Then there is the whole thing with nationalism which is amplified 100 times in war, to us it sounds a bit silly but to them it is important. Someone asked why Valhalla always came up in the films for example.

But yes, there were nationalist and ultras in large numbers who participated in the ATO and then they have probably phased them out.

If they had 3000 T80s and 600 T90s the trains would be full of them, period.
They have probably been in depots in the west and the older models in the east.
Looking at the pictures of what they have taken they probably had to take those that still work.
T62 and T55 are absolutely sh@t. Rolling coffins and some debaters try to claim they are good as IFVs and deadly.
But we got to see T62 in combat in Kherson for example.
They will probably roll for a month max before they stop at some roadside?
This is death throes, if you have deployed your last usable units in the battles but can’t bring up armor it’s because you don’t have it.
Now they don’t perform much better with decent armor anyway, but it gets even worse with the T62 and T55…
The air force – we have the same there with technical faults and lack of spare parts + pilot shortage. Not all of the hundreds of planes are flight-ready.
Then RU has deployed T90S in Ukraine, which are the export version manufactured to order. Someone’s contract is broken.

The best defense of Avdiivka feels like going on the offensive in Bakhmut to start with.
When you have cleared there, you free up several brigades + you shake the Russian command seriously.
But of course, you have to hold Avdiivka in the meantime.
If you open a threat against Horlivka, the units at Avdiivka are closest and must be sent there to die.

Oryx reports that T55s are now on their way to the front (unmodified), BT-50 is the new black and to Ukraine’s great surprise they almost break through in smaller reconnaissance battles on the southern front and the Russians are pulling units away from Bakhmut.
The T55s thus take up transport space and workshops instead of all the T80s they have put aside (which they haven’t actually put aside…) and above all the optics and electronics are terrible.

Russian infantry in Bakhmut is presumably on foot so it could get lively if UA mech breaks through.
From the stands it looks difficult, sweaty and anxiety-filled now in the Russian command center. Flickering gaze, shiny forehead and they smell anxiety as they sit there googling about asylum.
A bit like that reserve major during our final exercise when the whole battalion stood with juice mixers in the middle of the field.
