At least 6 killed, including one child, and 39 injured in last night’s Russian attacks – Russian casualties and activities

At least one child has been killed and another 12 people injured in a Russian drone attack on Cherkasy, and in Dnipro, a robot attack killed 5 people and injured at least another 27, according to Kyiv Independent. Read more here and here.

Ukraine and Norway have entered into extensive military cooperation regarding drones and air defense, and shortly before that, an agreement was also reached with Germany on a large defense package of 4 billion euros. Read more at Kyiv Post.

    1. Well, but that doesn’t stop him from continuing to argue with the Pope.

“Donald Trump launches a renewed attack on Pope Leo XIV after the recent days’ conflicts.

“Can someone tell Pope Leo that Iran has killed at least 42,000 innocent, completely unarmed demonstrators in the past two months, and that it is completely unacceptable for Iran to have a nuclear weapon”.

The Pope has repeatedly criticized the US war in Iran. Donald Trump has several times recently expressed his irritation with the leader of the Catholic world.”
      https://omni.se/trump-till-ny-attack-mot-paven-helt-oacceptabelt/a/Rj5882

By the way, it was quite funny regarding the picture of Trump as Jesus. MAGA immediately stated that it was fake, that it wasn’t Trump who posted it. Later, Trump himself said that he had indeed posted the picture but that he would fire a doctor..

Which in turn sparked creativity, so now they are also making fun of that relentlessly.

    2. “Donald Trump’s feud with the pope is spreading, and seems to have now created a crack in the relationship with Italy’s Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, one of the president’s closest European allies, writes The Guardian.

The other day, Meloni called Trump’s criticism of the pope “unacceptable,” and on Tuesday the president struck back in an interview with Corriere della Sera.

      – Unacceptable? It is you who is unacceptable!

Trump was also critical of Meloni for not being “brave” enough to participate in the US’s war against Iran.

However, Meloni herself believes that the exchange of words has been given too much space.

      – When you are friends and allies […] you must also have the courage to speak up when you disagree, says Meloni to Corriere TV.”

  1. Kate from Kharkiv criticizes Vance regarding the halted support from the USA.

“Vance says that stopping funding for Ukraine is one of his proudest achievements in this administration. I’m watching this stunningly cruel speech from Ukraine, as Russia continues to kill us every day. Just today, they killed an 8-year-old boy in Cherkasy and five people in Dnipro. Dozens more were injured.

The military assistance you are so proud of stopping was used to save lives in a war Russia started and continues every day by choice, in a war that only became possible after the USA pressured Ukraine into disarming…

I do not know if Vance can fully comprehend the scale of the tragedy unfolding here: a brutal, illegal war of extermination by Russia, and the slow abandonment by our allies. There is nothing to be proud of. Absolutely nothing.”

    Post with video of Vance:

Tendar does the same with Trump:

“Trump last night: ‘We are helping NATO with Ukraine, so NATO should help the US to keep the Strait of Hormuz open.’

This is a lie. Trump suspended all help to Ukraine with his inauguration. Not a single cent is going to Ukraine. European countries are buying US weapons. This is not helping, this purchasing. When I buy my goods in a store, then the store is not ‘helping’, it is making business.

Trump threatened allies around the globe with invasion and denigrated them at every step, including fallen soldiers in Afghanistan. Putin, on the other hand, got a pass, received a warm welcome in Alaska, and even got sanctions lifted. Those are the facts.”

    https://x.com/Tendar/status/2033471122646221023

The bars look a bit strange because they refer to when the decisions on the support were made, not when they actually reached Ukraine. Biden tried to send as much as possible before he resigned, and therefore the bar at the end of 2024 is very high even though much of the support did not arrive until later in 2025.

  2. Several European NATO members, including Sweden, are preparing through unofficial talks for a “European NATO” to come into effect if the USA withdraws from the military alliance. This is reported by the Wall Street Journal.

This includes, among other things, already involving more Europeans in leading positions within the cooperation and reducing dependence on American weapons and other equipment.

According to WSJ, Germany, which previously opposed the French stance that Europe needs to stand on its own feet, has recently changed course and thereby opened up for broader discussions about NATO’s European future.

“We are preparing and having informal talks with a group of like-minded allies, and will contribute to filling the void within NATO when needed,” says Sweden’s Ambassador to Germany, Veronika Wand-Danielsson, to the newspaper.

Donald Trump has repeatedly threatened to withdraw from NATO.

“NATO was not there for us, and will not be there for us in the future,” he wrote on Truth Social on Wednesday morning, Swedish time.

  3. Iran

“The war in Iran is “very soon over,” says Donald Trump in an interview with Fox News. At the same time, the president seems to be threatening with new attacks if Iran’s regime does not comply with US demands.

“If we left now, it would take them 20 years to rebuild the country, and we are not done. We’ll see what happens. I think they very much want to make a deal.”

On Tuesday evening, Swedish time, Vice President JD Vance announced that negotiations between the US and Iran are continuing. A stumbling block is said to be the enrichment of uranium. According to sources to several media outlets, the US is demanding that Iran promise to pause enrichment for 20 years. Iran is said to have offered a five-year pause.”

      Poor chickens!

“1,500 chickens were lost on E20 last night – road closed

During the night, E20 between Skara and Götene has been closed due to up to 1,500 chickens on the road, reports Göteborgs-Posten. The police arrived at the scene around 4 o’clock and their theory is that the animals fell off some form of transport. The operation lasted for several hours.

      – There has probably been quite a bit of chasing, says police spokesperson Johan Håkansson.

Police and rescue services have together tried to clear the road from animals. There is no suspect, but the police believe they know which companies are involved.”

        1. The police may have seen wrong in the darkness. Perhaps it was a Tupperware transport with salespeople on their way to Ullared? 🐓🐔🐣

  4. We need a discussion MXT about transferring our comments from the other blog from the start of the war.

    I started a week before, I think.

Step two is a sensible search function here so that you can easily find the posts (or maybe I haven’t learned…).

The reason it should be discussed here is that it will be working hours for you, so if we can get two months’ worth of Swish payments from those who see the value in it, maybe it would work?

Having a complete historical archive would be valuable, and you have been thinking about it.

I like Google’s AI summary, wouldn’t be a bad idea either because it’s difficult to navigate since we have 4 years now – can you afford to spend a million on it?

I guess we’ll have to run a campaign in the future?

At some point, the story will be written, and the amount of polishing and omission and pure historical revision seems to be standard – then we have a historical archive that there aren’t many of.

      1. Don’t know if you’re still upset about the breakdance scoop or the crocheted tie… MXT has mentioned this a few times in the thread so nothing new?

Now, I’m not a copyright expert but surely one must be allowed to highlight their own comments?

Can you clarify how you plan to sue me over this so I have a chance not to shake behind bars?

  5. It’s important to keep up with the change now, many companies that are too slow will get burned and new ones will get the chance.

I have really gotten hooked on Angola, will try to make Swedish companies understand why the Portuguese prefer to go there rather than being in Portugal. Endless opportunities down to a good restaurant chef.

  6. Thank you 205 for the comet response.

I have prepared the signs for when the aliens come, but I guess I’ll have to wait a little longer 😐

  7. The old man stopped chicken thefts in the 19th century, according to his own account, so around 1930 he stopped the extra hustle.

But yes, in the mid-19th century he started with herring thefts, which then became surströmming when he managed to sell completely spoiled herring after forgetting the cart in the backyard for two weeks – a new national dish.

  8. Bohlin is holding a press conference about the growing cyber threats. Pro-Russian attack on a thermal power plant in 2025.
Broadcasted live on SVT so it should be available on demand to watch.

    1. “In spring 2025, a pro-Russian activist group attempted a cyber attack on a heating plant in western Sweden. Carl-Oskar Bohlin (M), Minister for Civil Defence, said at a press conference on Wednesday that the attack failed and that the Security Service has handled the matter.

The group, identified by Swedish authorities, has connections to the Russian security service.

      – Fortunately, no serious consequences occurred due to built-in protective mechanisms, he said.

The incident is seen as evidence that Russia has a changed approach when it comes to cyber attacks against Sweden and Europe.”
      https://omni.se/svenskt-varmeverk-utsattes-for-ryskt-angreppsforsok/a/16o8VG

      1. So it happened as we expected and also what we wrote that Europe’s governments are keeping quiet now.

Some have come forward but probably only the tip of the iceberg?

    2. “Russia has changed cyber tactics against Sweden and Europe recently. Pro-Russian individuals and groups have shifted from conducting overload attacks to engaging in ‘destructive cyberattacks,’ says Carl-Oskar Bohlin, Minister for Civil Defense, at a press conference.

According to Bohlin, the Russian cyberattacks against Sweden often aim to affect critical societal so-called OT systems.

      – If such systems are disrupted, destroyed, or remotely controlled by an aggressor, it can have serious consequences.

At the press conference, the minister also states that a Swedish power plant in the western parts of the country was subjected to a pro-Russian cyberattack attempt during the spring of 2025.”

  9. Read through yesterday’s post, and I can only agree that the other blog’s attitude towards our political parties and the idea that voting for, for example, the Moderate Party means playing into the hands of the Kremlin is quite bold. The problem today is probably that if you want to avoid fringe parties in any position of power, there is likely no party to vote for, it seems. We’ll have to see how it looks closer to the election, but Uffe has already committed to the Sweden Democrats in government after the election if it goes their way. Magda refuses to give any indication of potential collaborations until after the election. Perhaps it’s a wiser strategy that provides more flexibility, but also more uncertainty for the voters. Nowadays, Social Democrats and Moderates are quite similar in many areas, so they might form a government together…
    Back to the other blog:
There are several writers there who were very interesting to read (not referring to Ben Dover) who have left and unfortunately not shown up here. I think it will be difficult to attract Erik, Perra, and others, but maybe they could be enticed to make guest appearances here?

    1. I think the second blog would benefit a lot from being split into two. One for supporting Ukraine and one for hating on the Sweden Democrats.

      1. I think Uffe has been good and I don’t understand why he’s not gaining in the opinion polls. His defense minister is even better. (I also liked Hultqvist.) The appointment of Landerholm turned out to be wrong, but even I thought it was a good choice at the time. However, I consider the appointment of Maria Malmer Stenergard as foreign minister to be wrong. She’s doing her best, but she’s far too inexperienced in these times of war breaking out everywhere. This position required someone with much more experience. As for me, you can vote for whichever party you want – just make sure you vote.

      2. Maybe we can move the Ukraine debate here and let them continue to argue about the Sweden Democrats and other irrelevant things there?

      3. johanno.1337

There are already different posts as a rule. SD could incidentally become more reliable regarding Russia so they avoid problems related to the Ukraine threads.

      1. Unfortunately, the left wing in the Social Democrats is stronger than the old grass-roots one that Magdalena represents, so it will not be without the party splitting.

Today, Tidölaget is pursuing the politics that the Social Democrats had until around 1990.

          1. Yes, one remembers that… It was the company Laval that was under blockade and the slogan from the union was “latvia go home”…. and now we have a battalion permanently stationed there……

      2. And which of the party leaders would let the other become prime minister? Who should we choose in the next election if they do a bad job?
No, I don’t believe in that solution when it comes to national politics.

  10. Off-Topic, USA seems to rot from within

Proud Boys is a racist weight-power movement and Oath Keepers is an anti-government extremist militia movement. Of course, they must be acquitted, they are on Trump’s side! 🤬🤮

He still had the sense to exempt them even though no one should have been pardoned, but I guess he doesn’t intend to stop this.

“Federal prosecutors have begun the process of having the final judgments for the storming of the Capitol on January 6, 2021, dismissed, reports the Washington Post.

There are twelve judgments against members of the far-right groups Oath Keepers and Proud Boys that the Trump-loyal prosecutor Jeanine Pirro has requested to be overturned. According to the Washington Post, it is likely that she will get her way.

Donald Trump pardoned 1,500 people last January who had been convicted of involvement in the storming, but then excluded members of these two groups. However, they have had their sentences dismissed.”

  11. Europe is quietly building a backup plan for NATO without the US, according to the Wall Street Journal. The framework includes transferring key command roles to Europeans, replacing American military capacity, and expanding France’s nuclear umbrella across the continent.

  12. “The Swedish Armed Forces need to take greater risks if Sweden’s defense is to be expanded. That’s what the agency’s new director-general Christina Malm says in an interview with Altinget.

    – We have high expectations from the political leadership that this must happen even faster than it does now, she says.

New ways of working, new technical solutions, and new ways of thinking are three ways this will happen. She also opens up to using artificial intelligence in this process, even though there may be risks involved.”

      1. Yes, that’s how it should be. Hard to believe that they dare to get rid of all the drones they have, and if they can donate 120,000 units, they must have more and also know that they can produce.

  13. Previously, Russian Urals oil was trading 5-15% below Crude and Brent. After the Iran war started, it suddenly became about the same amount more expensive instead. Russia is now getting paid twice as much as before.

    Urals oil ~117 Crude/WTI ~92 Brent ~96.

    1. Norway is satisfied, or however it was, they previously complained about inflation..

“Norwegian crude oil exports reached record levels during the month of March, as the Iran war drove up oil prices. This is evident from an update from the statistics agency SSB.

      – The closure of the Strait of Hormuz has led to a significant supply shock in the oil market, which contributed to the high oil prices in March and thus the highest export value ever, says analyst Jan Olav Rørhus.

The value of exports surged to 57.4 billion Norwegian kroner in March – almost 70 percent higher than the corresponding period last year.”
      https://omni.se/irankriget-gav-oljerekord-i-norge-hogsta-nagonsin/a/lnKLyG

      1. I haven’t seen anything about it, but I guess it’s so simple because they can do it now when there is a shortage of oil.

Previously, they were happy if there were any buyers, now the buyers will be happy if they get anything. Then it may be related to the fact that they still have a bit of difficulty in getting the oil out, so it is also reflected in the price.

Now it’s probably not possible to get hold of credible information, but it would have been interesting to see if they could also increase deliveries or if they just raised prices. Ukraine has done what they could to stop them.

Time for them to attack a few refineries and ports again, it’s been several days now.. 😄

      2. I did some snooping around and found an explanation that sounds reasonable.

There are different qualities of oils and refineries are often optimized for a certain type. Russian oil has a similar composition to the oil in the Middle East, which is currently in short supply.

Refineries then try to primarily replace the oil from the Middle East with similar oil and therefore are happy to buy from Russia even if it is more expensive.

  14. Bought a product from CDON as it was the most reasonable there, one thinks of some kind of stock and fast delivery like one is used to.

It takes two weeks and all the contact one can get is with an AI email, it seems like the item is in some third country and CDON is just a front that pockets the difference. I want to try to get express delivery at a cost – impossible.

It’s not very difficult to understand why Amazon is gaining market share when the competition looks like this, where they have next-day delivery and pretty good prices.

The problem with Amazon is probably that one doesn’t have a guarantee against counterfeit copies maybe but maybe one doesn’t need to buy the cheapest bargain price?

    1. When it comes to CDON, it seems to entirely depend on the product and who is actually selling it. Some things work perfectly fine, and when it comes to others, you might as well use ALI Baba (because it’s from China anyway). Amazon is pretty much just China as well.

By the way, it’s crazy how much is manufactured in China if you bother to check the country of origin.

Perhaps a solution would be if the EU demanded even clearer origin labeling with a prominent flag on the packaging to simplify active choices.

  15. Edit, adding theme/title: THE IRAN WAR

    Aimen Dean on X:

“I genuinely don’t know whether to laugh or lose my mind anymore at this European hypocritical double standards.

When it comes to Vladimir Putin, suddenly it’s Churchillian resolve. No compromise. No dialogue. Arm Ukraine to the teeth, sanction everything that moves, wreck your own energy security if necessary – because tyranny must be confronted.

Fine. I actually respect the consistency of that … in isolation.

But then you turn around and lecture us – us – the Gulf monarchies, Jordan and Israel, about showing restraint with Tehran? About dialogue? About coexistence?

    Are you serious?

For forty years – forty bloody years – this regime has been waging a shadow war across the region. Militias, proxies, sleeper cells, terror networks, destabilizing entire countries – Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen – and threatening the Gulf monarchies, Jordan, and Israel nonstop.

This isn’t theoretical. This isn’t abstract. This is lived reality.

And yet here come Emmanuel Macron, Keir Starmer, and the rest of the European choir, gently advising us to calm down, de-escalate, and – what was it again? – “give diplomacy a chance.”

Diplomacy with who, exactly? With a system that has built its entire regional strategy on plausible deniability and proxy terror violence?

You were willing to absorb inflation, energy shocks, and political backlash at home to confront Moscow. You made that choice. You said: this is the price of standing up to a tyrant.

So don’t come here and tell us – after decades of being on the receiving end – that we should just sit down, smile politely, and “coexist.”

Either you believe in confronting tyranny everywhere .. or you don’t.

Macron, Starmer, rest of EU leaders and top bureaucrats should just STFU and spare us the self righteous sanctimonious lectures!”

    1. If Israel and the USA had handled it well, it would have been over – now the militias entered Iran and China has brought in capability.

Why they missed the window, we will continue to guess, but the laws of war also apply to Israel and they chose war with Iran.

Then Israel chose to combat Iran’s oil infrastructure with the USA with an ulterior motive and THAT is probably a big reason for the aversion?

    2. Surely Iran has not been a very friendly neighbor, just like Russia before they outright invaded Ukraine, but it was only when they did that they took Ukraine’s side.

If Iran had attacked a neighboring country and tried to occupy it, it would have been a completely different matter.

Otherwise, that’s typical Whataboutism, so then it must be OK to respond with that (not to you of course but to the one who wrote it).

Israel engages in illegal occupation in the West Bank and constantly expands its settlements in Palestinian territory. Last week, Israeli settlers killed a 21-year-old Palestinian.
Additionally, they killed (and they admitted it themselves later) around 70,000 Palestinians in retaliation for 1,200 killed Israelis, and they have leveled large parts of homes to the ground.
Just now, they gave the go-ahead for another 30 or so illegal settlements.

Israel is not behaving particularly nicely, so maybe we should start a war against them too?

      1. Just those new settlements are also surprising – their focus on security seems to have gone down the drain.

and yes, Israel went hard in Gaza beyond what we considered proportional.

      2. In Gaza, I constantly argued that Hamas thought it was better for Israel to run over than to release the hostages. When the hostages were released, it calmed down. Hamas had a choice all along.

I think Israel should get shit for the settlements.

I believe Aimen Dean grew up in Saudi, with a mother from Lebanon. He became a jihadist but later a double agent for MI6 when he was a bomb maker for AlQaida. He now lives in Dubai and runs a security company advising various (including political) bigwigs in the region.

        1. Elan Tedronai

I agree 100%. I am surprised that Israel was able to carry out its operation with so few deaths. Even though some tried to portray it as ethnic cleansing.

        2. Yes, Hamas knew what they were doing, the Palestinian people are just expendable to them, their primary goal is the eradication of Israel, and secondly a Palestinian state.

    3. Flurrevuppen

The analogy would have worked a bit better if it had been Ukraine, with the help of the larger European powers, that had carried out “preventive” attacks against the Kremlin to take out the Russian leadership… but that’s not what happened…

    1. In any case, I will investigate it further, but I don’t have time for it in the coming weeks. They are still there, so there is hardly any rush either.

Also, I haven’t received any bribe from you either? 😂

      1. I’m trying to kick off a Swish campaign in 1-2 months so that you can actually do this, I know it’s work.

Thought we’d discuss the scope of it in the thread and then see if there’s a willingness?

    1. I can imagine that it’s Johan who in the morning is thinking about what he’s going to do during the day.
      – move to Angola?
      – change jobs and go to Kuwait. No… they have competency requirements.
      – skip work and go to the monkey bar?
      – etc.

  16. MXT what if you could have an AI that provides the link and summarizes the questions you ask on this page.

Like a search function, the one on Google is awesome.

Not now but when it becomes archived.

When I have to search here or on cornu, it’s too difficult, having that edge makes it super easy to quickly bring up counterarguments without needing to write freely from memory.

    1. It will probably be quite expensive if we were to run it through an API like we do with the translations.
There, the text to be translated is sent in and then you receive the response.
If you want a response based on all posts, they would need to be sent in, but it would be too much if we’re talking about a couple of thousand posts.

Then you would almost have to send one page at a time, ask AI to create an indexed summary, and then proceed from there. So, it won’t be completely comprehensive and it will be very expensive.

It would be better to set up a local AI to avoid ongoing costs, but then you would need pretty good hardware for it to be somewhat fast. Either a fairly powerful graphics card for 15 – 40,000 SEK, a newer Mac also works, but even better a separate AI box from Nvidia, a Spark DGX costs around 55-58,000 SEK. (https://www.inet.se/produkt/5415606/nvidia-dgx-spark-128gb-4tb)

If you sponsor the latter, I promise to provide an excellent AI-based search function! 😄

        1. The time I spend searching is a lot.

But yes, we can probably find a way if the thread starts to figure it out.

That got a bit too expensive 😅

        2. No, no, there is no need for AI at all, really.

However, if one wants AI to access the material and be able to provide thoughtful answers to questions about it, that’s a whole different story.

There’s no need to go as far as training an AI on it either (training properly is much more demanding than one might think, if nothing else to prepare the material correctly and also weight, etc.) but on the other hand, the material needs to be indexed in a smart way, summarized, etc. in a database so that AI can quickly find relevant content and present correct answers.

Another option is to simply build a well-indexed database with keywords, etc. and then use AI, but then basically ignore AI when searching.

      1. Can’t you build an AI so we can avoid those costs?

There are plenty out there that have been built now so you should be able to put something together over a long weekend from scratch, right?

        Call it No.1 AI?

It must be the best in the world as Dengamle says, minimum requirement 👍

        1. Then it’s easier to let you sit and search! 😂

By the way, AI was just a bubble, not sure if I want to get into it, but of course, you invest heavily so it’s your money that goes up in smoke? 😂

    2. Since the old man has plenty of time, can’t he become a human-like AI that receives a question and then searches among seven thousand pages to provide a summary?

Photo evidence: Here, Jas planes are practicing – together with the Chinese Air Force

8 hours ago — The Chinese Air Force has been practicing with Thailand’s JAS planes for several years. The latest exercise took place in September 2025 – less than a month…

    svd
      1. Thailand has C/D. Still not E/F which is a significantly sharper aircraft. But it’s no stranger than if Ukraine had Gripen C at its disposal and these met Russian aircraft in combat. Moreover, the J20 falls short in these exercises.
As for Hungary, I believe in the Hungarian Air Force. They have had good cooperation with the Swedish defense/FMV and Saab. In addition, they are satisfied and will order more. They are still leasing the aircraft but will take over them in 2026.

  18. Robots took over Russian position – could be historic

WorldUkraine claims to have taken an “enemy position” solely with the help of robot systems – unmanned ground vehicles and drones. It may be the first time ever in a war.
    – I have not heard of it being done before, says Lars Forssell at the Swedish Defence Research Agency (FOI).

Ukraine has the full right to defend itself against Russian aggression and cannot be forced to cede territory, Hungary’s election winner, Peter Magyar, said on April 13 in response to a question from a Kyiv Independent reporter.

    1. The new leader of Iran has the trust of the USA. It’s not about the son. It has also been noted that agreements have been followed up by actions. Also has credibility in Iran. France and several European countries may independently monitor the strait regardless of the USA. Trump does not want to promise anything but views the negotiations with the Iranians positively, where they have difficulty communicating internally due to disrupted communication.

Trump discusses Iran in the shadow of Airforce One with CNN and News Max.

      1. The interview was three weeks ago, but it’s pretty much the same as what Trump is saying today, if one is to be a bit critical of the sources, right?

    2. Europe is preparing a plan to reopen the Strait of Hormuz after the war ends, led by Macron and the U.K., but without U.S. involvement.

The idea is to form an international, defensive mission that excludes countries directly involved in the conflict—like the U.S., Israel, and Iran—so it is more acceptable, particularly to Tehran.

      1. How long did Trump manage to block the strait? One day. He was even going to sweep the strait with missile destroyers. Until someone informed him that other ships are required. It’s better if the US Navy goes home and celebrates their heroic victory, and then Europe can go there and clean up the strait after him. We’ll know more on Friday.

  20. I know I’m a bit emotional about barbecue chips and Mariestad, but I feel like the good is about to prevail.

This is probably how the knights felt in Malta ✊✊😡💥

    1. It is marking on the map behind the front line, i.e. negative Russian advancement. Posted on X (formerly Twitter) by David D’s sidekick Prof Bonk. Who follows my account.

  21. Russian refinery attacked – 150 miles from the border

An oil refinery in the Russian republic of Bashkortostan has been attacked by Ukrainian drones, according to the head of Ukraine’s unmanned forces.

According to Ukrainian Pravda, the refinery is located 150 miles from the Ukrainian border.

The extent of the damage caused by the attack is currently unknown.

  22. Theiner:
Sunday Meloni saw what Trump/Vance did to Orban.

Monday Meloni made sure Trump/Vance won’t do the same to her by lightly criticizing Trump.

Tuesday Trump threw her under the bus.

    Re-election secured.

    1. Hah, yeah, you only lose by being friends with that gang.

And Trump is very easily provoked and long-suffering, so it will probably last through the election period.

  23. Europe is just stupid for not helping, they have only themselves to blame, lucky for us that Trump loves China and wants to butter them up, so the strait can be opened!

“China is very happy that I am permanently opening the Strait of Hormuz. I am doing it for them,” writes President Donald Trump in a post on his own social media platform. He also promises that the current situation will never be repeated. The president also expects a “big, fat hug” from China’s President Xi Jinping as thanks. The post comes after he also claimed that the war is approaching an end.”

    1. Fantastic, there was no long blockade before he tacoed again. Maybe the blockade didn’t affect the stock market negatively enough, so it wasn’t a buying opportunity. Now he’s trying to raise it further by promising it won’t happen again.

Hm, I wonder what Xi said to him? And what is Iran doing?

    2. A not insignificant part of the message is missing: “They have agreed not to send weapons to Iran.”

In the following context: “I am doing it for them, also – And the World. This situation will never happen again. They have agreed not to send weapons to Iran.

“This situation will never happen again.” Is the USA announcing a permanent presence in Hormuz? Just as Europe has declared intentions to muster a fleet and secure the strait. Or is this the initiative Trump is pointing to? Or is it pure nonsense?

  24. USA is convinced that Donald Trump’s blockade of Iranian ports will pressure the regime in Tehran into an agreement, sources tell Axios. One of them says that the US move is having an effect on the country, which exports oil worth more than one billion kronor daily.

“Iran has no money. They are broke. We know it, and they know that we know it,” the source says.

According to the site’s information, progress is being made in efforts to reach an extended ceasefire. This is confirmed by a source in the mediating country Pakistan.
