We saw this coming (we think) and sold a highly mortgaged villa in a better area in Stockholm and bought a house in a smaller town. We had locked the loans until 2023 and I tried to repay early to refinance, but then we no longer got the discount from the bank. Changing lenders was also not possible for various reasons. We’ll see, but this was not a risk we were willing to take because we felt it was starting to blow up into the perfect storm.
