Ukraine is frustrated that the Biden administration does not allow them to shell the airfields inside Russia. One almost wonders how that 100km restriction came about β did they call Putin to double-check that no airfields were within 100km?
I can understand this β they had functioning electricity production last fall and then the West chooses to completely stop sending LV missiles so they run out and RU can then knock out most of the electricity production β so incredibly endlessly unnecessary.

Wonder how long it will take before Romanov commits suicide after this killing. It largely confirms our picture of the situation up at Kharkiv. I give him until the weekend. Almost like in the good old days with Girkin or Prigozhin. One starts to wonder for what purpose Romanov risks his life, a bit too anecdotal to dare to bet on but Putin has really made an effort to avoid having to read things like this.
Interesting that he confirms the purpose was a buffer zone β we guessed that in the thread, right?

Another one worth reading and he will not commit suicide after this since he operates in the West.

Here you have a Ukrainian tank brigade, powerful units to say the least π²
– 4 tank battalions
– 1 mechanized battalion
– 2 rifle battalions (motorized soft vehicles?)
– artillery, LV, reconnaissance and drones.
https://militaryland.net/ukraine/armed-forces/1st-tank-brigade/
Ukraine has pulled offensive brigades and armored brigades from Bakhmut and Avdiivka. This reasonably means they consider themselves able to hold the areas with what they have?
Northern Luhansk, like the northern front, has seen a significant uptick of offensive brigades from the NG and the army as well as tank brigades.
The 3rd Assault brigade is in northern Luhansk together with other offensive brigades like the 1st storm brigade, 12 Azov, and some very experienced mech brigades.
These offensive units were set up ahead of the spring offensive 2023 by the NG and the army and only accepted volunteers with a strong CV with a lot of Russian kills on it.
The artillery and drone weapons have not kept up at all and are at Avdiivka, Bakhmut, the southern front, and Dnipro.
So the last step should then be that artillery and drone weapons are regrouped and we will get that from Russian sources at northern Luhansk and the northern front when everything around them explodes.
Or do we believe that Ukraine has no plans but pulls all their better units from the areas where the Russians attack so they start losing ground to deploy them in areas RU does not attack to be able to have 3:1 numerical superiority which is not needed since they always defend at a numerical disadvantage?
It is not a bad idea to hold front sections with smaller units and a violent umbrella of drones and indirect fire to keep the trench Russians in check.
Then we have JDAMS and HIMARS that can pour enormous death with just a few fire units so it is no longer just artillery brigades that need to be regrouped but a couple of HIMARS fire units and Mig-29s getting targets at the northern front are enough.
Then there is probably a bit more that I should have a seagull on but it might become clearer later, there is something that does not look as it should. The more I sit and look at this, the more reasonable it looks with a multi-stage rocket and I think you can begin to sense what they have planned.
Good moves in the comments in the thread with about 600 per day β could it be 17 degrees and rain that contributes maybe π
Here in West Africa it is sunny and warm as usual, the greenhouse effect is constantly reminded but the oil generators are running hot so AC cools us down. One point worth making is that I think there is a huge business for solar power and Sodium-ion batteries in Africa since whole countries are still powered by oil generators. I have thought about starting to experiment with that when we spend more time on our land in Angola instead of getting scolded at a job every day for coffee money.
It was very interesting what Surtrutn wrote yesterday that RU has started a total disinformation campaign regarding the peace proposals β that explains if nothing else all the different bids flying around that have made it really messy for a few days π
Then I canβt judge what is disinformation and what is verifiable but Trump now seems to be seriously dragged into the Ep@tein affair?
Someone who knows this should clarify and it should be able to hurt him badly because no sensible person can go and vote for a ped@phile.

In the UK, Putin has probably taken a huge hit β Keir Starmer is a pretty interesting person and he is certainly not pro-Russian. He is also not a typical left-left so if he has good control over the party it could probably become a good government overall. But some minister appointments look like pure activists so maybe a bit early to celebrate.
Le Pen has now promised that Storm Shadow will not be launched on Russian soil if she wins β that is a bit too specific a campaign promise that has zero bearing on domestic politics which she probably focuses on anyway and it signals to me a commissioned job from Putin 100%.
Biden has by the way once again double-confirmed that he is the presidential candidate if anyone wondered. He has no intention of throwing in the towel and is back full of energy.
It is a bit sad that the Democrats in the USA seem to have an internal fight. If I have understood this correctly, the debate was so early that it was before a formal nomination for presidential candidate had occurred, and a debate has never been so early before. Then Biden probably could have managed without a debate with Trump β again if I have understood this correctly, the proposal for a debate came from the Democrats?
The rumors are all over the place and it is tricky to know what is true.
As a Swede, I am naturally interested in a president who will be best for the EU and Ukraine, since Ukraineβs fate is our fate whether we want it or not, and I cannot see that Trump is that.
The extremist parties are not fit to govern, but there is always a grain of truth there, and that is my constant point β the groundwork for this was laid 25-30 years ago, and now that the situation is critical and we face the global conflict of our time, it is time to straighten up as an elected representative with a mandate.
Without becoming domestic political, I drop this from Aftonbladet from 2023 and Expressen now that the Economic Crime Authority and the police’s leaked report also confirm and support this together with Denmark’s investigative journalism.

When Russia falls, the criminal clans and gangs will also become weaker because they lose a strong support. No revolution happens without a third party supporting the rebels, as the saying goes, and Russia (and others!!) have identified our criminal clans and gangs as the rebel movements of our time and actively support them.
There is enormous “know-how” these countries contribute as well as drugs and weapons.
And as previously mentioned, foreign powers can exploit this infrastructure today, which Iran has already been proven to do thanks to Mossad doing its job.
Just so everyone understands, Russia is in full hybrid war with the West.

Here you begin to understand why RU drones get nowhere β now itβs getting advanced air defense against drones.

I think this is worth highlighting because history is always adapted, but towards the end of the Continuation War in Finland, the Soviet Union launched a violent offensive aimed at reaching Helsinki and forcing Finland to surrender unconditionally.
The Finnish Defence Forces gathered everything they had and during late June β early July 1944 they conducted active defensive battles along the Tali-Ihantala road (I think it was?) which was so successful that it gave the country a chance for a negotiated peace instead.
https://sv.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slaget_vid_Tali-Ihantala
It was that close that Finland would have become a country among the Eastern Bloc states and Sweden would have had a catastrophic security situation during the Cold War instead of our protection behind Finland.
We have 50,000 Finnish soldiers, Swedish volunteers (and a German air squadron) to thank for living in freedom. What would have happened if Finland had fallen in 1944 we can only speculate on, but certainly nothing good for Sweden.
History repeats itself and now we have the Ukrainian shooters to thank for that we will continue to live in freedom.
One should be very humble before those who sacrifice themselves for the freedom of others, and just as our situation would have been abysmally worse if Finland had given up, we will have a global conflict if Ukraine gives up.
This also applies to Finland.

Then I want to repost this one with Kadyrov doing a completely failed dance in front of Putin and with a terrified Lukashenko behind in the Russian version of “Little Stars”.

And remind that Cornucop wrote a readable post under my post yesterday that you must not miss π
Newly taped and happy when now the film is from which you never know with that account.

This one was up but fun that Ukraine managed to take out a ship in the Baltic Fleet in the best spy novel style.

Itβs getting urgent to get the popular discontent going in Belarus because soon the country will be a Chinese military base with a hedgehog of all kinds of missiles.
What does Putin think about this?

Lukashenko has also stolen 7,000 Wagner troops from Putin.

Quick check on the elevation maps, so yes, UA does have the dominant terrain in that area.
There are units to draw from at Bakhmut, I guess, and according to earlier reports, they are moving units to be able to carry out these offensives now.
These kinds of antics usually cost the Russians about a dozen brigades, and if they pull them from Bakhmut after the massacre at Chasiv Yar, they could become exposed there because they presumably move the ones with the best capability.
It will be interesting to see where they steal the units from and which UA units will arrive there.
