    Continuously high KWIA according to MXT’s report above but a sharp decline in the number of Russian attacks at the same time as Ukrainian (unlocalized) support Johan’s prediction the other day that the Russian offensive will result in a hunt for Russians.

    Many soft vehicles have been taken out. I saw a YouTube clip from I think it was Denys Davydov who said that the Russians are difficult to reach on the actual front line but that UA, more or less systematically, takes out Russian vehicles behind the front line delivering ammunition and other supplies. This is done with the help of reconnaissance and attack drones.

        It’s a good question. The Russians are probably taking casualties when they attack. But it is said that these headless meat wave attacks have ceased. And it’s more about patrols taking positions inside Ukrainian-controlled territory. Otherwise, I imagine the Russians are dug in at the front. Hard to know what it looks like.

      It is RU attack paired with UA attack paired with drone death up to 100-150km behind the front.

      RU is too slow in the chain of command so this will go on for a long time.

        A day in Baltimore in the late 70s. We were there loading military jeeps for Ecuador. Some took a taxi to downtown, which surely took 45 minutes. Slum area after slum area was passed with poor and destitute people. We had seen this before in the USA but not as noticeably as in Baltimore. When Obama introduced Obamacare, at least I understood the reason. It was a much-needed reform for the less affluent in the USA. Trump has probably dismantled that reform by now, I would think. Obama faced resistance – even among groups in need of cheaper healthcare – but eventually managed to secure a majority. Whenever I read or see something about the USA, these memories always come to mind. It was humiliating for all dark-skinned and Puerto Ricans who lived there, but above all, humiliating for the USA.

          We drove from Iowa to Las Vegas through some states and some small communities looked like something out of a horror movie where you check into a motel and get eaten by the whole town.

          We saw deserts, forests, mountains, farmland, slums in just a few days.

      This is too miserable and really not what Ukraine and the rest of the world need. Trump has only two purposes with his regime, to get a Nobel Prize because Obama got one and to enrich himself and his family. He is a thief on a large scale besides all the other irregularities he is involved in through all the deals he makes that should benefit the population of the USA instead of the T family. Just think about how much that ballroom will cost, or the grand triumphal arch he wants to build…… And the country doesn’t even have sensible healthcare, vacation legislation, parental leave, etc.

        I would probably like to say that their healthcare is world-class, you have lower taxes and the money you save goes towards insurance that provides you with immediate care instead of waiting in a public queue.

        Holiday legislation is something I personally prefer to discuss with my employer without the involvement of those who have no idea about my needs. Likewise, parental leave, why should society decide how many days off I should take, can’t I decide that myself? Should society also decide what car I need?

        All “great men” surely want to leave some building work behind, look at all the French presidents, or for that matter the West Link in Gothenburg.

          The holiday legislation we have is statutory holiday of five weeks, then it is free to negotiate with the employer yourself (some agreements have better benefits). However, I don’t think that some professional groups within the labor collective will go that far, the management level in general probably has a much easier time.
          Parental leave you can largely control how and when you take it, and also the opportunity for part-time work when the children are young.
          That comment about the car…. Anyway, here in Stockholm it seems as if it has been decided that ideally no one should have a car at all…..
          Sure, you pay low taxes in the USA, and then your own insurances, but if you don’t have a well-paid job, and can’t afford all the insurances while saving for your children’s education, then I think our welfare model probably benefits the population as a whole more.
          But it’s good to have different opinions, otherwise it would be very boring.

    I don’t know if this has been shared before?

    Zelensky says that 90% of RU’s losses are due to Ukrainian drones. Zelensky himself and others have an iPad that gives them a real-time picture of the front line, for example with videos of Russian losses and how the front line is moving.

    Ukraine seems to collect an incredible amount of data that they can analyze to refine tactics. Compare that to RU where lies are a fundamental part. RU will of course learn over time, but Ukraine wants to stay one step ahead, so they must constantly correct small details and immediately detect changes in RU’s tactics.

      If we reach 90% it’s more of a slaughter and massacre than a war.

      One point – Europe doesn’t have any drone weapons yet but when we get interceptors from Ukraine at least we have a defense against one.

      -its own branch of drone weapons immune to EW.

      -its own EW that can neutralize drone weapons.

      -full capability for combined arms warfare.

      -all other capabilities like artillery, aviation, robots.

      -the world’s strongest air defense.

      -the world’s cheapest production lines for functional equipment.

      -a defense force of 1.5mnr with full work experience.

      -an enormous Special Operations Forces.

      -a security service for asymmetric warfare as cunning as Mossad.

      -ability to fight mechanized in drone-heavy battlefields.

      -high capability for mechanized warfare.

      -ability for amphibious warfare and airborne operations.

      In short, we need Ukraine more than they need us 😀

    Did Russia, China, and Iran really have it wrong?

    They had already prepared for war and the idea was that Ukraine would fall, right?

    The USA in Iran was absolutely lucky with the lack of a first strike, and the whole attempt at revolution is being handled by Israel with full asymmetric warfare.

    So in a conflict with China, would the USA excel?

    Europe and the USA have still not properly armed themselves, we do not have the raw materials, the food production, the electricity production, and we are politically messy to say the least.

    But Ukraine came in between and has given the West time to get organized, which we still have not done.

        China is probably having a HUGE internal struggle right now about whether to attack Taiwan or not.

        We had some post about it but full asymmetric warfare that overwhelms the defense is probably the only possible option. And of course, the US is busy with other things.

    Then the drone units can move on to the next one and the infantry clean up.

    Don’t be foolish to have independent drone units, they are extremely mobile with their own information gathering.

    The question is whether the Russians have understood yet what is happening or not?

    Are you a bit seasonal at home in Sweden or is there something else grabbing the attention?

    After all, it’s not so bad to be part of the journey towards our era’s global conflict and then from the sidelines witness the big bang or that the war is fought in Asia between China and the USA.

    Just the fact that the whole world is now asking Ukraine for help is completely crazy.

    Or that the Russians are attacking on horseback and the drones are buzzing above Moscow for two whole days without being shot down.

    Or that Zelensky has stopped the oil to Hungary and Slovakia, that Moldova is retaking Transnistria.

    That China’s tech platform was crap and Iran missed its chance for greatness and got great death instead.

      Great post. Ukraine was indeed a major arms manufacturer during the Soviet era. They had skilled engineers. They are building on that legacy. Absolutely incredible, especially now in a wartime situation. Ukraine is damn good.

      Yes, and a lot of people are being laid off from big companies like IKEA now, plus previously Scania. Downsizing is the name of the game. At the same time, we are informed that every third person of working age in Södertälje does not support themselves through their own work but must be supported by public funds. What does it look like in Karlstad, Emmaljunga, and Borlänge? It will be very expensive, and any tax cuts in Sweden are just out of the question. Tough times are ahead.
