Russia carried out a major attack during the night against several Ukrainian cities using both rockets and drones. They hit residential buildings and at least three people have been killed while sixteen have been injured. The numbers are likely to be adjusted upwards during the day. Zelenskyy warned of a major attack just a few hours before it began. Read more at Kyiv Independent.

When I look at the statistics, I always wonder how many soft vehicles there really can be in Russia, considering the high number that are taken out every day, so eventually these should run out, I think.
Soft are well passenger cars, trucks, motorcycles, etc. Then I would say that there are more or less infinitely many of them unfortunately.
Don’t know if they come from war-placed civilian cars, if so, there should be at least one annoyed average Ivan per destroyed vehicle.
The losses began to rise around the same time as films started to emerge about them using simpler vehicles such as motorcycles, those Chinese “golf carts,” and those “limps” (those resembling small minivans).
My guess is that Russia is starting to run out of both military and civilian transport vehicles (civilians might exist, but they probably don’t want to bear the cost). Instead, they are using simpler, cheaper, and therefore smaller vehicles with less capacity.
This means that many more are needed to maintain logistics, which in turn leads to higher casualty figures because there are many more targets for Ukraine’s drones to strike.

The Department of Defense Pentagon in the USA is removing its press room for journalists, reports American media. Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell writes on X that they will remove the so-called “correspondent corridor” – where journalists have worked for decades. Instead, it will be moved to a nearby annex, but it is unclear when it will be put into use.
The decision comes after a federal judge ruled in favor of the New York Times newspaper after they sued the department over the new press rules. Last fall, the Pentagon introduced requirements for journalists to sign forms with rules to report from inside the building. The judge agreed with the NYT that it violates the American Constitution regarding due process and freedom of speech.
The Pentagon will appeal the ruling, claiming that they can no longer control journalists from a security perspective.
Iran is said to have received the initial points for potential negotiations with the USA. This is confirmed by a high-ranking Iranian official to CBS News. The points are said to have been handed over to Iran through an intermediary.
“We have received points from the USA via intermediaries and they are being reviewed,” the official said.
The information comes after Donald Trump claimed to have had productive talks with Iran and therefore is halting attacks on energy targets for a couple of days. However, this has not been confirmed by Iran, whose Ministry of Foreign Affairs initially denied that any talks took place.
Iran launched several attacks against Israel overnight on Tuesday, reports The Times of Israel. Shortly after midnight, a powerful explosion was heard in Jerusalem and later during the night, air raid sirens were heard in several parts of the country.
“In northern Israel, cluster ammunition hit a residential area in Haifa. One person is said to have been injured in the attack. At least six people were also injured after buildings were hit by Iranian rockets in Tel Aviv.
Both Saudi Arabia and Kuwait have reported that Iran has fired rockets and drones at the countries.
In state-controlled media, Iranian sources claim that the US and Israel have attacked gas facilities and residences, resulting in casualties. Donald Trump stated on Monday that he would not attack Iranian energy targets for five days.”

“Investors poured over half a billion dollars into the oil market about 15 minutes before Donald Trump’s post caused oil prices to plummet. This is reported by the Financial Times, which has spoken with several stock market players.
“My gut feeling, after monitoring the markets for the past 25 years, is that this is very abnormal. […] It’s an unusually large deal for a day without any risk events… Someone just got a lot richer,” says a trader at a major hedge fund.
According to Tim Skirrow at the analysis firm Energy Aspects, the trading volume was indeed higher than normal for the morning hours, but not extreme enough to draw any definite conclusions.”

I thought we would see it turn up again but the overall trend is still slowly declining, we’ll see how the Russian offensive goes, maybe it has already stalled.
Tomorrow I see as a signpost. If it continues up then the offensive is not over. Otherwise, it is probably stone dead.
Interesting curves. Very good with 7 and 28-day averages. I have had a bit of difficulty reading the explanatory text (on the phone) but now it worked well.
👍
If the USA stops selling LNG to us, what will happen?
Then we will have to work with bonfires to keep ourselves warm. Especially since it’s not an election year next year.
Then we will sign the trade agreement 😀
EU should respond that if one is not allowed to buy gas, one is no longer interested in continuing to buy American government bonds and feels compelled to order the sale of these.
Could the USA have created a crisis where those obligations will be sucked up pronto?
The entire MENA region is currently buttering up the USA and has unlimited money?
Eu points out Russia for having “weaponized” migration against the EU MXT.
Don’t you usually write that you don’t believe in that?
And Europe was totally infiltrated just as we wrote.
good with elections in Hungary
Poland’s president is pro-Russian
Is not a FUCKING LOT of special forces on their way to Iran?
I don’t think there will be peace there, Trump calmed the markets with words only
Hmm. Some thoughts. I can’t help but listen to various Youtubers about the situation in Moscow where mobile internet is down and Telegram has been more or less shut down. Concern about demonstrations being planned and coordinated online?
And where is Putin? The man obsessed with his own security. Is he hiding somewhere with his private security detail? Can he still rule the realm? A strong man who appears weak is no strength in Russia. He may soon be gone. Dead or fled to North Korea, after three helicopter changes.
I believe the attack on the oil port in Primorsk was just too much for the Russians. What significance does an oil price have if the oil cannot be exported? To be continued. Thank you for letting me brainstorm freely!
A violent Ukrainian offensive on this 🤩🤩🤩
I think he usually keeps himself hidden during a crisis. I hope this is a gigantic crisis that brings down young Mr. Putin.
It’s probably on its way to becoming a gigantic crisis entirely created by the Ukrainian shooting, but we’re not really there yet, maybe?
Very many funds that restrict withdrawals now, a signal as good as any
What is the name of Mållgan in Arabic? Or maybe in Persian…?
I think this is repeating itself, “junk bonds” I was too young to have experienced but before 2008 it was those “mortgage backed securities” with leverage and now it’s all leverage again.
Funds give you good returns between crises but then when a new financial crisis like 2008 comes, chaos ensues and it’s impossible to know who will survive.
Risk is then just a word for those who themselves consider it force majeure, kind of, and above all, there is no one outside the fund who knows if they have followed their own guidelines.
I have some silly little KPA pension from some job in my youth but they send a bundle of papers every year – now it has already decreased by a few % before the financial crisis begins and it will be interesting to see what happens with it in the next two years.
Pension funds seem to be just a way for smart money to be able to dispose of their holdings before the crisis hits.
Sure thing – just want to check who usually writes that –
-The USA does what is good for them.
-The USA is just like the bank, not your friend.
I think Trump’s threat of an LNG stop from the USA if we don’t promptly sign his unfavorable trade agreement falls within both of the above categories 🤣🤣🤣
He has learned.
From China.
All against us 😶
European shutdown of significant nuclear power production may not have been entirely successful.
But like so much other European policy, it was based on an ambition to save the planet and its entire population, as well as its future equivalent. In that case, one must be prepared to make some sacrifices of their own.
I have long been interested in this phenomenon that China, the USA, and India are increasing emissions so much that they increase overall because we buy everything from them.
If we had manufactured ourselves, we would have produced a SMALLER CO2 footprint than what we buy today.
So none of the arguments about net zero and all that has been put forward over the years are true –
– either there is something else behind it and it is being used as an excuse.
– or everyone who has worked for it is so incompetent that they have cheated their way into their jobs.
Jockesoft – the category of soft vehicles has an endless amount unfortunately, we went through it in 2023 or thereabouts.
