I understand electricity support – inflation – direct targeted support to groups and that it is not preferable unless you vote deep red.
However, we have a change over 2 years that has increased the cost by maybe 6-7 times and there are many households that cannot absorb this cost, and we learned the other day that electricity companies are disconnecting customers who do not pay. Now I am talking about S3, electricity area S4 is probably going to be even worse?
There is a bit of a national crisis about the whole thing as we head into a winter and potentially electricity bills of 15,000 SEK – 20,000 SEK/month for a household that is not energy optimized, or more in S4. I have looked at houses in the nearby area and almost all have direct electric heating and an air-to-air heat pump.
For example, one could redirect part of the aid to ensure that Swedes who cannot handle this level of electricity bill do not freeze to death this winter. The money is readily available.
Then we have the whole group that can handle the electricity bill but have to cut down on everything else, should they get electricity support?
If we are never going to have cheap electricity again, it would probably be good if a national program for favorable loans to energy-efficient houses could be started.

I received a helpful-to-keep-in-mind letter from my electricity company now that the electricity price is high, I was advised not to use the dryer, which I never have, and then we shouldn’t have the temperature higher than 21 degrees.
Now we have Ben Dover temperature indoors – just over 18 degrees, so I feel like a winner, better than the electricity company’s suggestion and ahead of the curve.
