I guess you are serious, but shouldn’t street lighting, 18 degrees in all municipal premises, swimming pools, pizzerias, and energy-intensive industry come before a complete blackout of an area?
Maybe you can handle a few hours, but a blackout and a restart never go flawlessly, and then it becomes significantly longer in the freezing cold winter. Then people sit with heating sources indoors instead and you get lots of carbon monoxide poisonings that never wake up.

This blog post was very straightforward and one of the better ones in the debate. If there are rolling power outages, we are probably the first with that in the Western world, right?
But if I may make a point about how the thread usually reasons that it is always the individual person’s fault for not preparing for this power shortage, then it should also be made clear that everyone in SE4 has only themselves to blame this winter if the power goes out and they freeze (did I get that right now).

Housing should reasonably come quite far down the list?
Surely the plan can’t be planned blackouts of entire areas?
Actually, as a first measure, all members of parliament who voted for the shutdown of nuclear power should be permanently disconnected from the power grid as punishment.
The fact is that if there are blackouts, planned or unplanned, we are at the same level as a country in Africa where I worked for many years. Now, nothing like that will be able to dent the grandiose self-image, but I must say it has gone quite fast straight into the wall here.
