnap him and bring him here.
Substance, seems to be about subscriptions, plus they probably steal 70% of your subscriptions? .. do you have a Swish number or similar, so we can encourage continued world-leading analysis? 😀
Tip, if you spend too much time/maybe have to work more than a few hours per day 😀
..better shorter posts often/daily, than very detailed analyses infrequently, I believe most readers think the same way.
I don’t have a good overview 😀
So, a donation button on the website 👍
Yes, I have tried longer intervals but the comment field needs to be restarted daily and also on Substack it goes down incredibly. Already tested that.
But yeah, if it doesn’t work, I’ll probably try weekly posts or something, but it’s the discussions that are fun.
