Today would be a good day for France to announce that they are sending troops to Ukraine. Haven’t they promised to do so if Zelensky asks for it?
Nja, I think there was something about the Foreign Legion if Ukraine seems to be losing?
Once again, praise for the editing feature! WELL DONE! Love it.
Only alliance that is politically possible
the Baltic states are good at sending them to

A sudden increase in Russian attacks in the Kursk region. No record levels but the front section has been quiet for a few weeks at least, and the last few days around zero. Otherwise, increases across several sections, not least in and around Pokrovsk.

did you see that hamas planned a lot of terrorist attacks in Europe just in time for Christmas but that Israel gave us the addresses?

I believe that Ukraine and Europe can bring down Trump
But start with Putin! See Gabriel Landsbergis below.
Trump falls as the American public realizes they are losing their freedom, and that all the influence on the world that American economy, culture, and way of life slowly but surely disappearing.
All this because they have elected a president who despises democracy, despises human rights, despises science, despises equality, despises justice, despises the rule of law, despises everything that the USA stood for.
The first RU patrol has been inside the settlement in Lyman.
It seems like Ukraine has straightened out Kupiansk and one of their SOF units has fought there.
Siversk looks bad.
Pokrovsk looks bad.
RU has expanded in Stepnohirsk.
Huliapole looks okay despite the “rush” RU made there.
Overall – this is how UA can keep going for a while BUT Europe must start standing up here.
We need a clear GOAL!!!!!
Why a Break With Ukraine Would Be the Biggest Defeat in US History
If Ukraine walks away, the United States loses more than a partner. It loses the foundation of its power. American strength has never been based on weapons alone. What made the US a superpower was that other nations chose to align with it. Influence came from being the centre of a network of democracies that trusted Washington more than any rival.
A rupture with Ukraine would expose how fragile that network has become. Europe has already begun shifting its long term defense spending away from the US. Losing Ukraine would confirm that the United States is no longer the natural leader of the Western alliance. When partners stop depending on Washington, American power stops scaling. Its military remains large, but its reach shrinks.
The economic consequences follow immediately. Once Europe reorganizes its defense market around its own industry, American suppliers lose access to the richest democratic market in the world. Those contracts do not return. Neither does the leverage that comes from being indispensable.
The strategic cost is even clearer. Ukraine has been the most visible test of American commitment since nineteen forty five. If the US cannot hold that line, allies will conclude that Washington’s guarantees are conditional and unpredictable. They will design their own security strategies without the US at the centre. That is how superpowers lose status: partners stop believing, and the world recalculates.
Ukraine will continue fighting for survival. The United States will be left fighting for relevance. And losing that fight is far more damaging than losing any battlefield.

As it looks now, it is a risk to be allied with a USA under Trump.
Trump despises democracy, if a democracy is attacked by a dictatorship, Trump sides with the dictatorship. When the democracies realize this, they abandon the USA. When the dictatorships realize this, they invade a neighboring country.
The USA is now making a big mistake. Europe has supported the USA in playing the role of the world’s greatest power. That support is now not coming at all in the same way. For Europe, this could be positive, especially if we stop dismantling our industry and energy production.
Azerbajdzjan 🇦🇿
Russia struck the Azerbaijani embassy in Kyiv with an Iskander missile during a nighttime bombardment. Moscow called it an accident. Baku saw it as deliberate retaliation.
Azerbaijan has quietly become one of Russia’s most disruptive rivals. Reports confirm Baku sent Su-22 fighter jets to Ukraine through a covert logistics chain running through Turkey, Sudan, and Germany. The aircraft are re-labeled as humanitarian aid and shipped via routes that once carried Russian-linked arms.
Azerbaijan also broke Gazprom’s pipeline monopoly. Ukraine received its first Azerbaijani gas through the Trans-Balkan pipeline, a route Russia once dominated. The volumes are small, but the deal marks Kyiv’s first alternative source since cutting all Russian imports. Across Europe, Serbia is preparing new gas contracts with Baku as US sanctions push Gazprom out.
The Zangezur Corridor linking Azerbaijan through Armenia to Turkey is reshaping trade routes between Europe and Asia without crossing Russian territory. The project followed Azerbaijan’s offensive in Nagorno-Karabakh, which exposed Russia’s failure as a regional peacekeeper.
Azerbaijan has become the smallest state to inflict deep strategic damage on Russia – replacing Moscow’s role in Ukraine’s defense, Europe’s energy grid, and Caucasus transit networks. The embassy strike exposes Russia lashing out as its influence crumbles in its own neighborhood.

Lite som Peter den Store var inne på i gårdagens tråd:
There is a glaringly obvious message for Europe in the 28 point plan: This is the end of the end.
We have been told repeatedly and unambiguously that Ukraine’s security, and therefore Europe’s security, will be Europe’s responsibility. And now it is. Entirely.
If you are a European leader asking your team to book you on the next flight to Washington to go talk to Daddy, please don’t.
Not without a plan, not cap in hand, not humiliating us all in front of the cameras at the Oval office.
Europe is our continent, our future is decided here, not there. We aren’t poor, we have options, we can finally decide to assist Ukraine to the full extent of our very extensive capabilities, restore European dignity and defend Europe.
Or we can continue to wait for the miracle we now know is not coming.

Landsbergis is right. We cannot crawl to Trump, we can do business, but we must not be dependent on the USA anymore. Nor China. We must take care of our own defense and critical raw materials.
Europe must be as self-sufficient as possible in the critical raw materials we need, as well as in fertilizers, agricultural products, uranium for energy production, oil and gas for energy and transportation.
Consider the environment, but prioritize critical raw materials for defense and energy.
If we cannot be self-sufficient, we do business with democracies and enter partnerships on good terms with countries that have been exploited by dictatorships.
Make democracy great again.
Delegations from the USA and Ukraine are set to meet in Switzerland to negotiate peace in Ukraine, reports Reuters. Rustem Umerov, national security adviser in Ukraine, writes on X that the negotiations will be held between top officials from both countries. European allies will also be present. “We appreciate the involvement of the USA and their readiness for real talks,” the post continues. Chiefs from President Volodymyr Zelensky’s staff will participate, but it is not clear if the president himself will be present. The announcement comes as European leaders are set to convene at the G20 meeting in Johannesburg. There, efforts are being made to develop alternatives to the USA’s plan that do not involve as significant concessions for Ukraine. “Once again, Russia is pretending to want peace. But their actions never match their words,” says UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer on his way to the meeting.
Once again, Russia will not back down from any of its demands as long as they feel they have the wind in their sails. Trump has once again given them hope, while at the same time taking it away from Ukraine.
If we cannot restore hope to Ukraine, I believe this will end as Trump and Putin want. A peace of appeasement, rewarding Putin for the invasion, and asserting that the USA is on the side of dictatorships.
Europe must ensure that Ukraine gets what they need; someone had said that we can defeat Russia “if we want to.” It’s no longer a question of if we “want” to, we must. Otherwise, we send a signal to other dictatorships that democracies, after the USA has switched sides, are toothless, and we will regress to a medieval form of governance.
Russia can be defeated; Putin will never sign an agreement that requires them to back down, so Putin must go. A potential successor may declare the war as Putin’s war and retreat, it’s not certain, but it’s safer than believing Putin will back down.
Was on Facebook, the number of Putinists has exploded among the comments. Is it possible to report these. If there are real people among them, I hope the Security Service takes note.
In reality, these are our enemies and should be treated as such.
Trump has given them hope
A plan for unconditional surrender of Russia.
From a Swedish guy Peter PC Carlsson. This is how it should be.
The EU and Ukraine have secretly negotiated a 10-point peace agreement that Russia must now sign within 10 days, or the EU and the US will send all the weapons Ukraine requests.
1. Ukraine will regain all occupied territory, including Crimea. Russia must cede a one-mile buffer zone along the border with Ukraine and cede additional territory as war reparations.
2. Ukraine is offered military security guarantees from NATO and its forces will be immediately deployed around and in Ukraine.
3. Russia’s military will be limited to a maximum of 300,000 soldiers under international supervision.
4. Ukraine will be given the full right to join NATO and receive permanent NATO bases and military support from the EU and the US.
5. All frozen Russian assets will be seized and used exclusively for the reconstruction of Ukraine, under the control of the EU and Ukraine. Furthermore, war reparations will be paid by Russia for all destroyed civilian property and infrastructure.
6. Ukraine is given a fast track to EU membership, including strong military and economic support from the EU and the US.
7. Russian war crimes must be investigated by international courts and those responsible brought to justice and sentenced.
8. Free, internationally monitored elections must be held in Russia to ensure democracy and accountability.
9. An international commission led by the EU and Ukraine will monitor humanitarian issues, prisoner exchanges and family reunification.
10. A legal peace body with the EU and Ukraine will ensure compliance with the agreement and activate sanctions and military support in case of Russian violation.
This plan calls for Russian withdrawal, limited military force, accountability for war crimes and democratic reforms, while Ukraine receives powerful security guarantees and integration opportunities with the EU and the US.

In a perfect world, this would be the agreement that Putin would sign. It would solve many problems in the world.
👍 I had the idea of making a similar list but that one works well.
How dependent do you think the USA is on Ukraine to learn the 2025 year war planning? Because they surely won’t have access to that knowledge from Russia, right? That would only be if Russia wants the USA to strike China (point 29 in the program written in invisible ink?).
The peace plan has been machine-translated from Russian and almost no one on the US side knew about it before it was leaked to the media.
