Russian losses

The Russian losses in the war in Ukraine have been and continue to be enormous. We report daily on the losses of the last 24 hours based on the data published by the Ukrainian General Staff. The reports contain both personnel and equipment such as KWIA (Killed and Wounded In Action) losses of tanks, artillery and much more.

In addition, we also report on the Russian front activities in Ukraine, which include how many battles have been fought in the last 24 hours.

Russian losses in Ukraine over time

About once a month we deliver a more comprehensive report. Then we review the Russian losses seen in a longer perspective to see how things have changed over time and to possibly be able to analyze and identify current trends, etc. Something that we, for example, noticed as a clear trend in the late spring and summer of 2025 was that Russia’s losses of tanks and other armor drastically decreased. The exact reason is difficult to know, whether they finally started to run out of them or if it is some kind of tactical adjustment.

Recently, the sharply increasing number of drones that Russia uses is a clear trend.
