Ukraine has carried out several attacks against Russia during the evening and night

Kyiv Independent reports that Ukraine has, among other things, attacked a chemical industry in the Samara region. Images and videos on social media show smoke rising from the KuibyshevAzot chemical plant in Tolyatti. The information has not yet been confirmed, and there is also no information about the extent of the damage. Read more here.

Ukraine has also carried out attacks on the Russian-occupied Luhansk, with reports indicating hits on a transformer station and a “metallurgical plant” (e.g. could be a smelter, steel mill, or other type of industrial facility). Posts can be found here and here.

Today’s report on Russian losses shows that KWIA has now dropped a bit below a thousand again, while recent losses have brought the seven-day average up to around 1100. Some armor, quite a bit of artillery, many soft vehicles, and a lot of UAVs.

        Of course, there is that risk, especially early in the war I know that it was written that the USA, among others, probably do not want to see Putin removed because there were even more “arrogant” ones who then risked taking over.
        Many high-ranking military officials apparently advocated for attacking Ukraine with significantly larger forces than what was done.

        So, it could actually get significantly worse with someone else, but my guess is that most people in Russia are starting to realize that they are digging their own grave and that the best course of action would be to withdraw.

      China has been strangely quiet. After all, they are the largest importer of Iranian oil, over 80% of Iran’s oil went to China by 2025, according to Reuters. I don’t think they would be particularly happy about Trump having control over their oil supplies.

      They filled up their oil reserves at the end of last year, so they probably had an idea of what was coming, but sometimes the breaking point comes for them too.

      It seems like the weapons they delivered to Iran didn’t have such a great effect, or maybe they are saving them for a possible invasion. Of course, we don’t know exactly what they have delivered.

        Iran is releasing some ships, China may not have been hit so hard yet, but as you write, it would seem that the USA is planning to snatch Iran’s oil, maybe China will not stand by and just watch.

        Now a lot of deliveries went to Iran from China even though no one really knows what they consisted of, but regardless, it would not surprise me if China is already trying to find ways to support them further to counteract the USA.

    In addition to looser legislation regarding AI, the group’s purpose is to support political candidates who align with Trump’s policies in this area.

    I have a bit of difficulty understanding Japan and that they allow this.

    I really hope it doesn’t end with them ending up on Russia’s side. Considering that Trump has been tough on them regarding tariffs, apart from China, it was probably them and South Korea who faced the toughest levels, especially in terms of car exports and the car industry, which is one of their major export industries. So maybe this contributes to them considering finding other partners to cooperate with. Unfortunately, money seems to outweigh everything.

      Approaching Russia, I believe, is an impossibility for Japan. The countries have not yet signed a peace treaty after World War II. Japan claims that the four islands in the south of the Kurils belong to Japan but receives no support from the Russians who took the entire island chain. A thorn in Japan’s side.       The chain has over 630 stores + e-commerce and generates almost 700 million dollars.

      They decreased revenue between 2024 and 2025 from about 57 billion rubles to 49 billion rubles, and if they close down almost about 10% of their stores and lay off 15% of the staff, one might assume that they will decrease revenue by at least another 10%.
