Unfortunately, I have to inform you that there will no longer be any more yellow walls from Johan No.1 in the future, and from now on, you will have to settle for the loss reports.

Johan has received an incredibly lucrative offer that he couldn’t refuse but that is incompatible with writing here on the blog.
He has been hired by the Russian Navy for a major long-term project to dredge at the Olenya Bay in Murmansk. Apparently, the situation is so bad today that the submarines can’t even get out of the naval base anymore.

We thank Johan No.1 for the time that has passed, if any reader feels they have the capacity to take over the work of writing long analyses about the situation in Ukraine, praising Trump’s domestic policy, and perhaps above all, criticizing the Green Party, you are welcome to get in touch!
We prefer to receive your application within a month from today’s date, which incidentally is April 1st.

SLAVA UKRAINI!

  1. Lovely automatic translation, “dropped 169 aircrafts” 😂
AFU: “In total, 216 combat clashes were recorded during the past day.
Yesterday, the enemy launched two missiles and 99 aviation strikes at the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements, engaged three missiles and dropped 169 aircrafts. In addition, he carried out more than 5,200 shells, 124 of which were from reactive fire systems, and used 2,223 kamikaze drones for strikes.”

  3. “The Ukrainian Air Force attacked a Russian underground post. Considering that this type of rather sophisticated fortifications are intended for high-ranking officials and not for ordinary soldiers, it is safe to assume that some high-ranking Russian was inside when this exploded. Impressive.”

  4. “The Netherlands will allocate €2.2B to Ukraine in 2025, announced Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans. The aid includes €500M for UAV development/production, strengthening air defenses, artillery/ammo, equipment maintenance, and training/education for Ukrainian troops.”

  5. “In the Lyman direction, Russian forces have advanced northwest of Terny on the western side of the Zherebets river towards Nove and Katerynivka. Heavy fighting is ongoing. It has also been observed that the Russians have resumed using mechanized attacks again.”

“Kurakhove direction. Russian forces have raised their flag in Rozlyv, south of Kostiantynopil. Heavy fighting is ongoing. The situation in Kostiantynopil in terms of control is unclear at the moment, but it is definitely in a completely gray area and partially under Russian control.”

  6. “Trump: Putin will keep his end of a ceasefire deal in Ukraine “I want to make sure he follows through. I think he’ll do what he told me, and now he’ll keep his part of the deal,” Trump said. He added that he’s ready to increase economic pressure on Russia if needed.”

  7. Funny invitation to take over after Johan who apparently is going to start working in Russia. Damn it. The requirement is to praise Trump’s domestic policy and criticize the Green Party. We’ll see if anyone feels inclined. MatsEx and 205 will have to hold the fort for now.

        1. April Fools’ jokes are not as common today (people get offended so easily nowadays) so it’s easy to miss.
The blue and yellow car post above about only buying a Rolls Royce was really funny in my opinion!

          1. As the world situation and politics are, the tradition of April Fools’ jokes has been undermined.

April Fools’ jokes are available in the media 365 days a year.

    1. Thank you, and thank you for all the posts!

I heard about an ongoing theft wave here in Sweden, many stores affected. The thieves have apparently only targeted Mariestad, barbecue chips and ranch dip. I’m pretty sure it’s Russians who are stocking up. Free access to just that was one of Johan No.1’s employment requirements, rum he would apparently make sure to bring himself. 😄

  9. China steps in and wants to be the adult in the room!

“The road to peace is still long,” – Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi
    âžĄïž The positions of the parties on key issues differ greatly;
    âžĄïž China advocates for eradicating the causes of the Ukrainian crisis;
âžĄïž A peace agreement must be binding, fair and acceptable to all parties;”

    1. I believe China is troubled by the war in the same way as the USA. Between a rock and a hard place, I think China may have opinions on, for example, the Russians’ terror bombings of Ukraine. “Enough is enough” – kind of.

      1. I also believe that China would prefer to see an end to it. Even though they have benefited from buying cheap oil and have been able to replace several companies from the West that have left Russia, it has probably had a negative impact on their economy overall.

“When the Swedish journalist Joakim Medin was arrested in Turkey, several of his rights were violated. This is according to the Turkish press freedom lawyer Veysel Ok to TV4 News.
    – The police have tried to talk to him without an interpreter. They have used Google Translate, so he has not been able to defend himself,” he says.”

  17. “Ursula von der Leyen made a number of statements about the “trade war” against the US:

â–ȘThe EU has all the necessary tools to protect itself from new US tariffs.

â–ȘThe EU expects that the next sectors to be hit by US tariffs will be semiconductors, pharmaceuticals, and timber.

In response to new US tariffs, the EU will develop its internal market and relations with other partners.

â–ȘThe EU does not want to take retaliatory trade measures against the US, but has such a plan in case of need.”

  20. Not quite what the defense forces need, on the other hand, it wouldn’t be right either to let the municipality take care of the cleanup.

“The Supreme Court does not address the PFAS contamination in Uppsala, which means that the Defense Forces are forced to pay 37 million in damages. This is reported by SVT News Uppsala. The municipal water company sued the Defense Forces for the use of environmentally hazardous firefighting foam at an airfield. The damages correspond to the cost of cleaning up the contamination.”

    1. Westley Richard

There was a municipal manager who thought they should celebrate this. Considering that Uppsala municipality has a turnover of 15.6 billion and that 2.9% = about 450 million is spent on the municipality’s management, they probably celebrate quite often, maybe every other day.

  23. That China, Japan, and South Korea have joined forces to respond to the US tariffs is absolutely huge.

If you sit down and calculate, you’ll soon realize that the only ones who haven’t received any tariffs or other threats from Trump are Russia đŸ€Ł

Instead, they usually receive appreciation from Trump.

Considering his plans to plunder Ukraine – wouldn’t Russia have been better off as a raw material colony?

Is there any form of automatic updating of the page?

Often I don’t have time to paste quotes and links before my intended post disappears?

    Maybe I’m doing something wrong?

    1. No, it shouldn’t be like that (as far as I know). Are you saying that you click into the text editor, write some text, then you go to copy some more, and when you then try to paste it, it has already posted?

I just tested it myself by waiting, switching between a few tabs. I copied and pasted some text and then deleted it again.

Something similar has happened to me a few times on Cornu, but I suspected that I accidentally triggered something.

      1. Westley Richard

The text editor sometimes disappears when I switch between different tabs to copy different pieces or links.
It has happened several times, but it might be my connection acting up.

        1. Ok, so it disappears completely, that was weird.
No idea what it could be due to.

North Korean forces have sustained heavy casualties in support of Russia’s military operations in Ukraine, with over 5,000 troops reported killed or injured in the Kursk region, according to UK Defense Intelligence on March 28.

The losses represent nearly half of the alleged 11,000 DPRK troops initially deployed, with casualties primarily resulting from large, attritional ground assaults.

    https://united24media.com/latest-news/over-5000-casualties-for-north-korean-forces-in-kursk-says-uk-defense-intelligence-7240

They probably only bought a one-way ticket for the North Koreans.

NK probably doesn’t want them back to tell about how the world outside looks like.

Citizens’ initiative to leave the Ottawa Treaty has received over 50,000 signatures.

Diplomats, politicians, and a former commander of the Armed Forces are behind the initiative.
There has obviously been broad popular support for the decision.

Did you know that Russia has 83 federal subjects (oblasts, autonomous republics)? Out of these 83 federal subjects, only 5 have a higher GDP than Latvia. For example, the Pskov Region has a GDP of $2 billion. Latvia’s GDP is $42 billion.

Not easy to accidentally shoot oneself with a shotgun, a shot in the foot is possible, a shot right in the chest is almost impossible unless you have arms like an orangutan. We have probably all seen a movie where someone is supposed to shoot themselves in the head, it requires some acrobatics.

Hardly he himself who held the gun.

  28. Where to drive an Al Capone against Le Pen good or bad?

The Romanian was caught red-handed and in Moldova it was also pretty clear who was pulling the strings?

Is there a risk that this will give Le Pen’s party greater popularity?

Was the judge a Russian influence operation?

If there had been any Russian connection, one would reasonably have gone for it, right?

    1. Westley Richard

It feels a bit strange that a judge can impose a penalty that you are not allowed to run for election. At the same time, I believe that individuals sentenced to prison should not be allowed to run for election and that this should be regulated by law. The person should not be allowed to run for election for x times the number of years they have been sentenced to prison.

Also, it’s a bit comical that Musk is coming to her defense considering that one of DOGE’s tasks is to prevent waste/squandering of tax money, which she has been convicted for, and that American citizens who are convicted to prison don’t even get to vote.

I have no idea if there is any Russian influence on the judge, but in a country with 300 different types of cheese, there are enough internal contradictions without the Russians needing to intervene.

  29. I accept the challenge above to continue writing about MPs’ ravages – you will not be surprised to learn in the future that they were behind the ban on landmines and cluster ammunition. You know, those things the Russians have had in abundance that have been shown to kill Ukrainians in large numbers, and that we couldn’t send to them because we have nothing left.

I still believe that the USA does what is best for the USA (which affects us and Ukraine, among others) but we’ll see, I have very strong suspicions that they are trying to get the EU into a financial crisis 😀

    1. Westley Richard

You probably need to hurry up and write something as the Green Party has started to revise its policies. Suddenly, they think that the blending obligation was a bad decision that they do not want to use to raise fuel prices. Instead, now the industry should be taxed to death, society already has everything it needs, now it just needs to circulate among the population.

      1. Well, the Green Party is looking forward to the introduction of emission rights on fuel, so it’s the same thing but worse. Additionally, “they” have managed to get the EU on board. – There has been very little said about this in the media, but as we all know, it doesn’t affect those living in Södermalm.

We will soon (I think everything is settled until 2027, but I could be wrong) wish to go back to “just” the reduction obligation. – My guess is that the oil companies will “voluntarily” “significantly reduce” to lower emissions (and thus the price) of fuel in the future. It’s like the obligation is just gone. Instead, it will be said that it is done for “business reasons” and through “market forces”…

The sale of electric cars is probably expected to have a sudden upswing, to the delight of the Chinese, just about when the German car industry has shut down.

        1. Westley Richard

Hopefully there is someone sensible in the EU who can put a stop to the madness. In many countries, the green movement does not have a pivotal role. It is also the case that something that also affects our closest trading partners does not hit as hard as if we were to implement it alone.

    2. The US has nothing to gain from a crisis in Europe, on the contrary. Fear that there will be a mix between the goal of an action and a side effect (as it is called in modern Swedish) of the action.
