Ukraine carried out a drone attack on the Ilsky oil refinery in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai during the night, leading to a large fire. Russian and Ukrainian channels report explosions in the area around the refinery, and governors confirm that drones attacked the area where the refinery is located and that debris from downed drones damaged a residential building and that fires broke out at two companies in the district.
The Ilsky refinery is located about 500 kilometers from the border and is one of the largest refineries in southern Russia. Overall, it is a medium-sized refinery producing about 6.6 million tons of fuel per year. Read more here.
Sweden and Finland agree, Ukraine’s cause is ours!
Standing on Ukraine’s side, Russia is of course the great enemy. Finland’s and Sweden’s air forces conducted their first joint operation on September 24, using Finnish F/A-18 Hornets and Swedish JAS 39 Gripens to identify and track Russian transport aircraft of the types Tu-134, MiG-31, and Su-30, moving in international airspace over the Gulf of Finland. The Finnish Air Force says the enhanced cooperation now enables joint identification missions and rapid reactions and warnings (QRA).
“This is what close cooperation looks like in practice,” says General Jonas Wikman, commander of the Swedish Air Force. “Built over the years on trust and strong personal relationships, we can now operate seamlessly together – as air forces, as nations, and as allies.” Read more at Kyiv Independent.

Today’s KWIA is tied for second place this year and overall the numbers are good. 576 soft vehicles, for example, are enough for ninth place in the record table, and the same applies to 96 artillery units. 20 of other armored vehicles tie for third place this year.

The 1676th day of the Russian Federation’s full-scale armed aggression against Ukraine has begun.
During the last 24 hours, a total of 205 combat engagements were recorded.
Yesterday, the enemy conducted 79 airstrikes, during which 277 guided aerial bombs were dropped. Additionally, the attackers used 9,223 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,636 shellings against communities and our troops’ positions, of which 44 were with rocket artillery.
In the Sumy region, the communities of Havrylova-Sloboda, Seredyna-Buda, Tovstodubove, Ulanove, Fotovyzh, Yastrubshchyna, Hyryne, Sopych, Bachivsk, Potapivka, Korenok, Rivne, Bezsalivka, Neskuchne, Volfyne, Pavlivka, Kindrativka, Rohizne, Pysarivka, Mala Korchakivka, Oleksiivka, Khrapivshchyna, Mohrytsia, and Myropillia were subjected to hostile artillery shelling, as well as Mykhalchyna Sloboda in the Chernihiv region. Additionally, the areas around Korenok, Vakalivshchyna, and Sumy were subjected to airstrikes.
During the last 24 hours, the defense forces’ air, missile units, and artillery hit three command and launch sites for unmanned aerial vehicles, six artillery systems, and one enemy ammunition depot.
On the northern Slobozhansky and Kursk sectors, our defenders stopped seven enemy assault attempts during the last 24 hours. The occupiers conducted four airstrikes with 11 guided aerial bombs and 128 shellings against our troops’ positions and communities.
On the southern Slobozhansky sector, Ukrainian units repelled 11 enemy attacks. The attackers tried to advance near the communities of Lyman, Synelnykove, Vilcha, and Chaikivka, as well as in the direction of Kudiivka, Izbytske, Zakharivka, Malyi Burluk, and Putnykove.
On the Kupiansk sector, the enemy attacked once in the area around Kivsharivka.
Attempts to break into our defense were repelled on the Lyman sector, where the occupiers conducted three attacks in the areas around Kopanky and Novoselivka.
On the Sloviansk sector, the enemy carried out five assault attempts near Kryva Luka and in the direction of Starodubivka, Mykolaivka, and Orikhuvatka.
On the Kramatorsk sector, the enemy did not conduct any assault operations during the last 24 hours.
On the Kostiantynivka sector, 21 attacks were recorded. The attackers conducted assault operations in the areas around Kostiantynivka, Stepanivka, Novoselivka, Rusyn Yar, and Vilne.
On the Pokrovsk sector, our defenders stopped 21 attacks. The enemy was active in the areas around Dorozhnie, Svitlé, Vodianske, Krasnopodillia, and Molodetske, as well as in the direction of Hannivka, Novyi Donbas, Dobropillia, Serhiivka, and Novopavlivka.
On the Oleksandrivka sector, our defenders stopped two enemy attempts to advance in the direction of Zaporizke.
On the Huljajpole sector, the occupiers attacked seven times. The enemy tried to advance in the direction of the communities of Rizdvianka, Vozdvyzhivka, and Kopani.
On the Orikhiv sector, our defenders stopped two enemy attempts to advance in the direction of Pavlivka.
On the Prydniprovsk sector, the enemy did not conduct any assault operations.
On the Volyn and Polissya sectors, no signs have been detected that the enemy is forming offensive force groupings.
In total, the Russian attackers’ losses during the last 24 hours amounted to 1,710 personnel. Additionally, seven tanks, 20 armored fighting vehicles, 96 artillery systems, three multiple launch rocket systems, four air defense systems, 12 ground-based missile systems, 1,445 unmanned aerial vehicles, 576 vehicles, and eight units of special equipment were neutralized.
