It was the same without district heating a few years ago, the big cost was never the electricity consumption but the grid fee + tax. Now it’s the opposite, you actually rejoice at the electricity grid bill.
VAT is progressive and now I have the impression that the tax is a fixed fee per kWh but a reasonable first step would be to reduce VAT and tax to zero.
Then the grid fee is probably progressive as well, which is almost fraud, or does it only increase with consumption in kWh, which is also not correct, anyway it is highest during the winter half of the year.
The support should only be for December – February.
Since everyone pays tax, an electricity support should be equal for everyone I think – large consumers often pay the most tax?

I’m a bit biased, but an electricity support for December – February is probably needed because the bills can become unmanageable for ordinary households with waterborne heating. 15,000 – 30,000 kWh/year is probably a normal range and around 60% is consumed during these months? If electricity prices, including VAT, surcharges, and taxes, reach 4-6 SEK or higher in SE4, it can be difficult for ordinary households with two working parents to manage.
So M becomes the new subsidy party, in other words, that was probably unexpected 🙂
