Tonight at 9:30 PM Swedish time, Trump and Putin are set to meet. According to the Kremlin, the meeting will focus on economic cooperation, the war in Ukraine, and global security issues.
Trump himself has stated that there is a 25% chance of the meeting being unsuccessful. How he defines a failed meeting is not clear.
He has also stated ahead of the meeting that:
“- If I weren’t president, I think he would much rather take over the whole of Ukraine. But I am president, and he will not mess with me.”
So far, Trump has lived up to the epithet TACO and not followed through on any of the threats he has made. On the contrary, he talks about rewarding Russia through investments. There simply hasn’t been any reason for Putin to mess with Trump.
Admittedly, in the name of fairness, I must acknowledge that he has been extremely magnanimous and generous when allowing us to buy weapons from the USA (by the way, does anyone know what happened to those promised Patriot systems?).
Eventually, we may reach a point where Trump is forced to act, but before that, I suspect he will push Ukraine to the maximum to get them to agree to Putin’s demands. Trump has said that it will be a matter of swapping land, for both sides. What exactly that means, and whether he himself knows what he means, remains to be seen. Perhaps we will get answers after today’s meeting.
I have low expectations and do not believe much will come out of the meeting. Both will probably say it was a good and productive meeting. Trump will probably say that he understands Putin’s demands for peace better (which we have heard a few times by now) and that he looks forward to continued cooperation.
We’ll see if they manage to surprise.
If the meeting does take place, Putin may have accidentally caught a cold or cancel for some other reason, then he will have another week or two to continue terrorizing Ukraine without anyone doing anything.
Europe’s leaders have continued their talks with Zelenskyy and shown their support. Everyone seems to agree that peace should happen on Ukraine’s terms, but no one seems willing to move from words to action to ensure real help for Ukraine. Without real promises of military support, Ukraine will probably be forced to accept peace terms that are deeply unfair.
Trump could have easily tipped the war in Ukraine’s favor, but Europe also bears almost as much responsibility for not daring to step forward. Sure, Ukraine continues to receive a lot of support from us, but with the USA out of the picture, it’s not enough. We would need to send in troops and more equipment. Ukraine has been forced to give up territory since October 2023, almost two years ago, and despite that, we have not done what is needed, and 1.5 years of that was while the USA still provided support.
I am ashamed to be European, but I am not ashamed to be Swedish.
If the rest of Europe’s countries provided the same support as Sweden relative to our size, it would look different. Numbers are never reported when it comes to private donations, but considering the strong support Ukraine has in Sweden, I guess we are at the top even there.
Back to the meeting, it’s nice to see that the supporters of Ukraine started protests in Alaska already yesterday.

ADS
As you have probably noticed, we now have ads on the site. The ads and their placement are managed by Google, which also tries to optimize it automatically. We will let it run for a few weeks to see where it ends up. Some placements feel quite large, but it might get better.
We will then post a survey to hear what you think, if there are too many ads, if there are certain placements that are particularly annoying, etc. so we can make any adjustments after that.
Since RU has been able to threaten with everything possible and Europe has caved in, even though it has turned out to be just hot air, it is proof that Europe’s intelligence services are rubbish! They have no control!
This should have consequences for these failed pilot agents.
When it comes to the USA, I am sure they knew all the way up to Trump’s 2, because after that, any log could have taken over. They have known but not done anything. Why? Because the USA has realized that if they were to go all in a fight with RU, the US economy will reveal to the whole world the major problems they are currently trying to hide, clean up.
The USA is fucked and they do not want to show it off.
The USA’s economic problems are quite well known, right? Large national debt as a percentage of GDP, large commitments in social systems (3 times larger than the national debt), and a lot of waste exposed by DOGE. The USA doesn’t really need to go all in against Russia, just continue to deliver weapons even during periods when Ukraine has the upper hand.
But the USA has its own image of itself, just like Sweden, that they want to be in a certain way. They believe they can sweep things under the rug and continue as usual. Another war they got involved in would expose the problems more clearly and quickly than now.
DOGE revealed some waste but also showed that those in charge don’t know everything and need help to clean up.
Transgenic mice are not the same as Transgender mice. Just those silly statements show that DOGE contained ignorant foolish people who didn’t know what they were doing.
Thank you for the morning report! 31,500 artillery systems. It doesn’t feel like it was long ago when it was 5,000. Talk about intense war.
Thank you too!
Yes, it grinds away significantly every day, especially when it comes to KWIA, art, and soft vehicles, huge numbers in the end.

Checking Johan’s list with raff yesterday, here is another list:

This is also one of the larger refineries (within the top ten) with a capacity of 8.5 million tons per year.
The strange thing is that when I look at FIRMS, there are no indications that there is a fire.
However, when I look further back, a marking appears.
It could mean that the fire has already been extinguished but that all operations are at a standstill.
Unfortunately, maybe the damages are not that significant, but it will probably take a few weeks to get it running again.
BUT, it’s important to remember that FIRMS is not real-time and not exact.
Four satellites are used and they theoretically pass each location twice a day but depending on their path, there can be gaps. At best, there are 8 observations per day. Fires can start and extinguish between passes.
At the same time, clouds and extensive smoke can interfere so that there is no real observation even though they are passing by.
The refinery that was hit yesterday, according to FIRMS, seems to have stopped burning.
However, operations have not resumed because we would have seen the usual heat signatures.
(I had marked the wrong time span, so I initially wrote that it was still burning, I apologize).
The current target looks like this:
Rysk Su-30SM-stridsflygplan tros ha kraschat nära Snake Island, säger Ukrainska flottan.

Regarding the summit in Anchorage, apparently the Kremlin believes that the agenda is 1. Economic cooperation. 2. Ukraine, and 3. Other international issues. So, they are ALSO going to discuss Ukraine. Trump’s fixation on economic deals shifts the focus away from a ceasefire in Ukraine, which Putin probably considers to be Russia’s internal affair. It will probably involve a lot of talk and declarations of good intentions. But nothing more than that.

#Trump’s meeting with #Putin will begin today in #Alaska in a few hours and will last no more than 7 hours.

There are many of them.
The Russian vampire and the main military criminal in the world #Putin has not yet arrived.
#Russia is beaming with happiness to be taken out of isolation and to rise to the level of #America itself
The format of sanctions relief is a key issue in the negotiations. Russia appears to be pushing Dmitriev’s idea of creating joint trading houses that would sell Russian sanctioned goods in the EU and other unfriendly countries under the #US flag. The US proposal is not yet clear.
But, lifting sanctions is a basic trigger for the EU. Actually, the EU’s position is very simple: continuing the war is more acceptable than lifting sanctions. But the EU is forced to follow the US path for now.
How to get out of this triangle is still unclear. But I want to emphasize: not territories, but sanctions are the main topic of negotiations.
Certainly the Russians will approach territorial demands in their demands someday. #Witkoff and #Dmitriev’s negotiations are going well, they are playing on Trump’s greed, whose appetites are growing.
It is probably best that I do not insinuate anything when it comes to Trump, everything else seems to be fine to say whatever you want about without basing it on facts. 😉
I therefore only note that in a conversation with Norway’s Minister of Finance discussing tariffs, Trump chooses to express that he would like to have the Nobel Peace Prize.
I also think it will be interesting to see if he will actually receive the Nobel Peace Prize, for some reason I get the feeling that the chances for it suddenly increased.
“Donald Trump has called Jens Stoltenberg and said he wants the Nobel Prize, according to sources to Dagens Næringsliv.
“Suddenly, while the finance minister was walking down the street in Oslo, Trump called,” the newspaper writes.
He wanted to talk about both the Nobel Peace Prize and the tariffs that the USA would introduce on Norwegian goods.”
If the American air defense in Anchorage, sanctioned by the White House, gets nervous and accidentally shoots something on a glide path from the east, I promise to personally work to ensure that Trump receives the Nobel Peace Prize.
I don’t understand how Trump is allowed to stay in power.

The Heat
Lack of water due to insufficient rainfall occurs now and then, but this is the first time I’ve heard that it would be due to high temperatures in the water that needs to be purified.
Luckily, it’s Friday and there’s beer to buy!
“There is an acute water shortage in Stockholm. All residents are therefore urged to immediately reduce their water consumption, reports P4 Stockholm.
This is because the unusually high water temperature in Lake Mälaren has made the purification processes at Stockholm Water and Waste’s waterworks more difficult. Therefore, they cannot produce as much drinking water as before.
“Every drop counts now. Avoid wasting water. Turn off the tap,” writes Stockholm Water and Waste in a press release.”

“59 percent of Americans are not convinced that President Donald Trump will make ‘wise decisions’ regarding the Ukraine conflict. This is shown in a new survey from the Pew Research Center.
As usual, trust in Trump is significantly lower among Democrats, but even among Republicans, confidence has taken a hit. The percentage of Republicans who trust Trump’s ability to handle the conflict in a good way has dropped from 81 to 73 percent in a year.
At the same time, the president’s shift to a more critical tone towards Putin has been noted by the public. In this survey, not as many people think that he favors Russia. However, there are still clearly more Americans who believe that Trump is more in Russia’s corner (33 percent) than in Ukraine’s (6 percent).”
Managing the war in a good way for whom? For the Russians (where Trump is doing well), for the Americans (where he is doing poorly), or for the Ukrainians (where he is doing terribly)?
Good point!
Since most people are dissatisfied, one can assume that most also mean from Ukraine’s point of view, but of course it can vary among those who have responded.
“He has not done enough to help Russia!”
Ahead of the meeting in Alaska between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, nervousness is palpable in Ukraine.
Economist Pavlo Shkourenko in Kyiv, whom TT has spoken to, believes that Putin wants to try to secure control over cities like Luhansk during the meeting.
– Worthless. The worst-case scenario would be if Trump gets involved and starts playing on Russia’s field, he says.
A mother of two in Kharkiv who wishes to remain anonymous describes the situation as painful but they may have to accept a “deal” that involves Ukraine giving up land.
– We need peace, we are on the verge of losing an entire generation.

USA, tariffs, and Sweden
“The sales of American products at Systembolaget have continued to decline during the summer. The total loss is now about 17 percent this year, reports TT.
– If this continues, it may have an effect on our purchases, but then the decline must be significant and persist over time, says category manager Marie Hultin.
In connection with Donald Trump announcing his tariffs against the EU and Sweden, several initiatives were started to boycott American goods, including alcohol. Wine is the category that has suffered the most – during June and July, sales have declined by 20 percent compared to the same period last year.”

Russian former diplomats describe Friday’s meeting between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin as a victory for the Russian president even before it took place, writes the Washington Post.
The newspaper writes that it is in line with the Kremlin’s goal of reviving a security order where only a few great powers dictate the terms, and a former top Russian official believes it is an excellent opportunity for Vladimir Putin.
– A visit to the USA is of course a huge victory.
Diplomat Boris Bondarev, who resigned in protest against the invasion of Ukraine, wonders why Trump even agrees to hold the meeting when Russia offers so few concessions.

I get an letter from an Scandinavian journalist:
—-
A BAD FEELING:
Tonight Swedish time, the much-hyped meeting between Trump and Putin will take place. They are said to be talking for four hours.
Putin will probably talk for three of them.
He is expected to put on his professor’s jacket and “explain” to Trump the historical context of the war, which means a pseudo-historical odyssey with fabrications and misinterpretations of historical events that culminate in the fact that Ukraine actually belongs to Russia.
Since Trump has no knowledge of the subject, and does not surround himself with anyone who does, he becomes easy prey.
Listen carefully to the words Trump uses after the meeting, it may indicate how duped he has become.
The biggest warning flag is that a joint press conference will be held afterwards. The fact that it has already been decided, despite Trump claiming that the meeting could be very short if it does not go well, is ominous.
There will therefore be talk about more than just Ukraine. This meeting is a way for the russians to thaw relations with the US again.
Without making any concessions whatsoever. russia is already the winner.
It would not be surprising if the outcome of the meeting is nothing in terms of war but that Putin and Trump agree on the basis of economic cooperation between the countries.
It could be the beginning of the end of the transatlantic link, at least for the foreseeable future. Europe should prepare for the worst.
AN ETERNAL ENEMY
Few analysts believe that the meeting between Trump and Putin on Friday will result in anything reasonable for Ukraine and Europe to take a stand on.
The fear, and it is very justified, is that Putin will talk Trump out of it and put demands on the table that @ZelenskyyUa and #Ukraine cannot possibly agree to, thereby branding Ukraine as an opponent of peace.
– There are a number of legitimate reasons for concern.
One is that @realDonaldTrump seems to change his stance almost every week, probably depending on who he last spoke to. There is no predictable line, and this moodiness and fickleness is a nightmare for anyone who wants to see stable and reliable American leadership.
We simply do not know where we have the United States from week to week.
Another is that Trump clearly lacks knowledge on the issue. It is not the job of a president to be an expert, but since Trump’s self-image is that he already knows everything, he probably does not listen to people who actually know something about Ukraine, russia, the nature and causes of the war.
Such a person is no match for a monologue-hungry Putin.
A third reason is that Trump always puts his own interests first.
There are several possible scenarios after Friday’s meeting. None of them are beneficial for Ukraine: a frozen front line, a land swap, or simply not agreeing on anything.
In any case, Europe has big shoes to fill.
The US will not do more now, and American soldiers on the ground have never been an issue.
The EU must arm itself at a completely different pace than it does today, increase financial and military support for Ukraine, and at the same time end its dependence on russian oil and gas. In 2024, more money went from the EU to the russian treasury than was given in support for Ukraine.
This shows that the EU still, despite promises to the contrary, does not take the threat from Russia seriously.
– This war is Putin’s grand project, his intended magnum opus.
And he is sparing no means. Now, defected North Koreans are being shipped as slaves to work in russian factories to fill the gaps created by the war.
“Dictatorships are helping each other while democracies are fighting each other.”
– It is time to realize that russia is an enemy we will have to deal with for generations to come…..
Maybe even wage war against.
The question all Swedes should ask themselves is why Sweden even has a military defense. It is not out of fear of the Danes.

Well written!
Exactly, right on target, Spot-on.
That’s exactly how it goes. Putin deceives and bribes Trump up a tree.
Trump gets his deal on Ukraine’s metals again, this time from the occupant, the USA starts buying cheap Russian oil again. Weapon deliveries to Ukraine are stopped again, and now it’s Zelensky’s fault again that the war continues.
Europe is in meetings
USA backs out of Europe, so Trump can get his deal.
Europe is in meetings. Some airplanes are moved to the Baltics.
Ukraine is forced into an unfavorable peace, as aid is stopped. Elections are announced, non-Russian-friendly candidates are smeared, abused, and killed.
Europe is in meetings, resulting in a condemnation of Russia’s actions.
Russia is amassing forces along the entire Baltic border, holding exercises.
Europe is in meetings. Tens of thousands of soldiers from 15 countries under French and German leadership are moved to the Baltics.
Russia enters on a broad front.
Europe is in meetings, Finland, Sweden, Poland, and the United Kingdom respond to Article 5, USA leaves NATO.
China jumps on Taiwan
Almost J1’s negativity levels on this. We can only hope I’m wrong, but we can probably be sure that this meeting is not good for anyone other than Russia and Trump
Well formulated hope it’s not true.
Unfortunately not an entirely unrealistic scenario.

They have never mentioned it with a single word – that’s why we know it hurts
As Johan writes, they hardly ever mention it. I have seen occasional local newspaper notices, or some local politician speaking out (trying to reassure people that the fires are under control), but I can’t remember their major propaganda channels ever mentioning anything.
That’s the truth they are afraid of!
I don’t think China likes this meeting.
Or do they actually do that?
Depends entirely on what the endgame is.
USA + Russia against China, or USA + Russia + China against the rest of the world?
It would look quite strange if China were at the meeting, but that doesn’t mean they couldn’t be involved anyway.
Three dictators dividing the world among themselves and not needing to care so much about what people or others think, just the three agreeing is enough, then there is nothing anyone else can do.
Extremely speculative of course, but not entirely unlikely.
Customs duties and attempts to bring production back to the USA can be a way to try to be self-sufficient when it comes to, among other things, electronic components, etc.
When no longer in need of Taiwan, permission is given to China to do as they please.
If one is not willing to help Ukraine, they are also unlikely to be interested in saving Taiwan if they are no longer dependent on them.
Russia is so dependent on China right now, that I believe Putin has been in contact with Xi before the meeting.
Even the USA is dependent on China.
It is China that constantly gets longer deadlines for tariffs.
And the TikTok issue seems completely paused…?
One is making a great effort from the US side to recreate the Soviet here. Russia has been given a hundred other chances.
Not good for Europe
It’s crazy that one sees Russia as a better partner than Europe.
If we disregard all conspiracy theories about kompromat, etc., I see only 2-3 reasons for this.
1. One sees Russia as a large potential economic partner where one can both establish oneself but also be able to buy cheap raw material resources (something that Europe cannot offer). This is what I see as most likely. Europe is too strong and even if we are wimps, we resist, besides, we have the same price levels as the USA and no cheap resources that are interesting. I may not believe, like you Johan, that he wants to crush Europe (it’s good to have someone to export expensively to), however, he may not think that we have much to offer.
2. One wants to bring Russia along against China, but here I am doubtful. Russia is very dependent on China. I doubt that the USA would succeed with that.
3. Then of course there is the idea that what one is after is to create a triad, where the USA, Russia, and China rule the world. I almost believe more in that than point 2. Trump seems to enjoy the company of both gentlemen.
Well, it’s quite peculiar.
But it may well be about the EU becoming too strong economically.
He knows that if he drives wedges, supports right-wing parties, and gives Russia long reins, the EU cooperation will collapse, and then we are no longer any global competitor, but the USA and Russia can divide the EU into spheres of interest, and control us with the military power they possess. Cold war again, with the difference that Russia and the USA are allied against China.
Well, point 3 is unfortunately not at all unlikely.
Bringing chip manufacturing home is not just from China but perhaps mainly from Taiwan… want to secure it before releasing Taiwan to China’s sphere I think…
While Japan and Korea pay protection money… and remain in the US sphere.
The EU has made the fantastic deal to pay protection money 2 times with both tariffs and requirements to buy American defense equipment. And it is highly unclear if the protection purchased will ever be delivered. I think the deal is that Europe becomes Russia’s sphere. In exchange, the USA gets Greenland and Canada with all the natural resources.

Regarding the ads, I will wait a bit with the survey, experiment a bit first. Among other things, I have removed the annoying ads at the top and bottom. They are rarely seen on the computer but are completely useless on mobile.
I have also adjusted it so that the pop-up ads do not appear as often.
Do you notice any difference?
Significantly better, fully readable. The only thing for me is the large advertisement that appears when I enter the “daily article” and covers the entire screen on the mobile. Would have gladly been without it too. On the computer, it is, in my opinion, not disturbing.
Great!
You mean the one that covers everything that you have to choose Close (or checkbox) to get rid of?
Agree that it’s quite annoying (if we mean the same).
It’s the one that I specified shouldn’t appear so often, but of course, the first time you visit the site for the day, I guess it will always show up.
Those at the top and bottom that I removed were still the worst, couldn’t even close them completely and took up a large part of the screen and when a popup or ads appeared in the content at the same time, you barely knew what to press or how to scroll because sometimes there were only ads on the screen.. 😀
You interpret me correctly. And it hasn’t appeared the following times I’ve entered today.
Edit: Now it popped up one more time.

Off-Topic
Of course, it is good but at the same time extremely sad that a washing machine that consumes half as much water can have the advantage of also reducing the number of rapes.
“The manual washing machine sent out to poor countries around the world can bring unexpected benefits – not just clean clothes and more free time for many women. This is reported by The Telegraph.
The machine uses about 20 liters per wash, which is roughly half of what the equivalent hand wash would have used. The saved water can then be used for drinking, cooking, or bathing instead.
In countries with a lot of violence, the washing machine project can also strengthen security. The founder of the washing machine project, Navjot Sawhney, gives the example of Congo-Kinshasa. There, women have spent a lot of time walking to and from the nearest water source – walks that increase the risk of sexual violence. Without the long walks, security is increased, according to Sawhney.”
https://omni.se/forhoppningen-sparar-vatten-och-minskar-sexuella-valdet/a/qP5Mje
Advertisement for a Navjot Sawhney’s business?
He has no idea if it reduces the rape frequency but he makes money on this.
Washing machines with less water is not a bad idea, in Kuwait they had water taps that used 20% of the water that sprays out of the tap in Sweden and with high pressure and finer distribution it worked well.
You just changed the nozzle.
I hardly believe that reducing the amount of water decreases the risk of rape. With such an approach to water, one must have gone to a watercourse, or spring, and washed the clothes on the spot. Now, instead, one must carry 20 liters of water home to the washing machine. I can imagine that it is rather the washing time that decreases and the access to water locally if one gains access to a water source and sets up a bunch of washing machines there.
The former Prime Minister and leader of the Social Democrats, Stefan Löfven, has himself met the Russian President Vladimir Putin. Ahead of today’s summit, Löfven predicts that US President Donald Trump will enter the negotiations at a disadvantage. He says this to Dagens Nyheter.
He believes that Trump lacks the ambition to do what is best for Ukraine and therefore there is a risk that he will yield to Putin in order to be able to say that he has reached a solution in the war.
Describing his own meeting with the Russian President at the Arctic Forum in St. Petersburg in 2019, he says it was polite. But he emphasizes that Putin always tried to dominate and “stare him down.”
“He is an old KGB agent who will use various methods to gain ground,” says Löfven.

The Swedish economist Anders Åslund comments on the online dispute between him and US Vice President JD Vance on SVT’s Aktuellt.
“It’s pleasant to receive such attention, but on the other hand, it’s frightening considering that the Trump administration tolerates very little opposition,” he says.
The conflict with Vance is based on Åslund’s criticism of how the US is handling negotiations with Russia regarding peace in Ukraine. Åslund believes that the only way the US can contribute to peace in Ukraine is by providing the country with enough weapons and money to force the aggressor to withdraw.”

Not impossible that this is Israel’s goal, to force the population to leave through starvation in order to have a chance to survive. The method has been used before.
Regardless of whether it is intentional or not, it is still a war crime to starve civilians.
According to Israel, no one is starving except for the kidnapped Israelis whom HAMAS does not provide enough food for.
Personally, I suspect that most people, except for HAMAS, are the ones starving. They have the monopoly on violence to ensure they grab a share of the little food that actually comes in. This might lead to a civil war, perhaps something Israel is also hoping for.
“The situation in Gaza has reached a new level, according to Carl Skau, who is the operational chief of the UN’s World Food Program, to SVT.

– You try to prevent your children from playing so they don’t burn calories, says Skau.
He explains how people used to often ask for more food, help with sanitation, or housing, but now many are instead asking to leave Gaza.”

Do you have any source indicating that Israel plans to starve the residents of Gaza so that they (all?) leave the area?
Since you lead with that, it’s what sticks with the reader, the lead and the title and all that.
—
My first thought then is that if Israel doesn’t provide any food to Gaza, then the residents will starve faster – is that correct?
Then they should bomb the supplies that exist, those UN supplies inside Gaza – have they done that?
—
Then I actually thought of googling a bit about the food supply and I must say that Israel seems to have missed a whole bunch of restaurants that are open in Gaza today, August 15, 2025.
How do they plan to starve the citizens if there are restaurants open?
It also seems that Israel has missed closing a couple of markets where food is sold, often UN food.
However, one could argue that Russia, China, and North Korea are democracies, as they maintain institutions that reflect democracy (multi-party parliaments, courts that are supposed to be independent, various religious communities).
Do I need any source when I write that it “is not impossible”?
How should I phrase it, “I guess based on what I read on the subject”?
Completely convinced that many in Israel want to obliterate Gaza completely.
There are many who have made such statements:
Bezalel Smotrich (Finance Minister, religious-Zionist right-wing):
“There are no half measures … – total annihilation”
“Gaza will be totally destroyed”
Nissim Vaturi (Deputy Speaker of the Knesset):
“Wipe Gaza off the face of the earth”
Yoav Gallant (Defense Minister):
“We are fighting human animals and we are acting accordingly”
“We will eliminate everything.”
May Golan (Minister):
“I am personally proud of the ruins of Gaza…”
Yitzhak Kroizer (far-right party Otzma Yehudit):
“Gaza Strip should be flattened, and for all of them there is but one sentence, and that is death”
Israel Katz (Energy Minister, later Defense Minister):
“All the civilian population in Gaza is ordered to leave immediately. … They will not receive a drop of water … until they leave the world.”
There are many Israelis in Israel who themselves condemn what is happening.
What signs do you see that this is not the goal and that the only thing preventing them is the condemnation of the world? Do you believe them when they say that there is no famine at all?
Speaking of restaurants.
Gaza is 4 miles long.
The same situation does not need to apply throughout the country.
Do you think everyone has updated their opening hours?
Here I found a nice restaurant that is open 24/7, incredibly beautiful surroundings, unfortunately, there are only outdoor seating. If you are not satisfied, there are several open restaurants nearby to visit if you like bombed-out surroundings.
There are probably some fully functional restaurants left, where Israel has not already bombed everything to pieces.
BUT in Ukraine, people are sitting outside, having coffee, enjoying the sun, going to their jobs, swimming with their children, etc. Could a war be going on there? Or?
You write about how you think things are connected, what will happen, etc. based on the facts, rumors, etc. that you are aware of.
When I do the same regarding Trump and Israel, it is unwelcome, because then it doesn’t fit?
I argue and provide alternative interpretations, or present other facts if there are any when I disagree with what others write.
You repeatedly claim that environmental movements are controlled from Russia.
You have not been able to present a single piece of evidence for that, yet you continue to repeat it.
Therefore, I also reserve the right to write based on the conclusions I draw. 😘
My conclusions can of course be completely wrong. Just like yours. After all, you are wrong from time to time too.
Anyway, if everyone thinks that Israel is doing everything right (and does not want that image questioned) or if one thinks that it is completely uninteresting information, I can of course stop writing about it altogether. Alternatively, just post the information and stop conveying my own opinions and ideas.
But isn’t the idea that everyone should be able to have any opinions they want?
But of course, one must be prepared to be questioned just like I was now and as I usually do myself?
Now, there was a generalization of the entire Gaza in your first post, and then you clarify that it varies within different areas.
I do not defend Israel’s actions at all and think it has been going on for too long – was very keen on the deal the Arab League came up with.
Personally, I don’t believe that Israel will get away with clearing out Gaza because at some point the world will seriously turn against them, and it will become a South Africa situation, but maybe we’re not there yet.
I also brought up Israel’s version of the famine, thought I was clear about my own opinions as well.
Perhaps a solution would be for me to comment below the quoted text, so one can first read the original and form their own opinion before I come and tell what the correct interpretation is?
(Of course, the very last part was a joke).
It is common for starvation and gluttony to occur 10 meters apart. 1 dm sometimes, when a well-dressed person steps over a starving one on the street in a major city in Asia, South America, or Africa.
I understand that Israel is tilted since the grotesque assault but normal justice does not allow sacrificing civilians to prosecute a crime.
Well, Israel probably possesses faster methods to kill the civilian population of Gaza, if that is their goal.
However, it is Hamas’ goal to make us believe that is the case.
As I have pointed out in all my comments about Gaza. Hamas’ goal is not a Palestinian state, but the extermination of Israel.
The more people die of starvation, and can be shown in Western media, the closer Hamas gets to its goal.
Israel probably wants to empty Gaza, to get to Hamas, and Netanyahu is probably a semi-crazy leader, but I don’t think he wishes to starve women and children to death, but to get to Hamas he is probably willing to sacrifice a couple of hundred thousand civilians.
If Hamas had been on the Palestinians’ side, they would not have attacked civilians on the scale they did, and then they would have agreed to a prisoner exchange and negotiations. As long as they have hostages, and do not come out of their holes, only death and misery await Gaza’s population, Hamas has no chance.
Well, both HAMAS and Israel want to eradicate each other.
I totally agree, HAMAS is not on the side of the ordinary Palestinian. I do not defend them at all and they should be eradicated. Israel would do us all, but mainly themselves and the Palestinians, a great favor if they succeed.
They are terrorists and murderers and should be treated as such. Sure, if they can be captured alive and brought to justice, that’s of course the best scenario, but it requires them to lay down their weapons first.
It’s difficult to conduct a war without civilian casualties, but Israel could proceed much more cautiously and take better care of the population.
They are militarily superior and have barely had any losses throughout the war.
If it’s true that HAMAS is starving its own population to win the propaganda war, wouldn’t it be smarter for Israel to ship in as many supplies as possible and do everything they can for the civilian population?
Then, what does HAMAS gain from starvation?
The condemnation of the world and demands to send in supplies, recognition of Palestine as a country?
Sure, it will keep HAMAS fed if they get food, but if they get enough, they lose control over the population because they have no leverage.
They will lose the war eventually.
HAMAS has put themselves in a dilemma. They know they won’t come out of it alive if they release the hostages (there is no reason for Israel to hold back, except possibly pressure from the international community).
Even if there were some kind of peace agreement that would give them safe passage, they know they will be hunted by Mossad for the rest of their lives. It wasn’t many years ago since they caught the last Nazi from World War II.
They also know that they probably won’t come out of it alive even if they keep the hostages, but maybe it will keep them alive longer. They might do like Putin, just drive straight into the wall and hope it works out along the way. (Because for Putin, it seems like it might..)
Israel knows this too, of course, and neither party trusts each other. When discussing ceasefire agreements, it falls through, neither side wants it enough for it to happen so they come up with demands and details that make it impossible for the other party to accept.
It will likely continue as it is, but that’s why I think it’s important to get Israel to act in a more humane way. They don’t seem to care much themselves.
It’s disgraceful to kill 10 civilians for every dead HAMAS supporter (made-up numbers of course, but you understand the point).
Well, Israel should be able to proceed more cautiously. They probably did it at first, when they sent messages and knocked before bombing the house.
Now it seems like they have lapsed morally and no longer care. The shootings during the food deliveries are probably rock bottom. However, one does not know to what extent Hamas has been there and provoked.
HAMAS is probably causing trouble, then it’s probably very easy to get nervous and trigger-happy when a horde of desperate people push and you don’t know if there are armed HAMAS among them.
It may be enough for someone to wave a stick or behave strangely.
No wonder if something goes wrong at some point, but then the distribution should be secured in a completely different way.

Interesting statistics.👍
The question is how they have calculated when it comes to revenue and expenses.
It includes both production losses, costs for repairs, and increasing expenses for the restructuring of logistics needed during the repair work.
Until the end of February, there was a high level of strategic droning, then it died out, but now it’s back so on an annual basis, it might be accurate.
I don’t keep track of oil prices, but I remember there were many, and in the first quarter of this year, 9 refineries were fought against.
Now we are up to 8 after today’s, even though everyone misses Komi except the genius Johan No.1
Wondering if it could be due to Komi probably being an accident.
There was an explosion in a tank, but there are no drone footage, etc., and apparently it was to be repaired.
Could simply have been a Russian smoking in the wrong place.😀
“An oil tank burns after an explosion at an enterprise near #Usinsk, #Komi Republic According to the head of the Komi Ministry of Natural Resources, there was no oil in the tank, and repairs and cleaning activities were underway.”

This is the third time I’m posting this link – also informed GUR that MXT believes they are lying, and that they are unmanly 😀

Also, I must remind you that as evidence for your claim, you are posting a Russian source – so is a Russian source more credible than me 🧐
😂😂😂
I just picked one of all those who said roughly the same thing when I quickly scanned social media. (Can look up more if you want.)
Just tried to find an explanation for the difference in the lists.
But then it was a hit on a thought and a little guidance. Then maybe that’s the reason why others don’t list it? Or maybe everyone else except you is completely useless? That’s probably it.
Still amazing that they reached 2000km.

Now we are mostly discussing Trump, Swedish domestic politics, and the environment in here nowadays, and very little about Ukraine – and especially even less about what we see in action and what is really happening.
At best, someone gets upset about something negative being written about Ukraine’s ability to make a profit.
Ukraine is retreating everywhere, and even though Azov is now hunting a Russian brigade north of Pokrovsk, this brigade went straight through a presumed defense line without seeing a Ukrainian soldier.
The counterattack was withdrawn from Kupiansk, Sumy, and Kostiantynivka and was not a mobile reserve, and there was none in the Pokrovsk area.
Yes, Ukraine has an offensive reserve, but it cannot achieve anything of strategic importance on its own, and it is a very long front line that needs to be covered for UA when RU is attacking everywhere.
This may not stop Sirsky from trying because it’s kind of his thing, but without full asymmetric warfare and Europe’s full support, Ukraine cannot win this – that’s where we are now, and if we know it, Europe knows it too, right?
Something that should keep you awake at night is that RU has now sorted out its digital battlefield and kill chain.
We laughed when RU had its own version of the digital battlefield but couldn’t use it. During the Kursk offensive in 2024, we saw the embryo of improvement when some Ptgb drove and got artillery after them, which missed.
Today there is a 2-minute lead time on counter-battery fire, and then a swarm of FPV drones comes and hunts down anything left if Ukraine tries to shoot with its artillery, move a tank forward, or any other identifiable target.
Then 670 “loitering munitions” were fired at the Dnieper front in a day. I’ve seen quite a bit about Lancet lately, so loitering was probably not a typo. It’s a rather small front stretch, by the way.
They use 4500 FPV drones per day.
5000-6000 artillery shells, and I don’t know if the artillery has been improved and has better accuracy, I’ll google a bit about that.
150 FAB, where they also have FAB thermobaric bombs now.
Then you know as well as I do that RU has all its mech capabilities, now we might have the fifth mech fall in a few weeks, it was at the Southern front, previously Siversk, and a few more, so when they think they have a leverage with it, the mech battalion comes rushing in and dies.
How many defense forces in Europe do we estimate have had the same high level of digital battlefield and drone warfare as Ukraine?
None was the answer when we were proud that the Ukrainian defense force was the best in Europe – which it undoubtedly was.
Now Russia has surpassed Ukraine in that capability, so what position do they then get in the European ranking?
Then Russia is supposed to build 79,000 Shaheds by 2025, and since they shoot 2500 per month, there should be a couple in the arsenals, right?
The production lines for robots are in full swing, with China’s help – apparently thousands annually now, and you can see how few are being shot, so the stockpiles are growing there too.
Then, as always, I was right in my assumption that China has provided advanced LV protection at high-value Russian targets – I thought AI interceptor drones, but China topped that and has given Russia laser weapons against drones.
I understand that self-images are about to tip here and that people don’t want to hear this, but doing absolutely NOTHING for over three years will eventually lead to someone else doing it, right?
The number of other chances that Russia has had is astronomical, and they would have fallen a long time ago, and since Zelensky and now recently Sirsky have MANY times told us that Europe and the USA are stopping them from targeting objectives inside Russia, very few seem to want to believe it.
Since we have had a long five-month break in targeting refineries and Sirsky said a month ago that Europe and the USA are stopping them from targeting objectives in Russia while they clearly have the capability – then the highest probability is that they didn’t get permission.
Not that they didn’t want to.
Trump is doing what the USA has done in a whole war – your enemy’s enemy is Russia. Eventually, you will understand that the USA wants a Russian threat to Europe because the Cold War was their best years, the USA is not our friend. Trump is following the USA’s line that they have been following in an entire war.
To hope for a Finnish deterrent peace in their formal letter is primarily to throw Ukraine under the bus – it was just last winter that all of Europe’s leaders promised that Ukraine would regain its land, the half-life of our promises is short. All talk, no action, and that goes for all of Europe.
Secondly, when Ukraine is no longer there as a buffer, this digital battlefield will be turned against us, and we have not bothered to acquire it or the drone weapon on the scale that we have seen is needed in a war.
If Putin feels he has even a chance to succeed in the Baltics, he will take it.
And a deterrent peace is our best option because if Putin can maintain the pressure, Ukraine will continue to retreat.
And the higher the pressure on Ukraine, the greater the likelihood that GRU and FSB influence operations will take hold, and if Ukraine as a country collapses, it’s game over for us.
Russia will get all their technology, a million Ukrainian soldiers will take over Europe’s underworld, and Russian soldier salaries will be attractive – they have to eat, right?
A person needs a certain amount of money every month for the family to survive – if Russia ends up paying it, they will have access to a million soldiers and a very attractive arms industry that are dissatisfied with how Europe betrayed them.
The Russians don’t even need to be the best when they have the numbers they have, and the lack of empathy they possess, and a population with a will of their own that falls below that of a herd. In some way, the West (except the USA) has lived under the misconception that wars are fought according to a rulebook. Wars are fought because at least one party has stopped following the rulebook. Don’t think that I want us to throw away the rulebook, but for us to be able to punish someone who breaks the rules, we must be the victors. Otherwise, different standards apply.
You are absolutely right Umlaut and we don’t really need to throw away the rulebook but could we start following it?
I think that Europe has greatly underestimated both our own ability, Russia’s willingness to escalate the war, and then Russian capability.
Actually, it is enough for Ukraine to retreat to understand this.
What will be the outcome – when Europe understands this (maybe we already have 🧐) we will sacrifice the Baltics.
👍
And to be a winner, you must dare to fight.
Those were wise words
Coming a travel tip in a while 👍
Now I have googled the forest fires – do it you too.
People are being arrested all over Europe for starting forest fires, so the likelihood of someone getting caught is quite high.
Who that might be, you can guess 😀
When I was a child, I used to burn things (not other people’s things and nothing that spread) unpaid.
Yes, it does well for children but here it’s for adults 😀
If someone intentionally starts a forest fire and people die, the culprit should be imprisoned for murder!
Hold on to it!
Should almost be enough that people are risking their lives.
Now a cyclone is coming to the Caribbean – if you haven’t heard from me before Tuesday, call the tax agency.
You forgot to mention in the slightly longer post above, that we also discuss the weather!
Good that you clarified that 👍👍
Travel tips were also missing. Or should we maybe call it Anti-Travel Tips? 🤔
I have a travel tip for you on this Friday – never go to the Caribbean, or better yet, don’t even consider it.
Cuba has also completely crashed by the way.
As someone working abroad since 2006, I have been around a bit and you can be in the worst country but live like a god, or in paradise and eat day-old McDonald’s – it all depends on how much your company values you.
This is the most hellish country I have experienced when trying to start a school, find an apartment, arrange transportation to/from work, hospitals, leaving the country – coming back and all that.
All contact with local employees at the company goes like this – “hello, can you help me with a problem” – now I have three new problems instead.
The drivers siphon gasoline from the tank, gas stations overcharge by 15 liters per refill, the driver arrives half an hour late, the car crashes once a month, and the drivers ask for extra money every day – and these are people in their 40s we’re talking about here, not fifteen-year-olds. If they don’t get anything, they become sullen and behave in a way that would get them fired in Sweden.
I now have the third new car after a crash in half a year.
To start school, you need a triple-stamped letter from the Ministry of Education and now we got it after six months – yes, you heard right, it took half a year.
I sat in their waiting room while an administrator shouted at some poor mother, “your child will not go to school this year, do you understand, now leave.”
When we went back to the two international schools that had promised us a spot once we had the letter, we were told, “we don’t have room for you, understand that” and the classes weren’t even full.
When I asked for the results of the admission test, the little boy had passed it and a large part is in English, which I happen to know is not a strength of local school children, so he was probably doing okay + he had attended an international school.
Moreover, one school had forced us to go back to the Ministry of Education twice for minor spelling errors in the letter that the Ministry of Education did not want to correct because it did not affect their approval – a big fight with them and we sat with some chief in the back office to get it changed.
We actually had an email from that school’s admissions office stating – “if you just change this in the letter, we will approve your son to start school immediately, you are welcome.”
My suspicion is that you have to bribe at every level and when we don’t do that, they just mess with us because it’s the next best thing for them to see people fail.
This is a major tourist destination and the country has a good reputation, but it shouldn’t.
We travel a lot and you can go to a good restaurant and order a seafood platter and get yesterday’s leftovers – then you have paid 2000 SEK in Swedish money for two people and a child.
Everything is fried in oil and bone dry – even plantains, which are quite tasty, they manage to make tasteless and oily, which is almost impossible.
Even something as simple as a BLT sandwich they make completely inedible.
When I first arrived, we stayed at a five-star hotel for a week – the food was like a mediocre Asian buffet in a poorly visited shopping center in a small town in Sweden.
But yes, we have found the most expensive restaurants in town that have okay food but you can guess what it costs so we don’t hang out there excessively often 😃
You get overcharged for everything when you’re out, sometimes they add a 25% tax on everything, often they add things you didn’t order and the price of a bottled beer varies greatly depending on whether you’re a tourist or not.
Sometimes the service is a disaster, a waiter starting a fight for no reason and you have to call the restaurant manager to resolve it – you leave completely furious when you were supposed to have a nice weekend lunch with the family and the day is ruined.
There are supposed to be wonderful coral reefs here but when we went out on a boat and snorkelled, the water was murky and fish-free, and this is in completely clear water – I don’t understand how they found the only murky spots in the whole country.
My company has taken the view that this is a tourist destination and gives us a sum of money to solve our own accommodation, food, transportation, school, but it doesn’t solve the problems and I have never experienced that before, that cash is not king. You can always throw money at a problem and it will be solved.
We are also quite street smart and I have a medal that says “I survived two years in Nigeria” hanging on the wall at home – those of you who have been there know that it’s the survival art of higher education.
Don’t go to the Caribbean.
An early conversation with the Italian boss the day after he took us and the whole family out for a welcome lunch – “we don’t do this anymore, unless you want to of course (pause for effect), but it’s tradition to go to Cabinas (hourly motels with hidden parking and ads like “waterbed” and names like Cabinas Cupido or Cabinas Curacao) with the secretary on Fridays after you buy a gift, it’s important to get the price right there – I can help you.”
So if you like that kind of thing and rum, the Caribbean is right for you, otherwise stay far away 👍
Doesn’t sound like a top spot, to be honest.
According to Google, a charming tourist destination
Sounds like you’ve drawn a Caribbean short straw, I would never take the kids there.
I was 25 years old, 3 months in Anguilla working, was then alone and childless, which made things a lot easier. It was a quiet sleepy isle that needed more power, so we went and expanded and renovated their power plant.
Nice white beaches, limited nightlife. On Fridays, you took the left-hand drive car in left-hand traffic to and from the local pub on the other side of the island. If you wanted more action, you took the boat to St. Marten. Those were the days.
If you are alone, want a good nightlife and some company, as I said, I can recommend the country 😀
There is also a large supply of cocaine since it is a transshipment point between Colombia and the USA.
Are you insinuating that CB would be attracted to light-footed women and cocaine? 😂
No, if that’s the case, I might as well apologize to CB500four, that was not the intention 👍
Oh, just a bad joke from my side.
I didn’t interpret the comment at all the same way as MXT, so it’s all good. 😀
But sure, 25 years ago, agile women might have taken the lead, but they probably would have kept the cocaine for themselves. 🍻😄
I forgot the worst –
nothing in the newspapers but my wife is in various TikTok and Facebook groups, she does this in every country we visit to keep track of what’s happening.
On two occasions during the time I’ve been here, they in these groups have posted local reports where they found mass graves with murdered children, I think it was 300 and 200.
But it doesn’t come to the surface internationally, it’s not reported.
Probably a lot of crap that the American tourists are up to and when the children are completely used up, they are buried – difficult to come up with any other reason actually.
It’s in the countryside, someone has stumbled upon them and the police have dug them up. Filmed by private individuals standing and discussing with each other how terrible it is.
😭
That was my Friday drunk post, posted a little early, but it had to be that way.
What, no, that can’t be the FRIDAY DRUNK post, there are no dog videos included?!!
You will have to deal with them – I am at the office dealing with an issue and will return with three new ones 😐
Can’t you leave with four problems then? It’s Friday after all? 😀
Can’t someone just shoot Trump 😡
Eller Putin
A spectacular crash in Alaska tonight will sort out a lot…
Or, a Russian who gets a feeling and shoots Trump, that would set the USA on the right track, I think.
“Ukrainian 🇺🇦 Naval Kamikaze UAVs have sunk the Russian cargo ship, Port Olya-4, in the Black Sea, it was sanctioned by the US 🇺🇸 in 2024 and used to transport weapons and military equipment”
The sabotage has gone so far now that if you choose any area – for example arson attacks – and google around different countries, people with connections to Russia have been arrested all over half of Europe.
Then you take something else and start googling around – same thing.
The logistics must be absolutely enormous for all these thousands of different misdeeds they are involved in.
In these digital times, it’s probably not as troublesome. Video games seem to be used for propaganda and recruitment, among other things. Difficult payments have become easier with cryptocurrencies (or in-game currencies).
It’s true.
I was thinking about the whole setup – find someone, act as a handler for them, pay, persuade them to carry out the deed, follow up, and so on.
My point was actually that all of this activity combined must employ many thousands of Russian agents full-time.
Or they are multitasking something enormous, but during the Cold War there were very large organizations.
Yes, it probably reaches a lot of people even if they can sit in Russia behind a lot of computers and don’t need to sneak around in back alleys to find gang members.
Soon both the propaganda and the first steps of recruiting AI will probably take place (if we are not already there).
This is somewhat interesting in this context.
“AI models from Open AI, Meta, X AI, and Alibaba can make people change their political views after less than 10 minutes of conversation. This is shown by new research from the British AI Security Institute, as reported by the Financial Times. – What makes these chatbots so persuasive is their ability to generate large amounts of relevant evidence and communicate it in an effective and understandable way,” says David Rand, professor of information science at Cornell University and part of the team behind the report.”
https://omni.se/a/EyGkrj
“The Press Ombudsman Caspar Opitz has received several complaints against a column written by Expressen’s Jens Liljestrand about Russians vacationing in Europe, reports Swedish Radio. In the text, Liljestrand expresses discomfort at having to hear Russian being spoken during his sunny vacation while the “slaughter in Ukraine” is ongoing. Liljestrand’s cultural article has been called racist in responses by several other writers, and Opitz says that it has been “mass reported,” which is not common for this type of text. – It is very unusual. It concerns about 20 complaints. However, all of them have been dismissed, as only personal accusations can be criticized by the Press Ombudsman.”
Good job by Liljestrand 👍
Also shows that Europe still allows Russians in without hindrance.
Hear this – Trump has just had a phone call with Lukashenko 😶
He doesn’t want anything to do with Zelensky and says he started the war, leaving Europe’s leaders to settle for JD Vance.
He didn’t even want to meet with the Japanese for trade-deal talks, instead giving them a tariff.
But he personally calls the little Belarus president for a confidential conversation.
Putin – fine.
Lukashenko – I probably need some help to find a legitimate reason here?
There are plenty of bad reasons.
They have approximately the same format, but Trump has happier colors. 😄
Maybe Trump is thinking of running in the election when Luka retires.
I don’t understand why Europe doesn’t actually rise up.
Incomprehensible.
It’s a disaster. Strangely enough, they don’t seem to know what they’re dealing with.
A Russia with a leader like Putin is not someone you can be diplomatic with. It’s tough rhetoric and promises of superiority that count. Slap them on the fingers with a ruler if they try something.
It’s difficult for Europe to earn respect from leaders like Putin, and partly also Trump. Since they only respect strength, we must also project strength. After living under the protection of the US’s military apparatus for so long, Europe lacks self-confidence, and to a large extent, capability.
It’s a bit late to start getting up early now. Probably requires a “Pearl Harbor” moment for Europe to toughen up, it will be a trial by fire, as we must reprioritize and convert the industry to wartime production, a costly lesson.
How can you stand with a spine made of jelly?
Europe’s leaders are cowardly and only spew hot air. They are Fat Cats!
Here is the link.
https://news.liga.net/en/politics/news/trump-says-he-had-a-great-conversation-with-lukashenko
👍
I can’t find it now, but I saw something about a statement from Trump that another meeting with Zelenskyy “and possibly leaders from Europe” has already been planned.
Will there be an endless series of meetings now to give Putin even more time?
In previous attempts, the demand was to start negotiations with a ceasefire. Now they are not even trying to pressure Putin with that anymore.
“Possible leader from Europe”
If Trump gets to decide, he will bring Orban and Fico with him to represent Europe.
He does it nicely anyway when he keeps a good face in mean games.
“Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is positive about today’s peace meeting between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin, even though he himself is not allowed to participate. In a post on X, Zelensky writes that the most important thing about today’s meeting is to lay the foundation for a new peace talk where Ukraine also gets to participate. “It’s time to end the war, and the necessary steps must be taken by Russia. We trust the USA,” he writes. He adds that Ukraine is ready to work constructively to achieve peace. Trump and Putin will meet in Alaska at 9 pm tonight.”
Alrajt – now Trump is going to visit Belarus, Lukashenko invited him and he accepted.
Isn’t the humiliation enough soon?
He has been sitting and mocking all of Europe’s leaders when they have occasionally had to meet him, he has treated Zelensky exceptionally poorly and now the red carpet is being rolled out for a despot who is marginally better than Putin.
And moreover, completely insignificant, the USA has nothing to gain from Belarus.
Except that the country can sabotage for Europe, the only thing I can think of.
In a Europe without direction, without backbone, and without muscles, a confused Trump wanders around and around.
One would have preferred Trump to do an Azerbaijan in Belarus. That is, to involve American influence at the expense of Russian.
But as I said, where is Europe? Soon Trump will also steal Johanno1’s ideas about European business development in cooperation with the states in Africa.
Europe is paralyzed, in terms of action. Paralyzed in action.
Just like one hoped for a while that Trump would turn sour on Russia and put them in their place, one now hopes that Europe will wake up at the eleventh hour. Trump has been given up on, afraid the same will happen with Europe.
Feel incredibly sorry for the Ukrainian population who have done, and are doing, everything they can and more.
Yes, as you write – we hope and hope, for over three years we have hoped.
Trump wants to learn dictator ABC. He has learned a lot from Putin, but he probably wants to learn how to balance on a slack line from Lukashenko.
Will the next lesson from Erdogan be “discreet elimination of potential opposition presidential candidates”?

Good size also 👍
The question is whether it did not commit suicide out of pure shame, what a pile of rust!
What MXT writes about AI is true – it has previously been said that Russia has discovered that they no longer need six months to radicalize/convert, but that it is enough with occasions if they use AI.
A real plague it will be.
I think we can get a lot confirmed with body language.
we have seen how condescending he has been towards Ukraine and Europe.
how will he behave towards Putin
Looking forward to your analysis of the meeting tomorrow. You who live in a different time zone and will be able to watch it when it’s released (except for any press conference right after, of course, one might be able to handle that oneself).
+1
😳
So, RU has brought forward a large number of TOS-1 and Islander with thermobaric ammunition near the border to Estonia 🧐
Why do you think that is?
By the way, they are probably not included in Zapad 25 so we can probably count them out 👍
Having read your posts and concluded that attacking the Baltics, that’s probably not a bad idea?
😳
One hopes that the European leaders also read and learn..
I don’t know what I’m most pissed off about – Trump, the Caribbean, or a sleeping Europe.
Me? 😂
The Green Party, I forgot, thank you 👍
No post tomorrow but I will share my thoughts (=anger) on the Trump-Putin meeting here 👍
There will be some posts with suggestions on how to best murder Trump this week, so we’ll see if anyone takes the bait 👍
Did Friday’s Booze(TM) die of natural causes?
Doesn’t matter. Let’s continue on the subject Learn How to Kill Ryzz.
Some videos come from American military youtubers, and some may be a bit exaggerated. But forget about that, watch the content and take in what is important.

Wishing the same, well a lot to handle during Friday’s drinking, must not add anything under Watch later and hoping that the Russians stay calm until then!
“Then” does not exist.
Do. Now.
at least TAKE one of the videos, the one about how Ukrainian youth trains is only 15 minutes long…
Trump meets up at the plane.
They leave smiling in the Beast together.

Putin almost dodged the little pile of dung. 💩
At least it’s lucky they’ve stopped with the heavy kisses that the Soviet leaders used to do. 🤮
Shh, when they are alone it becomes wolf-lick instead….
I will try a positive post… even though it now seems very unlikely.
Imagine if we were wrong about this meeting, that Trump is actually on our side, and is really mad at Putin.
If after the meeting he angrily tweets that Putin is unreasonable and wants to continue fighting, and that he promises to send all the weapons Ukraine needs. Starting with 100 Tomahawks, and the USA helps with target acquisition.
Sanctions are tightened, and new tariffs for anyone trading with Ru. The shadow fleet is stopped in the Øresund Strait.
50,000 American troops are shipped to Eastern Europe. B2 bombers, F22s, and a lot of other aircraft are stationed in Europe.
Trump and Europe give Putin an ultimatum, an immediate ceasefire, and all Russian soldiers must be out of Ukrainian territory within two weeks or Europe and the USA will actively intervene and provide air support to Ukraine and handle air defense, as well as distance combat Russia’s logistics.
Pressure from the outside increases resistance to Putin internally, and suddenly he disappears from the scene, and his successor declares the war as Putin’s war, not Russia’s, and withdraws from Ukraine…
It would probably be too good to be true, but one can always dream…

Trump didn’t seem to be enjoying himself, almost shrinking to Putin’s size.
Two days ago we read about the Russian hacking of a Norwegian dam gate in April. Now they have repeated it:
A new cyber attack has occurred in Norway. The same pro-Russian group that remotely opened a dam gate last spring claims to be behind it, reports Aftenposten.
TT-NTB
Published 12:46
Norway’s security police PST confirms that a new attack has taken place. Exactly what has happened is not clear, but the police are comparing it to the hacking of the Bremanger dam last spring. The dam was opened so that water flowed freely for four hours.

Yuck. Almost tempted by Johan’s marketing of the Caribbean. Apparently free cocaine and friendly company. (apparently tested, otherwise he wouldn’t have vouched for it)
I have no previous experience. How many kilos of cocaine does it take to forget about Putin, Trump, and all the others?
Two lines I think – not because I tried 😳
It was a bit short notice this time, but there should be a solid plan. Call me.
Now you should go to bed!
Tomorrow you relax the hangover with some of the videos I posted. And then you buy at least two bottles of water and set aside.
Have you charged the drone?
Can he take a couple of bed visitors?
😂😂😂
The drone? Who the hell manages with just one drone? I admit that I only have one controller, but that’s because everyone seems completely clueless so the benefit of having several is non-existent.
🤣🤣
If it feels better, I am equally disappointed and sitting with a bottle of rum
From what I have seen, it became a TACO once again just as I predicted.
Nothing concrete at all, but more time for Putin to continue his war.
If you have anything signaling something else, please argue your case.
Now there’s more from Trump. After a pointless meeting, it is concluded that everything depends on Zelenskyy.
I thought there wouldn’t be anything already now, but they seem to want to put pressure on him already now.
Damn it!!!
“It is now up to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to reach a ceasefire. That’s what Donald Trump tells Fox News after the meeting with Vladimir Putin in Alaska. The meeting between the two parties did not result in anything concrete. However, despite that, Trump called it “extremely productive” and said that he had agreed with Putin on “several major points.” He believes that it is now up to Zelensky to build on that. – I would also say that the European countries need to get involved a little, but it’s up to President Zelensky,” Trump tells Fox News after the summit. …”

Just as we guessed. 🤮🤬
No one surprised, but everyone disappointed.
Continued attacks after the meeting. So it seems that Zelensky has not yet released the parts of Ukraine that Putin wants, and/or that Europe is somewhat passive.
New post out now. https://johanno1.se/en/war-in-ukraine-2025-08-16/
