The worst part is the progressive tax, the higher the price the higher the tax, and then a small handout back when it gets too expensive. I understand that we have EU regulations to follow and solidarity, but the rest of the EU doesn’t have our cold climate so they don’t reach the same kWh/year even if the electricity is just as expensive.

This MUST be addressed because we can’t export so southern Europe has reasonable prices and then we consume 5 times more than them at the same price. We should reasonably have the same annual cost within the EU per person?
Is this even up for discussion?

Anecdotes, but when you talk to various retailers, they all say that electricity prices and inflation are felt by their customers. I haven’t experienced inflation in the same way as electricity prices, you almost feel bad from the elen.nu site, it should be shut down 🙂
However, a tripled electricity cost is money that has to come from somewhere and quite a few people live, if not on the margin, then with just a few thousand SEK left per month, so consumption decreases instead.
