Ukraine has attacked a major hub for Russian oil pipelines as well as infrastructure in Russian Belgorod.

Ukraine attacked the pump station Kaleykinoi in Tatarstan, which is a hub for Russia’s most important oil pipelines supplying large parts of the country with oil. In Belgorod, Ukraine attacked with drones causing extensive disruptions to their infrastructure. There are reports of power outages, water and heating problems, etc. An industrial area and energy facilities are also said to have been hit. There are also reports of explosions from Saratov in Engels during the night.

Russian losses

  • 970 KWIA
  • 2 Tanks
  • 6 AFVs
  • 3 Artillery systems
  • 1 Air defense system
  • 551 UAVs
  • 76 Vehicles and Fuel tanks
  • 1 Special equipment

Russian activities

Many KAB and unfortunately once again a new record when it comes to drones. The previous one was at 8,470. It shows that they can still produce enormous amounts. Now there have been days with fewer, so they have probably “saved up” some (or maybe it was due to the weather). Regardless, we hope that we will soon stop seeing more records.

  • 130 battles
  • 95 air strikes (51 drones)
  • 244 KAB
  • 8,990 suicide drones
  • 3,331 artillery attacks (including 79 from MLRS)

  1. “🇺🇦‼️ Budanov was preparing for a major war in advance, — The Guardian Despite the doubts of many politicians, intelligence recorded the expansion of the Russian agent network and prepared countermeasures. A small group of GUR officers began quiet contingency planning.
Special attention in the defense plans was paid to preventing the capture of Hostomel, which Budanov called a key element of the Russian plan. The ex-head of the GUR has repeatedly emphasized this in his public speeches.
In the end, it was the readiness of intelligence to act in conditions of uncertainty and the heroism of the defenders of Hostomel, Moshchun and Irpin that destroyed the Kremlin’s plans for a quick victory. Russia overestimated its own capabilities and faced unexpectedly strong resistance.”
  2. 🇺🇦 I am not a dictator, and I did not start a war, that’s all, — Zelenskyy commented on Trump’s accusations.

▪️Putin has already started WW3, and Ukraine is not allowing it to become global.

▪️Ukraine’s victory is not only about territory, but also about preserving people and independence.

▪️Stopping Putin today and preventing the occupation of Ukraine is a victory for the whole world, because Putin will not stop at Ukraine.

▪️Returning to the fair borders of 1991 is a victory for justice.

▪️The retreat in Donetsk will divide society, and Putin will not stop.

▪️In my opinion, he could recover in a couple of years. Where will he go next? We do not know, but the fact that he will want to continue is a fact.

▪️As presidents, we have deadlines. We want guarantees for 30 years. We need Congress. Presidents change, institutions do not.

▪️ Air defence is the most difficult issue. Partners are not yet giving licenses for us to produce Patriot systems or missiles.

▪️Ukraine needs more funding, because we do not have the same amount of weapons as Russia.

▪️Europeans can help when we transfer our army from mobilization to contracts.

▪️The Ukrainian army liberated 300 sq km of territory.

▪️The Russian contingent involved in the war against Ukraine is being reduced by 8-10 thousand people every month.

▪️Each kilometer of advance costs Russia about 157 dead soldiers.

▪️Ukraine continues to receive intelligence from European countries and the United States — at the same level as before.

▪️We would like to see the contingent closer to the front line. If Poland offered its presence in Lviv, we do not need it.

▪️Ukraine is participating in the negotiations because it supports the peace track and wants the war to end, the Russians — so as not to annoy the Americans.

▪️Zelensky has not made a decision on participation in the elections: “Everyone is afraid of destruction, division of society””

  3. “Russia attacks Ukrainian civilians every day:

▪️Zaporizhzhia A 33-year-old man was killed, another person was injured. An industrial infrastructure facility was damaged.

    ▪️Kharkiv 2 people were injured.

▪️Dnipropetrovsk region In Pavlohrad district, Russians struck a sanatorium – a man was injured.

In Nikopol district, the cities of Nikopol, Marhanets, and the Pokrovske rural settlement came under attack – a private house was damaged. In Synelnykove district, a five-story residential building and an outbuilding caught fire, and a fire station was damaged.”

  4. Ukraine is on its way to winning the war against Russia. That’s what Finland’s President Alexander Stubb says in an interview with Politiken.

He points out that Russian President Vladimir Putin has not achieved any of his goals. Among other things, Ukraine is no closer to becoming Russian than before the war, NATO has expanded, and European defense spending has skyrocketed.

    – Strategically, it has been a colossal mistake by Vladimir Putin, which neither he nor the Russians will admit for understandable reasons, says Stubb.

He also emphasizes that Russia has failed militarily and cites the past few months as an example. According to Stubb, 25,000 Russian soldiers died in December and 30,000 in January.

    – Compare that to Afghanistan, where the Soviet Union was for ten years and lost 18,000 soldiers. The Russian casualty figures are not sustainable for Russia. On the worst days, 25 Russian soldiers die for every Ukrainian soldier. The fact is that Ukraine is winning the war.

  5. Off-Topic, The stock market’s reaction to Trump’s tariffs.

“The Stockholm stock exchange starts the week with declines following the weekend’s tariff turmoil. Around 09.50 it looks like this:

    • OMXSPI: -0.4%
    • OMXS30: -0.3%

Over the weekend, Donald Trump unleashed a new wave of tariffs after the Supreme Court on Friday invalidated most of the previously imposed tariffs.

Trump is now leaning on a law that gives the president the right to impose tariffs for 150 days if the budget deficit is deemed too large.

“What will happen when the tariffs expire in 150 days is unclear, but Trump is looking for other laws that can be used to justify the tariffs,” writes SEB. …”

  6. Off-Topic, weather in the USA

“A snowstorm is moving in over the northeastern USA. Over 41 million people from Maryland to Maine are affected by weather warnings, NBC reports.

In the city of New York, several inches of snow have already fallen and since last night, there is a ban on non-essential travel on all streets, AP writes. The ban is in effect until noon on Monday, local time. Authorities fear that the storm could be one of the top ten worst in the city in 150 years.

Travel restrictions are also in place in the states of Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut, and states of emergency have been declared. Many schools are closed, and thousands of flights have been canceled across the USA.”

  7. It feels like both yesterday and like ages ago, but now it has been four years since the war started. Or minus one day if one should be precise.

  8. Kyrylo Budanov said a large prisoner exchange could take place this week and involve significant numbers. He confirmed that new negotiations may be held in Geneva on Feb. 26 to 27 and said Russia’s main demand is still Donbas. President Zelensky added that Ukraine holds about 7,000 Russian POWs.

  9. “🤯 The Russians showed the underground city of the Vostok group of troops in the Zaporizhzhia direction. Kilometer-long tunnels lead to the command post, where at a depth of 3 meters under concrete slabs there are: a fountain, a swimming pool, a sauna and its own museum.”

  10. “Fires continue to spread well into the afternoon at Russia’s key Almetyevsk pipeline complex after Ukraine’s overnight strikes. A full 1,100km from Ukraine, Russia’s air defenses are seemingly no longer effective in stopping what’s coming for the Russian oil industry.”

  11. “Chancellor Merz: Countless people have lost their lives from the Russian aggression. Entire cities have been razed to the ground. No consideration has been taken for residential areas, hospitals, schools, kindergartens. Ukrainians have endured four winters of war so far.”

  12. ❗️Polish Foreign Minister shocked by Hungary’s attitude toward Ukraine Radosław Sikorski stated that Viktor Orbán’s government is creating an atmosphere of hostility toward Kyiv, which it uses in its election campaign:

“What fundamentally shocks me is that this is happening while Ukraine is defending itself against a powerful Russian army. Hungarians used to understand what this is like. Budapest was actually occupied twice in the 20th century, once by the Red Army. I expected much greater solidarity from Hungary toward Ukraine.”

    1. The Hungarians should understand that, but Orban doesn’t want to understand, well it’s probably because he benefits the most from being in bed with Putin, and like other autocrats, he doesn’t care about anyone other than himself.

  13. Several images in the Omni article.

“Tomorrow, February 24, marks four years since Russia began the full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Millions of people have been forced to flee and thousands have been killed since then.

Lives have been shattered and families torn apart, and much of what has happened has been documented in images.

See a selection of the war through the eyes of AP photographers below.

    Warning: strong images.”

  14. Off-Topic, USA – Iran

“An American attack on Iran would be more extensive than President Donald Trump’s previous, more discreet military efforts. This is written by Brett McGurk, who has worked on security issues under several American presidents, in an analysis for CNN.

According to McGurk, three issues that were previously separate have now merged: Iran’s missile arsenal, the regime’s violent crackdown at home, and the country’s unresolved nuclear energy program. Together, they reduce the US’s room for limited actions, he writes.

“It would be about a multi-day campaign at least, and if it escalates thereafter – to also include Iran’s leadership and economic infrastructure – would depend on how Iran responds to the initial attacks.” … ”

  15. Judging by the scale of the fire at the ‘Druzhba-1’ oil pumping station in Almetyevsk, the Kaleykino station, it will continue to burn for at least a few days. Hey Orbàn, catch! 🤣”

    1. Schadenfreude is great, he has had many years to phase out the Russian oil, it’s not really sustainable to import critical raw materials through a war zone.

    1. Hospital ship to Greenland.
Will Health Minister Kennedy vaccinate the Greenlanders against scurvy? The Greenlanders have never had a vitamin C deficiency despite the lack of fruit and vegetables. Plus, darkness half the year. Wonder if the Health Minister knows why. Also wonder if Trump will still be president by summer. He seems to have completely lost control.
Perhaps it would be best to moor the hospital ship in the Potomac River next to the White House. Many in there seem to be in need of care.

          1. True! 😂

Must be a tough situation to have to defend everything Trump does no matter how foolish it is, must also not be fun to spread obvious lies either.
