  1.

Russian press increases for the third day in a row. The attack pressure for 24 hours is still a bit below last week’s peak at the beginning of the offensive that we can still see. In this morning’s report, the Russians have opened up a minor offensive in the south, Orikhivsk 10, which has long been around a few or no attacks.

  2. “❗️Moldova thanked Ukraine for the rapid restoration of the power system after Russian attacks Moldova’s Foreign Minister Mihai Popșoi thanked Ukrainian partners for the prompt restoration of the Isaccea–Vulcănești power transmission line after Russian strikes.

“Swift actions were critically important for the stability of Moldova’s energy system and for preventing large-scale blackouts.”

  3. “An additional 20 ships, two of which per day, are now allowed to pass through the Strait of Hormuz under the Pakistani flag. This is stated by Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar in a post on X.

He states that this is a “welcome and constructive gesture” from Iran:

“It is a messenger of peace and will contribute to stability in the region.”

Earlier this week, Iran gave the green light to allow ten Pakistani oil tankers to pass through the Strait of Hormuz, writes TT.”

  4. Two of the Coast Guard’s ships that Sweden sent to Ukraine have not arrived, despite it being a year since the government donated them. This is reported by Ekot.

The reason is that Turkey has prevented the ships from traveling to the Black Sea through the Bosphorus strait. The country claims that the ships are military support.

Sweden argues that the ships are civilian.

“It is crucial that we deliver all the support to Ukraine that Sweden provides,” says Carl-Oskar Bohlin (M), Minister for Civil Defense, to the radio.

    1. The Coast Guard belongs to the navy in almost all nations except in Sweden. In Finland, Denmark, and Norway, the Coast Guard is military. There should have been a dialogue with Turkey before the journey began. What should be done now when some Coast Guard vessels are to have certain armaments? In the past, the icebreakers belonged to the navy with crew from the fleet, which made it difficult to cooperate with the Finnish icebreakers that were civilian. My proposal is to connect the Coast Guard to the navy.

  5. In the Russian Murmansk region, students will soon have a new subject in the curriculum: training in killing with drones, reports The Barents Observer.

Teachers in the region received training earlier in March in everything from drone repair and maintenance to constructing the vehicles. The practical aspects included map reading, flight simulators, and physical drone flying.

These skills will then be passed on to the students by the teachers.

According to the Russian exile newspaper, Russia is in the process of introducing this education into the national curriculum.

It is also part of a nationwide campaign where the state is trying to attract young people to drone units within the military. The Russian Ministry of Defense also offers students one-year contracts for service in such units. However, the contracts are described as unclear and practically lack end dates, which could bind them to the military indefinitely.

  6. “One of Donald Trump’s goals in the war against Iran is to disable the country’s robot capacity. However, the American military can only confirm with certainty that one third of the robots have been destroyed, according to five sources for Reuters.

Another third is difficult to assess, but is believed to be buried, damaged, or destroyed.

The same applies to Iran’s drone capacity, one third is estimated to be destroyed, according to one of the sources.

This contrasts with President Trump’s statement on Thursday that Iran has “very few robots left”.”

  7. 🇷🇺⚰️🪦 “80-90% of the Russian army’s personnel losses occur at the initial stage of crossing the front line. They die on the way, even before engaging in battle with the enemy — without even seeing them at all.

Most of the losses come from FPV drones and drone ambushes, which Ukrainian formations are acquiring en masse.” The famous EU military propagandist and Z-blogger, Yuri Kotenok, has finally revealed where 90% of Putin’s army’s “excess people” disappear.”

    1. That looks like good value for money. Cheap drone vs. expensive high-tech.

I wonder if the Americans are going to seek revenge in some way? But they definitely don’t need any help from the man with no cards up his sleeve.

    2. I certainly hope that the Iran war will result in the fall of the mullah regime, and that Iran can flourish as a democracy. Trump has indeed said that mullahs are totally fine, as long as they are willing to make a deal 💰 with Trump, so I hope 🌮 is wrong or lying as usual. However, I can’t help but think that it’s somewhat fair that very expensive equipment is going up in smoke. They should feel the pinch in their wallets considering the kind of mischief they have voted into power, even though the alternative wasn’t very good either.

  8. Ukraine has decided to keep that port closed.

“Overnight Ust-Luga in Russia’s Leningrad region was hit again. Reports say another tank at the Novatek terminal caught fire.”
    https://bsky.app/profile/wartranslated.bsky.social/post/3mi6lu6vlfs23

“Ukraine attacked the important Russian port of Ust-Luga in the Gulf of Finland again last night, Bloomberg reports. The governor writes on Telegram that a fire broke out in the port as a result of the attack. At least 31 drones were launched.

This is the latest in a series of Ukrainian attacks on Ust-Luga. Work at the port was halted on Wednesday, which has major consequences for Russian oil exports. Together with the port of Primorsk, Ust-Luga accounts for around 45 percent of Russia’s oil exports by sea. …”

  9. Fram i Natten

Satellite images from Primorsk and Ust-Luga show ongoing fires. In Primorsk, at least 6 tanks were destroyed with another 3 possibly damaged/destroyed. In Ust-Luga, four tanks were destroyed including pipeline infrastructure. Another 4 tanks might have taken damage. #Russia
