General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine conceals today’s Russian casualty figures?

It seems that the general staff has forgotten to report the previous day’s loss figures for the Russians, or they do not want to report them, or they have not received all the information, but regardless of the reason, they have not presented them yet. We will see if they show up. They do not seem to have any problems updating with other information that normally comes after the losses, otherwise one could become suspicious if something has happened to them.

Russian activities

  • 278 combat clashes (unusually high)
  • 74 air strikes
  • 179 KAB
  • 3 729 shelling (75 from MLRS)
  • 3 523 kamikaze drones

During the night, Ukraine managed to shoot down or disrupt 37 out of 69 Shaheds, among others. Unfortunately, that is just a little over half.

    1. This is incredibly exciting to follow! Will we be able to make the right decisions despite all the pressure? It would truly be a show of strength for the EU if we manage to do it.

      1. It is also exciting to observe these parties that often consider themselves freethinkers, free from the shackles of mass psychosis, yet are always so willing to fall into the clutches of Moscow’s, and now also Washington’s, leash.

  1. “Ukrainian forces destroyed a Russian forward position in eastern Hryshyne (Pokrovsk axis). Russian troops continue probing toward Hryshyne in small groups from Pokrovsk, but remain under constant fire. The area is actively defended by the 82nd Air Assault Brigade.”

  2. Trump has now declared that Venezuela is a terrorist state and is imposing a blockade that will continue until Venezuela returns all oil and all land they have stolen from the USA?!? Does anyone know which oil and especially which land areas Venezuela has stolen from the USA?

“US President Donald Trump has ordered a total blockade of all sanctioned oil tankers sailing to and from Venezuela, reports Reuters.

The announcement comes after the Trump administration seized an oil tanker off the country’s coast last week. However, it is unclear what exactly the new “blockade” entails and whether more oil tankers will be seized.

“Venezuela’s regime has been classified as an international terrorist organization […] therefore, I am deciding on a total and complete blockade,” Trump writes in a post on social media.

At the same time, the US has moved thousands of soldiers and over ten warships to the region, Reuters reports.”

  3. Off-Topic, Trump Approval Ratings

It seems that the American population is keen on the idea of the USA going to war with Venezuela, suddenly his popularity has increased, and quite noticeably at that. Now he apparently is in a better position than in the previous period.
I saw something about him planning to focus more on domestic politics now ahead of the midterm election.
He has promised support to the country’s farmers so that’s a measure that may have also influenced his popularity.
Inflation is being kept in check and interest rates have been lowered, which can certainly be seen as positive.

However, the job numbers didn’t look particularly good last time I checked, both fewer new jobs and more unemployed, but the numbers are still a bit uncertain after the government shutdown. Oil is cheap of course, and therefore gasoline as well, which is usually appreciated in the USA.

Japan’s increase in interest rates doesn’t seem to have had any direct impact on American government bonds/obligations so far.

It will be interesting to see if the upswing continues, last time he apparently peaked in early February before things went downhill again, maybe we’ll see something similar this time?

    1. Maybe because he is buying popularity 🧐

Didn’t I say that he is doing what is good for the USA?

Now there will be free money for everyone to win the midterm election, right?

      1. Don’t think you can mix up his popularity figures with what is really good for the USA.

Still don’t see any signs that he’s doing anything that’s directly good.

Lowered interest rates might not be completely wrong, as the USA needs an injection since it doesn’t seem to be taking off. Maybe it can also affect the job numbers eventually. We’ll see, maybe it’s good for the USA, but it will take time to show.

However, he (and you) are good at claiming that he’s doing what’s good for the USA. 😉

Food prices are dropping (although they are rising), tariffs are bringing in “trillions” even though it hasn’t even reached half a “trillion”. Jobs are decreasing even though according to Trump everything is absolutely perfect and he’s getting too little praise.

He lives in his own inflated reality and together with the White House they drum out the message that everything is so good. When someone points out that it’s not good, of course it’s not Trump’s fault but Biden’s! 😉

Surely there will be a lot of midterm election rhetoric coming up, he will surely increase somewhat in popularity.

One measure of how well it’s going is GDP:

GDP for the USA is estimated to be around 30.6 Trillions USD for 2025.
In 2024 it was about 29.25.
The growth for 2025 will then be around 4.6%. *)
From 2023 to 2024, the growth was ~7.5%

This is how the years before that looked like:
        U.S. GDP for 2023 was 27.721 trillion US dollars, a 6.59% increase from 2022.
        U.S. GDP for 2022 was 26.007 trillion US dollars, a 9.82% increase from 2021.
        U.S. GDP for 2021 was 23.681 trillion US dollars, a 10.9% increase from 2020.
        U.S. GDP for 2020 was 21.354 trillion US dollars, a 0.86% decline from 2019

So the growth has been between 7 to 11% during Biden’s term.
Trump’s last year in 2020, the growth was negative – 0.86%.

Under Trump, now in 2025, the growth rate has dropped to < 5% but at least it's not negative.

If he had brought in Trillions and trillions with his tariffs, it might have looked a bit different, but he believes that it’s those who export to the USA who should pay them, so it hasn’t added anything other than expanding the treasury.

When it comes to GDP, one can hardly claim that Trump has done what’s good for the USA.

*) GDP for 2024 is not yet fully established but indicates between 29.18-29.31 and GDP for 2025 is of course so far only forecasts as the year is not over yet.

  4. The Urals oil continues to decline, now almost touching the lowest level of the whole war at 49.430! (The numbers are from yesterday).

Otherwise, one would have guessed that the US dispute with Venezuela would lead to increased prices, but Venezuela has been under sanctions all along so they do not contribute much to the world’s oil production despite having some of the largest reserves. Imagine what that country could have achieved economically with a different government.

  6. It is rumored that the 76th GAAD has been significantly reduced – perhaps true?

There have been several attempts of attack and the tip of the division can handle 4-5 attacks well?

  7. 360,000 in Belarus is wrong but RU has deployed troops there.

Right now RU and Belarus are conducting some large-scale exercise, I read.

  8. You now see a fork or intersection where Ukraine has learned to fight in a drone-saturated environment in 2025 and Russia has not.

China manages the digital battlefield and it works well but less effectively against mobile units.

The US is out and Europe provides unconditional support so this time there is nothing stopping Ukraine.

    Fifth time’s the charm.

    North Korea just as bad.

    Chinese ground troops – no.

Scroll back to my posts about offensives in 2023 and read up so you are ahead.

Ukraine is a force of nature.

  9. Probably there will be violence from RU towards Europe to try to make us passive but Macron has a truce with the wife now so it won’t work
