I have had a bunch of small contractors over at my place to look at jobs for the summer, painting, windows, facade plaster, and a bit of other things.
The window painters had a lot, the facade plasterers/masons have lost 60% of booked jobs in the order book between September and today. Many new constructions have been put on hold. The carpenters could also come on short notice and were eager.
We have also requested some quotes to tidy up the downstairs which is a lunar landscape, and you get one SMS per quote provider per week asking if you have decided, and all wished Merry Christmas and then Happy New Year.
Highly anecdotal but I think the future industry seems to be windows and that many now have a lot of slack instead of being fully booked. The last time we did this round was early autumn and then it was barely possible to get anyone here.
