We have now reached the point where we can write “and so it has begun” (for the fifth time) without being laughed at (for the first time).
In 2023, when the formal decision was made that the spring offensive was underway on the 3rd or 4th of May, it was 03:00 in the night, I had been having fun with whisky and DefMon posted something about an Indian uprising – all the signs were in place, and it was crystal clear that Ukraine had started its spring offensive, so the message was broadcasted to the world early in the morning before I crashed.
A lot has happened now, the post has been in the works for a while, and I hope I have included everything.
If, like me, you have been glued to the flow of information, you know that Zelensky gave Trump a very long finger – “don’t trust you, but if Congress approves, it’s okay.”

And Europe didn’t want to be left behind, even though Belgium (again) found its inner continent-traitor, so now it’s peseta water hoses to Ukraine.

Zelensky also gave China a long finger, but I have lost track of the statement, however harsh and ruthless it was.
USA has backed off a bit, then Trump tried to shame Zelensky, Ukraine has been diplomatic, but at the same time Ukraine (maybe) droned Putin’s dacha in Sochi.

And they have targeted a new type of target – oil platforms, and THAT has been absolutely forbidden throughout the entire war.
That’s about where we are now, with someone else to serve perhaps that one has missed?
Behind closed curtains, Europe has presumably promised Zelensky our full support in what is to come – we are ready to go to war because Ukraine’s cause is ours (come up with that now, maybe it will be used sometime in the future?).
I don’t know if it’s even possible to overestimate that Germany, UK, and France together with Japan have found a common enemy to unite around?
Russia is trying to play this under Article 5, China wants us to be passive consumers, the USA thought Europe would be terrified of Russian aggression and turn to them again for very expensive security – and everyone wants Europe entangled in the climate crisis and everyone’s equal value.
It does not escape me that Europe is now being accused of crashing themselves when the crises of the last 20 years have been artificially created by others to destabilize us.
USA probably intended to divide the world between themselves, China, and Russia (again) and have their second best years ever after Cold War 1.0.
So short is the memory – the last times Europe was tested, it turned into a world war, with the not so subtle difference that all of Europe is on the same side of the fence this time, together with Japan.
A little history lesson;
Who sponsored Hitler’s buildup – American banks.
Who sponsored China’s buildup – us in the West.
Who has protected Russia from themselves when they have made mistake after mistake – USA and China.
The USA has always had the advantage of being geographically protected and having a large industrial base to rely on. They can wait until the situation is optimal and all planets align before choosing to enter a war.
If Europe manages to defend itself against the rapist Russia, we have the same advantage that led the USA to victory in two world wars – geographical protection and a large industrial base.
What actually lost two world wars for Russia/Soviet Union, if you exclude all the help they received to barely survive, and then the Cold War crashed, is what they are showing now – a unique ability for ruthlessness that ultimately consumes them from within in an unprecedented self-destructive behavior.
China is in a terrible geographical position and can only start expanding at sea, which makes them vulnerable. Just ask their neighbor Japan, who tried that trick in a major war in the past and probably now has a few self-taught war strategies up their sleeve to throw at China.
The USA was at the top of the pyramid when weak men (women and all other gender identities we respect except maybe + as LGB themselves say are minor attracted when the time is right) were put in charge of managing the empire with the expected result – at the very least, in the coming years, they will create an English empire where the UK was the country that, without competition, lost the most in WW2.
You don’t need to be a history professor or Jerzy Sarnecki to be able to read and understand that all empires have fallen sooner or later, where perhaps the Spanish one was the most spectacular precisely because they became a tourist attraction with paella and churros instead of the world’s most violent infantry that Protestants all over Europe feared more than Dante’s Inferno.
Probably Macron and some German we haven’t seen yet will start to smell the morning air, and there is a not insignificant undergrowth in Europe in finance and industry that realizes the value of the USA no longer dominating us completely, as it leaves room for someone else – themselves.
As the world’s best bloggers often write, the USA is not our friend – they wanted to bring down the UK in WW2, which they succeeded in, and then they made a deal with the Soviet Union to keep Europe in check, leading us to 1990. This betrayal is popularly known as the “Yalta Conference.”
They financed Hitler as mentioned above, and throughout the Cold War, they behaved terribly towards many weak countries that they plundered – maybe it’s not such a bad idea if the USA turns inward and stops caring about the world?
China is not ready to take over, but that doesn’t stop them from starting wars. Fifty years ago, they had various clever campaigns for internal genocides that they gave beautiful names.
Russia is already close to version 2.0 of 1917.
Hitler needed to go to war after devoting himself to state support until the country was almost bankrupt and someone had to be robbed of money, and it ended up being Europe, and especially the Jews, even though everyone should wonder how Switzerland could sit there as a neutral little blue dot in a sea of concentration camps and Gestapo – such things make one ponder the prevailing order.
Russia has actually made the same journey where they eventually felt compelled to go to war both politically and economically (they thought, but nothing got better…). The idea was a quick smash-and-grab of Ukraine, plunder the country, and show the citizens that democracy is for cowards who end up unhappy.
The big question is what China must do to survive politically and economically – they are probably also reaching the boiling point slowly.
The USA’s debt bubble is almost bursting now, and historians can piece together the outcome afterwards, but Japan’s former 0% national debt, whose interest rates have now shot up like a spear, is said to be threatening according to the amateurs on Twitter on whom I base my entire personal economic gambling – “all on red” is the motto I follow from them for pension savings.
Well, the FED can probably write off all its debt, which is around 30%, in one go, but is that enough?
The repercussions should reasonably hit China, and they have an enormous population that has been getting better for under 35 years at the expense of everyone else.
Or do they have it – have been reading that they are bluffing but if they wouldn’t do it for once, the country is dimensioned for 500mnr and the rest of the billion live substandardly – so China lies about it instead, that everyone is doing well.
Poke them a little with a sharp stick and see what happens?
Probably it will be like with all great empires that they choose to go to war to unite the country against an external enemy – a quick fix that makes everything ten times worse.
The best thing is that all future actions are European self-defense – Ukraine, Taiwan, Japan, Belarus (when the people have spoken) and increasing pressure on Russia.
Easy to justify to the citizens, and morally and legally completely in line with how we perceive ourselves.
Easy to go too far – absolutely and we have a certain ability to exaggerate when we apparently start up.
You now know after almost four years of posts what Russia has done and is doing – there are still some doubters who refuse to believe, but the evidence is overwhelming.
Now France has evidence that Russia has supported both right and left wings and then there were hate crimes carried out by the FSB as well.
And an FSB “Nazi cell.”

BREXIT is now starting to have so much information around it that it is clear that it was a Russian influence operation.
And in 2015 it was also, even though it is very difficult for many to admit it still.
Trump’s/USA’s attack on Europe and the peace attempt is also a Russian operation – most recently we got evidence that the list of peace points was Google-translated from the Russian language.
Trump also tried to force Zelensky to accept the terrible deal, as we have written before.
And now he demands new elections

Meanwhile, GRU is preparing peace protests in the country.

Not to mention the broadside against the EU right now, it is a sophisticated attack on our soft democracy from the USA, Russia, and China. They want to incite popular discontent.
China is holding back critical raw materials and products to lower our industry, and Northvolt was also China – they crashed it because they could since the management was idiots, they should have hired me who has been working with Chinese since 2006.
Trump has tried to politically bring down Zelensky and they tried to kill him when he flew to Ireland.
No one has yet asked how Russia could have 4 military drones available way over in Ireland but not everyone is as smart as us 🧐
(ships are the answer).

Russia is far gone, you know that if you have read all the posts, and now the media is starting to prepare the population for war with us.

Twitter is completely filled with anti-EU and Nazi-EU posts right now, so Russia justifies domestically going to war with us.
The Germans now say that Russia will attack Estonia in 2028 – who says that, who 🧐
We are already at war, and now before Christmas 2025, Europe’s leaders finally realized it – I find it difficult to describe in words the feeling of relief that came over me, which may also be due to the fact that I opened a Mariestad beer and mixed a ranch dip for the barbecue chips. I’m not very good with emotions, so it’s hard to sift through the downpour of feelings when everything came at once with good news, a hissing beer opening, and a bag of chips.
I must admit that my understanding of the tardiness of the West has increased and why WW2 turned out as it did – our leaders severely underestimated it.
That we have come to where we are today means that there will be war, of course – it cannot be avoided, but it will be fought in Asia and not with us.
There may still be a few small decisions to make, such as when we provoke Russia and other minor details, but the die is cast – this could not be balanced before Article 5 for Russia.
Over the years, I have also learned to lean closer to “boldly ventured, half won” without stepping into red risk, which is good – it reduces the gap between what you can get and where you stop to be on the safe side.
But what about Ukraine, you shout, they are about to lose according to Johan No.1.
Did you fall for the easy one?
Back on topic – a lot has happened during the fall, which according to a world-leading blogger would be the most important months of the war, which it turned out to be.
Ukraine turned out to have an offensive strategic reserve as said blogger claimed, and they were first deployed NE of Pokrovsk – it went so-so and they spent two months clearing an area.
After that, they have recaptured Kupiansk, cleared Pokrovsk a few times, and something else – each time it is the elite forces we guessed were part of the offensive strategic reserve that are fighting.

They have learned to fight in a drone-saturated environment in 2025, which NO other country’s defense forces can handle yet, they are completely alone in the world to be able to fight like this, and when we have difficulties shooting down 4 drones over a military base in Europe, a brigade shoots down hundreds of drones per month, admittedly Azov but there are many up at that level.
And they are doing well – no runaway losses or kamikaze attacks there because we would have seen it in the movie as our offensive in 2023.
Russia didn’t want to be left behind and has now deployed the 76th GAAD at Pokrovsk – the whole division.
It was previously moved from the Dnieper front if you remember from previous posts, because you do remember when you read and take notes 🧐
They have been in recovery for sure for over a year, are a priority unit and a tactical reserve and rapid reaction force.
Right now, they are absolutely crushing Ukraine over there at Pokrovsk, they haven’t learned a damn thing and are driving straight into the wall directly just like during an entire war.

Since Europe has now made a U-turn, it means that we will not stop Ukraine the next time things start to go well for them – I dare to claim that even though we have been massively burned for almost four years.
The next question was how Ukraine would fight in the war of 2025 – the eternal retreat under the flask-bottom-glasses-Chinese multitasking digital battlefield was sweaty and we have guessed that the Chinese weakness is movement, but there have been no reasons at all to rejoice for about a year, and besides, Trump has been driving his plots that took Ukraine close to the edge for a while.
Now Ukraine has shown that they can handle the war of 2025 and the strategic offensive reserve should be around 60,000 strong if I have managed to decipher Militaryland correctly.
One of Russia’s best units showed that they have not learned anything at all – THERE is the reason for positive-positive.
This is where we stand now…
The war is won but now it shall also be won – everything will get better from here and many will have their analyses turned upside down once again now that they have just decided that it will be WW1 trench warfare after all – reality is their worst enemy.
May our leaders in the West just manage to refrain from being talked down by Putin who has now increased the pressure significantly together with Trump but it is 2025 and Macron has made peace with his wife to be able to handle this now.
Positive-Positive.
Mango-Mussolini has gone way too far in the chair valor the old conscientious objector and Epstein-hanger. He gets a thumbs down from me.

And Zelensky humiliated Putin and Trump in Kupiansk – historically (choose to believe that he was there).

This pretty much sums up Trump’s brilliant peace negotiation, an orange clown.

Don't forget to donate, Ukraine's cause is ours! Support Ukraine!

UK is starting to get in order even though Starmer is having a rough time.
Morning report 🇺🇦 on yet another slight decrease in Russian pressure on the front, with only a slightly higher pressure in the southwest of Donbas.
The Ukrainian pressure, calculated as the number of attacks not counted as Russian and subtracted from the total, increased slightly.

Today’s Johan No.1 of the positive-positive kind is security in a sparkling 💖 packaging.

Good activity in the thread today, soon over 700 comments.
The dust is swirling 💨
Great article Johan!
I myself have been under the ice of all the negativity and opposition towards Ukraine from the American side.
The sluggishness in Europe to really stand up to the Russians and so on.
The energy drains out of me and I just become more resigned the longer the war continues.
That’s when it’s good that you arrange a yellow wall that highlights important Ukrainian progress in this darkness!
I rarely comment, but I almost always read.
Keep fighting!
Image – 360,000 Russian soldiers to Belarus.
It is a considerable amount, hardly needed to keep Belarus within the empire.
Probably 2AC so 2×15000
Aha, so a zero errors, that’s quite a lot in such a context. Is it those left behind after Zapad, guessed they would remain after the exercise.
@tatarigami_ua I have serious doubts about the claim that 360,000 Russian soldiers are stationed in Belarus near the NATO border. That number is nearly twice the size of the initial invasion force in Ukraine in early 2022, and there is no evidence of such a massive concentration of troops.
Much work causes the intensity of the comments to decrease. Very nice yellow wall today! Really nice that the compass points towards positive positive!
+1 👌
What do you think will be the next step when Russia does not approve the proposal, since Ukraine does not give Russia the areas they want?
Lavrov had commented that the USA does approve Russia taking over areas with Russian-speaking inhabitants. RUSSIA CLAIMS: USA says yes to countries becoming Russian Wouldn’t surprise me if Trump had agreed to that though.
Will the pressure now increase on Ukraine or Russia? And what about those 360,000 Russians in Belarus, are they waiting for the right moment to enter Lithuania to change Europe’s mind, or will they start an offensive in western Ukraine if things get too hot in the east?
There is much that can still happen, and what will Europe do if any of the above happens? I guess the USA will hurry home. Maybe there will be a “coincidental” war in Venezuela at the same time, that would be quite a coincidence.

‼️🇷🇺🇨🇳💥🇯🇵🇺🇸Tokyo on Edge as Three Power Standoff Escalates
A tense three nation aircraft carrier standoff is unfolding near Tokyo, Japan. The atmosphere is extremely volatile, and a major conflict could break out at any time.
China has dispatched two Type 052D destroyers, crossing the Miyako Strait and moving toward the Tokyo area. At the same time, USS Washington has rushed from its Guam base into Tokyo Bay, signaling a rapid US response.
Russia has further raised the stakes by sending strategic bombers to support China.
The situation around Japan is tightening fast. One wrong move could change everything.

Oops, sounds fiery, but I don’t think it will catch fire right there. China wants to scare Japan, but hardly wants to start a war with them, possibly show power so they don’t meddle in Taiwan when China decides to go after them.

Final toll: 10 vehicles destroyed, 40 soldiers killed. Surviving troops who tried to continue on foot failed to disperse and were hit by a single FPV.
Frontline report: Russia’s “surprise” motorcycle assault near Pokrovsk runs into waiting drones.

Thank you so much no1! Superb analysis, very fun with positive-positive! Looking forward to the next yellow wall! If not before Christmas, then I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! You have made a big difference in 2025!
I agree with David 100% on this!
